Single small pizza deal with drink took over an hour to leave the store, when it did finally arrive (in a random private car by someone with no uniform) the pizza was not warm and they forgot the drink. He was meant to return with the drink but never came back! I will never order here again!

Ordered a pizza, waited 35 mins in store for it to be cooked, but when I checked it when getting back to the car, it was lukewarm. I took it back inside, but the staff member just told me “no no it’s not cold” and didn’t offer to cook another. Pizza was cold after the 10 min drive home. Never had this experience with any other papa johns store.

Waited 20 minutes and called them as I had no update on my order. Was told it would take a further 40 minutes and they would compensate me with an additional chicken wings side. The pizza arrived with barely any toppings and I never got my extra wings. Last time I'll ever spend money here. Avoid!

I've ordered pupa johns a few times everytime it takes for ever to deliver even if I order earlier to hopefully get on time but seams to take longer and longer call store up and Seams to be mugged 10min 15mins eachtime

Well after driving for 15 mins to pick up and 15 mins home we settle down to our takeaway treat as we recently welcomed a baby girl to the world. Well the treat ended in a disaster we ordered tandoori potato tots as well as pizza, my wife (a vegetarian for 16 years) took a bite out of one and was like this taste like chicken, looked to the other half of the 'tot' and it was indeed chicken, she instantly threw up, putting her off her food and frankly this store. Called up the store to a somewhat apology, offered some potato tots and a bottle of drink for the inconvenience. What a joke. If you fed a meat product taboo to someone's faith you'd be more apologetic than a bottle of drink. Don't visit this store who obviously have little to no customer service.

Do not eat here! They gave me chicken instead of potato and I’m allergic! When I called them they asked me to drop the food back off for a can of pop. Rubbish wasted 45 mins to collect my food order and wasn’t what I ordered. Wouldn’t go here again didn’t even get an apology.

DO NOT ORDER!! So was on me way home and figured I'd treat myself after seeing Taylor Swift last night. Little sister had a hankering for something starchy so ordered some potato tots as well as some other bits.....got home and took a bit and it defo weren't potato tots! Bloody chicken it was. What makes matters worse is my little sister is allergic to chicken, so had to quickly inform her that she couldn't have it!!! Phoned up to complain and was offered a measly bottle of drink, a very lacking apology and some potato tots to rectify it....was not pleased at all 😡

They are extremely stingy with toppings. I ordered a large Greek pizza, it's supposed to have feta cheese, olives, yellow peppers, tomatoes, extra cheese and herbs. My pizza came with 5 pieces of green bell pepper (that's not even supposed to be on there?) And sliced black olives. No feta, no tomatoes, no herb, no yellow peppers, it was a plain pizza with olives basically. The shop is 12 minutes away from us. And yet the delivery driver takes over half an hour to drive here after it says "out for delivery". We tried this place twice, and both time the food arrived cold. It was affordable with £10 large pizzas, but we will not order from here again. My partner ordered a chicken and bacon pizza and there was no bacon on her pizza, and about 8 pieces of chicken... You get almost no toppings... basically plain pizzas with one or 2 toppings in very small amounts, it never looks how it does on the website and it never comes with all the toppings it says in the menu..

This store is cost saving by putting around 50% of the ingredients on the pizza compared to other stores. Hardly any cheese in the stuffed crust, the crust is huge; the pizza toppings start at about 1/3 of the way down the pizza. The small circle that contains toppings uses the bare minimum. They should be investigated by HQ because they are absolutely not following the rules and ruining the brand.

Worst takeaway pizza I’ve ever had, actually scrap that. Probably one of the worst pizzas I’ve had. An oven pizza in the microwave would of probably been tastier. And to top it off, one of the chicken side pieces was unreadable. Absolutely gutted I’ve just wasted a Friday night’s takeaway on this, should have stayed with Dominoes or tried a local non franchise.

Terrible. This is the third time my partner and I have ordered from this papa johns in two years and each time our order has been wrong or the service has been awful. This will be the last time. We waited nearly two hours for our food. I phoned them multiple times in those two hours to be told that the food was ready but awaiting a driver. By the time it finally arrived, the pizzas were stone cold. I tried to decline the food from the driver only to be told that it wasn’t his problem. After calling them and telling them this I demanded a refund since the food was near inedible. The manager agreed and promised that the full refund would be in my account by 3 business days. It’s now 2 weeks later and still nothing. We did receive a poxy voucher for a medium pizza which we won’t be using considering we never even ate the two large pizzas that we originally ordered! See the photo attached to see the cardboard like “food” that found its way straight to the bin. Save your disappointment and go to dominos or make your own from scratch… it will be far quicker and actually edible.

Tasty pizza. Obviously we didn’t expect Ritz level of pizza for such a price like other reviews seem to have done. Staff were friendly, place was clean, and we enjoyed the pizza. Wait time of 10 minutes was better than expected. No complaints.

Got a pizza tonight and I think they forgot to put a tomato base or someone sucked all the tomato out been here 2nd time and Definitely disappointed been to PA John's in other places and there great

I order for pickup from here a lot - always get parked and my order is ready when I turn up, staff are friendly and offer to open the door for me when I leave with my handful of boxes and of course food is good. Would recommend!

Although it allowed me it input my address for what I intended to be a delivery order, it was processed as collection. Upon realising (the confirmation email) that this had gone through as a collection order, I called immediately. They couldn’t help and made this clear. I’ve paid for pizzas that have not been received. I wouldn’t use this place again.

I HATE leaving negative reviews for businesses but I’m at the end of the line… On the 2nd of December we ordered a meal from Papa Johns St Ives for delivery, on the app I could see it was cooked and good to go within 15mins but 2 hours later nothing had arrived! I rang to ask and was told the drivers were very busy I asked if they’d remake it as it’s sat under a lamp or 2 hours they said they wouldn’t and it would be at least another 30 minutes, to which I said cancel it and refund me. I was told it would be back in my bank within the week. Sure enough a week later it wasn’t there I rang and was told it’s with head office give it another week. A week went by… nothing so I went in and was told they physically can’t do refunds in store which I mentioned is a joke as they can quite easily take money. I then tried ringing their head office and just keeps going to voicemail. I have been in a further two times and rang another three just getting fobbed off and again the head office just goes to voicemail. Throughout all of this not one apology absolutely dreadful company I’d strongly recommend avoiding.

Ordered a cheese and tomato pizza and added mushroom. Although they charge for mushrooms, but I needed a magnifier to find any on the pizza! If they only sliced one mushroom on the pizza, it would have been more obvious! Pizza crust was not cooked and it was like a warm dough! I ordered a chocolate brownie as well and it was completely uncooked! I even think it was a chocolate chip cookie and not a brownie! Will not order again!

Tracking showed delivered at 8.13 and 8.46 still no pizza. Called got told on way will be 10 mins, called 10 mins later got told 20 minutes mins. They are fixing their times.

Ordered meal deal 25/11/23. Was over half an hour late despite giving two hours notice of delivery time. Pizzas were just about warm enough to be acceptable, but were severely lacking in toppings. The cheese and bacon potato tots were substituted for revolting battered cauliflower (I like cauliflower, these were just horrid!!) with no note of explanation or apology. They had even labeled the box as tots!! Rang the store who were less than bothered, and sounded even surprised I was calling to ask what had happened. Very rude man on the end of the phone. They've lost my custom for good.

1 star is the minimum I can vote luckily. Order placed at 6:30 for delivery at 7:45. Food yet to be received. Rung 3 times to be told my food will arrive soon 3 times. Not a great look

I wish I could give zero stars, absolutely awful service. The food took 1-hour to arrive, the driver called me as he could not find our house. He proceeded to drive straight past me and made me go to his car to collect the delivery through his window which I then found was missing one pizza. What we received was stone cold to add further insult. The second pizza turned up 10minutes later and guess what, that was cold too. The St Ives branch were totally unhelpful when I called them and just said "I will give you two free pizza's next time". Well you can keep the free pizza if this is the state of service from this branch, there will not be a next time as I will collect from Domino's instead

Amazing service as always from this location. If you’re an American, British pizza will absolutely not be up to standard as it’s very different. This place gets it right, even when other chains do not. Really good pizza and friendly service. Several people working at peak time and every one of them is working really hard, especially the woman at the register. I notice most of the bad reviews are for delivery and I can’t speak to that, but every time I’ve gone for a collection, it’s been phenomenal. Thank you!!

We ordered two pizzas during peak time and I expect the store to be busy. I didn't expect a series of taxi-driver style 'he's just around the corner' lies between the one and two hour marks. The app mistakenly showed delivered after 90 mins. On delivery, the food was cold to the point of not being edible. When called, we were told 'it can't be cold' without an ounce of sympathy or effort to redress. My friend, it has taken the best part of two hours to travel 20 minutes and it's stealing the heat from my house, I'm confident it can be. I understand fully that things can get busy, but manage it and be honest: give genuine lead times and plan routes to avoid cold deliveries. Surely such a large business could get that right. Certainly don't lie or refuse responsibility. I'll be asking for a full refund.

I made an order and after 1hr 30 I started to call asking where my order was, the store told me that my order would be 10 mins away and I called two times after this and they said the same that it would be here in 10 minutes. After 2 hours I called again to be told my order was not present on the system? My payment went through, the order was present on my account and I was able to track it, so i’m not sure what the issue was? I called to cancel the order after being fed up with it all, so I check back on my account and it has been cancelled. How can they cancel an order that hasn’t appeared on their system? The service used to be fantastic but I cannot trust this store anymore.

Every other time I order it takes about two hours for the pizza to come, whenever I’ve called they blatantly lie to me and say the driver is 5 minutes away? I’m not mad I’m just bummed out because it’s probably an issue with management :((

Absolutely shocking experience once again. Ordered online at 1833. Tracker not updated. Rang 1 and a half hours later to the excuse "the systems broken please wait 15-20 minutes more. 45 minutes later still no delivery. Rang again to be told ANOTHER 25 minutes. Absolutely no urgency and the audacity to offer a drink as an apology. The pizza could have grew legs and walked itself faster. Not even a sorry. Order cancelled and refund apparently will be processed, let's hope that system doesn't break...

Spent nearly £100 here for a delivery. I asked for the delivery to be at 1pm. Driver turns up at my work at 12:31 and calls me to say he’s here. I didn’t get his first call as I’m working and not expecting the food for another 30 mins. He then starts leaving me very aggressive, angry and rude voicemails about where am I, he’s waiting etc. I called him back and explained he’s 30 mins early but I will send someone down asap to get it. This wasn’t good enough however, he then starts being extremely aggressive, threatening and rude screaming at me on the phone. I have the voicemails that I will very happily publicly share!! When I sent my friend to the carpark to meet him, he starts being very confrontational and aggressive towards her, even though she was there within 5 mins of him initially calling. He got so bad we had to get security to make him leave. All this for a pizza… yeh not worth it!!😡😡

How can you get it so wrong??? I remember when the branch opened and it was great food and great service. However this is just a joke. On a Sunday night, so not even prime business hours, our food took over an hour and 30 minutes to be delivered and when it arrived it was cold. There was no apology. The app updated me 25 minutes after ordering that my pizza was cooked but there was no further updates including when it was out for delivery. The phone number for the store didn't even ring, it just was dead. When we did get through the lady said it had been dispatched 30 minutes ago but then quickly changed that to say there was a mistake and it had been collected by a driver 11 minutes ago. I asked if I could have fresh pizza cooked and pick it up from the store. The lady said she would check with her manager and put me on hold. When she returned she told me that pizzas are cooked fresh and would arrive fresh and hot when it came. I asked to speak to her manager and she put me back on hold. This time when she returned, she told me her manager was busy for 5 minutes so I said I would wait on hold. When the manager came on there was no apology and again I didn't feel listened to. I asked for my request for fresh pizza to be cooked and for me to pick it up and got told no and that it was on its way. He said it is fine and I then shared I had read reviews about long wait times and cold pizza and regretted my decision in ordering and had I done some research I wouldn't have ordered. He said I didn't have to have the pizza but I informed him I had already paid for it online. He told me I could cancel it online. He then hung up on me. It was the worst example of customer service I have ever seen. I then had to phone back to confirm my order was still being delivered. I wouldn't have minded if I felt listened to on the phone and if I didn't have two young children waiting for their dinner It's the most disappointing experience I have ever had ordering a pizza and will be going back to Dominos and recommending people avoid ordering from here. There are so many other options for takeaway in the area, this should be bottom of the pile. I will be emailing customer support for a refund.

Bunch of idiots. Completely messed up our order, called the store to sort it out. The girl on the phone sounded like she had about 1 brain cell when trying to explain to her. Told me they will send out the correct order. Never recieved it.

Go somewhere else. Awful manager, horrendous attitude. Over an hour long wait and they still hadn't even sent it out yet! Then a phone call with the manager who refused to cancel my order or provide a refund. Chargeback claim it is then.

I feel that Papa is massively u der rated you know! I love a Papa Johns and there is always some kind of deal on to make it worth while visiting orienting a delivery. The food was good, hot, and got demolished! We will be back.

Worst run pizza franchise I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with in my life. Where can I start? I’ve ordered several dozen times (fool I am). Food always late, staff are always rude, aggressive amd unapologetic, wrong pizzas and wrong toppings frequently delivered, drivers too incompetent to follow basic satnav directions, store doesn’t accept cash et cetera. Truly this has been the most consistently terribly ran pizza franchise I have ever had the absolute displeasure of dealing with in my life. Whoever runs this place should eternally hang their head in shame as they’ve accomplished nothing but to tarnish the reputation of an otherwise esteemed restaurant. Truly the owner and management of this franchise should never be allowed in the food industry again. EVER.

Ordered pizza takeaway for family night in at ST IVES BRANCH CAMBS, took 1 and a half hours to arrive, was stone cold, toppings missing, arrogant and rude response from the company, refused to give me refund unless I agreed for them to come back and take the cold pizza my children had finally got to eat !!! I would give no stars if I could! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We ordered a pizza from here, waited over 1.5hrs for it to arrive, chased up with them over the phone and told the driver had been stuck in traffic and would be with us in 10 mins - 30 mins later still waiting! Phoned again and the member of staff was unbelievably rude on the phone, we asked to cancel the order for a refund and he refused to do so, argued aggressively with me on the phone. I ended up hanging up. The food then arrived 20 mins later and was stone cold. We contacted Papa Johns directly for a refund but have still heard nothing back from the store over a month later. I don’t write bad reviews generally but everyone needs to be aware how shocking this store is!

Very disappointed with the quality. Had a bbq pizza and it did not have any bbq sauce. Unlikely to order again as this was the second time and nothing seems to have improved.

Avoid ordering from here at all costs. We ordered 1 pizza, that took almost 2 hours to arrive. We called several times and not only did they keep making false promises as to when it would be here, they hung up on me twice when I asked politely how long it was going to be and whether that wait time was acceptable. Been ordering from the st Ives store for years at this point. I cant say how many times they make mistakes with orders, and it's always an indifferent tone on the end of the phone when you want your refund for missing items. They just sound like they don't care. Why do we have to ask 4 or 5 times, why must we negotiate? I give 2 stars because the food is ok when it shows up (and it's warm). I just don't understand what is so difficult. How do you forget 50% of the order?!

So we ordered a pizza on New Year’s Eve in advance to save the rush… The pizza came on time but was the wrong order. The pizza was absolutely disgusting. I called to say this pizza was rubbish and wasn’t fit for eating. The manager replied “as long as it was hot, it’s ok ??” He the accused me of trying to get some of or nothing,,, I replied I only want what I had paid for… I got abuse from the manager and no refund or more importantly a replacement pizza… Disgusting service and should be shut down… Dominos will get my custom from now on…

Edit: I wrote the review below out of frustration. After having written it, the delivery came after almost 2 hours I ordered it! Luckily, the food was hot and tasty, so I want to be more nuanced in my rating. A delivery service that does not deliver. Lovely! Do not make the mistake I made.

Extremely disappointing service. Ordered at 06:15pm, first rang up at 07:30pm asking where my food was, I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. 30 minutes later, still nothing. Eventually showed up just before 08:15pm. Rather than lie to me on the phone, I would have appreciated a bit of honesty on how delayed the delivery was going to be. The only good thing was the delivery driver was very kind and apologetic. The food was stone cold however by the time I got it and it tasted off.

Not very impressed. We had placed an order for delivery and after waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes, our pizza turned up cold and dry. It looked like it had been sat there for some time. Our garlic bread was burnt and also cold, honestly the warmest thing in our order was the bbq dip. Won’t be ordering again.

Been using this restaurant since it opened. Never had any problems until tonight when I found that they'd introduced a delivery charge to my village (I live 10 minutes from the store). Ordered a pizza at 4.30 for delivery at 5.30. It arrived at 6.05, it was cold and stodgy. Phoned to say that I wasn't very happy to be told that I lived too far away to ensure hot food. So why offer delivery (at a cost) and why is it any different today than any other time? I was offered a free pizza next time, I asked instead for a refund and was told I'd have to return the food I'd ordered 90 minutes prior. While I was tempted to say it would be on the doorstep waiting for someone to collect it, I instead asked what the difference was between a free cold pizza next time and a free cold pizza this time, to be greeted with more lame excuses about being unable to deliver at the very least warm food. So I hung up. Sorry Papa, I'm out.
