Papa John's in Havering

Been ordering from here for years. Never had a problem. Ordered tonight at 10.17. 6 sides. Order accepted, tracker says ready at 10.30, then nothing.... No "on the way" . You waited until 11 o clock to cancel my order without telling me and clearly closing up shop because I rang like the tracker told me but no answer. So now I'm down the money and I've got no food. I wouldn't mind if you cancelled and told me and I could go and order more food but like cowards you waited until yourself and the rest of the other places were closed and then cancelled without even notifying me. So yeah thanks a bunch. Gutted coz we love papa's but you didn't even have the decency to tell me you couldn't be bothered to send me my order.

Dreadful customer service. Pizza in itself is fine but the customer service is shocking. They pretend food is dispatched when it's clearly not and if you chase it they are likely to hang up. There are many better places in upminster for this kind of food.

This branch is very bad. The pizza was shambles. It looked like someone droped it and still packed it. The cheese was missing on half the pizza. They didnt put stuffed crust even tho i paid £3 extra each pizza for stuffed crust. Then they didnt answer my phone. Was about to go to the store for a refund but my family stopped me incase i go prison over a margarita. Ordered online on a Monday so it's not like they were super busy. Will never order from papa johns again in my life. Absolutely rubbish staff who have no care of customer service. Management should look into this before u lose all your customers.

The best place to order your pizza because they have the best chefs to prepare your order.

I waited about an hour for my pizza although the estimated time was 30 to 40 minutes. The delivery guy was polite and friendly. The pizzas were hot, tasty and not soggy or damp like pizzas I've had before from other places. I'd recommend looking at the deals on Papa John's website before just picking up the phone.

An hour wait and then get told that if I’m not happy then send it back. Jokers!! Service has gone down hill massively. Busy or not, you seriously need to manage customer expectations and with some manners

I received the wrong order. I have called them twice and nobody answered and I needed to travel to them to ask for explanations. After I collected my order from them. It is a joke … I don’t know what happened with the delivery driver…

Always the best but it would be nice to place an order and have my pizza ready for collection with the same price as displayed on the window.

In the past week or month a new guy started working there with long black hair who is a very nice guy, very polite, very welcoming and honestly gives you the service of a restaurant in papa johns. Food was nice and hot.

1 star is too good for this, a complete and utter joke. On no less than 3 occasions in the past 4 months pizzas have taken over 2 hours to be delivered. They don't even answer the phones, either they hang up on you, or they just let them ring for 5 minutes. Papa John's should be doing more to protect their brand from disgraceful franchisees like this. Avoid like the plague!

If you like waiting 2 hours for a cold pizza......then this is the place for you. You'll think it's just a one off and that it won't happen again. Oh no, it's their policy to be consistently late.

Awful service. I pre ordered pizza during the day on numerous occasions in advance and still over 2 hour late! I give up on this branch.

*AVOID AT ALL COSTS* Poor customer service that never answer the phone when chasing a delayed order; the one time they did they hung up whilst I was talking. Food turned up an hour over expected delivery, by which point it was cold and missing toppings. Shocking.

Disgusting treatment and service worst pizza company ever, place order 2 hours ahead for a 7.15pm delivery, 7.45 they finally answer after 20 attempts to get through to be told order cancelled, a 2 hour wait time, no refund of monies so manager of Upminster papa john needs to be trained in how to deal with customers and run a business, hate to think what there pizza would be like with this level of service,

Ordered 3 pizzas- 2 were fine and nice but on the last they completely missed the instructions. When we called up, they said we couldn't get a refund or a new pizza unless we waited for 1hr and 30mins because their staff were off (despite it being 9.30 and it closes at 11), so we could get a discount for next time. Next time, I'll save my time and go to Dominos.

The Manager is a disgrace, I've never ever experienced bad customer service in my life. We ordered a large pizza, there were barely any toppings (basically cheese/tomato) so I phoned to complain. Store offered a free pizza at a later date, phoned to order the free pizza but the Manager refused and said we can only order a cheese/tomato medium pizza and have to collect, very rude and arrogant and I will not be using them again purely because of this.

Really disappointed, we have ordered from other papa johns but this one is the worst, previously they delivered large pizzas with ingredients only in the middle, did not want to order from them again but I did, and again I was disappointed with the service, won’t go into detail, but the brand is good it is only the service at the Upminster branch that really disappoints, money hungry, franchise buying people with no love for product. Just look at the other reviews.

I always enjoy their pizzas. They are the only ones we buy.

We do like their non vegan Pizza's. However we have tried most of the vegan pizza's and we are not a fan of them. We believe it is the cheese that ruins it. If a different vegan cheese could be used, the taste would be so much better. Wont be ordering anymore Vegan pizza's from any Papa John's Pizza in the future. Although we do appreciate how they include Vegan pizza on their deals unlike Dominos's which exclude Vegan pizza on deals. Also we dont recommend the Vegan Cheese & Marmite® Scrolls.

Ordered two pizzas, both hand no tomato sauce, base was tough and tasteless. After much discussion and stock standard answers the Upminster Papa Johns employee promised two free pizzas next time. Called up a week later to order the promised replacement pizzas, yet again after much discussion they finally agreed to what was promised. The new pizzas were just as bad. We love Papa Jons but not the Upminster store - if your a fan of pizza - don't bother with this store. Its awful. Romford store is way better or any other Papa jons in the area

Just pickup the pizza from the branch. Service was good and fast however, the pizza was very short of toppings😡. At some of the slices there was no or bare minimum. Toppings were also unevenly distributed.

Just ordered a double pepperoni, must admit I never do reviews, but, in this case I feel moved to moan. Burnt on the bottom, no care taken, lack of professionalism in sending such crap out of their take away. Should have read the reviews first before ordering. Should be ashamed, people pay good money. Even the dog rejected it!

Our favourite pizza takeaway, we were converted a few years ago and will always choose this as our favourite. The delivery driver we normally have is on time and friendly.

I think this has got to be THE BEST papa johns I have ordered takeout from- the staff are happy to help if you have any special requests and the food always arrives promptly and is always hot like it’s fresh out of the oven which is an added bonus - the delivery man is also very friendly!

Like I have read on other reviews there was a problem with the app on ordering and first one said that the basket stated empty. So reordered the same meal which went through and confirmed the meal. Pizza man delivered double the amount, when I queried why so much he said you ordered twice. I said no it was only once so he basically said oh well ring the shop! Rang straight away to be told by rude manager who completely spoke over me that they rang two numbers (funny how neither rang) and therefore said that they thought it was correct. I had ordered the pizza in half and half so said well that should have shown you it wasn't correct as why would I have ordered half and half same pizza twice ? I would have simply ordered 2 pizzas with the topping all over!! I said that I wanted a refund as not my mistake and paid in advance on PayPal and that as a customer who only buys pizza from here I would not be reordering if not refunded. This so called manager clearly did not give a toss and point blank refused a refund for their error! Never again, steer clear! And to rub insult into wound all the food was barely warm! Terrible service!!

Ordered and waited half an hour later than expected for my food to arrive, called up the restaurant who were extremely unhelpful and in the end refused to deliver my order as it did not contain a pizza, despite no where on their policy stating this. Extremely dissatisfied, will not be ordering from Papa Johns Upminster again.

Tried to get a refund for a badly made pizza but staff were rude to me and told me the pizza was fine so no refund??? So much for the customer being right. A shame because I've had good pizza from them before but after this will never buy from them again and will advise others not to aswell!

Ordered a delivery from there recently and found that they were very quick and efficient. When the food arrived it was piping hot and was well made. This was a pleasent surprise 😀
