Papa Johns in Glasgow City

Literally had the worst delivery experience with this fast food place - we tried ordering a student discount pizza deal but the app was failing to work and the workers on the phone, the supposed "manager", did not help at all and repeatedly hung up on us. I've never had such an inadequate service from a pizza place ever and I will never order something from here ever again because we literally failed to get our pizzas - the bare minimum. I hope this pizza place goes out of business because we didn't even get what we wanted and on time - we did not want to pay £17 for ONLY sauces and sides. I advise anyone reading this to never order from here again.

I received the most fabulous service and food I’ve ever had from Papa John’s!!

If I could give the place negative stars I would they have caused a disaster with a miscommunication with the staff trying to give it their personal phone numbers to customer to get photos. We placed an order to Celebrate someone in our family being cancer free but it was cut short as the staff don’t know how to proper communicate in order with customers and doublecheck that the right things are ordered. We were only given half an order as our label only says one item was delivered. We have no other labels to prove anything else through the PAPA Johns guide for the customers so they know exactly what they have as we have seen tonight. Protocol was not followed in this branch. We felt I’m comfortable due to the staff members behaviour.

Vegan and vegetarian options,Amazing pizza and sides. I ordered 2 mid pizzas and 2 sides with large drink. In fair price. Highly recommend.

As an Asian I prefer vegan and vegetarian first. So I highly recommend Papa Johns. There you get a lot option for vegetarian items.

Never ordering from here again. The food never arrived. I called the restaurant to find out what was happening, but the staff were very unhelpful and didn't seem to know what was going on.

I ordered 2 pizzas 2 sides and 2 juice tonight and only one small pizza one juice and one side. Some of it was on a deal so the total came to 29£ of thereabouts. I called to say my food was missing and the guy said that’s all I had ordered gave me some verbal abuse and put the phone down. I will never order from this place again. Shocking service.

I have never waited so long on a pizza 70mins later after two phone calls to papa johns the pizza & tatter tots arrived frozen no heat in any of them . Ridiculous amount of time to wait on a cold order will definitely not be ordering from papa johns again . Or recommending papa johns .

60% off in January! Would be rude not to partake in such offerings. Pizza was good value for the price but lacking a little in flavour. Can’t fault the staff or branch it’s just personal preference but I prefer more oomph to my pizza.

Since new owners took over in July 2023 staff don't speak English get your order wrong and the blame you for not telling them. Also they are so slow Just Eat delivery drivers start taking pizza out oven touching them with their hands!

Food arrived 2 mins before final deadline and was cold.

I've waited 90 minutes for pizza a few times, including tonight, and I won't bother with this place again. They never answer the phone, checking on my last order I waited over 5 minutes of ringing before anyone bothered picking up, and when they did the person was rude and unhelpful. The pizza quality varies day by day too. Order on a quiet day and it's OK, on a busy day you'll get hardly any toppings and it'll look like the someone used it as a frisbee I know they're struggling to find drivers, but it's not really much consolation when you're starving, wait ages, then get delivered a cold old crumpet instead of a delicious, piping hot pizza, is it?

I was under the impression I would receive a reasonable sized pizza. How is it possible that I have been given a tiny 10 inch pizza and a bottle of juice for over £30? I would like a refund please.

Waiting for food for 3 hours and half and still food is not coming.

Used order from here regularly, however on 2 occasions have been waiting over an hour for food. The first time we waiting over 2 hours for cold pizza and they wouldnt answer the phone. I contacted head office got given free pizzas as recompense. Tonight A month later gave them another chance and the same thing happened. Won't be back.

Sadly I had already bought a pizza when I caught sight of their waste disposal bins They were overflowing into the car park and seagulls were having a field day on the discarded flour and cheese that had presumably gone past its sell by date. Made me worry about the state of the kitchen.

Took two hours to arrive, poor delivery man looked fed up, as if he's had to apologise to many people.. they refused to answer their phones, so asking for an update or cancel my order was not an option. To add salt they gave me the wrong pizza!!

No toppings I had ordered whatsoever on pizza and not even a tomato/cheese base, but a nearly bare dough base, terrible....and the cinnapie desert was brick hard, nearly broke a tooth, this used to be a good pizza place years ago, but absolutely dire...severely went downhill....reviews speak for themselves

I ordered pizza and it was sent from the Broomhill outlet. The pizza was not cooked, Veges were raw barely any cheese on the pizza .even the taste of the cheese was stale . Upon calling the outlet for a request to speak to the in charge , the in store supervisor hung up on me after listening to my complaint and then never answered the multiple calls . Disappointed It’s the second time it’s happened with me Atleast you can acknowledge your mistake and apologies instead of being rude and not answering again I paid for the pizza okay!!!! and not asked for a free!!!!!! Decided to try Papa Johns for a change but extremely disappointed when i opened the box. The 'steak' on the philly cheese steak pizza was so overcooked and dry (burnt basically) and the onions were still raw. Won't be ordering from here again.

Nice enough pizzas but rubbish customer service. I would try somewhere else.

Ordered a half and half xxl pizza with my partner. Arrived as only my order for whole pizza. Called to complain. Rude, unhelpful. Said we can only replace if pizza entirely uneaten i had a couple slices of my “half” Because one is hungry when ordering pizza. And my half was fine. Eventually agreed to replace pizza but would be picking up “wrong”pizza. No other compensation- a firm and rude no- but what we ordered didnt come, and them, after complaint, came late. And attitude was appalling. Like you did not provide what we asked and paid for? Will never order again.

Ordered 2 small pizzas. One looked ok but was doughy and undercooked in centre. The other didn’t even have a crust. Loaded right to the edge and soggy in middle. Cheese stuck base to box around rim of pizza and doughy middle was already stuck and tried to get slices off with spatula but they were torn in half and wet. Usually enjoy pizza from here and we’ve been ordering for years but lately its a lottery on quality. No consistency at all.

New website, less deals, no longer any option to do half & half pizza unless you phone in the order, which would be ok if you got someone that can string a sentence together in English. Customer for decades, not any more, sick of the constant decline of Papa Johns.

Ordered a few times from here, something... mainly drinks are always forgotten and a refund is promised but never delivered just like the item in the first place. (On a side note, I stopped the driver leaving in a black Audi A4 or A5 who was drinking a 500ml pepsi, who knows maybe coincidence, and he said he'd come back in 15 minutes with another one, phoned them an hour later and they stated, "driver told us about this, we'll refund you" never happened). And the distance and area covered means that the food is almost certainly lukewarm when it arrives. My opinion is just to choose a more reputable franchise. The only reason to ordered is the gluten free base, nothing more, which is why it gets 2 stars instead of one for the utterly poor service. In fact let's lower that to one star.

Terrible service. Monday night and it took 1 hour and 20mins to deliver two pizzas. Before the order was placed the delivery time was quoted as 25mins. Then the so called tracker said they were being "quality checked and sliced" for about 35mins. When the food did finally arrive the "quality seal" on both pizzas was open. Absolute joke and won't be using them again.

The pizzas from this shop specifically are amazing and always very quick too.

Terrible costumer service. They don’t answer the phone. A first order didn’t go through but they charged the order and they didn’t help to solve it. After an hour and a half of placing my order for delivery I had to go to the shop to collect and they hadn’t even started preparing.

Like Dominos the pizza is nothing special,staff member pleasant ,desserts are all really good.

Busy place pizzas are great but waiting times can be a lot longer than they tell you when ordering. Plenty of free parking right outside. Better to order via an app and have delivered if it is in your catchment area.

This pizza establishment lacks the basics. They do not accept money only bit coin. have witnessed the staff picking there noses and touching the food.

i love papa johns there pizzas are amazing, however recently they have made it so you can only pay using paypal on there site. And I like many others have recently been banned from using paypal for no reason also not everyone even has paypal. So they are most likely going to lose a lot of business. Don't understand why they removed the pay by card feature because certain deals are only available VIA on there website.

Ordered two pizzas a side and dessert but they got one of the pizzas wrong. After I phoned they said they would bring a replacement and they brought the wrong pizza. However they did give us a free side and dessert but they did get our pizza order wrong twice.

Late delivery, tracking app completly wrong, no quality seal on any of the boxes, the no-contact measures promised on the website are nonexistent and it's expensive af. Pizza is ok tho.

Dire service , lukewarm and under topped pizza. a shambles from end to end. Bought online to collect. Stood at till for five minutes till someone bothered to speak to me. Took them five more minutes to find the pizza that was already under the hot lamp and took home a double pepperoni pizza lacking in the double or heat or any semblance of flavour. I will never return.

Weirdest, worst pizza in Glasgow. Awful. Floppy and hard to pick up. Meant to be thin crust. Both smelled weird. So fake and artificial tasting. Pizza looked like Trumps face.

The issue that I have experienced was: It took 45 minutes to deliver our order in which we had to contact the store to ask where our order was, concerned about the food quality/warmth, having taken so long. After delivery we sampled the pizza only to find it was lukewarm at best and the cheese on top one of the pizzas had started to congeal. The diet irn bru we had ordered was also incorrectly sent as ordinary irn bru So we called the restaurant to complain and enquire about having fresh pizza delivered only to be confronted by an argumentative european girl called Maria. She was unsympathetic in her robot like tone and told me that she could do nothing until the manager started his shift at 7pm. A whole 3.5hrs later. So we paid close to £40 pounds for an order to slowly arrive, to be served congealed cheese pizza, then wait with the order for 3.5hrs until someone will care to send us a fresh one. Is this really the service that papa johns provides? Nevermind the argumentative member of staff, there is no-one with the authority in store to send out a fresh pizza, whilst you deliver during the day? When I requested she have the manager call me when he started his shift she refused to guarantee this would happen. No one called!! I am really disappointed with the food quality and customer service experience on this occasion. Completely unsatisfactory. It’s an 8 min drive away the branch) I decided to use my free pizza code that I was given after my last order was very cold and I contacted PapaJohns via FB messenger. Sadly this order was exactly the same as the previous one. So I called the branch and spoke to the store manager who was horrible, unfriendly and rude! I live 2 miles from the branch, (8 min drive on google and Apple maps) it took 25 minutes for the food to arrive and when it did it was barely warm! Again.The driver didn’t hand me the items from a thermal bag and the manager proceeded to inform me the terms and conditions “don’t guarantee a hot pizza” and that he had “nothing to say sorry for” His attitude for a store manager was abhorrent! Telling me that the 2 mile journey might take that long due to temporary traffic lights. ( which there are none btw) I know the area, It’s quiet, it’s 7pm on a Saturday night. Weather isn’t bad. He told me that his drivers only take one order at a time?! So for one order the driver is taking 50 mins for a 4 mile round trip! Wow! Long night ahead for customers. And zero cash for the drivers by the sounds of it, as they get docked for being too slow! He continued to undermine me, talk over me, tell me he had no reason to apologise and that he had done everything he could. Which was nothing!! Brilliant Service,helpful staff & tasty food.

Everytime I order a pizza by itself I get a dip. So dip comes with a pizza, like dominos like papa's should. Then when I order sides + dips. They either don't give me the dip with the pizza or forget one of my dips, every order - not just one.

Absolute disgrace , phoned at 50 mins told it would be 5 mins, told the same again at 1 hour 20 so cancelled as we were clearly being lied to. Hope papa johns are proud of these franchisees

The veg for pizzas is cut by the delivery drivers next to the toilet and none of them wash their hands. Vastly over priced.

Ordered collection and took it home and it took more than 30 minutes before wanting to tuck in. Saw pizza was raw and phoned papa johns who said is wasn’t raw (without seeing it) and that their t&c’s day if you’re unhappy you must return within 30 minutes. Apparently that applies to undercooked food as well as general satisfaction. No phone call as promised. Disgusting service. £26 for undercooked pizza is appalling and their front of desk for what should be a simple solution (replace the pizza and take the other one back nothing else) is a no brainier to me but clearly these guys don’t want repeat custom and like calling me at least a liar.

Order took 70 minutes to arrive; at 50 mins we called and were told it had just left by manager. A further 20 min later the driver arrived saying he had left 2 mins before; stone cold...we literally live round the corner! Asked for refund, and manager said he had sent an order, so couldn’t refund. We reiterated order was cold and he said he could have new order sent out but they were very busy ..... aye ok. Never mind. Finally agreed to give refund but service and attitude shocking. Not the first time this has happened. Won’t be back.

Called twice tonight to say 1 pizza not good, refused to exchange told us to read the terms and conditions, not what it says on the box! Buffalo sauce was off but told us the colour had changed but tasted the same, advised that 3 of us disagreed but he new better. Offered 3 sauce and a Dessert for free, not acceptable, we will no longer use Papa John's.
