Says fresh ingredients but when it arrived and we took one bite we could tell the cheese was off. Called to ask them to replace it but they just put the phone down so went into the store and told them to replace as it wasn't edible. Seems they don't check or use fresh stock at this one unfortunately.

Waited 40 minutes for our food to go from preparing to in the oven. Tried to call to ask if there was an issue with the tracker and was put on hold and never had my call answered. Food went out for delivery and didn't show up for an hour. Ordered at 8.08pm and two pizzas showed up at 10.10pm and the shop refused to answer any calls to follow up over the two hour wait. Waste of £30 don't know if the shop has changed hands as they used to be great but this was a terrible experience. Never again.

The shop is good and the pizza is very delicious and juicy and what I like most about papa John’s free Pepsi Max with the small pizza.and the stuff are very good and they are respectfully and the cook the pizza clean and we order it on our house and the delivery are fast to come to my house and our parents the love papa John’s.

I was quite skeptical because I have never ordered from Papa John ever and it was gonna challenging because this was party order and every buddy wanted to try some different flavours. So we had ordered 10 Pizzas along with sides and it was no wonder when we receive the delivery on Time and all pizzas were super delicious and with exact temperature. My all friends were extremely happy and I must say #PapaJohns Duke street made my day and party fruitful. I am gonna always get my pizzas from Papa John’s ❤️❤️ 😊

Papa John's duke street is such a great place to go to, the customer service is good and the people that make the pizza are really nice. The pizzas are delicious and the outside/inside of the place is amazing. In addition it's a warm welcoming place.

I ordered from papa johns duke street on 1 march. It's amazing pizza, I am ordering from last two years. I recommend Papa Johns store.

Ordered £30 worth of Papa John's at 11:18 pm. Waited for 1.45 hrs, no pizza. App showed delivered at 1:01 am, but no pizza. Duke Street didn't answer. Called another store, got in touch with driver. Pizza arrived at 1:33 am, cold. Extremely embarrassing with guests. Requesting a refund for this poor service. It’s been over 3 days I have emailed this issue, used their customer support and even contacted on Instagram but never heard back from any place from them.

Lovely service and good quality food

Was asked to write a review when delivery arrived tonight so here it is. Order from here fairly regularly and it’s top notch when both collected and delivered. On this occasion the order was incorrect - customisations on a pizza were incorrect. Phoned the store who were very apologetic and replacement arrived within 40 mins. Human error will always happen, but how it is then rectified is what matters for us - in this case they did their best and sorted it so only a mild annoyance. After countless orders we’ve only had this one error. Pizza is usually good and is great value in comparison to the main competitors so will continue to order from here.

They are very good and provided a good service after a misunderstanding which was really appreciated.

Oh, Papa John's! I love their pizza! 🍕 The crust is always so deliciously crispy, and the toppings are so flavorful. Plus, they have a great variety of options to choose from. I definitely recommend giving it a try! 😄

Great Pizza, Rubbish service. Ordered pizza and juice, only pizza got delivered. Called the shop and they said they would send a driver out. 40 mins later still no show, called back, got told it'll be another 20 minutes. Well 40 mins later it arrived.

I use this store quite often, Pizzas always great. My feedback is about the app (again). I really think Papas need to work on their tech. The app recently had an update so had to re login. No worries there. Placed my order, re-entering all my details to them get an error at the end saying "one of the prices were updated on your order". Tried to go back/refresh and couldn't so closed the app and tried again, same issue. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app - same issue. Tried to "Report a bug" and then got asked some questions about my experience at the store???!!! I did not visit a store - I am trying, and failing to order a Pizza for dinner on the app! Gave up at this point and went to McDonald's - not a good business strategy Papas - you are have lost this order and I suspect I am not alone!!

Ordered food at 22.50, store closed at 00.00. Time is now 01.00 still no food! Tried to phone them at 23.40 to see where my order is and the phone just rang out, absolutely disgraceful! £39 down, no grub no joy. Can tell its new staff (probably young) that clearly don't care that people that do work hard, that sometimes can't be bothered cooking when they come home, spend their hard earned money on a takeaway and the idiots can't be bothered to complete the order! Saying that the tracking said my order arrived an hour and a half ago so either am demented or somebody's at it and ive basically just paid for the staff to take my dinner up the road with them! Shocking!

Placed an order for delivery tonight around 20:15, app marked it as being out for delivery at 20:41 and took 50 minutes later, called up asking where it was, apparently the driver was just around the corner and yet took another 10 minutes for the driver to arrive. Upon opening the box I was greeted with what seems to be a pizza carried on its end while smashed up the end of the box. Called the shop saying the pizza received was not anywhere near acceptable and was given the response "what do you want me to do about it?" refused to refund the order and insisted on remaking it and sending it out again. At this point I'm expecting it to be another hour or so before this replacement arrives and in the exact same condition as the first. Completely unacceptable.

Phoned in 20 minutes before I got here, when I got here I had to wait extra 10 minutes for a pizza.

Absolute terrible service delivery the first time was 3hrs late and cold so thought give it another try and the delivery was 2hrs late and cold a phoned the them and there attitude was it will be another 20min 45 min later still waiting service and attitude from that shop is horrendous

The absolutely rude and terrible customer service for the last time made me delete my account with them. Foods arriving more than 2 hours late, obviously cold, they won't event talk about it on the phone. Take it or throw it down the bin attitude. At some point I wondered if they actually get paid for their job because it felt like a vendetta against the customers. Never again. Domino's from now on.

I’m gluten intolerant and vegan so it’s very hard for me to eat out. The gluten free pizza is amazing. The vegan cheese is amazing. Thank you for having these options.

Good pizza but it's really annoying that this shop is so inconsistent with their opening times. Quarter to 7 on a Friday night and it says on their website that they are shut! Not the first time that google says open but it's not. Please update your opening times!

Don't waste your money here. Ordered a pizza, after an age the status changed to out for delivery- for an hour and a half until it was delivered stone cold obviously. These pizzas can't be reheated because they're like frozen pizzas so it went straight in the bin. Food took so long the icecream I ordered melted - even if it was vegan ice cream they gave me 🤦‍♀️ called straight away- the store was closed at this point as they took so long to deliver. 2 different staff members over the course of the month I spoke to offered me full refunds. I contacted their non franchised customer service team who told me the franchise owner actually isn't refunding me but gave me a free pizza :)) laughable. ** I gave them ample time to fix this before leaving a bad review.**

Friendly enough place. We ordered the vegan veg pizza. Their pizzas are cooked on a conveyor belt, not in a traditional pizza oven. No better than any frozen pizza you might buy in a supermarket and actually very expensive compared to the Italian restaurant we usually use that is far superior in every way for a lower price.

Papa johns pizza is my favourite, but their website makes ordering very complicated and once you accidentally clicked the button for collection it is impossible to change it to delivery unless you repeat the whole order again. They always send me that garlic dip that I cant stand, its not my taste at all and they give me no option to change it. I never order from papa johns anymore now. Their pizza is so good but their website is probably making them lose so much business.

I've never had a pizza from papa John's so I can't comment on them but the chicken wings are the best I've ever had . very lovely friendly staff.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Ordered a XXL BBQ pizza and it arrived without any BBQ sauce. I called the store and they said they would refund me. After a week I didn't get any money back so I sent an email to the store and after sending them photos of the pizza and explaining them what happened they now say that the cannot refund me because I didn't return the pizza to the store. Basically blaming me for their incompetence when at no moment they asked me to return the pizza or anything like this. Horrible place and horrible customer service.

Ordered online for delivery in an hour. Had to call after the hour had come and gone as the tracker said there had been no progress, pizza eventually turned up two hours later and was barely warm. This is a common occurrence at this branch as 99% of my orders are late to some degree (one turned up an hour early...). The food is nice though, so it's a bit annoying that the service is so bad.

I ordered a pizza on the last night which came as shown in the photo. It was undercooked and crushed into the side of the box. I called the store to complain about it and the person on the phone was very unhelpful, told me the manager needed to deal with the refund and would be in later, I received no call. In the morning when they opened I called again to complain and was told yet again the manager wasn't in yet and they would be in at 6pm and to call at 7pm if I hadn't heard anything from them. Come 7pm I called yet again to be told the manager wasn't in tonight and they were the only one who could process the refund and to call tomorrow. It feels like are hoping I will stop calling for a refund. I will never be ordering from papa john's again. The food was unbeatable and had to be binned.

Ordered food on the 24th of the deliveroo app. The order never came and now they are saying they tried to deliver it and tried to call me which neither of that happened. I spent £35 pound on that order. This place will con you out of your money

My pizza was not supposed to have chillies. I scooped out this many so far.. The rest of my order was lovely Update. They replaced that pizza.

The Duke Street franchise has very poor customer service. Extreme delays in delivery and the pizzas arrived cold twice. The store responded saying that there is nothing they can do about it!!!!!

First time trying Papa Johns and I wasn’t let down. I was lucky enough to win a free large pizza on their fb competition, which I shared with my partner. I ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza - along with a side of hot piri piri poppers and jalapeño bites. The pizza was so nice and I loved the generous lashings of tomato sauce on the base. Plenty of cheese also. Definitely will be back. Thank you so much!

Food took about an hour and 45 minutes to arrive , stone cold ,so we are paying for reheated food thanks guys , not good service at all , and a response of 5 pounds off our next order , I won't order here again so you can keep it...

I made a delivery order online at 1:15AM. Everything seemed to be fine and in order - the pizza tracking app showed it was being cut up and inspected. No reason to think it wasn't coming. It's now 3AM and I'm sat about waiting like a numpty for a pizza that isn't coming. Phones are off as the store is closed now. Employees are clearly a bunch of skidmarks, and I hope a bird shytes in their eyes.

Ordered four pizzas, two hours later the app said it was delivered but no sign of them! I’d waited outside for almost an hour. The driver never came into our road. Phoned them and the manager said he’d just go and check where it was and never came back on the call. Stayed on the call for half an hour until I physically turned up at the shop and the manager looked embarrassed when he realised and said he’d ‘forgotten’ we were on the phone!!! His excuse was it had been ‘manic’. Still he had no idea where my order was so ran around the shop looking lost to track it down. Terrible service, terrible staff. If we hadn’t gone in person we never would have got our food that’s for sure…Who forgets they are on the phone to a customer?!?! Avoid.

Absolutely diabolical service when attempting to get a home delivery via Just Eat. Order accepted and money taken but then no delivery although according to them they sent it out.... Tried for over an hour to call the Duke Street restaurant but no answer..... Completely ruined my Halloween evening trying to sort it out. Hugely disappointed and I will never be using this restaurant again 😡😤😠🤬

Awful delivery service and lies from the store staff when calling to find out where the order was (told on my first call it was just out of the oven - told on my second call 40 minutes later it was just going into the oven). Arrived almost 2 hours late and the order was wrong with both quality seals ripped. Won’t be using this place ever again.

It's a fast food. As fast foods go. Don't expect 5 star. How ever 4 star is within reach. We enjoyed it.

Love it - pizzas are always perfect, delivered quickly and always piping hot. The delivery drivers always obey Covid distancing rules. This over a Domino’s any day.

I always collect as I drive by from work. Staff are always really friendly and the pizzas beat your standard selection of pizza franchises, I.e. Dominoes, pizza Hut etc. Highly recommend the tandoori spice pizza. 👌

Please Note: This is my own entitled opinion, so take this review with a pinch of (pizza) salt. Okay so where do I start? I'll start with the garlic sticks. They were okay to be honest, the garlic sauce that came with them was terrible, simply awful. The tomato sauce was edible though little better than a school meal. My ham and pineapple pizza was mostly just bread not much ham nor pineapple on it. It was okay and edible though. Not much decorations. I don't think I'll be back in a while, if ever

Worst customer experience, i spoke to the manager who seem to have a chip on his shoulder and behaved like he owned the world. Very disappointed!

The pizza took 10 mins to make but then 40 mins to come which is crazy because it’s only 12 min drive away from my house. It came cold and it wasn’t tasty at all. There isn’t a big choice of toppings maybe more variety of chicken , like a spicy chicken would be nicer but over all, their pizzas are not nice , and my boyfriends stomach has been sore all day after eating one.

We ordered the pizza on the app, in advance, to arrive at 7:45. It didn't arrive untill an hour after. We made a phone call at around 8 oclock to see where the pizza was, they told us it was with the driver. It still took 45 minuets to get to us. When it did arrive the pizza was bearly tepid, and there was very few chicken peices in the box we ordered. All round not a good experience

I was placing a order for delivery at 1:35am which I plenty of time before delivery ends and the male manager said he didn't want to send out anymore deliveries at this time which he actually lied and said the time was 1:45am when it was actually 1:35am. I have ordered deliveries as late as 1:45am and have received them no problems so I don't understand why this manager was unwilling to deliver at this time. His attitude was really bad as well, I feel his attitude was totally unprofessional, we expect more as we spend hundreds of pounds per year on this service from this particular branch.

This place is super fast, and pizza is perfect 👍 I ordered from there and pizza was ready in like 10 minutes. They have a range of good offers online. Highly recommended

First time ordering tonight and will definitely NOT be ordering again. Ordered at 4.03 and by 4.14 had a notification it was out for delivery. How can a large pizza, cheese sticks and cinnamon scrolls (which were somehow burnt on the bottom) be cooked, inspected, packaged and with the driver ready for delivery in only 11 minutes?? Large sections with no sauce, cheese or toppings. Only trace amounts of meat but huge chunks of onion and tomato. Very poor quality and more than half was left uneaten. Please consider ordering from any other pizza place!

I ordered from here, waited for the delivery driver, never showed up, called again, delivery driver came, then threw the loudest tantrum saying that I was not here when he arrived the first time. Umm yeah I was. Don't know where your eyes were or where you went but it wasn't here. terrible customer service and horrible drivers. mind you this was like at 2am so he basically woke up the neighbours as well. so rot in hell.

First try of a Papa Johns pizza and very impressed with it. Staff seemed great and super enthusiastic and eager to please. Pizza was excellent. Large for £9.99 same as Dominos Pizza. Went for half and half ‘The Works’ and ‘All the Meats’.

Ordered deal for one pizza and wings, waited for food more than an hour even though place is withing 1 mile radius away from me. Food of course arrived cold as expected, I dont mind the wait but please at least make sure that food arrives warm till some degree.
