Papa Johns in Glasgow City

Quite often order from here and usually have no issues. Staff seem a little unbothered when you come in sometimes.

Consistently the worst delivery experience I have. Time to give up no matter how much I love Papa Johns pizzas.

Almost word for word same complaint as another customer - takes over an hour to arrive when I live in Shawlands, food stone cold, driver and store staff sullen and rude, toppings missing from pizza. Happened three times, complained on the last and was refused a refund.

Been a loyal customer of Papa John's for a decade now. This is the worst one I've ever experienced in the whole country. The worst one around Glasgow, not very friendly or helpful.

Slowest papa johns I've ever ordered from! Took a whole hour for delivery 🤣

Ordered last month and food was stone cold and took an hour to arrive when I live 10 minutes from the store and they also got my order wrong. When I phoned them they said they where sorry that the only had one driver. I tried it again this month and again food took an hour to arrive and was 22 degrees with my food probe. When I called again to complain they said they only had one driver and offered me a 15 percent discount on my next order. I will not order from here again and would advise others to avoid this pizza place as clearly no one wants to work there if they can’t hire extra drivers in a month.

1.5hrs to arrive. Cold and awful when it did. Avoid.

Had a small issue with a previous delivery, went through the appropriate channels to get this issue remedied and the resolution to my issue was above and beyond. I don't like to complain after a small mistake as I understand staffing issues happen and sometimes mistakes happen. I was contacted by management, given store credit and was more than pleased with this. Order again this evening, as it's a Friday, and was greeted upon collecting my order with a free bottle of Pepsi on top of my store credit. I'd never say you lost a customer because mistakes happen but you truly showed how incredibly committed to fantastic customer service you are. Absolutely thrilled and truly thankful to everyone in your store for how this was dealt with and I will definitely order again.

Ordered vegan food, got fed cheese. They claimed they have special cheese watching cameras and confirmed it's vegan cheese. But won't allow me to view this footage. Gaslit me, taking it a lab for testing and sueing them next. Ridiculous.

Restaurant was closed even though JustEat said it was an option so I never got my food and they likely never received my order. No idea what JustEat would advertise it if it was past its closing time

Despite ordering in advance when I got there, I was told my order was not ready despite it sitting in the rack waiting for me. They made me wait 15.mins then gave me cold pizza. Service is really bad here which is a shame.

The food was 45 minutes late and then when it arrived, it was cold. Very poor service.

I got charged more than £20 for no food. I tried to contact Papa John's and got nowhere. I won't order anything from them again.

Semi finals and ordered after 11pm and not local to me. Amazing service arrived early food hot and tasty. Not many places could pull this off. Well done!

Ordered cauliflower starter didn’t send hot buffalo sauce ordered margarita and chicken club pizza both cold all three of these awful. Cauliflower soggy and undercooked only thing that was passable was cheesy garlic bread will not use again Don’t think I’ve ever had such a bad takeaway

Never had any problems here. Pizza dough. The Sauce. Ingredients and choice of toppings are far more SUPERIOR than anywhere else. The only thing that bugs me is the price of everything

Bottom base was hard & couldn't be eaten. I know from previous orders the base isn't hard like this. I order my dinner every evening from other outlets as I won't be ordering from here again

Asked for no olives. Restaurant said they never received my note asking for no olives. So this review is equally on just eat as it is on papa johns. Restaurant didnt offer anything for the pizza with wrong toppings

The difference between the photo of the pizza I ordered and the one that was delivered was a joke. An American Hot pizza with virtually no pepperoni and 2 tiny bits of onion that I had ordered as an extra topping. Have put a note on Twitter and am awaiting a reply but doubt I’ll get one. Not impressed.

This was a bad night for papa johns. Huge delays in deliveries, I ended up going to collect. Staff were very nice just swamped. Pizza's were ok

Food ordered and after 40 minutes AFTER the estimated delivery time restaurant marked it delivered and now Just Eat are saying it's 7 days to process a refund request. That's a week out of pocket without the cash. Tried phoning the restaurant 5 times and was cut off every time.

Ordered online, took 45 minutes to arrive and it was wrong. I called the branch to let them know that they had made a mistake. The branch said that they would send a replacement out. Another 45 minutes passed with no sign of the replacement pizza. I called to enquire and was told it still had not left the shop. The person i spoke to was very uninterested and explained that ‘the shop was busy’. I felt that our replacement pizza should have been prioritised, but I was again told they were busy. The store had access to my phone number, but chose not to call me to advise of the delay. There was no apology for the inconvenience or offer of compensation. I won’t be ordering from this branch again. Every time I have ordered in the past, I have had to call and enquire about delivery times/mistakes. Would not recommend!

I have been waiting for a cheese pizza for almost 2 hours only to be hung up on abruptly twice when calling on the phone. Still no sign of the food

Delivery driver was lost and had no idea where to go, even when I asked to use google maps. Then turned up over an hour late and didn’t fulfil my whole order. Only delivered pizza and no additional sauces

Don’t bother ordering from here, they don’t read the notes and there was missing items from my order. Tastes like they’ve used butter instead of garlic for the garlic cheese sticks, gross. Can’t eat sausage yet there was sausage when asked specifically not to have sausage on it so that’s great… Try a different papa johns, these guys just don’t listen. Driver was nice though.

I have never used justeat app or papa John’s very disappointed I called restaurant twice to check where order was and when they did come it was someone else’s order! They eventually delivered over 2hours after placing the order and food was cold! For what I spent it is the most disappointing service I have had with just a ‘sorry we are busy’ no compensation offered.

Ordered my food at 7.45. Arrived at 9.20. Phoned restaurant several times. Constantly fobbed off that it's only 10 minutes away. Never be ordering from here again. Would heavily advise anybody ordering from this place

When I phoned after it was due, I was told it was just being put in the oven. so took over 90 mins to be cooked and delivered. I would have been better walking the 15mins to the shop and getting it myself. Was disappointing as I haven't used them in a while.

Great pizza express. Make your own pizza is best and ingredients are really nice. Will enjoy it fully.

Shawlands papa John’s have never been very reliable but I thought ordering almost an hour before they shut I’d be ok, but no. They waited 30 mins after confirming my order before saying they were “too busy”… I won’t be ordering from them again.

I have ordered from here a few times and each time they have got my order incorrect. I hate making a fuss but after this happening a few times I called. I spoke to a member of staff who said they would take my name. They said for my future order they would give me free what they didn’t send out in the previous order. Just phoned and the manager spoke to me horribly. Informed me this person wasn’t a manager and this isn’t in their policy. They were very rude and spoke to be horribly. Perhaps they should better inform their members of staff of their policies. I won’t be ordering from here again. There is no need to speak down to people and you such be more considerate of others and their mental health.

Food was late almost took 2 hours to arrive and when it came the 2 separate dips I paid for were not with my order really not worth the £25 I paid for the full order especially after how long it took

Terrible service. I ordered the food at 6.30pm It arrived at 8pm It was cold. Cold hard cheese with cold hard grease on the pepperoni. Not very appealing. It cost us more than £50 for three small pizzas that were late (the kids had to be given something else before bed) and cold.. not the treat we had expected.

Guys, I love you, you have great veggie options and the garlic sauce is second to none. Our deliveries always come quickly, the pizza is hot and tasty. But can I ask, what in the name of Mario is going on with the cheesy marmite scrolls? The first few times we had them they were nice fat things, all plump and crispy on the outside, soft and gooey inside. Now when we order them we're hard pressed to even find them in the box, they're so wee! Still super tasty but why so tiny?? Did you use a shrink ray on them? Please replumpify the scrolls!!

45 minutes late , Luke warm box was cold , sides were just about edible ,pizza was tepid at best , just as well it was 60% off still would have been better with a frozen one won’t be using them again

The employers and managers don’t treat customers with respect. They are very horrible, rude and have lied to me too! I will never purchase from them again. I don’t feel like an appreciated customer and will definitely not go back. Neither should you!

The pizzas were really delicious. Unfortunately it arrived later than the estimated time, but reckon its just because its a friday. Probably better to book it earlier in the day for a certain time. Will definitely order again though as great quality of food

Order didn’t arrive, people in papa johns very unhelpful, told us on the phone the order wasn’t placed to contact papa johns although the order was confirmed by the restaurant, when another family member phoned back they told us that it wasn’t sent out due to the fact they had no irn bru for our order, very unprofessional and I am very unhappy WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM PAPA JOHNS AGAIN

I recently ordered from Papa John’s Shawlands in Glasgow. As nothing was delivered for 2 hours. I had phoned customer services enquiring my order confirmation and said they didn’t have it on their systems. I had went into the store and showed proof of my confirmation email. I also have proof of money taken out of my bank account. I was greeted with a very rude manager, Sharon (No surname) The reaction I received was that my order didn’t come through on their computer, and Sharon (No surname) denied my proof of purchase. Would NOT recommend this store to anyone!

To expensive for a pizza, pay over 40£ for one large and one small. Never again

I ordered 3 portions of the cauliflower wings with a hot buffalo sauce. The restaurant forgot to put the hot buffalo sauce in with the order they gave to the driver. I called the restaurant and they said they would send the sauce up ASAP. About an hour later they eventually delivered the sauces to us, by this time the food was freezing and totally wasted we didn’t even use the sauce and the cauliflower wings went to waste. Thought this was poor service as when I phoned they tried to tell me the buffalo hot sauce doesn’t come with the cauliflower wings, this isn’t true as when ordering my food it clearly says cauliflower wings ‘WITH’ a hot buffalo sauce. So the restaurant actually left the sauces out of my order on purpose (their mistake) then failed to get the sauces delivered to us ASAP ie in time for our food to still be reasonably warm.

Ordered a small.pizza at a cost of £17.99. . There is absolutely no issue on the quality of the food and delivery is quick however I really do question the value element of a dinner plate size pizza that is priced so highly . This would.make me visit a competitor.

Bought Pizza a few times this year. Always delicious. Tonight got the cauli wings - delicious! Chicken wings - tasty! Meat feast pizza- cooked beautifully and as tasty as always is! Vegan chilli freak- didnt realise this didnt have a tomato base, but actually the vegan cheese works better without it!! Lovely and spicy and tastes awesome!!

Fast delivery and hot and tasty food.

Delivery estimated 50-60 minutes, was 30minutes early. Food was fantastic however the early delivery was an inconvenience for myself as i was not ready for that kinda of action, i was ball deep with mrs, then door goes and im now having slice of action too soon, mrs was not happy but tbh i was already finished. Thank you

Pizza great! Sides not so good- potato wedges are dry. However, Cinnamon pull apart is the best thing on the menu!

Papa John's pizza... nothing much to say, unless, wonderful pizzas

I keep forgetting, going back and then regretting it and repeating the cycle after many months but no more. The pizza is nice enough, the toppings don't always taste that great but otherwise passable at first. The problem comes with after eating pizza from here. It always makes me ill a few hours later and for days after. Without fail, I'll be left with cramps and terrible abdominal pain alongside feeling very sick. This happens every time without fail and at this point, I think it's fair to say I'm not getting unlucky. Food from other dedicated pizza places and otherwise do not have this effect on me, it is limited to Papa John's only. I've had a couple friends mention not feeling very well after eating from there too. However it is they prepare and cook their food, and/or what they put in it puts this page on my avoid list.
