Pre ordered 6 pizzas. Eventually arrived 15 minutes after tracker said they had been delivered and 40ish minutes after booked time. Pizzas stone cold and crushed. Would never order from ANY PJs again.

Ordered a collection today. First did not receive the sauce which was mentioned. The worst pizza taste. The base tasted stale almost and toppings literally fell off as I picked up.

Very good service and very tasty pizza!! I will definitely recommend this pizza out of everyone in Oxford. Other than that, the staff was just amazing and very good and served with a smile on the face, and even if I was there 30 minutes before they closed they had no problem to make my pizza and give it to me with a smile. Made both pizzas wrong, missing dips, an extra long wait the app said it had been delivered around 30mins before it actually arrived and barely warm may I add. We ordered the BBQ chicken and the chicken mushroom and PESTO. CAN YOU TELL WHAT'S MISSING? This is no good and with the other reviews I've read I don't think I'll ever be ordering from this branch maybe even the whole chain ((edit) soooooo I just noticed look in the bottom corner of the box with the mushrooms on the pizza what a nice thing to find in your food box an f-ing hair)

We ordered a pizza more than an hour ago, but what’s frustrating is that even though we paid online when ordering, the app says that the pizza was delivered half an hour ago but we never received it. I’ve tried calling the shop about 5 times but it rings and no one picks up so I paid for a pizza that never arrived, I’m not happy.

ZERO STARS.Walked in and ordered a large “All the meats”.The Pizza was cold by the time I reached home which is 1 min drive from the shop and meat toppings were not properly cooked.Taste was horrible.2 of us had only the first bites rest to the bin.

I order last week Friday from here and the staff were quite friendly over the phone. When my order was delivered, it took a little longer than expected however the quality of the pizzas allowed me to enjoy the rest of the night and forget but the slight lateness of the order. 👍👍

Absolutely stunningly bad service!!! Ordered Pizza online and waited 1 hour late on a saturday night (understand they were busy). The app then told me my food had arrived but nobody came to my door, 30 mins later i ring the store again to tell them nothing has arrived and was told the food was 7 mins away. Waited another 1.5 hours and it eventually turned up. 2.5 hours for pizza and a fraudulent app.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I ordered from here before and it was fine when I got a delivery. But I walked in there for a collection and the experience was absolutely horrendous. I said hello, the guy at the till ignored me and talked to his colleague. They keep talking. After 2-3 minutes I step to the counter and say, can I order or you going to keep ignore me? The guy said they are dealing with something. Fair enough but what's stopping him to say hello? While I was waiting they were dealing with another complaint apologising to that customer. When they finished dealing with that complaint, they started shouting at each other arguing whos fault was. Funny thing, there's a sign on the door "polite notice, please customers keep the noise to a minimum" while these 4 guys shouting at each other the whole time I waited there. Then I get my pizza, say thank you and leave. I got home and realise these petty people have filled the pizza with chilly peppers. Honestly, if this is the level of customer service they are able to give they should go do something else. Disgusted. I'll get all of my friends to review this place 😂 I can be petty too. And report them.

I ordered 1 hour and 40 mins ago. The app says it was out for delivery an hour ago. The app said it was delivered 40 mins ago. I do not have my pizza though. So for the past 40 mins I have been calling their number but they do not pick up the phone. If they don't pick up the phone how can I know what is going on? Even if the pizza arrives I have spent 40 mins calling them, the point of ordering delivery is so i dont have to spend my evening dealing with food ... The pizza just arrived. What a waste of time. 0 stars. Answer the phone!!

Tried papa johns for the first time and it was an amazing experience

I'm not one to leave a bad review, but this was appalling. We made an order, got a notification that it was delivered which it was not. Called the branch SEVENTEEN TIMES with no response at all! Last time we ordered they brought completely the wrong food which we couldn't eat because it wasn't dairy free so was a complete waste of money. Never again!!

I've ordered and paid for two large pizzas for a kids playdate and received two medium pizzas. When called the store, the staff was very rude saying that I hadn't counted the slices properly. Then offered to swap the pizzas?! Which was absurd as I had already waited for 1h to receive the pizzas and was supposed to wait for another 1h with the wrong pizzas untouched to swap for the large ones. The kids were starving... I suggested the refund of the price difference and the staff went crazy and hang up the phone. I've tried to call again many times, without success. The worst costumers services ever! Avoid this place !

Hours Later called just to tell me they were out of Tomatoes and Cheese. They cancelled my order via UnerEats without a refund stating the reason: PapaJohns had started preparing your order, hence no refund. Extremely Dissatisfied.

Usually have a good pizza from here, unfortunately not tonight. It took an hour @4pm I would think this was not to busy? When pizza arrived it was hot but the box looked like it had been on the hot plate for sometime and the pizza was soggy and not the usual good quality. This made sense as the tracker showed it sitting there for some time..... Phoned them immediately to let them know but was told the tracker was wrong and the pizza had come straight from the oven and they were busy....

Whenever we order two pizzas that are thin crust and regular crust, the pizzas are always mixed up. The one that should be thin crust has thick crust, and the one that should be thick has thin. I order the thin one and I really don't like thick, but I always get thick crust anyway. Always a dsiappointment, but I don't know why I continue to be surprised.

Two bad experiences in a row. Took 1.5 hours from order to delivery. Although on the tracking system for both deliveries it said I had received food after 1 hour. On arrival food was cold and my extra dips I had ordered were missing.Second delivery took 1:45 hrs to the door. Again took 1.45 minutes for delivery. AgainAgain teaching system

Food arrived 1.5 hrs later. Website said arrival 9.30 pm, after phoning the shop at 10.15 pm, they said another 30 min.

Ordered at 16:15, arrived at 5:45! Food was cold and no dips included either. When I called to express my dissatisfaction I was told to contact their customer service department and she couldn’t issue a refund. Shocking customer service from the restaurant itself. Definitely won’t be ordering from them again. If you like your pizza hot and delivered in a reasonable time, get a dominoes.

This restaurant is in component: twice now they have ‘lost’ my order after waiting more than an hour. First time I called and then being told it should be on the way only to call later to be told it’s now cancelled. Staff is also incredibly rude and put the phone down. Stay away.

I called this branch to order and asked about current deals. The person who answered was aware of one or two and she asked me to call back as the store was very busy. I confirmed that I was ready to order and went through the items I wanted. At the end, I mentioned if another offer was active and was told yes and the wrong price was given and she said “prices are always changing, it is whatever that’s on the website “ I agree prices are always changing but there should be no excuse for a store to be unaware of what it is. I asked to cancel the order and she quickly put the phone down without even saying anything. I telephoned and spoke to the Manager and said he has a lot of training to be doing as this is sub standard service. Am happy to report that I’ve taken my business of £55+ today to PizzaHut. In this market; do not give customers a reason to avoid you.

Pizza delivery turned up 45 minutes after the tracker showed it to be delivered and was Luke warm/cold. No response from store when called due to being close to closing time which is understandable but still frustrating.

A very disappointing experience and we will not order again from here, unfortunately. The pizza arrived two hours later and when we tried to contact them, they were impossible to reach! When we finally got through to them, they offered free pizza as a recompense but this didn't materialize either!

Been using Papa Johns in Marston for the last few years, never had a problem really good puzza and service. We ve been waiting three hours and counting tonight. Same experience as everyone else on here, we call them and they either don't pick up or say its round the corner. We ve given up and are cooking pasta. What's happened Papa Johns?!!! You ve lost us!

Delivery to Headington took 90 minutes despite the website saying it had already been delivered after 30 or so, it arrived cold and nobody at Papa John's answered the phone, will never use again.

Papa John's used to have good service until few months ago. The pizzas are still okay but the delivery took over an hour in the last 2 times. After a while the track order page claims that the order was delivered but nothing arrived yet.. when they answered my call they said that the pizza is ready and they are waiting for the driver which meant the pizzas weren't very hot on arrival. Maybe it's better for a pizza place not to deliver if they are going to frustrate their customers

Ordered a takeaway pizza, was waiting over 2 hours, rung the shop multiple times and was spoken to very rudely and staff were very unhelpful. Spoke to the delivery driver who told me he’d delivered my pizza to a blue door which I told him was the wrong house as I don’t have a blue door. The driver continued to argue with me over the phone. Pizza never arrived to me but I have been charged. Shop is refusing to give me a refund. Disgusting that I’ve been charged for something I never received and was spoken to so rudely by the Papa Johns staff.

ordered before an exam, bad idea! although my friends and I had left it TWO HOURS before the exam, just in case. Was lied to three times as they said 'the delivery person has just picked it up' they said that three times with 20 minute intervals, my friend stood in the rain (beginning of storm Eunice) for an hour waiting for the pizzas. Have not been fully refunded yet, looking at the other reviews it wasn't a mishap. The people on the phone did not care and gaslighted my friend telling him that he did not say that the pizzas had just been picked up, on the past two calls. We ended up cancelling the order 10 minutes before our exam because we were so frustrated.

Horrific customer service—they frequently interrupt you or talk over you or give you no explanation for why your food hasn’t arrived. Routine deliveries within a radius of 10 minutes from the store can take well over two hours for inexplicable reasons. Food often arrives you cold or lukewarm. As others have remarked, the tracking feature is useless because they cook the numbers: they always mark the food as “delivered” practically moments after you order in order to cover themselves. Just an absolute trash store.

The delivery driver this evening was quite frankly awful!! The food was delivered cold, I only received half my order and part of someone else’s. I received a 500ml bottle of Pepsi max which the driver had opened and drunk out of!! When I tried to give him the drink back he refused to take it and threw it at the door, proceeding to swear at me. Quite frankly a shocking service received and I sincerely hope that driver has since been sacked!! It also arrived 20 minutes late to what I requested.

I made the mistake of ordering from Papa John's. for a work meeting with colleagues. I ordered something like 12:10pm. The app said it was out for delivery at 12:25pm., and so I told everyone to be ready for pizza soon. At around 12:55 the app said delivered, which was strange as the driver hadn't phoned me. I had to leave the meeting and wander around the buliding to see which receptionist it had gone to. No one knew anything. I phoned the Marston Papa John's, and they were unfriendly and told me that the driver would pick it up in 5 minutes. When I pointed out that their app said "delivered" they said this wasn't their fault because the app didn't work. No apology. I went back to the meeting and told everyone the food would be there soon. It still didn't arrive. at 13:30 I started calling the store, but no one picked up. I tried about 10 times but no one answered. I had to send my colleagues off to find food elsewhere (but this time there were not many options left).Of course this is deeply embarrassing to me -- you invite people for a meeting with food, you keep telling them it will arrive soon, and it doesn't, and you have to send them off hungry.Finally, at 13:55 I got through to Papa John's, and they said -- the Pizza will be there in 5 minutes. Of course given previous interactions I didn't really believe this. Besides, the meeting was over as I had to send people off to find food. I explained this and asked for a refund, but the operator told me I would have to phone the driver. I said no, I wanted a refund, and they kept backpedaling and trying to get out of it. Finally, after some stern words, they said -- OK , you will get a refund, but you won't get your pizza in quite a rude tone. Quite unbelievable -- it's one thing if they can't get you pizza until nearly 2 hours after ordering. It's another if they tell you either indirectly through the app, or directly by the phone, that it is arriving soon, and then it doesn't. So I couldn't try something else. And then there is no apology, but trying to wiggle out.

Terrible service. I ordered pizzas for a business meeting, they never showed up. Worse, their app told me it had been delivered. When I phoned, I was told it was not their fault because the app was bad, and that it would go out in 5 minutes. The food never arrived, I had to let my colleagues leave the meeting hungry. To compound the embarrassment, I had told them that the food was definitely coming because the operator at Papa John's has assured me it would be there soon. So I was unable to make an alternative arrangement due to being led astray twice. Phoned many times, with no one picking up. Finally, nearly two hours after the initial order, I got through, and they again said 5 minutes, this time for the pizza to arrive. When I pointed out that my meeting was not over and that I had had to send people out for food, and wanted a refund, I was told to call the driver. I asked for a refund, and they still kept backpedaling. Very unpleasant and rude, in fact, just odd. Who behaves this way? Something is wrong at that branch for sure.

We waited over 2 hours and we never received our food, even after calling 10 times and being told repeatedly that our food would arrive in 10 minutes. If I could give this -10 stars I would. Bye forever.

I sit here at 1.5 hours and counting following placement of my order on a not particularly busy night. The few times I’ve ordered in the last couple of years this has been the story, which is why I order twice a year max (I need to forget the last experience before ordering again). When I call, there’s always a weak excuse to do with staffing levels or something like that, but they continue to offer a service they can’t provide. Pizza is fine when it comes, but you are just so hacked off by that time you don’t enjoy it. There are other pizza delivery places, so why do this to yourself. My advice is just don’t.

Worst delivery amd they never pick phones

Same experience as many, many others it seems - about two hours delivery time with all sorts of excuses if you phone (and if they bother to pick up). The tracker just lies every time but they claim it is “broken”. Presume it is preprogrammed with optimal times that are a total fiction. This happens every time and finally I am saying never, ever again with this pathetic level of service. If you can’t do it - ever! - don’t flipping offer it and make people pay good money!!!!

Cold pizza waited allmost 1h30min for it!!!!

Ordered twice, each time it took over two hours to be delivered and the order was botched (ordered two different pizzas, received two that were the same). I'm sure senior management doesn't know because in the online tracking app they mark the order as "delivered" right before the one-hour point, and say "it's on the way" if you call, but it's still more than an hour away. I'm sure they're busy and good delivery drivers are hard to find, but they should be more upfront about the challenges and the realistic delivery time of your order. 1 star for integrity!
