Papa John’s in Peterborough

I made an order an hour ago for collection, we came to collect the 2 pizzas. I’m very sick, i wanted to order delivery but they don’t provide delivery for the area where we live, so had to come and collect it. Now we came, and they said ‘they gave our pizzas to someone else by mistake, because they had a similar name. They are sorry.’ I asked how can this happen? They said ‘they had a similar name’. I asked ‘don’t you ask for their order number when collecting the pizza?’ Their reply was ‘no, we don’t, it’s his mistake.’ Then they asked me for the order number I clearly said I ordered an hour ago so they have time to make it as I don’t feel well, I don’t want to wait for it in the car. Then now, they told me they will make it just now. I’m very disappointed about this service!

I phone them 20 mins before they closing and they said they can't do they already clean everything ... they sould say their closing time right .

Had delivery very poor service. The food was cold when I got it. Just kept getting excuses why the delivery driver was late, etc. Wouldn't recommend this place, nor will I be using them again.

We have been ordering from this store for years, and have a ton of points. They regularly get orders wrong and take no accountability, they give you codes to reorder for free then say the code has been used. They are fraudulent and criminals in this shop. DO NOT ORDER HERE!!!!

I used the app to order pizza at a specific time to coincide with guests arriving. They delivered my food more than 30 mins early. I realised that all of the food would be cold by the time my guests arrived, so I telephoned the shop to explain the problem. They told me that when they see the order on their screen, they just make them immediately. So EITHER the app does not correctly give the shop the scheduled time of the order, OR the staff in the shop are ignoring the time instructions. Either way, this was not resolved, so my guests are having cold pizza this evening. Embarrassing.

Ordered 2 pizza al the meats and a chicken n bacon. Both pizza had very litlle toppings . They have slowly be getting worse . This will be my last time using them unfortunately.

Only Papa Johns I would recommend in Peterborough as the Lincoln Road one is terrible. Always good food and they even upgraded my pizza size today.

Took 2hours to deliver 2pizzas when ordered 3 quality,seals broken on them all they delivered then told my other pizza was back in the shop rang up spoke to a very rude person told me to take it up with customer services and hung up

Ordered for delivery at 19:50, turned up at 18:45. These guys need to get their clocks set…

We was SO disappointed when after 30 min travel just to get our favourite BBQ chicken pizza but they do not accept cash ( WHICH IS ILLEGAL WAY ) but unfortunately I had only cash with me so my child left in tears bcz she waited all week to get her favourite pizza. Shame !!!

When phoning these guys for an update on my online order, the guy gave me that many different times i had no confidence in them. I decided to cancel and order from another well known pizza chain who were much quicker and know what they are doing. I have emailed customer services as advised by the Papa Johns staff and still nobody has been in touch about my refund 2 weeks later. Not sure if i’m going to get my £140 back, I would definitely steer clear of Papa Johns!

Ordered VEGETARIAN side to go with my VEGETARIAN pizza, they didn't have the side and offered me chicken wings instead! Tried to cancel order and the guy hung up on me and sent the order anyway! Will not be ordering from here again!

Ordered Two Pizzas, two sides and a large drink, had to wait about an hour for it as they said they only had one driver, when it arrived, the driver only had one pizza instead of two, the driver then said he would bring another pizza, I then received a call saying that they could deliver the pizza the next day, I then asked if they could refund the pizza to which they explained I would have to go through customer services and email them for one, appalling service, will not be using again, avoid!

Very poor at delivery. Despite giving multiple addresses, links, pin drops, directions over the phone, they can't handle a simple address. Getting a refund for not receiving your pizza is also very difficult. I won't be ordering from them again. Very poor comprehension of the English language from their staff, with nobody fluent to speak to at the branch. AVOID!

This as to be one of the worst pizza I ever had!!!! so dry and when the pizza got to me it was all cold didn’t have any taste it was just terrible.

The pizzas were super quick and fresh but the flavours were bland.

Dishonest location. They sent us the wrong pizzas and when we called up they said they would drop off the replacement. It's been nearly four hours and no pizza, will be contacting corporate and following up with sharing my experience across multiple social media platforms.

Still waiting money on inferior Pizza? Shame on you. Papa John's is by far the tastiest takeaway pizza out there.

Absolutely appalling customer service, keep adding 20mins to times, lie to you on the phone. And then when you phone back they start ignoring your call. Don't even apologise, don't offer anything in the way of an apology. Just awful. Update: after Papa John's reached out I emailed them details, it has now been almost a month and then haven't responded. Not great customer service at all.

I’ve ordered from here reasonably regularly over the past 12 months and on most of those occasions something has been wrong with the order. Tonight the drink with the meal deal didn’t turn up, when I rang to ask what had happened they offered to deliver one to me, did it turn up… nah. Previous occasions I’ve had anaemic potato tots, the wrong pizza delivered, the wrong sauces, and regularly delivered late when the ‘tracking’ app says apparently it’s been delivered. It’s actually quite impressive to be so good at doing so many things badly. If that energy could be harnessed into bringing you what you ordered when you ordered it for, they’d be an impressive takeaway! Still, thankfully we have a domino’s in Whittlesey now…

The collection deal of £7,99 for any large pizza is great however the quantity of the toppings have decrease significantly. I literally just bite into dough. Come on PPJ, if you want ppl to patron your store, be generous.

Yes it was NYE so expected to be busy but the "track your order" immediately we'd be eating in about an hour not 2 hrs. The food eventually arrived absolutely stone cold I did ask the driver to take it back and all I got was a grunt. We have just had a dominoes open locally maybe we will go there in the future. Won't be going back to papa johns again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Food was disgusting, full of grease. Took a bite and it all dripped out. Put me off but tried to eat it. Made me feel sick after 2 slices and today I've been in bed ill all day because of it. Won't be ordering again.

Ordered 2 pizzas yesterday and were so badly cooked one was really over cooked in middle were both like eating cardboard and have had belly ache after eating them and all night spent £30 on both and we only ate one slice each

Incorrect order sent, promised a voucher for the next order at my local store by the manager If they didn't have to redelivery (keep the incorrect order) A month later and a dozen emails still nothing Tip: if they deliver your order and it's not right don't listen to there promises there worthless.

Really lovely hot and fresh pizza

It was great the first time we had Papa Johns. Had a double pepperoni and a weirwolf pizza which was really delicious.would definitely recommend.

Was not very impressed with Papa John's. Pizza although big was pretty bland and was seriously lacking meat toppings, on an all the meats pizza. XXL pizza priced at over £20 and potato tots. They're not tatatots they're small hash brown type of potatoes with a little cheese and around £7. Totally not worth it. I can't be too exact with prices as even after asking twice for a receipt I still didn't get one. I think pretty much any pizza takeaway shop, kebab shop etc could and would do a better job

I ordered pizza with the deal “feed the fam” for 24.99 and extra 6 garlic bread and been charged 30.15 £ so I paid over 5£ for 6 garlic dips 🤦🏼‍♀️ then we called again about this and the manager told us that we will get the over charge off from the bill. That’s totally fine for me but we called today the same manager told us that we were wrong that time and that they won’t do anything about this. Really upset with this store as it’s close to my house!!!

We order the takeaway and always enjoy the food but tonight it was the delivery that was terrible the guy who delivered said he wasn’t delivering because we have a dog. She was in the house no way of getting to him and he still refused! If he had asked if we could put the dog away politely instead of shouting at us because he’s scared of them poor service rude and arrogant!! If you are going to be a delivery guy do what your paid for or get another job. Because he was shouting it upset my dog who is gentle as anything so thanks I now have had to calm her before I ate oh and don’t ever come to my door shouting be polite gets you further she lives here you don’t!!!!

Every time I ring up for a delivery the prices are different for exactly the same thing it’s a joke and the staff don’t even know what the prices are make it up as they go along

We haven't ordered takeaway pizza in an age, we cook our own using fresh pizza dough bought from a local Italian Deli - so that's our credibility validated and establised on that then. The brother in law was over for an evenings socialising and he is pizza mad, he's a Stanground fella and he suggested Papa John's new franchise offering on the Whittlesey Road. Ordered online on their easy to use site, took advantage of a 50% off offer (but lets be honest, most pizza places have to offer 50% off as their pizza prices are 100% more than they should be at £20 for a large pizza!). We ordered 2 XXl's and went for the HALVES selection where you get different halves on each pizza. They were delivered fairly quickly for a Saturday evening, the delivery guy on his scooter was very polite, even had time for a quick motorcycle chat with my fella. Good pizza with tasty ingredients, the only bland aspect was the chicken one, it could have done with a little something (more seasoning) more. Two complaints, one being utterly menial, no quality seals on the pizza boxes. I didn't know we should have had any until I saw it printed on the box. The second complaint a major one being that, the pizza wasn't cooked by a man wearing heavy eyeliner as per the T.V. advert........Papa John's (you have to say it in the same voice as the voice over guy). Is that really Papa John (don't forget, you have to say it in the same voice as the voice over guy) in the advert or, just an actor, is Papa John even a real person? This I ponder today and maybe forever.

Very clean and tidy place with good service

First proper vegan pizza I have had ever and it's was bloody amazing....the Marmite Sheese Rolls are my all time new favourite food. Ordered online for pickup and was ready as soon as we arrived , piping hot and exactly as ordered...only issue is pretty poor parking arrangements as shared with a Tesco express....please bring a papa John's to Wisbech or March!!! Save us from the vegan adverse dominos!!!

Really annoyed today, ordered pizzas with dip and the dip wasn't there. Called up and they said they would send the dip straight away.. It's 3 hours later now and the dip is yet to be seen! So they've taken the money but not provided the goods.

We come here exclusively for the vegan pizzas and honestly, they are always spot on! Lots of choice, always delivered / collected piping hot and fresh, and always delicious. One of the few vegan cheese pizzas we've had that doesn't taste sweet or strange.

Ordered 10x pizzas at 10:00 and they were ready on time at 11:30! Great taste and service.

Great tasting pizza, I prefer to collect it: phone thru, order personalised, order waiting for me in 15 mins, contactless payment - good slick service. And Whittlesey Rd location means I get it home still warm.

The first 2 times I ordered from here after it had opened was some of the best pizza I have had now everytime its cold, damp and greasy. 😕

I absolutely LOVE 💖 Papa Johns pizza. I’ve had these in Arizona and they use light pizza dough, they are full of flavour and have loads of generous toppings. The only thing I miss are the little sachets of Parmesan that they give you in the States with your pizza. I had the meat pizza which when received was piping hot and was even hot when I arrived home, I finished it off in 5 mins (but I did share) I couldn’t believe it when I saw they had opened a branch in south Peterborough. I usually make my own and Papa Johns are the only takeaway pizza I’ll have. Would recommend to anyone!

So Papa Johns seems like a good place to get a good pizza for a nice night in though unfortunately that isn't what i received. I ordered my pizza an hour and a half to spare and still it somehow managed to arrive 25 minutes late, someone please explain that to me! When the driver finally arrived he was really rude and didn't have the required change, so he short changed me and gave me several 1 and 2 pences. Now I'm not too bothered about the change but the guy was just rude about it and practically blamed it on me so. When i finally sat down to eat my food it was barely even warm. They were also incapable of reading my order properly because they got one of my drinks wrong. It's a shame really because the food was nice but it just wasn't hot, bit of a let down honestly. I thought I'd try something different but I don't think i will next time, Dominoes it is.
