Frankie and Benny's in Peterborough

Great dinner out for Mother’s Day! We ordered full rack of ribs (really yummy), Margherita pizza - cooked to perfection and I had beef lasagne with a side salad and fries. The beef lasagna was amazing and a really big portion! Really good desserts too - a cheesecake, the chocolate fudge brownies and I had my favourite apple crumble and custard. We were stuffed! This Frankie & Benny’s is always great, has very attentive staff who want you to have great service and really yummy food! We do think we preferred the large menu choices before ' known but understand why the menus have been reduced. Prices have gone up too but no different to everywhere I guess. Compared to Wildwood, where we went tonight, F&B’s is 100% way nicer! Really good vegan menu too!

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant unless you have vouchers/ money off coupons. The prices did not match what came out on the plates. I ordered a “new York GIANT” pizza. With it being more expensive than all the others I was definitely thinking it was a giant pizza but as a matter of fact it was the same size as all the other pizzas on the menu. Don’t be fooled like I was. I ordered garlic bread for my daughter that was served with a burnt bottom. I ordered her a waffle for her dessert which was served to her cold like it was a pre-pack job. I wouldn’t rush back if I’m honest.

Nice food. Place was really clean. Staff were great and helpful. Was nice and quiet when we went in too which was a bonus. Not eaten in here before and will definitely think about going again if in area.

Okay, so visited yesterday evening with my daughter and one of her friends. The front of house staff were amazing and I couldn’t fault them. Starters were nice, the girls had pizza each for main which they loved. I went for the spicy meatballs. Hmmmmm spice? No kick and no spice. The tagliatelle and sauce was good but it’s clear that the meatballs are frozen, defrosted and added. Four small and cold meat balls. Kind of ruined my meal. The girls loved the deserts. So, I’d recommend sticking to pizza but then with so many pizza options, why eat there?

Today myself and 7 others visited F&B after many years of avoiding them because of negative experiences previously. The service and food were spot on this afternoon and Jess is every customers dream. She is attentive and very professional indeed. We are definitely booking again as long as she is working. Double thumbs up!

I was in a restaurant with my friends. Burger chicken burnt, in another spaghetti pasta mixed with another where only one type was ordered. it looked like the two had been mixed together additionally in the third course the corn looked like someone had already eaten it. the corn was replaced after attention lok on The picture. One dish was supposed to be with potatoes, the lady served fries instead of potatoes, which turned out to be added to our bill. tragedy never again

What an amazing group of people who couldn't do enough for us, despite the difficulties we were experiencing with our son's. Food was great. This was a really positive experience for us. I can't praise the staff highly enough. We will definitely come back.

We took a school party of 60 children and 7 staff for an evening meal at Peterborough Frankie and Benny's (Fengate) and we were blown away by the experience. Taking that many children aged 10-11 to a restaurant is never easy but we can honestly say that the 2 hours that we spent there were fantastic. The food was great, it was delivered quickly, served efficiently and was absolutely delicious. The staff worked so hard to make sure that every single child had the best experience that they could and the adults were really impressed too! Every single member of staff worked so hard, 'Ben' worked exceptionally hard to interact with the children and chat to them. The free Pokémon cards that the kids were given were an extra bonus! 10/10 service!! Thank you

I know F&Bs can be hit and miss, but today a colleague and I stopped by for lunch, and it was fab. We ordered the Vegan Dog for me (proper tasty and a massive portion!) and the Classic Cheese (colleague was very impressed!) both with fries, and a couple of beers each. The bill came to £40 inc tip, and we were ably looked after by Joanna who was friendly, efficient and professional.

Amazing food was very delicious! Just long waiting times and extra loud music. Other then that perfect. Would recommend to people with families do great things for children

Quick visit here this evening after having not been for years. Now I know why! It was quiet, I’d booked a table. Ordered pizza for my son which he said was ok, my margarita with mushrooms was revolting when it arrived…water in the middle. Under cooked. Sent it back must to the old waitresses disgust. It waste cooked and barely batter. So much thick tomato purée as the base. Revolting. Cheap and nasty. I’d definitely not return or recommend. Staff had little moral or to smile about. Shocking.

Myself and friend went for breakfast. The service from the staff was good and they were quick to take order when we were ready. The food Portions were good and overall the food was good. The bacon was not the best but the rest of the food was good.

Came to Hampton Peterborough branch for mum's 50th. Customer service was brilliant and really good vegetarian/vegan options. Johanna and all the other staff members that evening made my mum feel special. Thanks so much!

Myself, my daughter, my friend and her 2 children went for a meal last night. We walked in and half of the restaurant was shut off as they had work men in there. It was very noisy and at one point there was a work man stood on the table next to ours spraying something into the ceiling, while we were eating. No one had mentioned anything about work men being there. The ladies toilets were out of order which is fine so had to use the disabled toilets. Disgusting. Filthy and the smell was absolutely vile. A couple came in the restaurant towards the end of our meal carrying a bottle of vodka and a blue tooth speaker. They were really noisy. They were getting up and walking around. Playing music. Swigging out of this bottle of vodka and nothing was said to them. To top it all off, when we asked for the bill I asked if it could be split between me and my friend. The waitress was clearly not happy about this as she had to get a manager to help her and I could see her talking badly about us. The manager noticed that I had seen and offered an apologetic smile. Literally would never go there again. For the price of the food, it was a horrible experience especially being there with children.

We went to Hampton, Peterborough for a birthday meal. The food was excellent and we had a superb waiter. I ordered a mocktail that was no longer on the menu but our waiter Mo went and sorted it for me anyway despite it not being on the menu. The food was really good arriving in good time. Our waiter entertained the kids making sure we all had a good experience. Would absolutely book again at this restaurant.

We once came to this f&b with a family of 6 adults. They apparently didn't have our booking so sat us all on one tiny table for four. On getting a terrible experience from here, with wrong food, mains before starters and hair in the food, then being accused of planting the hair ourselves as they checked the hair to everyone in their kitchen (who were all short hairs men with hats), we decided never to return to this place again as it was terrible. The food was cooked lovely but the service and rudeness was terrible. The manager did sort us out and give discounts so we can't complain with that. Now, this was about a year ago. So today we went to Pizza Hut, which unfortunately was really busy, so could only go to this F&B, as we were in a kind of rush for our cinema movie across the road. It was busy so we did have to wait. We waited around 20 minutes which was what we were told. We asked someone who was dressed differently so probably was in a managerial role if we could have some menus to look at while we wait, which he said he would get for us, which he never did so we asked someone else at the desk. We got taken to our table with a large group of other people like a herd of sheep. Someone came straight to take our order, her name being Izzy. After waiting for a reasonable time, our mains came out, but we had actually ordered a starter. We told the man about it and he said he would go and sort it. We were left not having a clue what was going on or how long it was going to take. So we asked Izzy. And said to us that apparently someone else had ordered the same main and it went to the wrong table and our starters are still on their way. Personally, I THINK this was a lie as it took a stupid amount of time to get our starter. When we finally got our starter which was obviously had to be cooked as they didn't do it, it was lovely and was taken from our table in good time, and we also got our main in a good time too. As she put the mains down, there was no chips as a side that we had ordered so my partner went to ask where they are just incase they had forgotten. She rudely stopped him talking and said "yes your chips are on the way. I haven't forgot" which was extremely rude. Unfortunately, the first mouthful AGAIN, had a hair in it. I took a photo of the hair as proof. Dark blonde and curly, nothing like my hair. I then had to eat my food, watching every monthful I took. I didn't find any more. The fact this is the second time is beyond me. After finishing our food, my partner went to the toilet, and Izzy came to take the plates. She reached over me to get the dessert menu from its holder and dropped of rudely onto the table in front of me and said "look at the menu and I", I stopped her mid sentence to explain I actually did not want a dessert. So she just said ok and took the plates, not even putting the menu back. I can understand once, but twice is a joke. If you fancy F&B from here, go down the road to Hampton. Never have any problems.

We have used Frankie and Benny's many times and it has been one of our favourite places for a meal out. F & B announced a new menu and sent us a 25% off voucher to try it so we booked for a Monday evening and off we went. Most things seemed the same: the atmosphere was good as ever and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We were given the new menus. Could be our imagination but we felt this new menu was rather more limited than previously and we were not really wowed. Although it was early and the place seemed about half full we were disappointed with the speed of service. We waited just about an acceptable length of time to order and drinks turned up in a reasonable length of time. Starters were fine (potato skins and chicken wings), tasty and hot. There was then quite a wait for our main courses. ( Boston 7 pizza and Saltimbocca Chicken). These were a bit disappointing I think mainly because they were not very hot. Didn't finish them. No dessert and the bill was just over £50 including drinks. Less the 25% offer and we paid £41.37 plus tip.In summary: OK but we won't be rushing back.

Went for a nice lunch but ended up with mouldy sauce didn't get what we asked for but what we did get was burnt and was dripping in oil we will not be returning

Popped in for a quick meal a couple of times now before going to see a film and we have been pleased with our meals. Staff are really great, service is quick, food is tasty. We had burgers, pasta, garlic bread, and it was great. they need to stock up on peroni though - to run out on 2 occasions (and we only had a bottle each! ) was disappointing.

Went out to lunch on Monday 17 August. Food was great as per usual but service a bit slow considering not many people in, but hey it was a great meal

My husband and I popped in here for dinner ahead of a trip to the cinema. Whilst the service was good, the quality of the food, particularly for the money, was poor. We both ordered starters (calamari and courgette fritters) which arrived promptly. However, the tomato sauce with the calamari tasted liked plain tinned tomatoes. There was no depth of flavour to the sauce at all. The fritters which I ordered were very greasy and tastes exactly the same as oily onion rings. We then ordered our mains which were a black and blue burger and New York chicken. The burger arrived on a wooden chopping board with the chips in a brown paper bag, like sweets used to come in. The bread for the burger was rock hard (the bun snapped in two when my husband went to cut it in half) and neither of us understood the brown paper bag. All that it did was to make the chips looks greasy as the oil clung to the bag. My New York chicken was very disappointing. The 'crispy bacon' on top of the chicken was the flaccid, floppy bacon that you see in McDonald's rather than the fresh, crispy bacon I was expecting. The chips were good but the coleslaw was hanging out of the dish it was served in, the corn on the cob was overdone (it looked like it had been reheated and was brown) and only two onion rings were served! Hardly worth the £15 price tag. We had a starter each, a main each and two drinks and it was £60, so £30 a head. We both left feeling that we would have had a better meal round the corner at McDonalds, for £5 each. Definitely won't be going back and next time, will head into town for a proper meal first.

Myself, 2 friends and their baby went for Sunday dinner and it was nice a good standard of food service was good. Meat balls were a very nice starter BUT the "double" Cajun chicken was barely a single not very spicy at all . If something is described as double Cajun that chicken should have came out nearly black with spice. Saying this the chicken was juicy and cooked very well.
