Panys in Trafford

I have used this chippy in the past years ago as my Gran has always lived in the area,however I had been in a couple of times during February 2025. For fish and chips. Portion size for regular chips is quite on the small side for what you're paying for, plus chips were over done and cold.The fish had been over done on both occasions. Today in particular fish seemed like it had been recooked, the batter was over crispy and cod tasted rubbery. I am disappointed as was buying for my Gran for a Friday treat and she didn't enjoy the fish. I like to give local businesses the benefit of the doubt,and dont like to leave negative reviews,but because I've tried twice in same month I will be reluctant to return.

Just opened my take away order I've paid 6. 50 for. I didn't know it was given to you in installments, I cannot believe the amount of chips I've been served for what they charge. Absolute joke, never again.

Nobody in the shop, ordered my meal and waited, then I realised my order was at the back of the queue of phone orders ! I’d paid upfront, so didn’t walk out. Top tip, only pay when your order is completed, so if you get treated like an idiot you can walk out. Panys get your act together staff can work on orders but you need to think about the walk in customers. I will not go back - .

Heard great things about Panys so gave their fish and chips a go. We picked up fresh and the fish batter was totally stuck to the paper when we got home, so pretty much stripped the fish bare. The batter was so thick and the chips not cooked all the way through. What a shame, we'll stick to our usual going forward!

I had food delivered on Sarturdsy via JustEat, first time I’d I used Panys, I normally use a Emilios. I’d heard panys was good so thought I try. It was very disappointing. The fish was really small and thin abs the chips were soggy. The kebab was better. Will not be rushing back, will stick to Emilios, much better.

This chippy is truly the best chippy around. The chips are always so fresh and tasty and there is an extensive menu to choose from. The staff are polite and helpful and, since re-opening after the lockdown, they are wearing PPE equipment as well as there being new screens up for safety. As well as usual chip shop food, they also do an amazing range of kebabs which I've yet to try but heard that they are fabulous too! Thanks Pany's! So glad you're open again after lockdown!

After many visits no change,too busy taking telephone orders to consider waiting customers,staff bickering and can be snappy with customers ,the food is good but not worth the ordeal at busy times

great place for your supper all freshly cooked so the only problem is if they are busy there is a wait but worth it

Ordered through Just Eat, after a friend recommended, large mixed Pannys Kebab, amazing homemade onion rings, fish ( I asked for this well done as previous experience with other fish shops undercook) mistake as I should have left this as was. Nice though. Chips and peas. Never ordered before, will deffo order again. Great delivery. Food red hot when arrived. Maybe my new best friends

Chippy supper for me & my son. 1st person (very polite & attentive) took my order: Fish & chips Fish & scallop Served by a second chap who wrapped up fish chips ✅ and the chips & scallop😡 (pictured below). Evening tea ruined and very angry. Will I be returning any time soon....not a chance!!

Only went as we were also getting a curry from across the road, I have used another chippy near the Little Bee for a very long time but the taste of the kebab from Panys was a revelation compared to my usual choice, I think I’ve found a new favourite.

Definitely best choppy in sale and surrounding areas we have a treat every week and never fails to be so tasty

We take the kids and sit in the seated area at the back. We have the usual Fish and Chips and the children have smaller portions. They love it. The people who run the place seem to genuinely like kids and really look after you. The foods ok. The loos are clean. And It brings back memories of when I was a kid eating in the same kind of place.

Used to be and at times can still be the best kebab in sale, but the fish and chips avoid like the plague...can shops not do goood kebabs and quality fish and chips..it would seem not...as long as you don't get the first crusty kebab ,sat from the nite before,they really are the biz

All i have to say about this place is FAB KEBABS !!!! Doner Kebab with chilli sauce and onion on nan YUMYUM !!!

Cooked to perfection,a taste sensation, friendly staff only to glad to help. Will be my new local kebab shop . Well done lads keep it up

I've been here a few times when I fancy some fast food and it is consistently good. Not great as I don't think take-aways can be but good stuff. The kebabs are lovely! They do good fish and chips too.

Used to like this chippy until last visit. We were only ones in queue. My lad had a cold and we could smell cigarette smoke coming from the cafe area at the back of shop. I complained and was told that somebody had been smoking, but had left. Smell of smoke still there. I can only presume that someone was smoking outside the back of the premises and the draught was bringing the smoke through the shop. Food has always been good at Panys, but we won't return now as my son says "they lied to us Dad" and despite convenience, we won't be returning any time soon.

Always my chippy of choice! Very friendly staff and good price for tasty food! Always seems busy as well so they must be doing something right!

Called in this evening just for 1 fish, bag of chips and curry sauce and with only 1 person waiting in front of me you would think with 5 staff my order would be ready quite quickly- NO- 45 mins later still waiting the staff were too engrossed on preparing telephone orders needless to say after being totally ignored I chose to tell them politely where to shove their fish

Standard and quality of food has always been good with generous portions. Friendly staff. Parking can be busy but there is a large car park near by.

kebab meat was heated up on a grill and was un-eatable, dry and crispy! The plate was cold so everything went cold quickly. the salad was so abysmally small it wasn't even enough for a mouse! Been there once, never again!
