Called for roast dinner price seemed good as was on special but the food had a strange chemical taste like cleaning fluid. Will not go again.

I have often visited this cafe and all in all for the things that are on offer. There is plenty of space for improvment a little sad from time to time but a great little cafe.

I had 2 coffees and 2 toasted cheese sandwiches which almost came to £15.00!!!! The place was empty and i was told to move to another table as the 1 old person sitting there didnt like dogs. The guy is selling what looks like stuff from his home also at very high prices. Its basically an old peoples cafe that sells old peoples food. Very basic yet very expensive. The man was pleasant but thats about all that was nice.

They have lots on their menu but food was fatty and tasted horrible. Wouldn’t recommend at all. The one thing good was the staff were nice.

If you are in Ilfracombe stay away as far as possible from this place. Without doubt the worst feeding we’ve ever received, possibly nearly poisoned. As a family we never complain but definitely this was awful. 🤢

We visited Pandora Cafe for lunch and enjoyed lovely, fresh, home cooked food! The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly - nice to chat with someone from the Midlands and enjoy some football banter too! Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely cafe!

Great little cafe. Home cooked food and quick service. Everyone (7) was hungry and all the popular ones down the road were busy. So eventually we found this place, and to be honest I did not have high hopes.. If you want crisps with your 7 quid toastie you will be disappointed. If you want hot homemade cottage pie ,roast potatoes and veg for £4.95 then this is the place. Veg was cooked to perfection (al dente) Everyone left happy.

For £6.25 You can have a pot of tea,a proper roast dinner and a dessert, all freshly prepared in a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Lots of menu choice. My return visit did not disappoint and have made this my 'Must go to' eating place when in Ilfracombe. My Support Dog made welcome and given a cut up sausage on a plate!

We go here on a regular basis as the food is reasonably priced and the service quick. Its quirky and different- a combination of a shop and a cafe! What makes the place is Joe the owner who is friendly and helpful and willing to go the extra mile to please. He knows everything and everyone locally so you will be sure to get answers to any question you have about where to go, what to see and where to buy it from

Went in here on the way back to the hotel. The service was very efficient and the man running the place very friendly. It was helped by the fact we were the only customer's at the time. Definatly worth a visit and very reasonably priced.

Great value meals in a small cafe. The decor is basic but functional & we enjoyed our meals which represented great value for money. Ideal for people who want to have fresh meals cooked to order & be within walking distance of the town centre.

We had just arrived in Ilfracombe town and pandoras cafe was the first cafe we came across. We sat down outside with only one problem, there was only two tables which only one of them had an umbrella to block you from the sun, it could do with another. The food was great and has a wide variety of choices which surprised us. The manager was brilliant and even done us a little sing song which had us in fits of laughter. Such a great place that we returned the next morning for a fry up! Worth checking out.

Everytime I come down to Ilfracombe in Devon I always use the Pandora cafe. Each year the owner always remembers me. Great friendly service . Great food at a reasonable price. Today I had a lamb shank dinner and the meat was so tender it just fell off the bone. Delicious. If you want home cooked food then 8 recommend the Pandora cafe in Ilfracombe.

Popped in for a cream tea which was good enough although would have liked a bit more jam but tasty and reasonably priced. The place seems a little dated/old fashioned but I think it gave it character! The owners (?) were very friendly and it had a certain charm about it.

This café has a lot of character and charm although it is like walking into a time warp I loved it. A pot of tea and a tea cake for £2.75 you cannot complain. The place is full of curios to purchase . It was clean and the staff were polite with a bit of Northern banter. Also open in December when many of the cafes in Ilfracombe close for the winter.

Popped in for a couple of toasties which were cheaper than any of the other places we looked at, they were freshly cooked and the side salad was also very fresh. Would definitely use this cafe again.

Popped into this café for a bite to eat before attending a wedding at the tunnels. Very well located for this as it's just around the corner. The food was really good quality and Del kept us amused while we were there. Give it a try.

We popped into this cafe as we thought it looked ok however the food we had (paninis and toasties) were really unpleasant. The bacon was barely cooked, tuna was tasteless, sausages dry and overcooked and the bread hard and tasteless. The crisps were 9 months out of date and when we pointed this out they apologised and then offered us the rest of the stock to take home. Not sure why we would want 20 packs of stale crisps. I'm sorry to say that this was the worst food I've ever eaten.

We came for a 5 day visit to Ilfracome and the Pandora was opposite the hotel we were staying at. We were so pleased we went in on our first day after arriving. The owner and staff were so friendly nothing was too much trouble. We made sure we called in every day of our stay. Not only was the food good but Del entertained us every day. If you are on holiday in Ilfracombe you MUST GO AND VISIT you will not be disappointed. From a group friends Wolverhampton.

We booked here for breakfast before our trip home from a short break. Ignored when we went in, then after asking we were stuck on a table next to the toilet with 2 young children and a dog. Asked about gluten free options and explained this was an intolerance for my daughter not an allergy. Weren’t prepared to help or advise, very uninterested - just continued serving at the till and more or less told us everything could have gluten in. We sat back down and looked at each other and I said to my husband “I’m really not happy here” and he replied “nor am I”. We left and on the way out briefly explained why but were ignored. They didn’t even say bye. Went down the road and discovered Ali @ Adele’s Cafe who were super with us, very accommodating, friendly and great food. Night and day compared to this place.

This is a great place for a coffee or something to eat when waiting for a train or shopping in the area. I meet friends here once a month and have never been disappointed. The full vegetarian breakfast is excellent. Don’t go to Costa, come here instead!

Stayed here for 2 nights to attend a friends wedding in a resort 5 minutes walk up the road. When we arrived it was very busy with people eating in the pub/restaurant and there was no parking. Staff advised they had saved us a space and we moved the cones and got parked. Quickly checked in and shown to our room. The room was spacious and clean. Large bed with 2 single duvets, my only grumble was it was not great sleeping under 2 single duvets on the double bed. We asked staff about getting to the bed behind the hotel and booked a table for dinner bit later, they were really helpful. 20 minute walk up a very steep hill behind the hotel and down a steep cliff path, we were on the most stunning beach, we had a swim! We had the local rump steak and chips for dinner that night and it was delicious. Breakfast both mornings was included and was very nice indeed. Would recommend the food here. We enjoyed our stay here and very good location for attending our friends wedding at Watermouth Cove.

After visiting Captain Jack's in 2023, we were not disappointed on our return visit! The pub decor is great with a good amount of space indoors and outside, the beer is good and the food tasty! Staff are friendly and make tourists feel welcome! A great visit for either lunch or an evening meal!
