Pamukkale Turkish Restaurant in Brighton and Hove

The food is filling and delicious, the staff is kind, the environment is decent. We came for dinner with my family; we will try the lunch one day.

We had a delicious dinner here just before Easters. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and very proud of their culture and heritage. We ordered the two traditional and unique dishes Mahmudiye and Sultana and had an amazing flavour experience. Would definitely recommend these dishes! The price was the lowest of our Brighton dinners, so great value for money. We definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!

My partner and I ran into this place and gave it a try. Turns out it was extremely amazing! The decoration was really beautiful and the food was superb! What made this meal the best was the staff. They were all incredibly friendly—both the servers and the chef were kind and attentive. Right from the beginning, the waiter kindly guided us to a table with a lovely view without us even asking. Before we could say anything, the chef noticed that we were looking for the restroom and immediately asked a server to assist us. During the meal, the staff interacted with us just enough to make us feel welcome, but never interrupted our dining experience. I also noticed how patient the staff were with children—they even took time to interact with them. You could really feel their passion and love for what they do. Before we left, they even treated us to some traditional Turkish tea and snacks, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. If the highest rating is 10 stars, I’d give them 100! It was simply amazing—the food was delicious, the ambiance was wonderful, and most importantly, we truly felt cared for by the staff. This was such an unforgettable experience!

My friends and I visited Pamukkale for brunch. The service was excellent throughout, waiters were attentive and the owner was lovely. The Turkish breakfast was fresh and delicious.

My girlfriend & I found Pamukkale via both TripAdvisor & Google Reviews, so we wanted to try it to see if it was as good as the reviews suggest....and it was! We arrived about 6.15pm & got a friendly welcome & from then on, the service was 10/10 from the server (forgot to get his name). Nothing was too much trouble, although 3 of the first 4 things we wanted to order were out of stock (Tuborg, Baba Ganoush & Courgette Fritters), which was disappointing. We picked other things from the menu & they all exceeded our expectations. The Kisir in particular was outstanding as were the meatballs. We were offered a free glass of turkish tea or coffee at the end, which was a nice touch. We don't have much luck with Turkish restaurants usually, even in Turkey itself, but Pamukkale changed that & we will definitely return to try some more dishes.

We had lovely lunchtime meal to end our time in Brighton. The food was lovely and the service by Ali and Murs was amazing. What a lovely and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend and will visit again when I return to Brighton.

We chose Pamukkale restaurant among the Turkish restaurants for dinner in Brighton, where we came as a family for a day trip from Birmingham.When we entered the place, we were welcomed with the interest of the waiters.We sat at our table and gave our orders.My namesake Cahit Menekşe, the owner of the place, came to our table and showed us special attention.We were extremely pleased with his hospitality.The food was excellent, the service was very good.Likewise, when we left the place, Cahit Menekşe saw us off in a very friendly way.If I had the opportunity, I would give 10 stars.I recommend it to everyone.

The breakfast is great, unbeatable quality/price, Excellent service.

Went for breakfast and I'd highly recommend it. Great value and a worth while replacement for a full English. A delicious mix of cooked dishes and cold extras, including bread and jam. All served with Turkish tea or coffee.

I ate here a few weeks ago and felt I had to leave a review because it’s an experience I will never forget. The atmosphere in this place is perfect! Staff are beyond amazing, very attentive and welcoming. The two guys working gave an exceptional experience. It was my first Turkish breakfast and I can’t wait to have this experience. Again. Also the Baklava was so fresh I would highly recommend to anyone! Definitely going to be back here when I visit Brighton to try more things on the menu. Thank you

I would give 10 stars if i could! Brilliant food and outstanding customer service from all the staff. Felt very welcome the moment we walked in and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious (followed by the best baklava and Turkish coffee in beautiful cups), so much choice and a very good price. Definitely going to be coming back here to try the dinner menu. Best Turkish restaurant in Brighton so far, food was fresh and delicious, Kenan and Anwer were very polite and friendly, to top it all the prices were reasonable. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food, and we’re going to visit again soon God willing.

It was an amazing experience. The interiors are pleasant and the service was excellent. The food was made fresh and was tasting delicious. There are veg and non veg options. Their turkish breakfast is a must have and is paired with turkish tea. For the quantity you get the price was very reasonable.

The food was so undercooked with zero flavours. It is so highly priced for the worst quality.

Best Turkish Restaurant in Brighton.

Excellent food and friendly service. They do not charge for bread, sauces and tea like some other places. The bread was excellent, made fresh every day. Recommend lamb casserole, the best!

Had Saturday lunch at Pamukkale with friends for the first time and was nicely impressed by the service (impeccable) and the food (delicious). Worth checking it out.

Once they found out how much I enjoyed Mediterranean fare as a whole and that option peralysis was giving me trouble deciding on what to get, they simply let me try things. They were oddly curious to see if I liked it. They stood by their food even though I was the only person in there. The Felafel, hummus, the kofte....amazing and I enjoyed my first taste of Turkish coffee. That stuff was potent but delicious. The dentist office jazz that was playing was on a loop which got grating but the owner or manager...or the fella in the suit distracted me with nothing but amazing things to say about his regulars and his community in Brighton as a whole. All in all, this place is a legitimate gem of Brighton and stands out among a dozen Mediterranean joints! Thank yall!

Came here a few months back and first time, wasn’t a great experience, quite over priced compared to other Turkish restaurants, the rice was over cooked and hard, possibly over heated in microwave, when I told the waiter he was adamant it was fresh till he tried it himself and agreed it wasn’t right. Portions are small.

This Turkish breakfast plate is for one person. Everything was delicious and very plentiful. I couldn't finish it by myself. It's enough for two people. And it's only £12. My wife and I will definitely come back again. Thank you for these delicious flavors.

I celebrated my birthday here a couple weeks ago, food was amazing and the service could not have been any better. The manager was a really good host and made the dinner with my friends really special. Got us a round of drinks and some bread with some souces for starters as well as a little cheesecake to sing happy birthday for me. All staff were very attentive and superb Prices are very reasonable for the food quantity and quality. I recommend to go even if there’s no event to celebrate!

Genuinely shocked at how this restaurant has received 4.8 star reviews on google. We went to celebrate my niece’s birthday but was so appalled by the level of service. The lamb shish was almost raw and inedible so we politely asked the waiter to if he could ask the chef to cook it slightly longer. To our surprise, the chef stepped out the kitchen and requested that if we do not like the food, to leave the restaurant. He claimed that it was not raw and that if the boss saw food being returned to the kitchen, that he would get fired. Never have we experienced such poor service. There were no other customers the whole time we were there which reflects on its low standards. Will not be surprised if this place shuts down very soon.

My partner and I had a wonderful meal here after a recommendation from a friend. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly and the food was really good. The ambiance was perfect with warm and welcoming décor and atmospheric music. We rounded the meal off with a Turkish coffee which was served with Turkish delight. We will definitely come back!

We dined there 2 nights ago, the service was outstanding, even the chef came out of the kitchen to talk to us. The food was excellent 10/10. We ordered too much (obviously), so took our uneaten food home and enjoyed it last night. I think this is now our new favourite Turkish restaurant.

After doing the LDN to Brighton cycle I needed to recoup some calories and I wasn't disappointed. Make sure to get the baklava for afters, Highly recommended this restaurant.

Still can't get over how legit this place was! We had our lunch here, and I just had the most flavorful lamb shish ever!! I couldn't believe how soft the lamb was, mind blown!! The side salad was perfect as well, I honestly wanted a refill. 🤤 We were planning not to spend much, but that hummus was calling us, and we did not regret at all! My partner got the kebab, and both of us got lassi, not sweet, very authentic! We left super full and will definitely be coming back. 🩷

Went by the reviews and was hopeful this restaurant was a good choice, unfortunately it now tops my dud list of bad decisions for the year. We went for the set menu for £85 and received meagre portions. There seemed to be more large dips than actual food. What sort of menu composes of more dips than food? The ribs had more fat than meat. Lamb cubes were tiny. The whole main is on a single large plate! If the restaurant was located in central London on a high end fashionable upmarket street, 5* Michelin award then fair enough. But a place with a load of pink plastic flowers from Temu taped on the ceiling on Brighton High street, ridiculously over priced. I’d be surprised if this place runs on repeat customers, more like tourists like us. If you’re reading this review and don’t want to feel like you’ve been scammed avoid this place. I’ll leave on a positive note, the plastic Temu flowers sellotaped on ceiling does look good on photos.

Lunch was great. Very tasty and homemade. The service was excellent. Very friendly hosts who take care of the guests. Would go there again in a heartbeat. At the end, tea was offered, which was great. Just a great restaurant to go out to eat.

We came in for lunch and were surprisingly the only guests. The service was super friendly and attentive, helped us choose something and also gave us tips on the dishes. The food was delicious, there were also small starters for free, as well as plenty of Turkish tea at the end. The falafel are homemade and are recommended! The service impressed us most and we would come back at any time. Thank you for the little tea gift! ❤️

Food is okay. Tasty, but okay tasty, nothing too amazing. It's like very traditional Turkish cuisine. They have lunch deal, £18.95 for two courses. I had a lentil soup, it was very liquid rather than thick, so was surprised little bit. However, the service was perfect! 11 out of 10! Very friendly and attentive.

Honestly you cannot fault this place for Turkish food, this me & our partners second visit in 5 months arriving to Brighton from London late on a Sunday eve, they were more than happy to seat us at 9.30pm, Food & drinks are all fresh, we love the Sigara boregi for a hot starter, & mixed shish for the main, it’s all lush. 😋 Staff are top tier in here, very competent & friendly. Service is exceptional too. 5* highly recommend.

To top it all off, we enjoyed airan, which was refreshingly delicious, and the Turkish coffee was the perfect end to our meal – rich and aromatic. The quality and taste of the dishes far exceeded our expectations on both visits. The attention to detail and the passion for authentic Turkish cuisine are evident in every bite. Special mention to Figo, whose exceptional service made our experience even more memorable. His attentiveness, knowledge, and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. If you're in Brighton and looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend Pamukkale. It's a true gem that stands out for its exceptional food and wonderful service. Absolutely amazing food very yummy great ambience and the decor is glorious looks like a Hollywood/London top end Michelin restaurant , the food is fresh vibrant and the menu is very great with eclectic flavours , and the staff are very friendly and well manored with lots of great presents , the restaurant has a romantic but formal feel , the food speaks volumes and very delicate presentation but packs a punch in flavour . This place is a must for a Michelin inspection and deserves a roset it's only been open 9 months but the feel is so welcoming and relaxed . This was a very special vist , price is good value and quality is shined through with the freshness . Overall I have had a brilliant birthday

Not recommended if you have food allergies. Asked before we sat down if they could cater for gluten free and dairy free and they said yes. After ordering food and drinks…from the set menu i was advised I could only eat the olives and chicken Shish. 3 pieces of chicken and a small salad charged at £18.95. If you have food diaries and want a decent size lunch wouldn’t recommend it.

Thank you for providing 4 slices of courgettes that were perfectly cooked. All the other food was tasty and well seasoned. The portions are small for the price £19. My boyfriend liked the rice pudding because there was condensed milk in it. But I don’t think it was cooked for long enough so the rice was not soft and some were quite chewy. It was too sweet for me and too liquidy and not creamy and couldn’t taste any lemon/cinnamon or rose water. Quite disappointed as it was the rice, that I chose because it was said to be homemade and I know the other restaurant has a better creamy version because I have been there. Thank you for the napkins and the fresh vegetables.
