Pamukkale Turkish Restaurant in Brighton and Hove

Really cozy restaurant with nice and welcoming staff. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was quite long, which drags it down a bit. But when the food finally came, it was really delicious.

Great place, had lunch with family on a random walk around Brighton city centre. Loved the food, the ambience and the service.

I celebrated my birthday here a couple weeks ago, food was amazing and the service could not have been any better. The manager was a really good host and made the dinner with my friends really special. Got us a round of drinks and some bread with some souces for starters as well as a little cheesecake to sing happy birthday for me. All staff were very attentive and superb Prices are very reasonable for the food quantity and quality. I recommend to go even if there’s no event to celebrate!

Food that makes you go mmmmmm. Staff that makes you go ahahahaha Efes that makes you go straight to the dog house because you drank the bar dry. What an unreal gaff. Best turkish food I have had. Coldest efes' I have had. Longest hangover I have had. A must try!

Genuinely shocked at how this restaurant has received 4.8 star reviews on google. We went to celebrate my niece’s birthday but was so appalled by the level of service. The lamb shish was almost raw and inedible so we politely asked the waiter to if he could ask the chef to cook it slightly longer. To our surprise, the chef stepped out the kitchen and requested that if we do not like the food, to leave the restaurant. He claimed that it was not raw and that if the boss saw food being returned to the kitchen, that he would get fired. Never have we experienced such poor service. There were no other customers the whole time we were there which reflects on its low standards. Will not be surprised if this place shuts down very soon.

My partner and I had a wonderful meal here after a recommendation from a friend. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly and the food was really good. The ambiance was perfect with warm and welcoming décor and atmospheric music. We rounded the meal off with a Turkish coffee which was served with Turkish delight. We will definitely come back!

We dined there 2 nights ago, the service was outstanding, even the chef came out of the kitchen to talk to us. The food was excellent 10/10. We ordered too much (obviously), so took our uneaten food home and enjoyed it last night. I think this is now our new favourite Turkish restaurant.

Enjoyed an amazing birthday dinner for my daughter’s 18th. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a relaxing atmosphere. The food is delicious, the service is impeccable. The staff brought out a surprise for my daughter and even sang happy birthday. I highly recommend Pumukkale for its food, atmosphere and service! After doing the LDN to Brighton cycle I needed to recoup some calories and I wasn't disappointed. Make sure to get the baklava for afters, Highly recommended this restaurant.

Still can't get over how legit this place was! We had our lunch here, and I just had the most flavorful lamb shish ever!! I couldn't believe how soft the lamb was, mind blown!! The side salad was perfect as well, I honestly wanted a refill. 🤤 We were planning not to spend much, but that hummus was calling us, and we did not regret at all! My partner got the kebab, and both of us got lassi, not sweet, very authentic! We left super full and will definitely be coming back. 🩷

Went by the reviews and was hopeful this restaurant was a good choice, unfortunately it now tops my dud list of bad decisions for the year. We went for the set menu for £85 and received meagre portions. There seemed to be more large dips than actual food. What sort of menu composes of more dips than food? The ribs had more fat than meat. Lamb cubes were tiny. The whole main is on a single large plate! If the restaurant was located in central London on a high end fashionable upmarket street, 5* Michelin award then fair enough. But a place with a load of pink plastic flowers from Temu taped on the ceiling on Brighton High street, ridiculously over priced. I’d be surprised if this place runs on repeat customers, more like tourists like us. If you’re reading this review and don’t want to feel like you’ve been scammed avoid this place. I’ll leave on a positive note, the plastic Temu flowers sellotaped on ceiling does look good on photos.

Lunch was great. Very tasty and homemade. The service was excellent. Very friendly hosts who take care of the guests. Would go there again in a heartbeat. At the end, tea was offered, which was great. Just a great restaurant to go out to eat.

We came in for lunch and were surprisingly the only guests. The service was super friendly and attentive, helped us choose something and also gave us tips on the dishes. The food was delicious, there were also small starters for free, as well as plenty of Turkish tea at the end. The falafel are homemade and are recommended! The service impressed us most and we would come back at any time. Thank you for the little tea gift! ❤️

Sadly the food was cold, dry, tasteless and some of it burnt. Both meals ended up in the bin.

We went here with a large group of friends. Sadly, I didn't take any photos of the food. We were too busy eating to take photos. The food was beautifully cooked, with incredible value, and the cocktails were superb. Highly recommend for anybody in Brighton. Very good veggie options, too!

Food is okay. Tasty, but okay tasty, nothing too amazing. It's like very traditional Turkish cuisine. They have lunch deal, £18.95 for two courses. I had a lentil soup, it was very liquid rather than thick, so was surprised little bit. However, the service was perfect! 11 out of 10! Very friendly and attentive.

When you want Turkish food in Brighton, definitely go to this restaurant. The prices are affordable, the taste is delicious. The employees are very friendly. Also, their teas are amazing.

The food is delicious, the staff is amazing and the service is incredible. The menu options are great and the atmosphere is amazing with clear attention given to all customers. Overall, a very high end experience and would definitely come back to the restaurant. All staff and the owner were amazing.

Honestly you cannot fault this place for Turkish food, this me & our partners second visit in 5 months arriving to Brighton from London late on a Sunday eve, they were more than happy to seat us at 9.30pm, Food & drinks are all fresh, we love the Sigara boregi for a hot starter, & mixed shish for the main, it’s all lush. 😋 Staff are top tier in here, very competent & friendly. Service is exceptional too. 5* highly recommend.

We were visiting Brighton from the Turks & Caicos islands and totally enjoyed our amazing vegetarian meal at Pamukkale and highly recommend it to everyone, vegetarians and meat eaters alike.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pamukkale in Brighton, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable meal. As a couple of foodies from Portsmouth, we were so impressed with the food that we ordered the lamb twice! It was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The grilled vegetables were a perfect complement, fresh and seasoned just right. To top it all off, we enjoyed airan, which was refreshingly delicious, and the Turkish coffee was the perfect end to our meal – rich and aromatic. The quality and taste of the dishes far exceeded our expectations on both visits. The attention to detail and the passion for authentic Turkish cuisine are evident in every bite. Special mention to Figo, whose exceptional service made our experience even more memorable. His attentiveness, knowledge, and friendly demeanor truly enhanced our dining experience. If you're in Brighton and looking for a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend Pamukkale. It's a true gem that stands out for its exceptional food and wonderful service. Not recommended if you have food allergies. Asked before we sat down if they could cater for gluten free and dairy free and they said yes. After ordering food and drinks…from the set menu i was advised I could only eat the olives and chicken Shish. 3 pieces of chicken and a small salad charged at £18.95. If you have food diaries and want a decent size lunch wouldn’t recommend it.

Absolutely amazing food very yummy great ambience and the decor is glorious looks like a Hollywood/London top end Michelin restaurant , the food is fresh vibrant and the menu is very great with eclectic flavours , and the staff are very friendly and well manored with lots of great presents , the restaurant has a romantic but formal feel , the food speaks volumes and very delicate presentation but packs a punch in flavour . This place is a must for a Michelin inspection and deserves a roset it's only been open 9 months but the feel is so welcoming and relaxed . This was a very special vist , price is good value and quality is shined through with the freshness . Overall I have had a brilliant birthday

Came here for lunch with my friends whilst in Brighton for the day. Our waitress, Esra, was GREAT & the chicken shish kebab I had was DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back! Can’t recommend enough!

Thank you for providing 4 slices of courgettes that were perfectly cooked. All the other food was tasty and well seasoned. The portions are small for the price £19. My boyfriend liked the rice pudding because there was condensed milk in it. But I don’t think it was cooked for long enough so the rice was not soft and some were quite chewy. It was too sweet for me and too liquidy and not creamy and couldn’t taste any lemon/cinnamon or rose water. Quite disappointed as it was the rice, that I chose because it was said to be homemade and I know the other restaurant has a better creamy version because I have been there. Thank you for the napkins and the fresh vegetables.

Found this restaurant on a whim and the decor caught out eye. We was greeted with a warm welcome and looked after well by Figo and the rest of the staff. Food was amazing and would definitely go back and recommend.

Fabulous meal with 5 friends. Host could not be more wonderful. The waiter took our order without notepad, all in his head and got it perfectly correct, and remembered who was having what. Given a table of six, with not all having starters and not one main dish repeated, I found that very impressive. All of our food was perfectly cooked, very tasty and the portions were not small at all. Put it this way, if you have the mixed grill do not have a starter!

Fantastic find. Moved away from Brighton a few years ago and back for a visit. I love Turkish food and found this on the Internet. Not disappointed. Delicious food and very reasonably priced. Sucuk was delicious as was the mixed grill. Companion had the hot hummas with lamb then kleftico and thoroughly enjoyed. Good sized portions and you wont leave hungry. Lovely surroundings with nice lounge music in the background. Good choice on the menu, both food and drinks. Staff very friendly and attentive but not intrusive. Would definitely return. Well done on providing a lovely meal and Iook forward to coming back on my next visit.

Normally I wouldn't prefer meat, but this place made me eat meat for the first time in my life. I ate the best meat meal I've ever had in my life here. The service is great, everyone is friendly.. Definitely try it, you will thank me!!☺️☺️ We’re going there every week now 🙃

The food was great, except that the rice pudding - which I think was a freebie from the restaurant as we didn't order it - leaked over everything! It was pretty messy; maybe in future try to seal the container better? Also the way the food was stacked in the bag meant that things tipped over. Need to take more care with the packing!

Family Meal, Customer service was absolutely amazing, the food was to die for and there drinks we're great too, Amin the head waiter was very attentive, we didn't need to call them over to our table they was very on the ball and Eron the bartender makes the best drinks ever! Honestly one of the best Turkish restaurants I've ever been too, well worth a visit, wish I could rate them higher!

These guys do everything right. Welcomed and greeted on arrival. Warm, cosy and beautiful decor. Nice cutlery and glassware. Nice plates Delicious dips and pitta to start you off. We had vine leaves to begin. Wonderful. Mains we had one lamb shish and one chicken. We both preferred the chicken. Lamb was less tender. Salad fresh and with a nice dressing. Rice delicious, Fluffy and mixed. Very nice indeed. Pudding. Ohhh the pudding. Cheese cake - best I've had. Baklava, served warmed with icecream...utterly delightful, best of its kind. Owner, very warm, friendly and accomondating. Very much enjoyed our experience and will be back! Oh and a lovely Turkish tea!

It offers a beautiful dining experience. While we initially found the menu prices a bit high, the quality of the meal justified it. The staff were courteous and hospitable. After our meal, we were offered complimentary cups of tea, and my daughters were offered ice creams. The restrooms were clean, and the restaurant is kid-friendly. One staff member even took the time to play with and carry my 2 and 3-year-old, adding to the lovely atmosphere. It provides not only delicious food but also exceptional service and a welcoming environment suitable for families. I recommend for those seeking a memorable dining experience.
