Very, very disappointed. First time giving them a try for breakfast. Service was very very slow and no apology given (it wasn't even busy!!) and when it arrived wasn't v hot, and poor quality. Asked for bacon and sausages to be "well done" but mine came out the same as my friends orders. Was expensive considering the quality of the food and service. Tables were slow to be cleared. Staff weren't at all engaging. Would not visit again.

This is a little gem in the heart of Trowbridge. It’s so underrated. It’s tucked away, so often gets overlooked. The staff and volunteers are lovely and homely, you are made to feel so welcome. They have a range of gardening tools and accessories. The plants. Shrubs and fruit trees are good quality and well looked after. It’s a shaded space with great facilities for wheel chair users. It’s a relaxing experience with no pressure to buy. I love my garden centres . This is one of my favourites.

We visited the cafe, we found a table, I went to order our lunch, one of our granddaughters wanted a orange juice to which I purchased at a very expensive £1.49 ( I have to add it was a small carton ) lunch arrived did not look appetising at all, I definitely would not recommend this cafe for several reasons 1 the cafe is run down 2 extremely high prices 3 No atmosphere did not feel comfortable 4 not child friendly My recommendation would be avoid, I will not be recommending this cafe to family, friends or work colleagues

Recently met friends for afternoon tea at Palmer Garden Centre, checking on the website that it says closing at 5.00pm. At 3.30 the waitress hoovered up around us ...a table of 4, and another table of 3 ladies! I was disgusted as was the other customers. Surely businesses need to get back to pre Covid and welcome customers not putting them off.

Having visited earlier in the week for coffee with a friend we decided to call in on sunday afternoon to buy some plants and have a drink and cake. When the lady serving the food saw us we were told only 4 to a table. Out party consisted of 3 adults a 4 year old and 1 year old and we would be unable to all sit together. At this time only 2 other tables were occupied inside the cafe. The strange thing about this is that on my first visit a group of ladies were sat having coffee and had moved chairs to accommodate them all and nothing was said to them about not sitting in a group of more than 4 around a table. From visits to other cafes in the last month I was under the impression that up to 6 people could sit together. We will not be going back here in a rush.

We have never been here before a probably will never go back, my Wife had a Ham Sandwich while myself and me Mum both had a Cheese and Tomato Toasty. To be fair the food coming out of the Kitchen looked really nice. My Wife’s Ham Sandwich was very nice but the 2 Cheese Toasty were horrible and tasteless, first off it clearly states on the Menu that the Cheese is Cheddar, the Cheese we had was Mozzarella we both said at the same time it wasn’t very nice, it was like eating rubber and just tasteless. It was impossible to eat it all so we gave up the Ghost, when my Mother told the Waitress when she came to collect the dirty Plates she said she was sorry and just walked off? To be clear we didn’t want a refund of any sort? It’s their loss as we won’t be going back and i will not be recommending anyone to go there either......

Just visited the garden centre and cafe with my elderly parents and my young son. The cafe is clean and bright with windows looking out onto the garden centre. It was hard to choose between the cheese or fruit scones but we eventually decided on the fruit and oh my goodness, it was indeed the best scone I’ve ever had (even my own do not come this close to perfection!!). My son chose a “mint crumble” - think rocky road topped with Kendal mint cake and chocolate!!! It too was really lovely - very rich so a good one to share.

Where do I start? I eat here most days (if I’m working in Trowbridge. There is always a good choice of ‘feel good’ home cooked food on offer as well as a vegetarian option. But, the main reason I support this place is for the work they do with youngsters with learning difficulties. I have seen some of these young people flourish to a point where they become useful members of the team and earn a decent wage. This is brilliant to see. Well worth a visit, even if you’re not going to the garden centre.

Just popped into here with a friend for a quick lunch. It was pleasant to see they could offer gluten free bread for my sandwich. My bacon sandwich was tasty and together with a pot of tea it went down a treat!! The price was very good too.

I've tried cheese scones around the world, but have rarely had such tasty ones as produced here. The service can be a bit slow when there is a queue but the coffee and scone are worth the wait. Very friendly staff. Now summer is coming it will be good to sit outside.

Used to be lovely but seems to be becoming more of a caff than a café, with more tables, less choice and rather bland, run of the mill meals. What a shame - it used to have a wider choice and better food. Hardly ever eat here now.

With roads closed or completely impassable due to the severe rain from Storm Bert, we finally gave up trying to get home late on Sunday evening and parked up in the car park of the Bolingbroke. Too worried to go any further, we nervously knocked on the door, despite the pub being officially closed, and to our relief was invited in and offered a room for the night. Jo and Rob looked after us all evening, the room was clean and perfect for the emergency overnight stay and even made us breakfast before we set off in the morning. I can thank you both enough for your hospitality and kindness in what was, quite literally, an incredibly stressful occasion. Would recommend to anyone and even planning a return trip, under better conditions, to come back and say thank you once again. Wonderful. Ray and Marion

The website states it’s open until 4pm, it doesn’t say the kitchen closed at 2:30pm. We were happy to have cold quiches but the waitress made us feel so unwelcome even though we spent £46. She then cleaned the table implying we should leave, so we did and we won’t be coming back!

We visited on a Sunday for breakfast. Arriving a couple of minutes after 10am (opening time), we queued for a table and then again to order food. There were plenty of tables but appreciated it was busy - not all tables were full. We waited for 50 minutes for our food to arrive, although coffee arrived much earlier. This was prompted by us asking where our food was/checking the order had been made, to which we were told ‘we’d just have to wait because it was busy’. The food arrived 5 minutes later. The food was tasty and we’ve no complaints about the quality or price. But, something about the system here just doesn’t make sense, queuing at every point and then waiting another 50 minutes for scrambled eggs on toast and a bacon sandwich, doesn’t make sense. We arrived at 10 and didn’t leave until 12:15…. People had started arriving for lunch! Sadly, we’d not return. There are just other places nearby that are doing it better.

We visited with family from France with dog who were looking forward to visiting for coffee and a light snack for lunch,we arrived on a dry bright Sunday lunch, although relatively busy, there were several tables empty, albeit full of dirty leftovers, when we pointed this out to the lovely girl behind d counter she promptly cleared table and wiped, from this point expectations fell away quickly, there was absolutely nothing to eat except carrot cake or muffins fresh or pre packed biscuits and flapjack ! We mentioned this to the counter staff who just said sorry were short staffed and low on food, there were 8 members of staff behind the counter ! Oh well, we ordered coffee which hit the spot first round fine, second round incorrect, then members of our party wished to visit the loo before leaving, a queue of several people waiting constantly to use 1 toilet that was disgustingly dirty from top to bottom ! All in all a poor experience of what some 18 months ago was a lovely place to visit, maybe it was just an Off day, but to have that many staff not doing a lot or cared a lot, not sure I would be in a hurry to revisit
