Personal encantador : -)

I'm so frustrated that these chain restaurants are on the radar everywhere anymore - NY, Istanbul, London (I'm sure many other places too). :(

Loved the coffee and the banana and chocolate cakes, really delicious! The merengues are a little pricey but look amazing, service is quite nice also.

Very underwhelming experience. We have dined in several Michelin star restaurants around the world and love a good experience. This restaurant was a great disappointment. We had the evening menu, which appears to be dishes from the menu but to share and therefore double the price, other tables had ordered regular meals and they appeared to be the same size as the one we had to share. Secondly the food was just not great. Very normal, nothing extraordinary or special in any kind of way, rather boring and bland. Also the service was unable to speak proper English therefore the communication was difficult. The wine had to be self-served, the bottle was left at the table, no-one checked on us to refill our glasses. When we spoke up regarding missing fish cutlery, we got a rude answer from the waiter that he can cut it perfectly fine and would do it for us if we struggled 😳. No explanation on the dishes was given, just placed in front of us. Also the restaurants atmosphere is not great, it is very busy as the kitchen is on the upper floor and you can see and hear the waiters running up and down the hallway. The bar in the upper floor is operated in a loudly manner. When we asked to waive the service charge, our waitress was not able to understand the ask herself and called the manager who discussed the situation, so a bad meal with bad service was followed by a socially awkward conversation. We would have expected a price reduction at the very least. Would not recommend, genuinely don’t understand how they managed to get a Michelin Star.

Best experience I have ever had with fine dining Pied-à-Terre went above and beyond for my office party of 41 people. First David Moore is an absolute delight and Ciara, who takes care of reservations, is perfection at what she does. My employer asked me to find a restaurant for 41 people, all traveling from California to London. He was paying for our entire office and a guest to go on an adventure of a lifetime, so I looked up Michelin Starred restaurants in London and was instantly drawn to one that was called out as the longest standing in London. I emailed to see if we could book for such a large party and Ciara made it happen. She arranged for us to be greeted with champagne, she helped navigate every piece of setting up such a large affair, and then we got there and it was better than I could have imagined. We had a 10 course tasting menu of the most divine food I have ever experienced cooked by Alberto Cavaliere and his fantastic kitchen staff, I wish I had the chance to thank you all personally. Each course was paired with wine perfectly. Every single person in this establishment that we interacted with was amazing. Emelyne (head waiter), Connor (sommelier), Mo, Matthew & Kush were serving, Suze (GM) and Hanifa (reception), the first lovely face you will likely see when entering. Every single one of them made us feel special. If I have left out anyone, you also made my night amazing. I could go one for another 100 words about eating and joking with coworkers about trying to get into the kitchen for more. I’ll sum it up by just saying, GO! You will not be disappointed. If you want an extra giggle you can let them know that Alice, from California sent you and give them my love because they deserve every bit.

Loved it , been on my list for ages and didn’t disappoint . The services was attentive without being intrusive. The food was beautifully cooked and the attention to quality goes down to the butter . Portions are generous too. Will be back

It was a while since we had been to Mon Plaisir and we were pleased that we had returned. The staff seemed less French but the food was decidedly so and both aspects were very good, albeit we waited a little longer than expected for our main courses. We selected from the main menu and seasonal specials rather than the good value set menu, so it was quite an expensive lunch, especially with the very good house champagne at £17 a glass and glasses of wine at 13 or 14. Our mains ranged from 28 to 36. Overall, very good but quite pricey.
