Paddy's Plaice in Gwynedd

Great little chippy….we got there just before closing so they cooked to order for us. Fish was delicious and both fish and chips were generous in portion size….if you do visit try the Irish curry ….super tasty! 2 x fish 1 x large chips 2x sausage 1x peas 1x curry and 2 cans of pop £22 ….well worth popping in and we will be back when we’re next in town .

This is a very popular place and the very long wait for fish n chips is why I only gave it a 4. Everything is cooked to order so that does explain it. Cannot fault the quality of the size of portions. Give it a go but be prepared to wait. It is worth it.

Best fish and chips by far in Gwynedd. No small measures, well worth waiting for. A vast menu if you want a change from fish.

This is the best of the three chipshops in Criccieth.Plenty of alternatives on the massive menu board.Well organised queuing and prompt service of quality Fish and Chips.And you can park right outside .

After reading some of the reviews for here I was expecting a great fish and chips experience…..sadly I was bitterly disappointed. Had to wait 25 minutes with the slowest service I’ve ever seen. Then confusion over various orders( not just mine). The fish pieces were tiny and the chips very small portions. The mushy peas were very watery and again tiny and the curry sauce was like wallpaper paste very thick and glutinous. Altogether a very disappointing experience of which I will not trying again.
