Crispy and thin batter on fish and chips are good too. Prices are good and portions are good.

Fish was in a pool of oil was to greasy not pleasant to eat so will be feeding it to the dog for its dinner this has happened twice now won’t be ordering from paddock again been ordering from them for over 6 years sad the quality is disappointing

I Ordered Large Fish and Chips today and I had less Chips than I did last week when I ordered Small Fish and Chips. How does that work? Maybe I should be rude to the staff so they can fix up. Goray staff treat us better than our own Asian staff 🤦🏻‍♂️

Both fish butty and fish and chips were taste and followed the request. The only downside was that they were only a little warm which wasn't unexpected but I hoped for more. We will definitely drop by in person next time as it always tastes better that way.

Perfect fish and chips I did order large but the portion of chips are becoming smaller which is a shame.

Got my order wrong, sent me the wrong stuff, and when I called back to let them know, they were like, this what you ordered and I told them I didn't, they ended up gaslighting me. Worse place ever. Fish was greasy soft, not crispy as I hoped it would be.

Absolutely pathetic portion £3.20 for a tea cake with next to no chips on, come on £3.20 is enough money to pay for a decent portion of chips no need to be so tight it’s only a potato, at park road chippy it’s £2.80 for a chip butty and you get a lot more chips at least 5 times more like it should be and the quality is far better Stop ripping your customers off with the ridiculously tiny portions your serving up, you don’t deserve any customers, it’s a rip off stay away if you don’t want ripping off (not enough to feed a 5 year old child)

This was the place for fish and chips a couple of years back. However on this occasion not as good, the fish seemed flaccid and chips too soft to be a delight. They were always stingy on chip portion but didn't mind as so tasty back then. But when chips not great the lack of them males you feel it is now an overpaid meal. Shame used to be my go to place for my favourite takeaway.

This place is a gem which I always look forward to popping in to, when visiting Huddersfield. Good quality food all the time. Highly recommeded.

Food arrived early, was hot and tasty

Will recommend them because the fish was delicious,hot with crispy light batter. The chips were tasty and even sized. The portions were medium and as a whole the meal was filling Thank you also for delivering in good time.

This chip shop is far the best around the Huddersfield area. I work around this area, I've been to many and this one is the best. The staff are always friendly, the food is always delicious and fresh. Especially the chips are cooked to perfection. I would reckon the all people.

The fish and chips were beautiful, only thing was i ordered 1 large portion and they looked the same as the mediums and in the same box. Only mentioned as there’s quite a big price difference. Other than that I would highly recommend as the fish especially was lovely.

This was by far the worst fish I’ve ever had. It was greasy, the fish managed to be tasteless and also give a disgusting aftertaste. I couldn’t finish it. The staff were unfriendly and disinterested.

they always deliver orders really late I've got kids who go to masjid at 5pm but it takes over 1hr and 11 minutes just to deliver not happy with the delivery method it should be delt with quickly.

Disappointed , fish and chips tasted oily. Fish tasted as if it had been previously frozen. Mushy peas were cold. Shame because when j have been in shop food has been nice.

The portion sizes of chips need looking at as I ordered large but the chips were not that much more than the medium chip butty. But other than that the food is always fantastic and hot and on point best fish and chips in Huddersfield.

Paddock Fish Bar has been operating for a while now and for good reason - quality ingredients. I can’t put my finger on how, but the fish and chips are clearly of a better quality than the likes of Mother Hubbard. They are also, on average, not as greasy. However, every now and then I do find that the portion sizes are on the small side.

Very disappointed with the food, use to be good but has gone completely down hill. Only if I can upload pictures in what I got. Ordered a chilli with chips and the chips were odd colour and soggy. The chilli was sloppy. Had 1 spoon and the rest in the bin. Was awful. Ordered nuggets they were very, very dry. Will not be ordering again.

Absolutely appalled with the portion sizes and pricing and will definitely not be going again. Even after that the chips were hard and the fish was disgusting and curry sauce was like water. I definitely wont be recommending or returning.

Poor customer service experience, more of a cheap takeaway experience with poorly managed staff members including the owner. Better to raise a complaint with trading standards than these people.

The first time I have used Paddock Fish Bar .....I was absolutely delighted. Delicious Fish and Chips...very good portions and cooked to perfection. The team were very helpful and courteous which in my opinion is very important. Am looking forward to my next time

Lovely fish and chips but once again delivered cold, come on guys I only live nearby. Perhaps you should cook deliverys fresh.

Large chips were at the bottom of the carrier bag, they were cool/cold which made them taste more greasy than I think they would normally be. Think the food wasn't transported in an insulated bag. Curry sauce was a bit watery, tasty but a watery.

So few weeks back went to the fish bar before rang up order on the phone told them I will pick it up in 15 min got there was not ready so wait again for 10min still not ready so I left because had to get back to work so today someone told my daughter I ran out never payed 😠😠😠I go there all the time shame
