OzTurk in Barking and Dagenham

I placed an order for collection. I was running a little late to collect. This employee called me twice and I explained my husband will collect the food he is on his way. The third call I received employee said ‘if you don’t collect the food then we will have to throw it in the bin’. I was in shock. I said my husbands on his way. What I should’ve said was ‘bin it’!! Don’t want your damn food but with fasting and almost ifthar time approaching I obviously wasn’t thinking and didn’t stop my husband; but there you go that’s the kind of service we got just for running a little late to collect food from Ozturk. Finally when the food was collected it arrived with not a single sauce. Which was done on purpose. Disgusting attitude and disgusting behaviour. Appalled.

The worst Turkish I have ever eaten in my life we have Turkish very often and tonight we thought we would try somewhere different! The taste of the chicken was definitely not turkish! You couldn’t even cut the chicken let alone chew it. The rice was so dry I drank more of my drink than ate my dinner! Wouldn’t even recommend for a homeless person for a free meal!

Great Turkish grills and good service. Lots to choose from their menu. Food is fresh and well presented. Well worth a visit.

The lamb burger is really nice here. Very good flavours and the wings is good too. However calamari was really rubbery as if it was frozen and the rice was really bland.

I order takeaway from this place and have to say they do Turkish but have an Asian twist to it. Def worth a try. Their food is very tasty. Make sure you try chicken wings and lamb chops. The delivery was on time. I am defo happy with this place.

Maybe im missing something with the order reviews however i really enjoyed the food here. We chose a selection of foods chicken lamb rice etc. I really really liked it. Rhey obviously cook over some sort of grilled barbeque as you could taste nice smokiness. Perhaps the portion was slightly small but it was satisfactory. Service was minimal in that they took your order etc but that was it. Would eat here again.

I ordered from this place in spite of reading the bad reviews in hope that they would be wrong, but this place proved it’s unworthiness quite competently. The food in this place is an absolute disgrace. Cheating establishment. Over priced food, minute portions and reheated stale food. An interest to trading standards. Trust the reviews and avoid this place.

I’ve ordered takeaway 3 times and delivery is always extremely slow. However customer service etc is fine and sometimes I get added items for free due to being a regular customer as my colleagues order weekly or every other week and i’m the one who calls etc. The issue I have with the lamb shish and the lamb with aubergine pan dish is that the meat is always gristly and chewy and i’ve not had that at many places before. Thought it was one off but ordered today again and same thing. On top of that, verrrrry oily. The chilli sauce is also bitter compared to other places. I’m honestly not a fan and if it wasn’t for my colleagues I wouldn’t order again. I gave leftovers that you see in the pic to my family and they were in agreement about the oil and meat. Sorry to say but it comes nowhere close to Mangal Meze in Romford and i’ve tried many Turkish restaurants. May be the dishes i’ve had but I certainly wouldn’t recommend for those.

This is my usual place to get dinner if I dont feel like cooking. I ordered the Ribs with Rice. Ribs were nice and juicy, rice was fresh. Bit on the pricey side but defiantly worth the price with the portion size. Sometimes their food is over cooked, but they have happily replaced or refunded my money.

Had odered a meal amounting 16£, food arrived on time however food was full of rice than meat. Compare other Turky’s Food around won’t going back to them. Taste was ok. Very plain. Hope they will look around what competitors are offering.

Best Turkish food I’ve had in ages. It’s not your normal Turkish food but with spice and it tastes 100% better than authentic Turkish food. If you want a little kick to your Turkish food then this is the place. Defo recommend this place.

Absolutely terrible service and will not be ordering from them ever again. Ordered on a Sunday evening and they added 30 minutes to an hour delivery. I called to cancel the order but advised they always do this to cover themselves and it would be here much earlier. Even with the additional 30 minutes, they added, the food turned up much later and was lukewarm with some items cold. Ozturk simply did not care! Quality of the food was disappointing with chicken shish tasting like chicken tikka. This is clearly not an authentic Turkish place and there are much better options in Ilford/ Goodmayes area which far exceed their quality. Thought we'd give them a try and that will be the last order they get from us. Terrible service, late delivery, cold and unauthentic food. Ozturk is a massive flop
