OYO The Nelson Country House in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

Excellent food, venue, price and staff

Great place. We were doing 2 days on the Norfolk coast path, and this was our night in between. We had a twin room - which was very spacious and with a good bathroom. We also had dinner and breakfast - food top notch. Decent Norfolk ales too. The staff were very friendly - brilliant service. We needed to leave our car in the car park all day both days which wasn't a problem. Would recommend.

I needed somewhere to stay late the other evening it was like 10pm and I needed space to park my large work van something that is difficult at most hotels. Anyway I stumbled across this place what a Gem in beautiful Burnham market. I arrived at 10.15 after making a phone call the owner Gaving poured me a beer whilst checking me in and got the keys to my room. Super friendly people a proper country inn the room and breakfast was superb 11 out of 10 if only I could find more places like this on my travels! I will be back

Cosy pub where many locals come. Good food, good breakfast and good beer

Repeat prescription required please 🙏 My wife and I were very fortunate to experience the warm welcome that greeted us upon our arrival on Saturday. Staying two nights here, we were shown our room, which was very cosy with plenty of character and charm. The Sunday roast was delicious and more than ample for myself (quite a large man), and my wife (a little less larger than me). The bar was full of lively local characters, who,themselves,accepted us also. We departed this morning- with a feeling of new friends gained- and a belly full of an awesome breakfast to fuel us on our way back home. The Nelson- we salute you. Thank you very much to Grant, Rebecca and the family, Tyler,Ashley and Josh, apologies if I have missed any other team members. Once again- we loved our stay. Can't wait to come back👍🏻 Thank you all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food good and reasonably priced but need to check their menu for spelling mistakes 😅

Just had a meal here. Described as a country pub but more like an estate pub. No character at all. Husband had steak and chips which was ok. I had roast beef which was dire. I told the staff member very quickly that the beef was tough and dry and that I wouldn't eat it but no discussion, no alternative was offered, no reduction in the price etc. Aside from the beef, "roast," potatoes were soggy and cauliflower cheese tasteless. Frozen yorkshire pudding. Parsnips were also soggy but tasty and the gravy was nice enough. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Wow, what a great find. The staff were very attentive. The food was delicious and catered for gluten free. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was a good size with a powerful shower. For us the team made the stay. Nothing was ever too much! Great value for money and will definitely be back!!

On seeing and booking a room here on booking.com and travelling for 4 hours, we were very disappointed on the poor upkeep of the room, mould and peeling paint in the bathroom, spare pillows were stained, entrance door in need of replacing, dirty extractor fan and radiator, limescale around the kettle, . We ended up having to cancel, costing us £90 and find another place at the last minute :( .. Hopefully, the issues get rectified ASAP..

The new owners of The Nelson are incredibly warm and welcoming as soon as you step into the bar. Great selection of pints. Love seeing the pub come back to life and revamped!

Menu was nothing like online. Food was not great. The place was empty on a Saturday night should have gone else where.
