I bought a couple of pasties here to take home for lunch, one steak, one chicken, and they were both absolutely awful. My steak pastie had virtually no meat in it at all, just some onions and lentils smothered in pepper, and the pastry itself was undercooked and greasy. My wife's chicken pastie was equally as bad and she left virtually all of the pastry as she though it tasted and had a texture more like filo than short crust. Terrible quality and terrible value at about 4 pounds each. Since the old baker retired this place has gone steadily downhill, the steak pasties used to have actual pieces of steak in them and potatoes, now you get what amounts to a teaspoon of what might be mince.

I visited the Dorchester shop on Sunday afternoon and bought a goats cheese and pepper sandwich for lunch. I’m not sure when the sandwich had been prepared but the bread was dry and tough. I was unable to cut through the crust with the knife and fork provided. Very disappointing for something that cost nearly £5 and uncomfortable to try and eat. I gave up after a mouth full and left both the sandwich and the shop. I wouldn’t recommend sandwiches from this establishment.

First time going into Oxford’s but what a hidden gem, best coffee I’ve ever had, the young man made me my coffee too the letter. Been drinking coffee for over 20 years religiously and would definitely recommend this place, my only issue was the lack of glass in front of the food didn’t really want to eat something that anyone can touch. Non the less my hubby loved his Eccles cake.

Could not find the link to Dorchester's Oxford's Bakery which is found near the bottom of town on the pedestrian part! Lovely small bakers with a few seats outside. Very good flat white served by lovely staff. Croissants and coffee far superior than the chain on the corner.

Our Tintinhull Phoenix Ladies group enjoy a very entertaining afternoon here. The tour and talk was most interesting and the meal afterwards was delicious, followed by cake and coffee. We will certainly return for more delicious food.Thank you.

We'd looked forward to buying bread from Oxford's Bakery in Sherborne...met all expectations. Delicious artisan wholemeal loaf, made perfect toast over the next couple of days. Good selection of breads and cakes, lovely staff, excellent value - very reasonably priced.

This bakery makes a great selection of breads, pastries, cakes & treats. Everything I have tried, has been excellent. The bread is particularly good. You will need a sweet tooth, for the Chocolate brownie & bakewell tart, which are full on sugar!

My husband loves this bakers, particularly the cakes. We went in to discover quite a few old tradional favourties that brought back childhood memories - Madelines or known to me as Lighthouses - these tasted better than I remembered. Hubby loves the huge Belgian Buns - these are a meal in themselves - big and tasty. Bread is also great and at a reasonable price for a large loaf. Located half way up Cheap Street past the Post Office on the left side if walking up. If you fancy something different than the supermarkets try here. Staff are also chatty and pleasant.

Traditional, old fashioned, classic bakehouse/tearoom. It does what it says on the tin! And the Eccles cakes are to die for.

We popped in for food after a trip to the cinema next door. Lovely warm greeting, great advice and opportunity to taste the sauces before making a decision. We had halloumi wrap, pork wrap & chicken wrap. All totally delicious. We will DEFINITELY be back! Thank you 😊

We were camping just down the road this past weekend and decided to have a browse - I'm glad we did as there was much more to this farm shop than I was expecting. Lots of different produce and gifts type things all quite nicely set out. Some things were sensibly priced considering you do expect to pay a slight premium at a farm shop (postcards 50p, fresh scones £1, clotted cream £1.99), but some of the prices were a little shocking - there were loaves of fresh bread at £4.50 and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw the price of ice cream being served at the side of the car park! Overall a worthwhile trip - the scones were delicious, good selection of ciders and got some lovely warm slipper socks. I'd recommend popping in if you're passing (the views are fantastic too) just don't expect any bargains.

We had a great dinner at the Arts Club. The food was wonderful, the staff were excellent and, being a lovely summer evening, we dined outside in the pretty and surprisingly quiet courtyard.

When in on a Tuesday and wanted to order pizza like we have done so many times before to be told that I couldn’t have the pizza done half and half as they don’t do half and half on a Tuesday , all I wanted was half cheese and the other half sweetcorn , but the lady said not on a Tuesday , never heard of anything so stupid ever , I have been going to here for the last 10 years but after the experience on Tuesday I will never recommend or return

Ate here Friday evening three of us had wood fired pizzas which were delicious, pleasant staff as always. On the Saturday two of us visited for lunch. We had crab sandwiches with a mixed leaf salad, they were tasty enough but £11 seems too much...
