Each time I visit London I make a point of dining at Giotto, and on every occasion I have not been disappointed. The food was exceptionally well cooked and presented as I have come to expect, at my last visit I had the Pollo alla Funghi, absolutely delicious. The staff are friendly, professional and helpful and never did I feel pressured or rushed at any time. Looking forward to returning in July.

Enjoyed a delicious Italian lunch today at Giotto’s Oxford Street Eatery. Instantly elevated into a relaxed and sophisticated space, out of the hustle and bustle of new Oxford St. Booked very short notice, but Magda the manager was very accommodating, and the other staff were very welcoming and professional. We ordered Calamari to start, Spaghetti with Prawns for main, rounded off with Tiramisu and Zabaglione for desert. Calamari were possibly the best we had tasted, beautifully cooked and presented, and a generous portion, garnished with rocket, cherry tomato and a lime segment. The Prawn Spaghetti again was perfectly cooked, and generous to the point where I feel they could offer a slightly smaller lighter lunch option. The 4 huge prawns had a wonderful flavour. After a pause we ordered desert, Zabaglione which was amazing, as was the Tiramisu. While you are paying a premium here without a discount voucher, you are getting something more upmarket, from the moment you walk in. Excellent food, ambience and service. A mini holiday in a meal.

I visited this place on a Saturday evening, from the first initial glance around it looked clean and modern. For a Saturday evening it was very quiet. We were given a seat by the window. Choice of menu was limited. We began to feel uncomfortable with the waiter standing behind us watching with a grimacing smile? Our starter arrived, we ordered duck pâté, it had an odd texture and taste too it. So were unable to eat it. A few more guests arrived. It seemed they wanted to cram everyone into one tiny corner as we were all sat on top of each other. As we were sat by the window we noticed the grimacing waiter walking past. 2 mins later he appeared with a jug of what looked like vinegar? A few minutes later we noticed he walked past again, we thought it was odd, this time when he walked back he was carrying plates of food that customers had ordered! There was no cover over the plates so the food was open to all elements! Thankfully the storm we’d recently had, had calmed down and the rain was just a few specks!! I don’t know if they were ordering Uber eats or what was going on? Was a bit the the old style generation game guessing what food was on the plate as the waiter walked past our window? When we our food being walked down the road and arrive at our table the £30 steak my friend order was like the sole of a leather shoe! My ragu tagliatelle had lumpy bits in it, it seemed the meat may have been frozen and reheated as it was tasteless. Even asking for salt and pepper as none was offered made no difference! The chips that came with the steak tasted like those you’d eat at a greasy spoon cafe! Portion size was not great, if I was a 5 year old child it may have been ok! Service was poor and to top it off followed by icky belly the next day!

We stumbled across this place by chance and glad we did. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and drink here. The staff were really friendly and you feel special. We will definitely be coming back and looking to trying dessert this time. Recommend!

This place will steal from you. We split a £68 bill and the waiter noticed my card in my hand, then forced the card reader to my card without asking. I then asked to have a receipt and he said they’re not available. I asked to see his merchant receipt. He paused and then after a long while showed me a receipt of £64. At this point he’d already charged my friend another £64. After handing back what he owed in cash he embarrassingly apologised incredibly quietly, and clearly wasn’t in the position to ask the manager for compensation for the table. We think this is a lone scammer working at the restaurant. Food superb.

Had a business lunch booked at the Oxford Street Eatery via Opentable and when we arrived the restaurant was not open. Not notice or anything. Seem to be still taking bookings but I think they are no longer open.

I went here today and thought I’d share my thoughts! So impressed by the interior- looks very fancy as well as the food and service. We had 3 courses and each one was delicious. They’re not afraid to try unconventional ingredients in their food but they work! Oh don’t forget their cocktails too- those are incredible! Will be back for sure with more friends.

If I could give this less than 1 star I would. Without a doubt the worst meal I have ever had. For 6:30pm on a Saturday evening, the restaurant atmosphere was awful, already making us feel uncomfortable. We decided to sit outside to avoid sitting in the silence, however that meant we were subjected to the waiting staff pacing up and down past our table, making us unable to relax. My partner ordered the 'chicken' burger, but it definitely did not look or taste like chicken. He didn't want the 'crisps' that came with the meal and asked if they could be substituted for fries, a reasonable request which was very rudely denied. There was nothing 'crisp' about them, soggy and oily pieces of potato which my partner couldn't bear to eat it. As for my Spaghetti Carbonara... it would be an insult to microwave meals to compare it to one. Stone cold, stodgy and absolutely no flavour. It made me feel so ill that I couldn't eat for the rest of the night. If the customer service had been better, I may have been more generous with the stars. However, we had awful customer service, with no one coming to check on our food or ask how the meal was. When our waiter cleared the table, he made no effort to ask why neither of us had ate any of our food. There was nothing positive about our experience at this restaurant, and I would recommend you avoid at all costs. You'd get a better meal at any fast food restaurant on Oxford Street instead.

I took my family to OSE on the first day of indoor dining. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. The staff were very kind to my 3 year old and the kids ate their food without fuss (this is no mean feat!) I especially enjoyed the garlic prawns (starter) and steak but everything was of a very high standard. The kids loved the volcano dessert. The indoor seating is very comfortable and the décor is nice. Outdoor seating is available too. I have been back on a couple of occasions for business meetings and have found OSE to be consistently good.

food was excellent, my second visit in a weeks time! the staff are brilliant as they remember you if you end up being a regular! A must recommend if you are on oxford street
