Absolutely brilliant. We visited in a large group for breakfast and the service was fantastic. Great menu choices and lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Would definitely visit again.

Thought I'd give the Croque Madame a try, even though I thought it was ridiculously expensive at £12. It's only cheese on toast at the end of the day. I was extremely disappointed as I thought, it's got to be outstanding for the £12 asking price alas it was anything but. The coffee also was very expensive and had very little taste, it might as well have come out of a jar. Overall very dissatisfied.

Visited today. Good choice of menu. We both chose Danny’s Rarebit and lattes each. It was presented well but it was definitely overpriced. Latte was £4 and could have been larger. Rarebit was tasty but the smallest thinnest piece of bread, I would have expected some thick bloomer bread not this really thin stuff. Siracha honey was nice.

Great buzzing little venue, plenty of staff, great menu choice and fab with my dog. Food was super, I ordered the full English with toast and a coffee- ingredients all good quality and well cooked. Great friendly staff- will frequent here when I make my regular visits to Altrincham now rather than heading to the market straight away. Well done everyone team ORC

I just had the best sandwich at The Oxford Sandwich Co. I've been in England for about 4 days staying in Central London and have had a hard time finding food I'll eat as a picky eater. But I stumbled apon this sandwich shop on a day trip to Oxford and I was SO excited!! And they didn't disappoint at all. The service was amazing, both the woman behind the counter and the man inside matched my excited energy and made me feel completely welcome!! On top of the service, the food was delicious and the PRICE??? Even better. I didn't pay more than $6 (US) for both a sandwich and a bottle of water. I love this place to death and manged to come back 2 separate times in the same day due to how friendly they are 😭 Anyone reading this PLEASE come and visit them they deserve much more attention. 🩷🩷🩷

Delicious brunch with my two grown up children. Great choices and good value menu. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. Cafe had a greet atmosphere and was clean and well presented.

Delicious sandwiches and very affordable. The woman who served us was lovely to talk to and so helpful. The location inside the covered meadow is charming. We took our baguettes to the meadow for a wonderful picnic.

Had a very simple fried eggs and bacon breakfast sandwich, and it was amazing.

Ordered the SFC wrap and iced cap to take away. Speedy service - no difference in taking home to eating in, high quality as usual. Staff welcoming and friendly. Food fantastic.

Absolutely a good place for sandwich in Oxford. They offer such a charming and generous baguette experience. I recommend the chicken Tarragon. This place I will definitely come again to taste other flavors and combinations.😁

Best sandwich place in the county amazing prices and great service

As all other cafes were understandably packed we decided to give OFC a go (rather reluctantly as the last meal I had here a few years ago wasn’t great). It filled a hole, but I would say the quality of the ingredients were not good considering the prices. Eggs were over cooked with no runny yolk (meant to be fried), therefore were pale and a bit sad looking. I assume they were just sat under the hot light for ages. All the hash browns came out different colours due to cooking time and the “toast” was bread, completely anaemic with no colour at all, I doubt it had even seen the grill/toaster. Although it didn’t taste awful, it was incredibly underwhelming especially when prices are taken into account. Shame as I was hoping that this time it would have been different. Certainly won’t be in a rush to return. Service was good, and the staff were attentive and happy which is great to see. Maybe the cafe is taking on too many tables for quick turnaround? Seems to be the case as the quality of the food has definitely suffered.

I’m happy to wait for good food, but the poached eggs with my guilt free bacon and eggs were overcooked. For a restaurant serving brunch surely well cooked poached eggs should be a basic requirement. Service was mixed, friendly welcome, long wait for food and then one of the waitresses was more interested in chatting to her friends (who were eating at another table) than attending to other customers. Hopefully this was just a bad day.

I took a trip into Oxford with my partner for valentines today and we decided on finding a sandwich shop vs a fast food franchise. I found this company through Google maps and I’m glad we found this gem in the covered market because it was just what we wanted! We were warmly welcomed and the lady was extremely chatty and friendly, just what you want. The food was really good and very fairly priced. We’ve found a gem in the covered market and will be coming back in the future! Make sure to get there early as she had only 1 baguette left but that was no bother as I enjoy a panini!

I don't know what her problem is but the white lady at the counter gave me a frosty stare and then quoted me the wrong price for a Tuna baguette. She was very chatty/ warm before I ordered. Racism? I won't be coming back.

As others said, this is probably the best sandwich shop in terms of flavor and value for money. Highly recommend if you like high quality, tasty and cheap food. The owner was a very cheerful and helpful person as well.

I visited The Oxfordshire Cafe last Friday, I was served by Gina. Gina is brilliant and her knowledge of the menu is fantastic! I have allergies and intolerances, I have coeliac, I am vegan, I have an allergy to milk, nuts and an intolerance to tomatoes therefore I am not the easiest of customers. However this was no problem for my server or the head chef Adam, they both went above and beyond for me. Adam took tomatoes out of produce for me and they both checked the ingredients for me on all the sauces to make sure it was suitable for me to have and Adam actually made me a sauce from scratch that again was suitable for me ……....how amazing is that! All the food is made fresh and really is stunning! Thank you very much to all the staff at The Oxfordshire Cafe, especially to Gina and Adam. I had a lovely experience and the food there is delicious! I highly recommend a visit.

Breakfast/brunch was hot and delicious. All the food we got had very high quality ingredients and you could really taste the difference. Lovely little extras like pesto which you don’t find everywhere, 10/10

Since moving to Altrincham 2 years ago, Oxford Road Cafe has been my go to for a breakfast. The menu is extensive with options for all allergies (my mum is celiac and they do a banging GF french toast) but my favourite is always the Brisket Hash. As anyone who has visited will know, the service is excellent and the staff are always so friendly, nothing is ever too much for them. Visited last weekend for the launch of the American diner and it did not disappoint! Went for the 'Go big or go home' because I'm a big eater and thought I could easily tackle it by myself. Brisket donut, Half rack of ribs, onion rings, chips, hot wings, coleslaw and I upgraded to add the burger aswell. It was absolutely amazing. I barely finished it all but the quality was on point and the food was fresh and you can tell the chef's had put alot of effort into everything. If you haven't visited yet, you're missing out. Plus it's dog friendly! Can't wait to go back and try more of the Diner menu

I have been coming here since day one. But in recent weeks it appears there are different staff at weekends. Not sure if Mr Hanson the owner does not work weekends but the kitchen has no clue on how to prep and cook basic staples....

Great place to have coffee and a catch up with friends. Atmosphere is lovely and the staff were fantastic. Particularly Emily who served us our meal and also took my take away order. Always smiling and professional a real asset to the Oxford Road team....

Food is tasty, I ordered a club sandwich which was over £10, and it arrived with the tiniest amount of meat on it, less than 1 rasher of bacon and the smallest piece of chicken. It was basically full of lettuce and mayo. Really disappointing,...

Have had breakfast here before, pre covid. This year it was not as good as it was, probably due to cost of living. Smaller portions and on the edge of expensive for a cafe.

Found this cafe on Tripadvisor,used the place before we went to old Trafford for the cricket. On entering in is very clean and food is excellent to,when in the area again will certainly use again

An absolute gem of a find. The baguettes are amazing. The bread tastes freshly baked and has always been warm. The ingredients are all fresh. For a morning treat, highly recommend the breakfast baguette. Word has quickly spread around my office, and now we all head there for a Friday treat. It is also great value for money and much cheaper than elsewhere in Oxford. The owner takes the time to chat with the customers but there is never a long wait. Excellent customer service. It is hidden at the back of the Covered market, and is worth searching for the next time you are there.

Absolutely brilliant little place if your I the area a real rare find! I don't know any other place that has some of the items from there menu. A "keema tostie" or "dahl Wednesday" or example! tasty. Well priced and extremely well run by the owners great service and perfect atmosphere highly recommended

I was in Altrincham recently for my car service. I walked up to the Oxford Road Cafe for a lunch. I have been there before for a brunch but this time I ordered steak strips with a garlic based sauce and sweet potato fries. The place was very busy so I had a long wait (25 minutes) but when the food came it really was delicious. The service was very friendly and the cafe has a real bounce about it. Highly recommended!

We called in to Oxford Road Cafe for breakfast on Saturday 23.10.2021 on the recommendation of one of our party who had visited previously and what a treat of a place this isThe young staff waiting tables are happy, smiley, courteous and very welcoming and after a very short wait our menus arrived, our drinks order was taken and served with our food order following shortly afterwards. We went for two fresh orange juices and a pot of tea for one and the mini breakfast (with our own slight twist on the items included which were very easily accomodated with no inconvenience), the pancakes with bacon and blueberries and the French Toast. It was difficult to pick from a very full menu with lots of very tasty sounding optionsThe food came piping hot and very fresh and tasty. If I had a criticism it was with the French Toast dish which was, literally, one piece of French Toast with a small pot of fruit coulis and a small pot of maple syrup which was all very tasty but seemed a small portion for the price so, perhaps, two slices of French Toast would have been better and/or some summer fruits. None of this detracts from the quality of the food, however, which was to a very high standardThis was a really pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning with family and friends and we all agreed that this was certainly a place that we would return to and would highly recommend. It's a really cool, trendy venue and, certainly, a very popular cafe and rightly so

Went for what was supposed to be a quick spot of lunch. Waited over 40 minutes with our waitress serving everyone else around us whilst we waited, only to find out she hadn't taken our order. We upped and left. Honestly wouldn't bother with this place again.

Went to visit following a recommendation from a friend and wasn’t disappointed. The salad boxes are great value for the size of the portion. The service was great and will definitely be visiting again

The Oxford Road Café is a a really solid choice for breakfast/lunch in Altrincham. You can park in the nearby Sainsbury’s and walk there in 30 seconds - ideal. The menu is extensive and caters for absolutely everyone and the staff are attentive and knowledgeable. My only criticism is that it can get very noisy when full, so I always ask if we can sit in one of the upstairs booths.

We love Oxford Road Cafe. Great food and great service. We try other places in Altrincham but always end up coming back here. Keep it up!

Went here for lunch today. Their Welsh rarebit is the best. Mustard etc in the mix. Two poached eggs perfectly cooked on granary. DELISH. A large pot of tea. HEAVEN. Brilliant service. brilliant wonderful staff. All the terrible restaurants could learn from this eatery.

Popped in for lunch with my fussy 12 yr old. Had a wrap (bacon, brie and cranberry) which was great, and the BEST chips! Quick, no fuss, great food!

I visit here regularly with my son for breakfast, we both look forward to it and it was one of the things that we were looking forward to as reopening happens. It hasn’t disappointed. It’s great to see the same friendly staff serving the excellent food. The Covid restrictions are adhered to but not imposing. Well done Oxford Rd

We have seriously missed this place! Gorgeous food, so fresh and tasty and just fantastic to be back. Still a great range on the menu, lovely staff and apart form the social distancing it was like covid had never happened. Top place and so consistently fabulous

The new Owners are lovely .. the sandwiches are well priced and packed with filling.. Hot food changes daily and sweet treats made daily .. Banana bread is the BEST.

Family of 5 had a burger takeaway. Everybody said what great burgers and chips! Ordered online for collection which was straight forward and allowed to add or take away items with ease. Selected time to pick up and completed order. Within 2 minutes had a polite call asking if they could push back 15mins, I much prefer to be told than get there and have to wait. Collection was on time and as usual in these times COVID measures in place. Price was reasonable and the portions a good size for a hungry family.Highly recommended.

Love ORC. Food is always tasty, fresh and beautifully presented. They do takeaway as well as eat in, and we regularly get lunch here. Plenty of options on the menu, friendly staff, excellent quality food, good value for money, highly recommended.

I am so happy this place exists- the staff are excellent - my dog is allowed to come ( they are very nice to him) and the food is delicious. I personally would sophisticate the boa buns up a bit I feel like my katsu chicken bun needed a bit more excitement. I would probably add a little more verity for healthy sugar free drinks too like maybe a Kambucha ;) or bring the smoothies back tho. Still - a great place to eat.

We visited the cafe on Saturday and it was very busy. Service was a little slow but when the food came it was worth the wait. One of the waitresses apologised for the delay, which we appreciated, even though it wasn’t anything she could control. My son was really happy with his lunch and that is always a sign of approval. It was our first visit and we will return but maybe at a different time. Thank you.

Love this place and first time back since covid. They have taken some table out, have a text system to let you know when your table is ready. Food seemed even nicer having had a few months away. You will not regret a trip here I can assure you of that!

Came in for breakfast, friendly service and sat down immediately. The venue is small though so a table is not guaranteed at busy times. The menu is huge and breakfast is served all day. I had an omelette with peppers and ham which was lovely, just right. There were plenty of other options on the menu. The value is good although not great and in particular, the size of my coffee for what I paid for it was quite a lot. Still good overall though and a great place for breakfast.

I took my family for lunch to celebrate my nieces 18th Birthday. The staff & food were excellent, fantastic menu . I asked if they would mind if i brought a birthday cake along & they were more than happy to oblige. They brought the cake to the table with candles lit & sang happy Birthday .

We often visit ORC on a Sunday morning. We were so excited when we heard that they were opening for collection and delivery. We have collected breakfast every Sunday since and it has been to the high standard that it always is. It is always piping hot and the portions are huge. Thank you for making our amazing weekend breakfast ORC!

Great food but a long wait for a table. Turned up at 1:00pm on Saturday afternoon looking for a table for 5 plus a high chair. We were told it would be 20 minutes so we waited, and waited. It was 40 minutes before a table was available. So by the time we ordered and we’re served it was close to 1 hour 20 minutes after arriving. This is not anyone’s fault - clear success brings problems for the diner!The food is excellent but the table arrangements are geared towards couples not 4+ family groups.

Great food - I got the special of sweet potato waffles with popcorn chicken and bacon which was amazing. So much choice on the menu too (big portions too!). And friendly staff!

So placed a quick order to collect and as you can see price clearly states for scrambled eggs salmon and spinach is 7.50. I was argued with and told that it's never been 7.50 and then well they don't know what it says on the website. WTF. Not a huge issue but it was work breakfast order so paid some cash and some through myself but just didn't like the way I was spoken to. Food was good.

I go here regularly, once a week at least. Always great quality food. Clean, fresh and great for breakfast lunch or tea!
