Great find - best coffee I've had in Glasgow - they really know what they are doing here with the coffee. I've tried many rated coffee shops and this surpasses all by quite a way. The offered pastries were also very good. A must visit in Glasgow - you will not be disappointed..

We've been going to Outlier for a while now, and have previously left a review raving about the place, but the last two visits haven't been great... primarily down to the very poor and slapdash service. It's very much a venue for the young hipster crowd, and the last couple of visits have noticed that it's very much a social hub for staff and their friends... lots of hugs, standing around having chats, preferential treatment and service for friends ('you get iced water because you're special!?') and if you're not one of the crowd, you're treated without care or attention. There doesn't seem to be any defined roles for the service team, it's a mess. Counter service is woefully slow and when it's busy there's a real lack of urgency about anything, most of the staff are too busy swanning around in a bit of a daze. Only on Saturday, after waiting nearly 20 mins for our order to be taken (despite two members of staff seeing that we were still waiting and the woman next to us waited as long) our order was taken and within 2 mins he was back as he'd forgotten our coffee order (maybe write it down?), he then saw that a knife was dirty and said he'd come back with a clean one, he didn't. We asked for one of the sandwiches to be cut when we ordered it, it arrived uncut, so it had to go back into the kitchen. We then had to ask for a replacement knife and it didn't even register that he had taken the other away and was supposed to come back with a clean one! The toilets are having the slowest makeover ever. They've been a mess for months, the lighting in one is so poor you can barely see what you're doing in there. It's a real shame because the food at Outlier is superb, great value and always very tasty. My other half has refused to ever go back, he feels like we're treated with contempt and that our money is just as good as the 'in crowd' but we get a second class service. The management team really need to sharpen up their act. You're a food outlet not a social hub for your staff's friends.

This is one of the best breakfast spots ever. I have never had a better scrambled eggs! I suggest ordering the scrambled eggs on sourdough. I added oyster mushrooms and they were a delicious addition. The atmosphere is cool and modern. I would go back without question!

Kicking around London Road, Glasgow on a Thursday morning in need of some breakfast and this funky cafe with wafts of fresh coffee and delicious bacon first caught my nose and then my eye, my stomach rumbled, it was time to venture in Outlier. Staff are incredibly cool, welcoming and friendly. I opted for the scrambled eggs on homemade/baked sourdough bread with bacon from the menu. Honestly, these have to be the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had and the smokey bacon delicious. Decor is really cool at the Outlier Cafe, the venue spacious, there’s cakes and goodies out on display which are highly tempting, an open kitchen where you can watch your food being cooked, ambiance is laid back with music playing at a nice background level with the sound of chatter giving the place a lively yet cosy atmosphere. Loved the fish shaped jugs of water, such a very cool touch and feature. I’m more than happy to recommend the Outlier Cafe, I’ll certainly be back again to try more of the offerings on their interesting menu.

A great breakfast place I would highly recommend. I had the poached eggs and rosti with sage & cumin my friends had the scrambled eggs with tarragon butter. The coffee was great and the service was truly excellent - the waiter really sold his city very well

I had the best, creamy cappucino in the city! I also had an amazing cinnamon swirl. Although the kitchen only opens at 9, it is always great to start the morning with something sweet!

Restaurant closed. No sign of life. Was after opening time. Tables and chairs not yet out. Saw someone else walk away too so that's more than just me they missed out on.

The Brel in Ashton Lane in Glasgow is a place that strikes you first and foremost for its atmosphere. Located in one of the most particular streets of the city, it offers a welcoming and refined environment, perfect for a relaxing evening in company. Prices are average, especially considering the area. Overall the experience is worth it.

Stumbled up on this after a long day as we parked our car right next to it. Big band - I can't believe the experience and Talent. A far too well kept secret The audience is quite mature but please do not let it stop you I can't comment on food as we just wanted to pop in to listen to a song. We were already late for a booked dinner. 20 min later we were still there, spell bound, I am sorry to say that we were the rudest customers EVER and do not even have drink. I assure you will make up for this. We will be back for a meal and with time, friends and energy. This is awesome. Do check it out. Even if you are not into big band and it's a dying art what you see there. Watch people deliver gold! I have no idea why this place was not full. The owner, staff and musicians deserve your presence, this has been so rewarding.
