We have visited on a couple of occasions and it has always been quiet in the time we visited. We ordered some lattes, food and cakes on our last visit. The food was great and the cakes were really tasty. We felt let down though, as one of the lattes we ordered was only 2/3 full when delivered. We did point this out and asked for it to be topped up, the lady took the cup away and brought it back looking exactly the same...... disappointing.

I went there with two housemates from my nearby home, and had a berry fruit tea with a malt loaf tea-bread.

I’m delighted to say that I’ll be photographing weddings at the beautiful Rockbeare Manor in 2025 and 2026. This venue has long been on my list of dream locations to work at, and it’s easy to see why. With its elegant interiors, beautifully landscaped grounds, and unique features, it promises to provide a magical setting for any wedding. Having read so many glowing reviews about the attentive staff and the impeccable service they offer, I’m confident that my couples have chosen the perfect place for their big day. I’m counting down the days until I can capture their love stories at Rockbeare Manor and create lasting memories in such an extraordinary setting. Best regards, James Clarke (Just James Wedding Photography).

This is out 3rd visit to Sandymouth. We spent Christmas week here and also came in Feb half term. The accommodation is lovely the place was warm even in a storm and also clean The staff couldn't be more helpful.. The food in the cafe/restaurant is what you would expect at the price. Portions sizes are good. The pool is small and the changing facilities need some love but in the winter it's quiet and we often had the pool practically to ourselves. Heads up though in the Feb half term the sessions booked up so quickly we didn't get one swim so worth booking asap. Also we booked several kids activities. Some are for groups and in the dead of winter don't run if there isn't a big enough group but those that did run were fun and gave me (single parent) a break while I sat close by and drank a coffee. The staff are enthusiastic and seemed to enjoy running the sessions even if there was only my child. I certainly couldn't imagine enjoying this site at the height of the summer, even in Feb it was as busy as I can manage. But if you don't mind that then it's a great option for a family holiday.
