My wife booked here for my birthday, what a lovely restaurant lovely atmosphere, great service and brilliant food and not massively overpriced, top marks will be going again,

Looking forward to a meal out together, however it wasn't as good as expected. They brought out the wring dish with a joke as an apology "the chef forgot his glasses" had to watch my partner enjoying his until mine turned up! When it did it was very uninspiring in all honesty

Christian was amazing his service was superb. The food is absolutely fantastic amd beautifully cooked..highly recommended

Absolutely lovely Italian restaurant. Lovely decor, wine galore….. Food amazing the waitress attentive even though it was getting busy.. we was celebrating our wedding anniversary and definitely not disappointed in any way whatsoever

My wife and I arrived in Stratford on a weekday evening after a long days travel. A search for "nearest Italian restaurant to me" found this osteria a short walk away from where we were staying. We received a warm and relaxed welcome. The service was attentive but not overly so and proceeded at a gentle pace which was just what we needed! We both had the delicious minestrone soup for starters My wife had Casarecce alla Calabrese -the delicious sauce included Italian sausage and peppers - for main. I had a succulent and spicy pepperoni pizza. Both meals were cooked from fresh We shared a Tiramisu for dessert The price was very reasonable for one of the best restaurant meals we have eaten for a long time

Very disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. Firstly, no confirmation of booking given by email, had to ring to verify. Initially, all well at the restaurant, but the table I had requested in the email had obviously been overlooked or ignored and no acknowledgement of my granddaughter’s birthday, again mentioned in the email Adequate starters, but then the major disaster came when a chicken dish was found to be completely raw. Not pink completely uncooked. This was returned to the restaurant immediately and, I am told that the chef walked out indeed we saw him do this. This put us all off our meals and certainly spoiled the evening. My pasta dish with fruit de mare was devoid of any scallops. This was mentioned and we were not charged for either the raw chicken dish or my pasta dish. Sadly, though the damage was done and the evening spoiled. I’m just incredulous that this faux pas can occur in this day and age. Uncooked chicken being served to a customer. We were given bland apologies by the owner? Manager? And all this occurred at 5.30pm! Sadly, we will not be returning to this restaurant once bitten, twice shy.

Went for pre theatre dinner. Did not book. They were efficient but didn’t feel rushed. Friendly staff, food was delicious and not expensive. So much better than your regards chain Italian. We are veggie and had bruschetta, Fresh pasta, a pizza and the affogato and it was all amazing. The affogato was with baileys and pistachio ice cream and was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten for a long time. Would highly recommend

Went for an evening meal out, I had the calamari starter, was really over cooked and chewy, had the seafood platter for main and was so disappointed for the price, the prawns were lovely, but the scallops were chewy and over cooked and so was the lobster, the lobster was near inedible it was that chewy, service was good and waitress was friendly, my other half had the prawns as a starter and a pizza for main and she enjoyed hers which is why I gave 3*

Awful!! My friend cut into a raw chicken breast!! The waiter was very attentive and apologetic however it shouldn’t happen in any restaurant. I don’t know how it gets 4.5 stars! My steak was like rubber and hardly edible. We had margaritas at the beginning which were bright blue! Overall it was pretty poor and we won’t be returning.

Visited this restaurant twice during our short stay in Stratford and was impressed by the quality of the food, friendly professional service and reasonable prices. A lovely traditional Italian restaurant. Highly recommended.

This a great Italian near the town centre. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and were surprised to see it was very quiet, as the food is always superb and freshly cooked to order (as we were seated not far from the kitchen window.) The veal and sauce I had was the best I’ve ever tasted, with succulents meat and a very flavoursome sauce. There were also a selection of very tasty specials and we would also recommend the sea bass and cheese cake. We’ll definitely be back.

You wouldn't know this restaurant is there, but now that I stumbled across it, it's one of my favourites - and in my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in Stratford-upon-Avon. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the décor is very nice. It's a fine-dining experience at a very affordable price range! It also has many good vegetarian options.

Food terrible - Carbonara bone dry no cream or moisture Minestrone soup was a bowl of boiled water with a few chunks of veg. No pasta and no tomato. Tasteless. Staff were friendly and attentive. Pleasant ambience in restaurant . Change the chef!

First time visiting, although we both went for a veal dish, unfortunately they had no veal, so we both opted for different chicken dishes for mains. Starters of Spicy prawns and crab ‘balls’ were both amazing, and Im pleased to say both of our chicken dishes were really good, so not disappointed in our meal at all. Will definitely be on our list of go to restaurants next time we are in Stratford.

The food was good but our male waiter made derogatory remarks and was condescending. I don’t expect to experience toxic masculinity when I am going to a restaurant with my family. Spoiled an otherwise nice meal.

We had walked for most of the morning, visiting the many points of interest that Stratford offers without paying some of the hideous entrance fees in the more commercial sites, when my wife said "lunch?" We continued to walk past all of the high street eateries as we had earlier spotted this osteria in Union Street. It appealed because it was away from the busier, pricier high street premises, with a number of steps to climb into it's above street restaurant. We were shown to a table in a window, offered menus and invited to take drinks. My wife enjoyed the house white, two large glasses, and I chose the house red. Both very good. We chose two courses from the lunchtime menu, white bait and grilled chicken breast in creamy sauce for me, Pollo Gino, grilled goat's cheese and pancotti Mclanza e Scamorza for the missus. Superfood! My wife's resistance had been lowered by the time we were offered puddings, and she finished with Panna Cotta with caramel sauce. We lingered over more glasses of house wines before tottering down the steps to the street below, and set off for a brisk walk along the riverside.

I chose to try this restaurant based off all the good reviews I saw online and wow! They really weren’t wrong. Incredible food, wonderful service, and very generous portions for the price. Couldn’t fault a thing. My husband and I visit a lot of Italian restaurants and this one wiped the floor with the rest. The lasagne is to die for and the waiter was kind enough to box up our delicious mozzarella garlic bread as we couldn’t manage all of it but didn’t want to miss out! Wouldn’t hesitate to go back next time we’re in Stratford.

I booked a table for my Dad's birthday, Christian and Gino were our servers and they were amazing! Such a lovely and cheery vibe. Both servers made the experience even better with their fab personalities and table manner! Food was 5*! Honestly, will always recommend!
