Osmin's in Broxbourne

Just had a takeaway from here and if you like Thai do not order as will disappoint you massively and if you have never tried Thai do not get from here as it does not represent what Thai food can be. Really not worth the £60 spent! Khao Yai you can do better! Will not be using again!

Best Thai I’ve had for years! Particularly the Tom Yun and Calamari. Don’t miss out on dessert either the fried ice cream and Thai pancake with both great!

The food is nice although I wasn't keen on the dish I chose. The service was ok. My only criticism is the cutlery! I had no cutlery with the starters. For the mains we were provided with a fork and spoon. The spoon was that big it would not fit in my mouth. Not quite a serving spoon size but big nevertheless.

Superb food and helpful staff. This place has been on my doorstep for 2 years and cannot believe I’ve never ordered from here. They really did give a generous amount of food and meat for what was ordered. They have won a new customer tonight.

Over a year ago my friends and I had a bad experience in Osmins when we were placed on a long inaccessible table and had to pass plates up and down, plus service was bad with wrong dishes and other issues. It was very busy and they didn't have appropriate staff to cater. They didn't recompense us or give us an apology but that was last year. I went yesterday evening with three friends and it was so much better, It was mid week so much quieter with only two other tables busy. The food was excellent along with the service. There is a large vegetarian/vegan selection too. It certainly isn't cheap as it came out at £40 a head but we did have plenty of wine so that is to be expected. I hope if I return on a busy weekend evening with a large party, we still have a good meal and service.

I’ve been here twice in the Last month and I have to say “it’s been good on both occasions” Can’t remember exactly but I think it was Cho Chi chicken that I had and my wife had a Duck dish both were tremendous, well presented and tasty. The owner Susie was very welcoming with the rest of the staff. It wasn’t too costly so worth a visit, give it a try. Ta

We visited for lunch, as we were looking for some where nice to take family coming fir the weekend. The food was amazing and the lady that served us on a Friday afternoon was so charming, witty, funny and could not do enough for us, she explained the dishes and made us very welcome. We booked for the family for the Saturday evening. Atmosphere you could not fault, decor and comfort lovely. You are not packed in like sardines, to sum up, perfect.

visited for the first time and will be going back, the staff are really nice & friendly, restaurant was clean & spotless but most importantly the food was superb.

Small but friendly restaurant. Good service and reasonably priced. We ordered dishes then shared. Food was lovely and we enjoyed every dish. Would return.

Everything frozen. Not one bit authentic. Filth if u appreciate tai food don’t go here🙈. Really was crap. I can actually cook Thai better myself. Staff were nice that about it this restaurant will last 5 minutes

This is the first time I have given a local restaurant a negative review. On 4th January, myself, husband and six friends had a really bad experience at Osmin's and since that evening, have given the restaurant ample opportunity to make amends, which has not happened. We were upstairs and our table was one of several large long tables, squashed together so tightly, there was no room for waiters to get behind our chairs and we had to literally serve each other by passing plates and glasses backwards and forth. At the end of the table, I was continually under a mountain of glasses and plates that the staff ignored until asked to remove. One of our starters, didn't come up until everyone had finished. Three 'sizzling' main dishes were not 'sizzling' and not even hot and had to be returned to be heated up. My soft tail crab was missing of any crab apart from a sad looking single leg, so I returned it. One salmon dish, was off the menu and we weren't told until all the other food was served so there was a delay in changing it to a sea bass. The sticky rice bowls were inedible, hard lumps. When the bill came, they didn't even take off the crab dish cost. We paid around £300 for this meal and when my husband, quietly complained about how awful it was, we were told they were short staffed and the owners weren't there to respond. So in other words, they wouldn't consider a reduction of the bill to make up for an awful evening, for good customer service. If the owner isn't there, someone should be in a position of authority to deal with these situations. I then wrote a civil letter to the manager, outlining the evening's events. I took it in and gave it to her by hand rather than cause a scene in front of other customers. I had no response and after two weeks I sent a message on Facebook. Her reply in a nutshell was to thank me for my feedback and she would be speaking to the staff. That goes nowhere to redressing the situation and I responded saying she should have at least offered a discount so we could come again and see that the staff had indeed shaped up. Again, no response and that is why I am writing this review.

Wonderful Thai cuisine, so clean and fresh with attentive and friendly staff. We shall most definitely return.

First visit and will be followed by many more. The ambience and food were all excellent. The staff were welcoming and attentive.
