Cheshunt Tandoori in Broxbourne

Nothing special and expensive. Two of us dined in. We had one starter, two main courses, we shared a rice, one side dish and a Keema Nan. Two diet cokes and that came to £60. The food was ok, there's not a lot else I can say. Albeit I won't be visiting again.

Always order my food from here never had a bad meal! Always got tasty and quick delivery. Great little takeaway

Came to this restaurant today with a big group of phd students. We were all so impressed by the extremely good and friendly service, the generous amount of food (I mean huge amount of food - we all needed to take away the rest we couldn't fit in our stomachs) for such a small prize. I was especially happy as I am vegan and the waiters recommended me the vegan option I had - the food was delicious! Can highly recommend this place. They also have really cute antique looking plates.

Pre ordered meal and came 90 minutes early. Meat in three separate dishes was overcooked and tough. Have used this restaurant since it first opened but I think it’s time for a change. Discounts are great but the food has to be right as well.

Great specialities and great variety of sides for authentic mix. Good portion size. The best eatery in cheshunt!

Food seems to have gone down hill in terms of taste and quality. Chicken Tikka Massala was tough n chewy n the source was very watery as oposed to what used to be a rich creamy red tasty sauce from the same place... No where near as good as it used to be... Last time we use this place.

Always getting orders wrong. Told me to make the order right would take 25-60 minutes. When they are 5 minutes down the road and the original order was made and delivered within 15 minutes. Total waste of time ordering from here.

Really disappointed. No taste at all. Wrong dish delivered which was replaced but took half an hour to do so meaning everything else was cold. The staff were nice but doesn’t save the meal unfortunately.

Thought order was missing but had removed it when adding more, guy on phone sorted quickly, so sorry! Food was great, can't believe other reviews said bland! Even catered to request to make curry extra spicy, pleased with mid week treat

Just had the misfortune of having a delivery tonight….absolutely vile food completely bland and tasteless gone rapidly downhill in my opinion won’t be using them again .

Whether it's eating in or Takeaway. The food is always outstanding. Never had any trouble with my Takeaway orders either.

Food was terrible. I ordered different dishes but all were the same. Not a good experience

The rice was ok and the saag aloo was ok but the two curries I ordered tasted exactly the same. CHEFS SPECIAL. Korai and chicken Dupiaza. Definitely won’t order from here again. I can go to cheaper and more local places and get better dishes.

Chicken was tough. Plain rice delivered instead of pilau.

Was full by the time we finished with tasty food and good beer. Not overly full but had a friendly atmosphere. Will go back in near future

Honestly, this place, last time I went they wouldn’t let me take the food home with me! This time they were so rude when I questioned them charging for pickles! We had to leave! We went up the road to a much warmer welcome! Avoid!

The chicken wasn’t cooked properly and the restaurant didn’t answer my calls

Rice was watery, onion bhajis were flat and also cold! The poppadoms were burnt and crispy so couldn’t eat them so that was also a waste of money!! I don’t expect this from a restaurant with a high review rating!

I asked for delivery for 6pm as my husband was out but it was delivered at 5:30 so it was cold by the time he got home.

I was sent the wrong item in my order I asked for chicken and got sent lamb and when they redelivered after ages the piece of chicken sent was the most poorest awfull chicken I've ever seen not cooked properly and hardly no meat probably because I complained and my onion bargees were so well done I couldn't eat them. I'm not happy after paying what I did.

First time trying Cheshunt Tandoori - lovely tasting food, not oily and even got an extra poppadom and mint chutney! Only criticism is the food temp could be hotter, otherwise will definitely order again. Thanks!

Honestly you ain’t getting a better place than Cheshunt tandoori, I called them restaurant just after my order to ask them to add a bit more heat my dish, told them I want it as hot as a madras and it came perfect, best takeaway in Cheshunt hands down

Delivery was early (20 minutes) which was not ideal as the misses was not due home until the requested delivery time. Food was lovely though and the delivery guy was friendly and apologetic about being early. One of the best curries ordered on just eat, will definitely be ordering from them again.

Everything was good however sadly the food was overly sweet and was difficult to eat, everything else was great though, could have been a one off.

We had a takeaway delivered and it was awful !! Without any doubt the worst takeaway we've ever had. The chicken tikkka masala had a very odd taste to it, the chicken was very undercooked and the whole meal was disgusting. The onion Bhaji has changed ( now flat rather than rounded) and had no taste to it at all. We always used Cheshunt Tandoori in the past as it used to be the best, but they've clearly got a new 'chef' and the food as gone from 10/10 to 0/10. !! We ended up throwing it away... NO MORE CHESHUNT TANDOORI FOR US !!

Ordered a takeaway, everything was over done,, probably cooked hours beforehand. Certainly not fresh. Will not be returning…..ever, I generally never leave reviews, but had to on this occasion.

Well, the food was delicious but we were greeted at pick up location by a rude driver who informed us they don't normally deliver to boats and we should have told them (I had), then rather optimistically said that next time we order we'll need to collect. Call me crazy, but with so many curry houses around we'll probably choose one that doesn't treat us like second class citizens.

ordering here for months but standard has significantly nose dived, Rice is stale felt like yesterday rice microwaved to save cost, salad was more out dated then my wallpaper, personally think I have a better chance in winning the lottery with cheshunt Tandoori consistency

I tasted their lamb birany and it was excellent. Nice tidy indian restarent and staff are friendly. Whenever I go cheshunt I try to go their restarent for dinner.

Pilau rice and garlic naan good, but the worst chicken tikka massala I've ever had. It was absolutely tasteless - all I could taste was cream, no seasoning at all, in what can only be described as a korma without coconut, or "chicken tikka tasteless". The garlic naan was tasty though.

Thought we'd give it another go n order a takeaway, despite our last one tasting awful. Wishe we hadn't!! It was bland, tasteless, expensive and the chicken tikka chewy ! Absolutely awful, NEVER AGAIN now ! All the years we've been using them and been prepared to pay their higher than most prices for what used to be the best Indian, around , not any more we won't. Overpriced awful food. Bring back the original chef you had that built your reputation for you, before there's nothing left of it.

Ordered meat samosas and got vegetable ones.

Chicken tikka was tender. Dhansak was very spicy. Lamb tikka in biriyani was tender, and the rice was tasty with coriander. Only let down was Bombay potatoes, the sauce should be rich with tomatoes and spice it was very oily. But besides that it was lovely

We ate here last week whilst I was down visiting family. My relatives said it was now owned by the same people who run the Raj Vogue up the road. I have always loved the Raj Vogue but on the last 2 occasions my family have visited there the food has not been up to its usual good standard so they recommended this place. Food was great with good friendly service although it wasn't busy at the time. The decor was a little bright for me and felt much more like a cafe than a restaurant though.

Visited on a Friday night. Have visited once before on a weekday and had the set menu. The food is very nice. The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant isn’t overly expensive and the food is better than some of more expensive Indian restaurants close by.

I've been going here for years, but today's curry we had to wait and hour and 1/2 for kept phoning they kept saying it's on its way, finally gets here and it's not even hot, phoned up to complain and they started arguing with me, also curry was dry no sauce, after nearly 15 years going to this Indian, I shan't be going there again

Food was good, however the portions were small. King prawn biriyani was okay. The tandoori mix grill came sizzling and it was delicious. Staff were also friendly and polite.

Really bad takeaway from here. Food was cold, watery n not what we expected from them. Food has gone down hill, better alternatives locally. Wont go back to cheshunt tandoori.

Used to get take away food from here all the time but our last couple have been really bad ! Cold food, badly tasting and poor quality! Very poor, n clearly gone down hill! Never again!
