Had a table of 6, spent around £60 on drinks during Eng/NL game. 2 of us were driving so 1 beer each, they threw us out cos not all 6 of us had a drink! Are we 16? Well it seems most of the pub are now, not for local clientele! More like a Turkish brothel. Anyway, AVOID! Shocking beer, service and staff, I can’t believe places like this still exist! Will be open under a new name in 6months! 😱

The food was disgusting and the meat smelled and was not fresh. I entered the kitchen, everywhere was filthy and there was smoking in the cooking area.

Poor service also had to send the food back as my sea bass was very over cooked. Waited 30 minutes for food then asked them for update but they didn't seem interested, gave us cutlery is dirty pint jug. Menus were sticky and the waiters weren't interactive or very helpful at all really Definitely won't be returning and wouldn't recommend for anyone Prices are very high for where it is located and nothing about it justifies the prices

My first time visiting The Osidge Arms with friends, very friendly and welcoming. Had fantastic service from Jay! The food was great and I would definitely recommend this Pub visit for food and drinks Thank you I will definitely return again

Great food however felt the barmaid deliberately tried to rip me off. She probably didn’t expect me to challenge and she gave a poor excuse to cover her tracks. For that reason I won’t be going back. Shame as the food was amazing

A group of us visited on Saturday night for a friends 50th birthday. We paid £40 a head. I can only assume the majority of the money went towards the entertainment. What food we had was good, but portions were small. The main platter consisted of mainly chicken and chips. No rice or salad, tea, coffee or dessert. I left wishing I had eaten a bigger lunch. Staff were abrupt and did not seem familiar with the concept of customer care. If it wasn't for the friends I was with or the entertainment, I would have been totally disappointed. Not somewhere to visit if you're into your food. Let's hope they shake things up as it has great potential.

They burn their rubbish in an oil drum out the back rather than paying to take it away. Smoked out most days. Often can't open my windows. Pretty sure that's not allowed. God knows what they they are burning either. Disgusting behaviour. One of many it seems... Also really disgusting, a man walks the big dog there most nights and let's it poo on the public pavements without a care to pick it up. He looks around makes sure no one is looking and walks off with the big dog not picking any of it up. He just leaves it there for anyone to step in. Again and again I see this. Should be ashamed of themselves. Would never step foot in that place. Hate to see people leaving their dogs crap on the pavement. I've children who walk on these pavements! The only time I'd to this place is if that happened! There would be hell up indeed! Zero effort to keep their outside customers quiet after 11pm. Often broken glasses and bottles outside on the public pavements and roads, I expect zero effort to clean this up either. Often walking and kicking it into the bushes out of harms way in case anyone fell on it. Especially my kids or anyone else's. Broken glass and dog poo over and over for the local community. Says a lot about what people they must be. Haven't even been there yet after all the years of seeing this. Very much doubt I'll ever go to this place or suggest anyone to go there. Sorry but needs saying. Living opposite seeing what goes on is such a massive put off. Shame, lovely looking place, shouldn't be this way.

Well this place never fails to please ,,lovely decor fantastic service and the variety of foods on the buffet side where there is a wide selection of Turkish foods and bottomless Turkish tea ,lovely attentive staff ,,hot foods available to order . Well, I am writing this negative review because today I went there to get some food and watch the football. I got there and sat down I was about to look at the menu when the owner rudely came up to me and shouted get out I don’t think he could understand English very well and told me to get out, the reason I think he told me to get out was because I’m 17 but at the age of 17 you are allowed to go into a pub on your own I wasn’t going to buy achol I was going to watch the football and eat. I was treated bad and it took me 20 minutes to get there waste of time Worst pub I have ever been too Do not go if your aged 17 because for some reason you get treated very bad

There are many fine Turkish restaurants in North London, This is not one of them. We did consider leaving once we had seen the menu, but stayed.

We went there on fathers day. Booked a table for 12pm. When we got there we got told to wait another 15 minutes. We sat down with our plates. Went up and got the buffet. We then tried ordering the Turkish sausage with eggs. Gozleme and pide. The waitress was serving people who came before us which we found kind of rude. Once we ordered it look them about 40 minutes for our food to come. People who came after us got there food first. Once I got my food I found egg shells in it. We tried complaining the the waitress wouldn't listen. She was more interested on her phone walking into the office. I've tried complaining on Instagram but they seem to read my messages but refuse to reply back to me.

I had my birthday party here on 11 /04/19 I had worse experience ever in my life for the service I received, foods has been cold and they never served the food according to the agreement we had. They promised decoration and never done it however they declined too refund the money back according to the agreement food was not enough we tried to be honest with them we paid upfront and they didn’t allow us to talk about the deal afterwards the managers was treating us within the bad attitude please bare in mind to have deal with them.

I had my son birthday party, according to the agreement we had we didn’t received the service, food served as could as it way my sons birthday we agreed to have chicken nuggets which is his favourite and we couldn’t get at the end as it was the first food we decided. They mentioned to refund the money back if the number of people was less than 25 we had 17 guest and they have not refunded our money back which caused me problems. I had my worse experience with this place and I would never recommend this place.

Ayer tuve el cumpleaños de mis hijas. . Tuve una experiencia horrible. Reservé su jardín para todo el día también cuando reservé nunca me dijeron que no podía traer mi propia comida. Mi hija es muy alérgica a las nueces, incluso la comida contaminada es realmente peligrosa. Así que traje el mío. cuando nos presentamos ante el propietario del lugar, comenzamos el argumento de que "¿cómo podemos traer comida aquí? ¿Qué crees que es ahora? Necesitas pagarme más". Cuando dijimos que esto no es aceptable, deberías haber dicho esto en el proceso. Luego dijo que me pagaras el doble o te devolviera tu dinero y te marcharas. Este lugar varias veces, ya que es local. Es una pena que tiene una atmósfera tan horrible, y el dueño es un grosero e irrespetuoso persona que sólo se preocupa por el dinero. Claramente no es un lugar que funciona en orgullo y cliente disfrute de la comida y el servicio. Las pintas son caros para la zona y las normas de higiene de los alimentos como un chef compañeros han ido por la ventana. Si yo fuera tú me gastaría mi dinero en cualquier otro pub o restaurante.

A large group of us visited here for lunch. No one enjoyed the meal.

Menus were confusing.. Different prices on two different menus. Had a lamb shish wrap but the meat was horrible. Service was terrible. Looks really unhygienic and grubby. Do not eat here

3 of us went for lunch we had some dips to start and 3 chicken shish we had couple of drinks each and bill was £45 great value good food

The service and food was terrible. We had to call for service to get the menus. After ordering, the food took a good hour to arrive and the three meals came out separately with a substantial time delay between the meals. The salmon and prawn shish was overcooked. It wasn't edible. Reported this and was offered another meal. Was told it would take about 10mins to make another one so accepted it. We had to remind them several times before the meal arrived after about 40mins. It again arrived overcooked but without the sauce it was meant to come with. Requested the sauce several times and was told it was on its way! We were in the restaurant two hours and still hadn't had the sauce to my dish and the food wasn't edible. The vegetables to the lamb shank were overcooked. In fact, they looked stewed they were overcooked so much. Despite telling the staff several times about the food, we were ignored. We felt insulted in the way we were treated. We eventually paid the bill less the cost of one meal, which was removed. However, they did not attempt to put anything right, despite my explanation in regards to the unsatisfactory quality of the food, the service and our experience which was meant to be a mothers day outing.

Debo decir que es uno de los primeros restaurantes de estilo bufé que he estado en el REINO UNIDO y la verdad me encantó el concepto. Me encanta la variedad de comida que estaba disponible para elegir, tienes la opción de pedir otras cosas como huevos o pide Pizza turca (estilo). En general, el personal es amable y la comida es estupenda. La tarta que compraron y cantaron feliz cumpleaños para mí, lo que hizo mucho más agradable. Sin duda volveremos.

Open buffet breakfast served on sunday for a reasonable price, including unlimited Turkish tea. Availability of authentic turkish pide is a plus. The tables and sitting places aren't amazingly clean and the place is lit poorly. Food looks and tastes OK. Overall, nothing particularly special but could be good for occasional visits.

I want to like this place because I have previously eaten decent food there, before I discovered the poor hygiene rating (it’s a 2 - improvement necessary) Since I have had a baby these things are now more important to me and I wouldn’t risk it again. I feel bad enough that my son ate there once when he was small. I should have known better because the loos were always very dirty, as well as the bar area.

Perdido una hora de mi vida aquí. Atmósfera horrible y desagradable. Nos sentimos tan incómodos. Nos mostraron nuestra mesa y nadie vino a decirnos cómo pedir o nos dio un menú.

El desayuno buffet libre era una buena idea llevar los miembros de la familia juntos, 8 de nosotros comimos para desayunar. Que no nos dijeron nada sobre la fecha de llegada, sólo que era ilimitada, no sabía que también podía pedir sucuk yumurta (salchichas y huevos turco y amigo en un pan) de la mesa al final nos dijeron y ordenados. También nos preguntaron si queríamos Pizza turca (pide) que también llegó con el huevo y coberturas de salchichas. Habría sido agradable haber tenido algo más. El video en su página de Facebook mostró mayor variedad sin embargo, la comida era deliciosa. Tienes que pagar extra por las bebidas excepto agua y té.

Estuvimos allí para la celebración de Año Nuevo. Todo estaba bien hasta 24 horas después de nuestra visita al lugar. Estábamos 12 personas y 10 de nosotros hemos tenido una intoxicación alimenticia. No hay higiene. Todos nuestros amigos y los niños han sido los vómitos y la diarrea. No están aceptando su culpa, pero seguiré comentando para asegurarse de no conseguir estos insectos onelse

On Saturday I held a small party for my son's 18th birthday in the room at side of The Osidge Arms, we had a nice evening but I shall not be returning here.I really liked the function room and when I first made an enquiry the owner said he was happy for us to have it for free because of a mutual contact and because he would make money on the bar (which he certainly did).. The next day he backtracked and wouldn't commit because he was holding out for a better offer. Then a week before the party, and with no bigger booking, he agreed that we could use it. This should have rung alarm bells but it was too late by then, plus I liked the room. He said he would provide a meze with kebabs plus pizzas for the kids and I believed him and we shook hands.However on the night the meat dishes he promised me never materialised. I paid £500 for a small amount of food, nothing like the quantity I was expecting and mainly consisting of some dips and pides (thin Turkish pizzas with minced meat that no one liked). To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The thing that disgusts me the most is that when I tried to speak to Ozzy directly to ask him where the kebabs were he wouldn't see me. He hid himself away the entire evening because he knew he was in the wrong. Plus there were male guests in the room at this point.Ozzy also became very aggressive and shouted at my friend when we went in on the Friday, seeming to resent the fact that he was letting us use the room at all. I would never recommend this place, but if you should decide to use it you will find the more money you have the nicer he will be. And whatever you do make sure you get everything in writing, so you don't get ripped off. It turns out that Ozzy wasn't doing me any favours after all. It's like he cut back on the food and stuck a room hire charge on without telling me. This has been an eye opener and next time I organise an event I won't be so laid back and trusting.

I booked a table for a Sunday lunch for 5.oo over the bank holiday weekend having looked at pictures and reviews. However as soon a we walked in it was dirty, shabby and just plain rough. It was noisy with people watching football, we sat at a table which was chipped and nasty and the chairs were the same. We were given a menu which is Turkish food but chose the "All day Sunday roast". only to be told they had run out! Having spent £10 in cab fares to get there I then had to pay another £10 to go somewhere decent. The cooking area is on display and resembles a kebab shop. Terrible.

Great afternoon in the sun drinking beer and eating lovely authentic Turkish food. Huge portions to share with my partner but very tasty. Would, and have recommended to friends.

Went recently with my partner for a quick drink after a long morning. Its pretty obvious to me that they have no idea what they are doing. Family members wander about the place as if it was their own home, oblivious to customers and the fact this is supposed to be a place of business. The girl behind the bar was lovely, polite and very helpful, but I could feel her embarrassment as she told me the Tetley's was off, and when I returned the disgusting pint of Brahma I had ordered. I was then given a pint of cobra which was totally flat and also eggy tasting, but at this point I felt too awkward to tell her.It doesn't take a brew master to realise that they don't bother changing their barrels or clean their taps regularly. This family would probably run a fantastic cafe or tea house in Istanbul, but they have no clue how to run a big beautiful pub in London, which is a shame, because I like the idea of a Turkish inspired pub. I'm sure there are far better examples elsewhere. The best bit was the chalkboard outside the pub on Osidge Lane, which read "Turkish breakfast, 10am- 14pm". Hilariously, that sums up this place perfectly. Avoid!

We went for breakfast in the morning and it was a open buffet style pick and choose so we thought we are the first ones in everything would be fresh it was nasty cold reheated food from day before the cheese was old and dry the feta cheese was off the bread was old I can actually say it's the worst breakfast in have ever had in my life I would not recommend this place to no one i come home and was feeling unwell it took me a few days to recover.

This pub has a friendly owner, staff, great food and even entertainment for kids - jumping castle - so you can sit and watch a screen. It has a bg garden with 2 TV, inside 2 as well. Great for fotball matches. we enjoy every time.

Not really sure what this place is trying to be, but worse of all, I fear the owners feel the same. Is it a boozer serving English roasts, a Meze bar, pizzeria or party venue??? I am of the opinion that you cannot do everything and do it well. This place epitomises that notion. I got so confused by everything happening and never quite knowing what you would be walking into next, that I stopped going in the end.

This is now my only local pub and it is a very hit and miss affair.It's a confusing mishmash of everything. Is it a pub? Or a restaurant? A bit of both? It's quite an oddity these days. It's like five or six people put their ideas forward of what to do with the place and they did all of them. Decor is odd and they seem to be trying to accommodate everyone, so you get half the clientele eating and another half possibly watching football, although it's not a comfortable place to watch a game as the seating layout is as much of a mishmash as everything else.Drinks are overpriced but the food seems ok. Not the most welcoming of staff but it's ok to pop in for a pint now and then. It's just all a bit odd.I suppose there's not enough restaurant only trade and not enough trade for it to be just a pub.However, having said all the above, if we don't use it, it will go and we'll end up with a Tesco Express or a Mcdonalds Drivethru, which the guys that own it now saved us from before so although it's quirky and a bit off kilter, it's worth local support and to be fair, it probably is more hit than miss.Their selection of beers is a bit more imaginative than most with Staropramen and Birra Moretti both on tap, as well as the usual pub favourites like Stella Artois.It's worthy of local support for sure. Just hope it's a hit occasion when you visit.

The venue looked very nice with its wooden interior and big windows but unfortunately the management are unable to cope for big events such as 100 plus heads. Two members of staff rushed off their feet running around like headless chickens as guests were wanting plates and cutlery for the starters/dips as these were not on the tables. Tablecloths were not available for the event as they needed ironing as they were laundered from the previous night's event. The host had to iron them in the end. The buffet lacked variety and the rice was raw. Food ran out by the time the rest of the guests got to the buffet and also people had to wait for more plates and cutlery. There was an area where there was no lighting so people were eating in the dark when asked why there was no lights they just said the lights were broken! All in all the event was successful because the host had a good DJ and the host had decorated it beautifully.

Big portions but I am not sure about the quality. A crowd of overindulging punters talking very loudly in the restaurant side and another crowd of football fans in jogging trousers cursing and shouting at the TV at the other side. We were having lunch and watching an Arsenal game happened to be on TV. One of the chefs came out of the kitchen, changed the Channel to a Turkish one, watched a Galatasaray game for five minutes and went back to the kitchen paying no attention to us. Beer selection is very poor.

A lot of the breakfast was not fresh, poor quality food and so oily. I have heard and seen fantastic reviews but obviously my taste is different. A lot of staff but not much action. I was meant to be a mind reader to know you can order certain hot breakfast items and bread, the must have for a Turkish breakfast. I so hope people do not think this is what a good Turkish breakfast is, as it certainly was not my definition of good. Staff were friendly enough and helpful when approached but never checked to see if anything we needed etc... £10 plus extra for an awful Coffee, needless to say I think this place will phase out in time, due to poor quality.

Often pop in here for a drink and 'healthy chicken shisk kebab' as within walking distance, good value for money and can sit outside when weather permits

We hired out the beautiful function room at the Osidge Arms for our daughter's christening party at the weekend and cannot thank the owners and all the staff on the day for their help in making the party go so well! They were all so accommodating and helpful it meant we could relax and enjoy the party ourselves as everything was being taken care of. Our guests all commented how pretty the venue looked and we'll definitely be recommending you and returning for future events! Thank youuuuuuuu!!

We were at this pub this morning with the familly. The food was great the service was good and due to mothers day the vibe was nice.

This used to be just a pub but now it is a restaurant serving Turkish food. The food here is incredibly reasonably priced for what you get and every time I've eaten here I've been so happy with what I've had. The breakfast here is really good too, very authentic! The only thing is, the pub part still exists where lots of older pub dwellers it and there are TV's with sports on so feel the pub/restaurant lacks an identity. It;'d be nice to go to a restaurant with a bar but it definitely doesn't have a bar feel to it - which is a shame. They should do up the bar area and perhaps close half of the bar to just have it open at the top end when you first walk in. Needs a revamp and perhaps would be even nicer if they did this. Would recommend the food though to everyone!

We visited this restaurant as a group of 16 the day before Valentine's Day, so the restaurant was very busy. We had pre booked our table and opted for the £25.00 per head set menu which included cold Mezze Starters, a main of either Fish or Meat, fruit platter and one drink per person. The price also included live music.The starters were fantastic, a very good selection of authentic Turkish Mezze. The mains were a little disappointing, the quality of the Lamb meat was not great, however the chicken was delicious. Unfortunately one of the fish mains was undercooked and we had to send it back. This was dealt with very swiftly and management were very apologetic. We had taken our own Birthday cake, so we were overlooked when it came to the fruit and this never arrived. As we were all full, we didn't even prompt any member of staff about this, and I am sure if we had, this would have been remedied.The live music was ok, however, we were all a little distracted by the owner and his girlfriend/partner who were putting on a rather amorous dirty dancing display. Fun to watch, slightly embarrassing and maybe not appropriate in front of paying guests. The atmosphere was overall very good and the serving staff were attentive and eager to please despite being extremely run off their feet.Would I return, yes of course. Next time I think I would opt for the main menu as opposed to the set menu.

I have lived in the area for over 30 years and I love the Osidge Arms. I decided to try the "new" Osidge Arms for dining. I must say the food was very good, we were only surprised how good the food was because the customer service was poor. The lady serving us did not know what was on her own menu. I will reiterate the fact that the food was very good. Better service and this pub will go along way.

It is such a shame that I am writing this review as i used to be the biggest fan of the Osidge. The food and service have always been great with great value.I visited a while ago and there is new owners - the food was still good though although the service wasn't as good.Yesterday I took some friends there and the service was appalling - we waited by the restaurant section for 10 minutes and eventually asked the barmaid if food was still being served. The restaurant area was full of children and a large family who were very vocally watching a football match which was very loud. Previously the TV would be on but without volume in the restaurant.The table we were shown to was not laid and the floor was covered in food so the man tried to clean it up a bit.We were given menus and proceeded to sit there for 15 minutes - no one came and asked if we wanted a drink or if we wanted to order.We eventually stood up to leave where 2 members of staff behind the bar saw us go but never acknowledged us or said a word.I was highly embarrassed as I had told my friends about how good the place is. The service was absolutely appalling which is such a shame as my husband and i used to go here regularly as it was one of our favourite meals out. Not anymore! I have received better welcomes in famous fast food joints!

I don't think people are fully aware of the excellence and variety of food served here. I moved to North London in the Spring of this year and asked around where to eat for good fresh and exotic food and no one pointed me in the Osidge Arm's direction. Well let me do someone reading this a favour, if you want the finest Turkish, Fish, Meats, Vegetarian dishes this is your North London destination. The Chefs are amazing !! Had a Salmon & King Pawn Shish here and all I've got to say is, best caper white wine sauce EVER !!! So coming back with friends !

This place is filthy and the Turkish owners are very ruth.. It is not a child friendly pub at all!! Tables were sticky and the sits were torn apart. Some of the tables were broken and the owner accused our children that they did it.. They started to yell at us and our children got scared and started to cry.. It was a nightmare breakfast.. Do not go there!!

We have had an excellent day with great homemade food. The food is a great change from an English breakfast and you can appreciate the effort gone to to make proper homemade Turkish breakfast. Delicious life baked fresh breads and pide. A great play area / bouncey castle for the kids. Well worth a visit. Many thanks for a great day!

I visited the Osidge Arms a while ago and a little disappointed for the service and hospitality but now the new Turkish owners have changed a small local pub to a huge success. I went their for my 30th birthday, I hired their functioning room at the back I didn't know of and I got my own DJ, barmen and a waiter. The open buffet was amazing sadly we ate too much of the pide's (Turkish Pizza) but the owner was generous so we got a lot more of them. It was a family and friends occasion so there was a lot of kids running around but the owner opened a bouncy castle for them to play and there were toys for them to be distracted on, we had a lovely party! Osidge will see us again and again Thank you!

I had dinner with my wife here and we both enjoyed the food service and atmosphere. For starters we had Lamachun (the best I have ever had) , spicy sausage and good size prawns in a lovely sauce. All served with complementary fresh Turkish bread and salad. For mains we had a Kofta Lamb burger, chips and some great succulent lamb chops. The service is fast and friendly. Both the barman I guess he is the owner and young barmaid were friendly. The portions a large and filling. The menu is varied and something for everyone. We hope to go as a family to taste try the Sunday Buffet.

I went there last night with a group of 20 mums for a school mums' night out. When we sat down the tables were so dirty really sticky and felt really grubby. We eventually ordered and the food that arrived was mediocre at best. One mum ordered spaghetti bolognase and what arrived was spaghetti with chopped up grey, grisly looking mince meat with no sauce. She sent it back. Another mum ordered a florentina pizza and because the spinach had not been washed properly she could taste and feel grit in it. I ordered a chicken shish with rice, it looked fine and tasted ok although a bit dry and it left an unusual aftertaste in my mouth which I thought nothing of. However, that night I was up all night throwing up and I have not been able to eat nothing else all day. I feel horrendous and give this is all I had eaten all day can only assume it was the food. This place was a disaster and save yourself a visit.

Went there this evening . Service poor , food even worse. Only saving grace a young polite bar man . Dont waste your time or money

Terrible!Hardly any customers and I can see why.Asked if the spaghetti bolognese was fresh and he confirmed it was. It took 35 mins for them to deliver something that looked like rehashed defrosted meatballs and they absolutely covered it in Parmesan to hide the questionable texture without asking if I wanted Parmesan. As I dislike Parmesan and hadn't asked for it i rejected the meal. Asking what they could do quickly a pizza was recommended. Watching it being made was slightly scary but when it came it was uncooked in the middle. The diet coke I had ordered was also syrupy and undrinkable. They should sell this place to someone who knows what they are doing before they go bankrupt or make people ill.

After seeing their posts on their FB account decided to book a table for mothers day 15th March open buffet breakfast..After traveling 50miles to get there we found out our table wasn't reserved and took us 10 min to get some help.. They seemed they didn't know what they were doing.. It was very tacky atmosphere and no hygiene either.. The food they posted on FB for their open buffet breakfast was so different to actual food they displayed and all the plates were empty with little left overs and not topped up.. No pastries , no cheese, no olives nothing was left although there was another 2 hours to end the breakfast.. After informing them that they are misinforming customers on FB about the food left immediately without wasting anymore time.Next day they posted a video of mothers day open buffet breakfast and I decided to send them a msg instead of commenting the video not to embarrass them.. I explained to them exactly what happened and informed them I wouldn't recommend them to anyone with the service I received.. In return instead of being apologetic their answer was " we can't please everyone you better comment on our video on FB and not happy with your threatening attitude" I still can't believe how could someone run a business with this kind of attitude .. Very unprofessional.. They can't even handle a complaint properly..I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Went with friends for the £10 buffet brunch. From the dips, to the pizza, to the bread, to the the soup washed down with fine Turkish tea. OMG! Over indulged & struggled to do much for a short while. Great for wife who is a vegetarian. Would go again but eat in moderation so i would cenjoy it even more. Totally recommend.

Saturday & Sunday brunch for £10.00 all you can eat. So and all yummy and healthy Mediterranean style. Washed down with Turkish tea and sweets. Honestly I ate way to much, but how could you not nice atmosphere and friendly staff. If your in Southgate its a must visit. Thanks Mr Ozkan.

the worst eating experience i have had in yearseverything was slow, service was terrible, hygiene questionable, food quality baddon't gothey should sell to someone who knows what they are doing before they go insolvent

Always try to get in here for Sunday roast

After an hour and a quarter our starter finally arrived. Some of our group had been served much earlier and others had to wait even longer. Main courses were also spread out taking up to an hour after the starters. My taramasalata was runny with no texture to it. The sirloin steak was 30% gristle. The chips were dry and barely edible.All in all a dreadful experience. Only go there if you have lots of time, a low boredom threshold and atrocious taste in food. They forgot to bring my wife's drink until she asked for it again.

It was lunch time, we wanted something to eat and drink. Managed to find a space in the car park. But it was the smell of cooking oil that forced us out of the door in less than 30 seconds. Nice looking dining area at one end of the bar, but the smell just put us off. No need for it these days. Some cafes smell better!

I love this restaurant, the food is really great and it's really good value.Me and my husband normally have the 2 course deal (there is also a 3 course option). The price is about £15 for 2 courses and we normally have calamari and lamb chops. The lamb chops in a lot of places are sub standard unless you want to pay through the nose for them but not here! The quality is superb.Highly recommend this place. The wait staff are really friendly too.

ordered spaghetti bolognese. Got chopped up lamb meat balls in fried spaghetti and it was spicy yea-ugh.

Went here this afternoon, not to eat but just to meet some friends for a drink. I asked for a pint of London Pride, paid £4 (expensive for that in these parts) and had the drink given to me in a Guinness glass......Looked at it, sniffed it and tried the smallest sip. Sent it back as it was like rank mud in all aspects. A second pint was poured off with the same result. I asked the bar man if it was a new barrel. He said it was so I said he needed to pull another 3 or 4 pints off to make it drinkable. He looked at me as if I was mad and said they couldn't waste that much!!!!! I asked for my money back but was told no but I could have a bottle of Old Speckled Hen for the same price. I agreed so I could at least have something. It came chilled from the fridge with an iced Fosters glass!! Never again!!

We had a very nice meal with our Wowcher deal. The spicy king prawns were tasty and the main course was well cooked, pipping hot and good portion.the service was very quick and efficient maybe as we were the only people eating there at lunchtime and had the full attention of a very charming waiter.he checked that all the food was okay and made some suggestions of what to order when the dish we wanted was not available.The dessert selection was limited and we opted for the banoffee pie which was okay and enough for two people.

I bought a Wowcher deal to visit this pub / restaurants. Upon doing the research on their website it look very luxury and high end restaurant but once arriving its just a normal pub with a restaurant. Nothing what so ever special and do not fall for the pictures in their website. You dont get to see the atmosphere as it shows. Food was very average but reasonable pricing. Service was good though but didnt enjoy the experience. Would not visit again

I have been here several times and must say that one of rare pubs I loved. It has characteristic decor and an unusual menu. I have tried grilled salmon salad, spot on. Not well done not rare but nice and juicy grilled salmon placed on fresh salad that was nicely presented. Taste was good, with the dressing it was even better. Nice relaxing environment with attentive service. Would recommed

We had a groupon voucher for a bottle of wine, two starters and a large pizza and when we were arrived were told that the pizza oven was broken... Instead they let us choose anything from the menu.. Ended up getting a hot meze sharing platter with pitta and rice. Service was very good :)

Upon arriving at this Public House which looked OK from the outside, was very surprised to find it quite tired and tatty inside. Was even more surprised with the restaurant, very unappealing, almost didn't go in!. The food was just OK nothing special. They seemed to cater for Turkish clientelle and not a lot more. Not at all what we were expecting. The waiter was very helpful and courteous, he was also the only bar tender. Definitely would not go again.

Would defiantly go back to this place, really good value for money and service is great and very friendly staff.

I have eaten in the Osidge Arms three times now and each time the food has been lovely, always hot and very tasty. I have found the service to be very good, staff are very obliging. I have taken some of my family there to eat and they loved it too. People from my office have eaten there and have all said the same about the food and service. The prices are really reasonable too, £7.95 for two courses at lunchtime and the portions are more than ample. This pub was an awful place before but now it has been revamped and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

The Osidge Arms has been our local pub for donkeys years but we have never been able to use it because it was frequented by 'types' that we had no wish to be in company with. Following it's make-over my husband and his friends decided to give it another try and were surprised at the congenial atmosphere and the food which was delicious. One of the owners, a woman, told him that they wanted to discourage the previous customers as they were aiming for a dining, not boozing clientele. With this in mind, planning a family get-together for Sunday lunch we called in this afternoon for a quick drink to check it out. Very disconcerting that directly opposite the entrance doors were a crowd of what can only be described as the old 'football' types propping up the bar and spouting the usual bad language. The barman seemed more interested in talking to them and it took some time, just as we were about to give up and leave, before he served us.We opted to sit on the sofa, but were soon joined by two little children on the sofa opposite (from the football crowd) who proceeded to throw a selection of toys around the table, they were left to their own devices without any thought for us. Basically, nothing has changed, it's still just a "boozer" and if you are looking for a really nice family pub with a fantastic atmosphere, would suggest the Cock & Dragon at Cockfosters which is where we will continue to go, even though it means we have to go a bit further but it is a class act and Osidge Arms could take some tips from them. Never again!!!

This place a has very dubious pricing policy for taste card members whereby you actually pay the price on the menu (no 50% off). We were unable to get the menu on line, but decided to go on a Sunday to the Osidge Arms for a meal. The waiter explained we had two options to choose from: the a la carte and use our taste card, or to go for the offer of 3 courses for £15. However, the catch with using a taste card is that all prices on the a la carte menu have already been discounted by a 50% offer that the pub has on anyway, which is advertised outside, so with a taste card you just pay the price shown on the menu. I queried this. There was for instance a Kebab for £11 on the a la carte menu. I asked the waiter if I buy that £11 kebab with a taste card do I pay £5.50 or £11 ? He confirmed it would be £11 as the menu was already discounted by 50%. Well, if full price is £22 then no one would ever eat here ! I asked about another item, and had the same reply with a taste card you pay what is shown on the menu.So basically with a taste card you get no discount on the prices shown on the menu. Consequently,they push you into using the 3 courses for £15 menu. My partner was happy enough as she got to have a dessert, but was then disappointed that the 'trio' of excitingly flavoured sorbets consisted of just a single flavour rather than the advertised 3. We know a lot of local families and will be advising them of our experience. It's a shame, as the interior looks so nice and it has much potential. Unfortunately, the service was slow and half hearted despite there being many staff and only a few occupied tables. We had to actively get up and find staff to serve us a couple of times. We really do try and support local businesses as we welcome any tastecard venues in our area, sadly we won't be returning in a hurry.
