This cosy cafe near the North Laines serves the best coffee in Brighton. The home made food is delicious, fresh, and different to chain cafe offerings. The banana cake today was superb and the staff are friendly and represent the ethos of the place well. Really worth seeking out, just five minutes walk from the Jubilee Library in Brighton. Places like this deserve to thrive.

Llamé el año pasado para un sándwich de tocino para llevar. Al estimar, encontró cabello largo y negro en el sándwich. Hoy compré panini y una vez más otro largo cabello negro en él.La mujer que trabaja allí tiene el pelo largo que debe estar recogido o cubierto, pero no lo está. No volveré a comprar desde aquí.

Small cafe with excellent food. Very tasty toasted bagel and focaccia. Friendly service with free wifi. Good for a lunch time visit to rest whilst out shopping.

Visitamos un viernes por la mañana en julio, la cafetería estaba tranquila pero el menú parecía prometedor. Es pequeño pero acogedor y el personal es acogedor. Cuando llegó la comida era 10/10. Cada detalle fue perfecto. Mi amigo tenía el halloumi revuelto con tomate especiado y hierbas; esto era tan bueno que seguí robando bocados. Tuve los huevos revueltos con salmón ahumado y limón y eneldo - era mantecoso, ligero, limón y el salmón era de primera calidad. Todo esto fue en tostadas de masa fermentada artesanales, lo que sería una razón para venir aquí por su cuenta. Y definitivamente vendría aquí una o dos veces a la semana si viviera en Brighton. Las mejores notas.

Oseta es mi café preferido cuando necesito un café de la mañana o un chocolate caliente en Brighton. Elina y su equipo también ofrecen bocadillos y comidas deliciosas y, a menudo, poco comunes cuando el apetito es un poco más grande.Muchas comidas son sin gluten, vegetariana y vegana. . . . pero todos son deliciosos

What a fantastic wee cafe. Homemade potato and leek soup, the best ever tasted. The orange Tunisian cake was to die for. Moist and yummy. Gr8 coffee and tea selection. Staff so helpful and friendly. Definite 5 stars 👍👍

Have gotten take away from Oseta a few times and it has been fantastic on every occasion. I have fallen in love with the mezze lunch. Flavours are fantastic and so is the service. Great place for breakfast and lunch. Haven’t had a chance to try their treats yet, that’s next on my list.

I've been here a few times. The first time was totally random because it was the first place I passed with a hungry guest that was open for breakfast. Now it has become my go-to Brighton breakfast choice for veggies and meat eaters alike. The halloumi scramble is far and away the best thing I have eaten this year. I have tried to recreate it at home but cannot manage it. Luckily I will be back there soon for another helping.

This place is fantastic. The food is tip top and they cater for everyone. The people that work there are so helpful and happy. Brilliant service. Brilliant food. They also make a great coffee.

I used Oseta Cafe to provide food for 70 party guests for my 70th birthday. The cold buffet food was amazing with all guests waxing lyrical about the range of dishes, the taste and the appearance.

The hot meals are incredivle. All homemade, delicious, and the side salad is fantaatic. I recommend everyone pops in for a filling lunch to get you through the rest of your day!

I live right in the centre of the North Laine so I'm spoilt for choice when it comes to breakfast places, but I always find myself coming back to Oseta. The staff are friendly and chatty, the coffee is great and the food is absolutely top class! I love sitting in the window and watching the world go by with one of their breakfast sandwiches.

Spent a day in Brighton and wanted a quick bite to eat. Came across this cafe - lovely place. Friendly staff. Just had a couple of toasties but filled with quality ham and strong cheese. Happy to recommend.

A couple of months back I said that Oseta was no more and had become a Sushi restaurant. I was wrong; the 'proper' Ostea we know and love is still there in the day time for lunch and breakfast; it is the evening wine bar with cheeses and meats which is now a Sushi bar - and a good one I gather, although not my thing. Should have checked my facts before posting. Humble apologies for the duff info and for any inconvenience caused.

Happened upon this small cafe just as We were getting lunchtime peckish but not wanting to overfill as we had already had cooked breakfast and dinner was booked for the evening. Expecting a bit if a greasy spoon what we got was nothing like. A fine "snack menu" that would appeal to food connoisseurs and a choice of wines to enjoy with it.

The Oseta was a great cafe during the day and an interesting wine bar in the evening but now it is no more and is a sushi restaurant. A sad loss.

Tropical Sushi are running a pop up restaurant within Oseta Cafe for 2 weeks and its absolutely amazing. Latin / Japanese style sushi and extremely friend staff- highly recommended!

Oseta Cafe in the North Lanes must be one of the best home cooked food cafe's in Brighton if not the best. Elina's cooking is interesting and tasty and her portions are generous Ever changing dishes interesting and tasty. coffee and cakes are also tops

What a lovely little cafe! Perfect for starting your day on a good note with pleasant people. Even the customers were pleasant! Lots of a regulars, and if you visit here, you'll see why!

I reviewed Oseta in January this year and have continued to visit regularly, often after swimming. The quality of the food remains high and the choice good for a small cafe. More recently Oseta has opened in the evenings for small bites and wine. The menu looked good so four of us decided to give it a try. As expected from Oseta, we were not disappointed. The wine menu is small but the choices are good and the prices are very reasonable. We had 2 bottles of Gavi di Gavi and to eat we shared two plates of very tasty fennel sausages with lentils and one of each of the charcuterie and the cheese platters (5 choices on each). All the meats and all the cheeses were delicious. I think the bill was about £18 person which we felt was good value especially given the good quality. This is a great place for a quick bite and glass of wine on the way home from work or for a longer evening out.

My friends and I tried Oseta Cafe on recommendation. We arrived at around 11am on a Sunday for a lazy brunch. The menu is varied but small, with the usual breakfast dishes you'd expect. The cafe itself is on the compact side and has a cosy, homely feel, with fresh produce like jams and condiments available to take home. I opted for the avocado & smoked salmon smash on sourdough with scrambled eggs & what a huge portion I received; my dinner-sized plate was filled! The food is of a good quality and freshly prepared. The waitress was lovely & the service very efficient. Great little find!

Just popped in (1st time) mid afternoon for pot of Earl Grey tea and a cake. Pear and chocolate tart was stunningly good. Very friendly service. Small but interesting menu. Wish we had eaten lunch here and will do next time were in Brighton.

There is a great deal of choice in Brighton but Oseta is one of my favourites. Friendly service, good coffee, lovely wholesome food and nice cakes. Breakfasts are good too and after an early morning swim I just love the avocado, fresh spinach and smoked salmon on sourdough (poached egg optional). They also sell a few nice store cupboard items; not particularly cheap but perfect for a treat or present. Would definitely recommend.

Visited this cafe although no reviews on tripadvisor. Food was excellent , service a little slow but very pleasant and friendly . Would definitely recommend.
