Ormo Lounge in Conwy

Terrible cocktails.. it was pure rum, no other flavours at all. When I made the bartender aware, someone else, a young fella came over asked what the issue was so I said they’re undrinkable.. it was just pure rum. He smirked and said ‘right so what do you want, a refund?’ No apology no nothing. Not the first time we’ve had issues in this lounge, not the first time the cocktails were undrinkable either, food isn’t much better! They found it better use of their time to be immature behind the bar in front of customers.. as I recall ‘Hawk Tuah’ was mentioned and then one of them said ‘Spit on that thing’ which again is completely out of line when it comes to working around the general public when you’re supposed to be professional.

Gorgeous aesthetic but awful food. The garlic and cheese fries were soggy and had a pool of butter the bottom, really put me off. Very substandard food for the price. Acknowledgement when waiting to be seated wasn’t great either couple more seconds and we would have left. Were stood there for a good 5 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us.

I went here for coffee and cake with three family members. It was really busy but running like clockwork. The staff were friendly and efficient, the atmosphere lovely, the coffee and cake really good, and the interior decor fantastic. I was immediately struck on the similarities between Ormo Lounge and Ludo Lounge in Southbourne, Dorset, where I live. The lounges website confirmed these two, and others around the country are owned by the same company. They really are great venues for social dining, a rest stop for coffee, or an alcoholic beverage!

I've eaten at other Lounges and enjoyed them, but I was disappointed with this one. Quite loud and echoey, and the music was too loud. There were some small kids making a noise. They were in the window area playing. I was quite concerned about that as these are huge, plate glass windows that stretch down to the ground. There was a woman with her dog on her lap, so the dog's head was over the table, almost leaning on it. We ordered a cauliflower dish, but they were out of cauliflower. So, we had burgers which should have come with coleslaw but didn't. When I complained, the server said they were out of coleslaw. When I complained a bit more, she said we could have some free side salad instead. Why didn't she tell us they were out of coleslaw when she brought the burgers and offer us the side salad at that point? Why did it take two complaints before we were offered it? Or, why weren't we told when we placed the order? The food wasn't very hot. In the ladies loos, the toilet roll in one cubicle was on the floor and in another, there was no toilet paper at all.

The gluten free menu has such a variety of food which was a beautiful chance from the usual experience I have in most restaurants. The goods was amazing and I will definitely return.

We choose to go early at 6pm. Lovely surroundings and decor, wine was nice food ok, the 3 tapas dishes and a kofta flatbread were barely warm. My husband ordered a main and paid for choritzo as an extra but wasn’t added, decided not to mention as would have meant waiting and other food would have been colder. Maybe it’s old fashion but I believe when waiting to be seated you should be acknowledged by any member of staff, otherwise you feel a little awkward, we waited a few minutes and then seated but we saw others waiting longer and not acknowledged and some walked out. Would defo visit and try again,

Visited December 2024 Good value, town centre location, charismatic.

Good food and service in a large tables only pub style eatery. Dogs welcome with diners and staff very accommodating. Only improvement would be not to ask for tip when paying in advance before guest has tried the food or experienced the service. Will call again 👍🏻

This place do the BEST Caramel Lattes, we have ever had! Others in our group said their coffees were amazing too! We didn't have food but everything we saw come out looked amazing! We will definitely be back to try their food & have another coffee!

Started to go here for breakfast and to meet up with friends on a regular basis, so to me, that suggests that it must be doing something right. But you still get constant emails asking how they have done, I don't want that constant harassment from a company. The venue is clean, tidy and the majority of the staff are very friendly. The food and coffee aren't the cheapest in the town, but the standard of the food is good. We will be visiting again in the new year for another get together.

Can be very noisy when full but that said I had a pleasant visit with friends

First time visitors here. Really brilliant place, the staff are excellent, friendly and attentive. (Especially as i was needing clarification on items that contained sugar on the vegan menu, which incidentally is one of the best menus i’ve seen so far). The food was really tasty, Great coffee. It was 9pm on a freezing cold Tuesday November night. Really nice place but us 2 and party of 4 were outnumbered by staff.

Such a bad service, sat down and was waiting forever to even order, no one came over once. Walked straight next door and was served within 1 minute. Service?

First time ive tried this restaurant. Very nice atmosphere inside, awesome decor,friendly people, pets allowed. Clean and big space with parking around the area. Service was sweet and quiet, didnt like to much sauces , waay to much and than the chairs are not so back pain friendly stiff like in the buss.

Sorry but dogs should not be allowed in where food is being served, There were too many dogs in the restaurant on Sunday morning. One owner let their dog sleep on a chair and the other dog had its head on the table watching them eat.. Helpful staff

Really like this place, easy to go in a group or just on your own. Grab a table, order on your smart phone and enjoy the quirky decor. I've only eaten breakfast but I love the lounges eggs, I'm currently working my way through the variations. Plus got to be the nicest lattes in town! EDIT: Well my next visit was completely different, my poached eggs were liquid and my latte was more like a iced coffee. Not sure how a place can be so different.

This is the best cafe in the UK. I’ve travelled from Manchester multiple times just to have the lounge breakfast. Everyday i wake up and wonder when i can spare the time to go to Llandudno to have the lounge breakfast again. It is spectacular- especially the sausages, they are gorgeous. Thank you Ormo Lounge for existing. You are beautifully decorated and i will be back for a lounge breakfast as soon as i can.

We ate here a couple of times during a recent visit. The food was really nice, good value for money. There's a good range to choose from on the menu. Nice staff who were happy to help, even when it was busy. Good atmosphere.

Reece was exceptional. He makes the best coffee. Very polite well mannered. Customer service is immaculate.

Warm and welcoming, friendly staff, perfect if you're visiting llundudno

We had just arrived in town after flying in to the UK and it was the first place we ate at. We were not disappointed, the food was excellent and the atmosphere and service was great. Even though it was dinner time I was able to get a full breakfast, shakshuka and the kids got sausages and burgers which they loved. The burgers patteries were quite large and delicious. The serving staff were very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. You have to order from a QR code or at the bar (remember table number) . The restaurant is quite large so you may want to use QR code to order if it is busy.

Lovely place and accommodating staff although, tables very dirty and food felt very overpriced for what it was. Food came out cold, both me and my partner drove home feeling quite unwell. Shame as the place was very nice.

Visited a couple of times in the last couple of days at different times of the day and felt underwhelmed with the service from the staff, unless Lounges is becoming a Self Service cafe. Entrance A Board sign states wait to be seated, but despite staff noticing you, we were ignored on arrival. Coffees served without sugar and not on the tables. Bottle of cava ordered, would've been nice if the bottle / ice bucket had been served to the table, instead of us carrying it and 4 glasses to the table that also happened to be wet and needed to be replaced. Overall good location but let down by the staff running it. Lots of competition in the area, so if we were to return we would go somewhere else next time. Poor to average compared to other Lounges we have visited. ** Reply to General Manager 17/10/24 below ** Thanks for your reply Tom. Apologies if I stated Cava instead of Prosecco, let's just agree it was sparkling wine if you are trying to be pedantic. Still no excuse for serving wet glasses. The A Board is pointless and confusing for your customers if your staff ignore customers arriving. They noticed us, made no eye contact and gave the impression they didn't care. As for knowing about Lounges and your product, well we know one of your regional managers and have previously worked with the company to improve customer service and have probably made 100 Lounges visits in the last 5 years, so know the difference between a good and bad branch. Your response confirms the staff are the weakest link here I'm afraid.

Fabulous innovative menu, including Korean chicken - 10 out of 10!

We fell in love with this place and ended up coming here several times during our visit in Llandudno and always spent several hours here. The variety if food and drinks is excellent. The atmosphere with the three different room sections is fantastic and you can still choose another section for different views and atmosphere every time you visit. The staff is not very well trained, but the young bartenders, waitresses and waiters are very nice and adorable. The people in the kitchen seem to do a great job, too.

Fabulous place with fabulous food and fabulous prices not to be missed if you are staying in Llandudno.

Had a great brunch there yesterday. Service was spot on and importantly for us we could take our little dog in with us, defo go again.

Interesting reuse of a large cafe. Great atmosphere.ove the use of hanging lamp shades. Well worth a visit for a relaxed meal or just a drink.

Second visit this month after we enjoyed dropping in for a coffee and some halloumi fries (£6.50 for 3). This time however was sadly different. Tables were dirty with glasses and plates on several, an illusive waiter and poor food. My wife gave up on the sandwich as the bread was doughy and damp whilst my Nasi Goreng was nice, small but nice but with a handful of dangerous chilli's which were lethal. Egg wasn't fresh and was overcooked. We came here as we had just heard an interview with the person/s who setup the chain and their unforgiving stance on quality. It seems someone forgot tk tell the staff. 🤷‍♂️

Excellent service from a lovely lady who really looked after us. The portions were huge and really tasty. We even had a pot of T each, thought the first 2 pots were to share between all 4 of us! Best value for money all week.

Food was alright nothing to rave about. It said please wait to be seated at the front entrance so we stood there for about 5min and finally another patron came and told us they did the same and to seat yourself. Kitchen closes at 10pm which isn’t posted anywhere, luckily we did get food and it was tasty not 5 star tho.

Wanted a g/f tuna melt but no g/f bread ended up with a cake.

Can't rate the food as we only had coffee here. (Which was good). The ambience was first class.

Just went for a couple of drinks because of the inclement weather. We found a nice bench seat though there were full sofas and easy chairs. We immediately relaxed on our seats and watched the world go by. It was the perfect place to be on a wet Thursday afternoon.

We decided to come to the Ormo lounge for Sunday lunch as it looks really appealing from the outside. We was told the only seat left for two was right in front of the door where it was freezing every time it opened, however two other couples that came straight after us was taken to other tables into the warmth…thought there was no other tables left?? Judging us maybe?? My partner spoke to the waitress to ask if we could be moved she said she would see what she could do but again sat other couples down and didn’t come back to us… Obviously we left and had a fantastic roast at the The Cottage loaf round the corner. Would not return due to the bad customer experience

Had a great visit to Ormo Lounge. The interior is fantastic. Really nice and makes it worth the visit. The food is good too, not extraordinary but they have good basic meals that aren’t pricy at all. On certain days or hours they have good deals too. Staff is kind. What we didn’t like is you have to order online with a QR code which makes it a bit impersonal, or you have to order at the bar. Would be an extra star for service if they took your order at the table.

Go to Ormo regularly for tapas Tuesday. Last night the tapas was the best it's ever been and it is always good. After sending compliments to the chef we asked his name which was chef John well done

Cowboy smash burger was just amazing - Caribbean chicken curry was bland and lacking chicken. The tapas dishes were also excellent and the staff are very welcoming. Don’t eat the curry!!!

In Llandudno for a two day break - ended up in the Ormo Lounge both nights for food and drinks. It was awful weather on the first night (Sunday) and quite quiet around Llandudno but even so the Ormo Lounge had a lovely cosy atmosphere. Quirky decor, spacious, friendly staff and informal, we were glad we stumbled upon it. Reasonably priced and serves food until 10pm too. Love the vibe of this chain - been to the Marino Lounge in New Brighton several times before and hadn't realised they were connected.

Poor from start to finish. Table was dirty on arrival which I understand. Other tables around us cleaned while ours was left dirty and with plates and glasses. Ordered at the bar no issues cutlery delivered and that’s as far as the food parts go. On delivery if cutlery the guy said he’d be back to clear the table (no show). 40 minutes later no food still despite the bar saying when we asked around 20 mins (2 sandwiches and a bowl of chips) I went in to ask, I’d noticed the waiting screen which only seemed to show ours outstanding. Was told was up to an hour wait despite tables and orders after us eating their food. Eventually food appeared after asking. Nothing special for the price found minimal tuna, asked for mayonnaise for the food that didn’t appear either. Again had to ask for the plates to be moved with the glasses even when our food was delivered. Plates moved glasses were still there when we left. No check back atall. all we got told when the food arrived was assistant manager says you can have drink or cake at no cost! That was about it, didn’t dare ask for a cake as the car park ticket would have run out by the time we got it (2 hours). Food poor and service terrible. Not sure what’s changed this place used to be superb.

Took my mum out for breakfast but wanted something a bit different and nicer to your typical full English etc. We stopped by Ormo Lounge and had Smashed Avo Brunch and Shakshuka and they were both spot on. Just what we were after.

Good use of lovely old buildings. Great decorative walls with mirrors and pictures. However, tables and floors needed cleaning. Used app to order, but the food came at different times. Tea cake cold with no jam and churros took forever. Had drunk coffee by the time they had arrived. Toilets scruffy. I have been to loads of this "lounge" chain and was disappointed with this one.

Amazing Interior with delicious food.

Stopped by for a quick drink before heading home. Coffee was very nice, as was the Biscoff milkshake my husband had. We didn't eat here. The decor was amazing, very William Morris, with beautiful chandeliers hanging from the ceilings, and the sofa we sat on was the same design as the wallpaper in velvet, with large cushions, which were great to lean back on, so comfortable.

We ate at Ormo on Friday evening, I had the best chilli con carne ever , wife had bang bang chicken, she was equally impressed. Order via app or queue at the bar, we used the app and worked a treat. Beautifully eclectic decor, everywhere is eye catching, very clean and a great atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and helpful, service was spot on , Had more drinks on the outdoor terrace, great value .. So good we returned on Saturday and dined again, just as impressive. Really worth a visit for an enjoyable experience..

Waited an hour for food, staff member forgot to send order to the kitchen!

Walked in with no booking and found a table straight away. Very happy we stumbled across this little gem. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food was delicious and prices were very reasonable Would recommend

This is my first time here and I’m a fan! Beautifully decorated, clean, and excellent coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Attentive and professional staff. I’ll be back!

I don’t like leaving negative words but we expected more after reading reviews. The atmosphere and design were nice, gave me “Friends” feel, boho, relaxed and dog friendly, but dirty tables everywhere, and menus with really small font…the display menu is poorly placed in the window, directly blocked by a table of four, if I’m being picky. I liked the “order at the bar or with the QR code”, but we went to the bar as we were paying in cash. Long queue, but we were ok with that. There was a nice menu selection in each food category. After waiting more than 25mins, which was fine as we were not in a hurry, we did get our food after 2 larger tables that came after us received theirs. I hate when that happens, especially since we were just 2, but we were patient. My Thai coconut prawn noodles were terrible. The noodles were sitting and soaked up most of the little amount of broth there was by the time it arrived. There were some saucy prawns, but nothing Thai or coconutty about them. Almost inedible really. My husband hand the chicken wings, which were “not awful”, in his words. The men’s toilet were “not great” either. It’s too bad, maybe it was just our experience. Hope yours is better if you go. We were there on a Thursday, around 7-8pm

Ordered at table, little interaction with server. Food okay but very little chicken in bang bang chicken for the price. Drink tasted processed pink lemonade. Seated on a high table not that comfortable with no chair back. Main and drink for £18. Nothing special.

Food is nice, and great options for gf and vegan.. but the wine!! Better you ask the bar before you order! The cheapest bottle.of red wine was 20 pounds which is a decent price for a bottle of wine.. shame when it came it was a 10% tempranillo, didn't even know it could exist such a low alcohol red wine.. result, terrible ..

The interior is fabulous, staff friendly food very nice my iced coffee was gorgeous, would definitely have a repeat visit.

The decor is lovely, food is very, very tasty ....I had tapas ( prawns , hummus with pitta bread and beef brisket chilli ) Went with a friend who lives in Llandudno and recommended we go . Visit a branch of the ' Lounge ' bars near home all the time and love the atmosphere there too.

Great to find somewhere that welcomes those with nut allergies, after 3 other cafes had been unable to assure us that their food was safe. Staff were lovely too.

This is a late review. Visited for a beer with a friend as part of an overnight stop in Llandudno during a motorbike tour of North Wales in Sept 23. We walked North along the front then turned left and found this place opposite the converted cinema now housing a Wetherspoons. I loved the converted shop front with the huge, curved, one piece, panes of glass either side of the doorways. The interior is broken down into different zones and decorated with gilt, loads of random pictures and portraits on the walls and hundreds of ceiling lamps hanging from above. It's like a modern Baroque style. Despite being busy we found a table and the bar service was quick. There were a few bars dotted around so worth a wander if the nearest is busy and it gives an excuse to investigate other parts of the place. We didn't eat there but the beer was good with a decent range. Well worth a visit. Edit: Thanks to Mr Bleasdale for his reply. A nice, comfortable place to eat and drink. I like this chain, because I know that I will be able to find a good range of gluten free food, and dairy free options. They have a good cocktail menu, including alcohol free, and also make some fantastic soft drinks, like their Sherbet Lemonade. It's a bit noisy when it's full, but what do you expect?

Great food, great wines and fast service. Very popular and busy but the decor is fabulous.

One Cold dish then two burnt ones, waited 30 minutes for pudding, no sauce with the Churros, sticky toffee pudding not nice, tasted like banana cake.

Horrible service , tables dirty , didn’t get any meals right and took almost an hour for churros. One of my worst experiences with service , simple job get my meal right. However , atmosphere was lovely and well decorated and the food was above average. Good food and great atmosphere but service lets it down

We were in Llandudno for a weekend trip and decided to try Ormo launge only because it looked so beautiful from outside and the atmosphere.. but after testing the food, we went back for breakfast for the remaining 2 days. Beautiful cozy atmosphere and great food. definitely recommend to everyone.
