Friendly staff, good service, great food we ate the lot! 😋

I was eager to try this restaurant as I love BBQ food. Portions are very generous but I am happy I visited but would not make an effort to go back

We came in 4 adults, for dinner. Worst!! service i have ever got. The food was poorly made, everything there is just swimming in oil. After 25 minutes, tge waiter had no clue about our dishes. I was totally disappointed.

Early dinner booked for 5pm for Anniversary dinner so place was lovely and quiet. We sat at the Chefs bar and had the sharing platter for 2. SO much food and all tasted amazing! Cocktails were equally amazing and Ashley, our waiter, was brilliant! (Thanks Ashley) Ended the evening with a complementary dessert for our Anniversary which was fabulous too! My new fave place and looking forward to going back.

I was nearly put off by the reviews but it is far better than the reviews would suggest. Good quality smoked meats and on a Thursday extremely good value. Our server Ashley was very attentive and knowledgeable with the menu. In general I would recommended 🤙🏻

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon with a steady flow of customers in the building, which picked up alot as the evening went on. Food - Popcorn Brisket Bites & Dirty Double Burger. Both was really nice & cant be faulted. Decor and outdoor activities was very popular with the kids. For our first experience we was very impressed and we will be returning. Good competition for Hickorys!

Brilliant place to go, all the food we had was exceptional. I’ve never had chicken so succulent! The service was on point, thank you Ashley!!! The cherry soda drink especially my favourite and what better but you can take home as much popcorn as you can carry.

Our first time here as was impressed with the interior and staff was friendly and welcoming, was very quick on taking our drinks order and wasn't long before they asked for our food order we was then given water and some popcorn which was nice without asking. Our food didn't take long to come and we both had full rack of the baby back ribs with tater tots, the ribs was good size and plenty of BBQ sauce on top most of the ribs came straight of the bone bit dry in places but otherwise very tasty and was little spicy but nothing overpowering must be the southern rub, the tater tota was very tasty and yummy also came with red cabbage and apple coleslaw which I enjoyed also, the drink we only had Pepsi max which was fine, we finished with the sharing churros which you get plenty off with frozen custard belguim chocolate and doughnut glaze and some fresh strawberries this was very nice and very tasty overall a great experience really great atmosphere, friendly staff and not to bad prices for BBQ.

Thought I'd try coming to this restaurant for the first time amd was not disappointed! The service from Will was fantastic and the delicious food arrived in good time too 😀 even considering the restaurant was quite busy too. In particular we tried the smoked platter for 2 as our main. All of the included items were fantastic, you definitely get your monies worth and get a good range of choices to gorge on. I was particularly surprised by the smoke jalapeño sausage with cheese in the middle. The entire meats were all well prepared and sated my hunger for some great meats. The mac n cheese and beans were amazing too. Dessert 🍨 we had the brownie with cookie dough and frozen custard. Normally these kind of desserts range from being to sweet or sickly to thick and heavy but again this was a happy medium meaning the meal was capped off nicely. Oh drinks, just had a Pepsi max cherry and was not can or bottle and so that's a win for people who dislike restaurants that serve soft drinks in those annoying glass bottles. 10/10 will come back!

We had a fantastic meal with 12 adults and 1 child ... child meal bought out with the starters which we were happy with.. every meal was amazing ... our waiter Will was just brilliant he was funny and engaging with the whole group ... fantastic evening... will defo go back.. only bad point very noisy but this didn't stop us from a great meal

Me and my family came here for a meal at lunchtime today. It was nice and quiet for the kids. The food was cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth! There are also a lot of choices for drinks. The staff were friendly, welcoming and really considered our allergies. Aimee, the lovely waitress, had a surprise for me. She gave me frozen chocolate yogurt with ice cream and sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to me! I think this is a wonderful gesture from her and I hope to come here again! ☺️❤️

If you’re a fan of low and slow meats, this place doesn’t disappoint. The portions are generous, and every crumb is served packed with flavour. The amazing food is punctuated with excellent service, our waiter Will, was world classes. I can honestly say I’ve never had service, this friendly and competent.

Service was great, and the restaurant was clean and well maintained. And the food was decently priced so I'd definitely come back next time I'm back in England. I got the Ribeye which was cooked very well, but there was 0 flavour/seasoning which was disappointing, and the fries were average.

Travelled to see family and was taken for a meal. Food was lovely, atmosphere was nice. Our server Ariet was helpful, accommodating and friendly. Our runner Amelia wakelin was also lovely and helpful. Would recommend.

Imagine if you asked an AI to design a hickory's, it might look like this. Rundown of the platter: The brisket needs less cooking, the beef rib needs more. Pork ribs and wings were actually really solid and the jalapeno cheese sausage was great. Mac and cheese was fine and the pit beans/pork were pretty solid. The BBQ sauce tasted exactly like dominos. I'd expect a unique sauce from a dedicated bbq restaurant, but it just made me crave pizza. I really enjoyed the Orleans ice tea, but wasn't bowled over by the beer selection. There is a better BBQ out there but for a chain, this isn't half bad. Just stay away from the beef

First time we have been and it was excellent. The person who looked after us while we were there was Will. He is an absolute rockstar at his job. He has a real passion for what he does and knows the menu inside and out. From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, he could not do enough for us. We ended up having the sharing platter. It was delicious and we have enough for dinner tomorrow too! Along with the sharing platter, we both had various cocktails and a dessert to bring home for tomorrow too. It was well worth the money. Will - thank you for making it such a fabulous night! See you again soon!

Really impressed with Ariel 5*, so attentive, friendly and helpful. First visit since change to Smokehouse and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

We went for a late lunch after looking for a child friendly place. We arrived and there was no host to sit us down so we ended up asking at the bar and sat our self down. We asked the waitress (Megan) for a child’s menu and made a sarcastic comment about how we would’ve been given one by the host who sat us down. We ordered 2 adult meals and a child’s meal and came to around £55 which we thought was overpriced for the food we had. The meals were standard burger chips, fajitas and children’s burger chips. The worst bit was soon as the fajitas arrived there was a very long hair obviously noticeable on the food. This was soon exchanged and new one was made. No discount or deductions was made on the bill either to compensate for the inconvenience. The only bit we enjoyed was the lawn games outside that our child enjoyed playing. There were a lot of wasps outside and some inside too so wouldn’t recommend sitting outside. We wouldn’t visit again as very poor service, overpriced food and clearly lack of hair nets!

Food was average. We ordered the sharing platter for two and were both underwhelmed at the portion size. Service wasn’t awful but wasn’t great either. Had to go find a waiter after no cutlery/plates made it to the table after asking twice. Wasn’t asked about additional drinks etc. Atmosphere was ok, nicely designed restaurant.

Lovely food. Great service. Held up by allergen policy. Not servers fault. We understand allergens. But the process for this place is so slow and hold up service when quiet. Can't imagine how ad it is when busy. It's also embarrassing for the person in question with the allergy as its such a big song and dance it puts the spotlight on them which can be upsetting.

A great experience. 95 per cent like being back in the States! The latte though was very strong. Staff really friendly and welcoming.

Quite disappointing.. by the name your going to expect proper pork Ribs.. these were very chewy and bland.. almost burnt!!.. No salad or even coleslaw on side.. very tasteless... well well overpriced..Platter £59 for overcooked chewy meat.. Harvester would have been better with a refurb.. best thing was the popcorn.. sweet salty.. BTW its free! The refit is decent but don't waste your money here!!

Toby was a great server. Very polite, attentive and quick. Woman on the front counter was grand too, just didn’t catch her name. Food was fab, great portion sizes and really nice too.

Lovely little hot spot that has so much to offer for all the family. Nice to wheat included in the allergens and not just gluten as child has true wheat allergy. Server Alex helped to go through the allergen menu and I was shocked what could be offered. Alex also checked with the kitchen staff about cross contamination which was reassuring and we felt safe, we struggle so much to eat out as a family because of the allergies. Alex made us feel welcome and at ease, provided the kids with popcorn for the cinema room and hosted us in a great spot for this. Food options are good, and nice and peaceful. Thanks for a lovely time!

We went here two weeks ago, to celebrate me finishing my job and getting a new job elsewhere. It was a very hot day and we had the whole family with us (including the dog!). The waiter was excellent, so friendly and kind. The food was completely delicious. My husband then went up to the bar and asked if it was possible to make me a pint colada, ( it wasn't on the menu). The barman said he'd try his best and try and make it as accurate as possible with what he had. He went out of his way to make this for me, and then made a very kind gesture as my husband mentioned about me leaving my job that day. The pina colada was amazing. I forgot the barman and waiters name, but I remember the barman being brilliant with my daughter and said he was one of 7 siblings, so loved children. Definitely worth a visit and I'll definitely recommend to our friends.

If your a fan of meat this is the place to go. Other dishes are available but this is a celebration of meat. I went for the rack of ribs, slow cooked for 8 hours, they were fab. Great sticky & tangy sauce covering the ribs with a little pot on the side. Starter of a garlic pretzel covered in butter & salt was also delicious Good friendly service throughout, very good parking facilities & will certainly be back to try out some of the other dishes

Great addition to the places to eat in Solihull and Shirley. Brilliant service and food was fantastic. Went with work colleagues but will definitely return with family, want to try out the in-door cinema!

Myself and my partner had one of the best meals we have had in a long time I had the 12 ounce new York strip and she had the southern fried chicken mac and cheese she absolutely loved the mac and cheese and my steak was so good I asked the waiter to thank the chief personally and in return we got a free ice cream. 100% the very best steak in the UK, me and my partner travel the world tasting foods and this steak is one of the finest

Worse service ever. It deserves 0 stars. I got a drink and sat outside on a soaked sit (which I clearly didn’t notice) I made the bar staff aware and they didn’t take any notice, not even an apology. Ridiculous

Great setting and layout. The service was brilliant and the food was amazing. However, the portions are big and we had to take a lot home in doggy bags. The Mac and Cheese is without doubt the best I have ever had. There are games and a play area for kids and this place is really worth a visit.

I have to say food was amazing, so much choice and so many flavors. We were given a small bag of popcorn on arrival which was a nice touch and very tasty. I decided on the Brisket after reading the good reviews on this and wasn’t disappointed. Huge portion and the meat was cooked perfect. The gravy served with it was delicious but did need an extra portion as there was so much meet. Also came with the two slaws (very tasty) Ordered corn as a side which was perfect . My colleague went for the cheese burger and that also looked amazing. I tried a few cocktails all good. Key lime pie for desert which came with fresh lime and very refreshing. I have to give a big shout out to Cary’s who served us and who made us feel right at home. Ignore the bad reviews about decor and overcooked meat. This place is a hidden Jem with plenty of space for family’s and big groups. Enjoyed it so much we are going again tonight to try other things on the menu as there are so many nice options. 😊⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food speaks for itself! It was so good we traveled 2.5hours to go back again! The brisket is glorious. Decor is lovely. And cars the film plays constantly in the private and quiet kids section.

Fantastic service today for my wife’s special occasion. Bartender went the extra mile by making a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu and bringing it out personally. Food sensational. Will definitely be back for more.

We live locally and normally go the Fieldhouse. Thought we'd give this a try. Staff and service very good. Ribs good. Margarita cocktail excellent. I ordered chicken fajita £19. What a joke. I can only describe it as a Kids Meal (but Adult price). Tiny slivers of chicken you could fit in the palm of your hand, 4 minute fajita wraps like postage stamps. I couldn't believe my eyes. Sent it straight back and ordered a rump steak £19. Also tiny, described as 7oz. Well, I didn't have scales, so at this point we left. Such a shame. Lovely place, big bar, outdoor area, friendly staff, but the oh so familiar excuse of "it's a standard portion ". The people at the top need to sort the portions cos the place was half empty and now I know why. Back to the Fieldhouse 🤦‍♂️

Really happy this place exists now in Shirley! Went a few weeks ago for my partner's birthday meal. Staff were friendly and on it, drinks were really tasty and good value too, and the food was absolutely phenomenal, and great portion sizes. Already planning on coming back soon as I saw they had a frozen yoghurt area! Had a fantastic time

My husbands 60th birthday was such a smash here at Orleans. All 30 guests loved the food, service and atmosphere. Amy was our waitress and she did an amazing job!! Professional all the time and attentive. Beautiful spirit! Being we’re in the music business, all our guests are professionals. So when we went into the Stevie Wonder version of ‘Happy Birthday to ya’ the staff and customers came to full attention! lol. It was a sight to behold. Food is good & big portions, think I expected more of the restaurant after the refurb, but not much difference to old Harvester... Service was ok but we were in agreement that Hickorys is slightly better if we wanted BBQ food
