We have eaten here on a few occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed it. We’ve anlways had good service but tonight our server Ruby was very attentive and friendly and wanted to leave a her a positive review!

Fantastic experience here. The service was awesome. looked after very well. The food was incredible, very tasty. We all loved it. 9 of us dined in total. Always a great experience. I been a few times now and it's always great.

The food is beyond overcooked, we had the platter which on first impression, looked good, but upon tasting was inedible. Dry to the bone wings and ribs, you couldn’t get a knife through the beef short rib and the pulled pork resembled shredded wheat, truly awful meat, I don’t know how they’ve got it so wrong! When we brought it to the waiters attention, he inadvertently offended our knowledge of food by telling us ‘we probably just got the end cuts, which was unfortunate.’ This wasn’t the case but even if this was, we shouldn’t have been served them in the first place. The only reason we said everything was okay when the waiter came back to do his first check back (2 minutes into the meal) was because we had only tried the macaroni cheese, which we were first feeding our baby before ourselves. The sides were actually quite tasty though. When the waiter alerted his manager about the problem, he seemed very incompetent and avoidant of any sort of conversation/complaint, thanked us for letting him know about the food being dry. Absolutely gobsmacked at his lack of customer service/problem solving skills. Avoid

Amazing food but outstanding service from Poppy this evening, really polite and not at all intrusive to our large party. Bought the birthday cake out for us after discreetly sneaking it from my mother, very happy. Thankyou Poppy x

First visit and we were not disappointed, the outside looks like the building was made in Louisanna, the inside is very clean. Food is good some things we found are better at Hickory's but then others are e much better here than at Hickory's. The staff were friendly and polite. We will be back again

This is my daughters’ favourite restaurant so we’ve been several times and always enjoy the food and the welcome of children with colouring and the cinema room. I recently came to celebrate mine and my twin sister’s birthday and we were served by Ashley who was excellent he was friendly and accommodating and went out of his way to surprise us for our birthday! He brought us a little cake with happy birthday piped onto the platter! It was a special addition to the festivities and thought he did such a great job serving us thanks so much!

Came here today I cannot complain about about the food but the service was terrible , waited ages for food to come , my son ordered milkshakes which took that long we cancelled , then got bill to be told needed another one has milkshakes where on there, I just went and paid bill minus the milkshakes waiting around for another 10 mins for another bill , wasn't busy so what are you waitresses doing, spent £120, expected better service

Shocking food not worth the money at all I’d rather go maccies Both mains came out at different times, Service from the staff was poor too many people standing around at a very quiet time of the day & the manager did not apologise for bringing the second meal out 20 minutes later that they missed, the quality of the food was dreadful & the beef brisket was burnt. We will not come here again!!

Fantastic ribs, you have to try them out. It’s just perfect, straight from heaven, spices are just right not too dry not too juicy, absolutely amazing taste.

Really disappointed.It was quiet it was a Sunday afternoon,which you would have thought you would have had more attention from the waiting staff,the food took for ever to get to us.It was dry,poor quality for 3 chefs standing around in the kitchen!The man in charge who spent most of his time chatting to the waiting staff &biting his nails!!!!

Had another lovely evening last night at Monkspath Harvester. After a quick trip to the salad bar ( loving the blue cheese coleslaw), we ordered Nachos and halloumi fries starters then triple combo and bird,surf & turf (the steak was cooked to perfection ! ). The food was faultless, we loved it. Thanks go to Zak who serves us our drinks, Anjali who took our order and Ariet who served us our meals, all were extremely polite, friendly and professional. However special thanks must go the the staff in the kitchen who were working extremely hard and made the evening very enjoyable. We shall be back !

The food was beautiful. My better half had the platter for 1, it was huge. I think he had the meat sweats for a while after. My daughter had the tacos with pulled pork, I thought it wouldn't be a good idea and wouldn't be filling so I encouraged her to have a side of the corn dogs, the tacos portion was huge but she loved the corn dogs. I had the beef brisket sub with a side of pit beans so tasty and filling. My daughter had the cookie dough milkshake and we all had a round of drinks and the bill came to £100 which i thought was quite fair to say how stuffed we were. Our waitress, Danielle was lovely, really bubbly and attentive, just the right amount of chatty. She checked in enough but not too much. We were sat down and eating our meal well with 20-25 mins after arriving, most of it was deciding what to have. Would definitely travel the 60 mins to visit again.

Friday early evening during half term there was only 4 tables including ourselves. We ordered the nachos and tacos to start the tacos dripped some sort of liquid from the slaw which made the wraps soggy the pork although coated in bbq sauce was dry. The sausage main was fine but the chicken again was so dry i only ate a a quarter and the husband didnt even want to polish it off! The childrens coated chicken strips were also so dry they were inedible the childrens burger was fine. We got our first drinks fairly fast we wasnt aked again of we'd like more drinks i did ask for a Pepsi and it took over 10 minutes to come considering there was 6 members of staff and only 4 tables I didn't feel it was great. When we asked for the bill we was hoping to be asked how our meals were so we could give feed back but our waitress just asked if it was cash or card and took the payment.

My wife enjoyed the food more than I did, but i did enjoy the cornbread bites and the popcorn at the beginning was a nice touch, although at first we got 1 little bag between 4 of us until we asked for another, which we got. I didn't feel the price was justified for the quality of the food.

Absolutely spot on, 1st visit and couldn't be happier. Food was amazing, my little girl loved the movie section and the sprinkles for the ice cream!

Review for New Orleans Smokehouse Restaurant Had a lovely experience at the New Orleans Smokehouse. The staff were incredibly pleasant and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious – full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The margarita was also spot on, refreshing and well balanced. Our waiter was very polite, attentive, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu, which made choosing our dishes even easier. One small suggestion – the atmosphere would feel even more authentic with music more reflective of New Orleans, perhaps some jazz or blues, instead of country. That said, it didn’t take away from a great dining experience. Will definitely be back!

Food was good service good wouldn't say it was outstanding have been to a few smokehouse and this would be average. Starters for the price 3 tenders and small tenders at that not to shout about. Nachos sharing platter should be with cheese and sauce guacamole and everything on top of the nachos,saving on cheese and pulled pork portions, I think. Beef short rib very good and large portion but on the 4 bone 2 bone don't bother. Burger beef bonanza is average at best of a burger.

The food lacked flavour. One of my parties said that Mcdonald Burger was better. I paid £30 booking fee, which I thought would be taken off the bill, but it wasn't. Are host was really nice.

Came here to this fairly new place for Mother’s Day as something new. Served by Meg she was enthusiastic to help and service was speedy. Chef Matt cooked the meal which was mouthwatering and it was a Mother’s Day well spent would recommend will be back soon!

We were looked after by Taylor, and the evening was great. The food (brisket and ribs) were wonderful and we also had the frozen custard which we all loved. The little cinema corner got used by our boys too so the "old couple" could get on with their lovely evening. Thank you Orleans for a great service!

This was our first time at Orleans smokehouse. We had such a wonderful time. We were served by Aimee who was incredible! She was so friendly and extremely attentive. She ensured we were well looked after. Food was great and the atmosphere was really cool too. Will definitely come back and also recommend it to friends and family.

I made reservation for Mother's Day and few days ago tried, via email, to add another person to booking. No response. Phoned today and informed it was impossible as all seating in use. I queried this as they have staggered times, but not very helpful. I even suggested we could squeeze in as one was a child. What would have happened if we had just turned up with the extra person. Would we have been turned away?

Staff was amazing. So lovely and helpful. Food was good but not out of this world good. Problem I found was it was tiny portions for the price.

Went here for a meal for my dad’s 70th few nights back. Really good service from being seated, to ordering, asking for more drinks etc… they brought out a cake we brought with us with candles etc…on as well. Gave the kids bags of popcorn as well which they liked. Cinema room was good for them as well, showing Moana. Food was nice but probably a bit pricy for what it is. Shared the smokehouse platter with my brother and we demolished it. Would probably recommend the platter at Hickory’s smokehouse more though, bit nicer and cheaper, but still decent. Everyone enjoyed their meals though. Was about £450 bill for 12 people, 2 kids, with everyone drinking.

I recently visited New Orleans, and while the place itself looked the business—vibrant, lively, and full of character—the food was a major letdown. One of the biggest disappointments was that the food didn’t live up to the culinary reputation the restaurant had built. For a spot that prides itself on smoked meats and soul food, I was expecting an authentic experience. However, I found that the food lacked that traditional, smoky depth you’d expect from a place known for its BBQ or smoked dishes. To make matters worse, it wasn’t even smoked in-house, which felt like a missed opportunity for genuine, local flavor. It’s a shame because the restaurant had so much potential with its atmosphere, but the food just didn’t hit the mark for me. Would still recommend checking it out for the vibe, but don’t go in expecting the food to blow you away.

Awful Hickory's clone. Example of a billion pound, soulless corporation trying to cash in on someone else's ideas and work whilst stealing value from the customer. Do not support this sorry excuse for a restaurant and go to Hickory's Smokehouse 10 minutes down the road where there's actual atmosphere. The menu is a lazy duplicate, the food left something to be desired, and the shaky premise that they came first despite the restaurant mentioned not having the same menu and being closed for decades, is deceitful. I also feel it's unethical and immoral to change the listing from when it was a Harvester, rather than making a new one, so they could keep all the previous reviews that have nothing to do with the new restaurant just to make it look like they've had more custom than they actually have. This does not reflect the staff who work there the servers were nice, this is aimed purely at the bigwigs who funded and created this clone. Inspiration is one thing, and competition is healthy, but when you happen to have the same theme, almost exact same dishes, at the same price, with suspiciously similar grammar and wording, and dish presentation...you know exactly what you're doing.

OK sort of meal...went after booking a birthday party for 6, meals were a bit hit & miss..2 of the roast chicken meals lovely & tender...the other rather dry...the 2 chicken burgers looked & were nice, my burger was to be honest a bit tasteless. We did speak to the management who removed the cost of the one roast chicken meal...not many gluten or dairy dessert free options. Bit expensive for the type & quality of food being served

Amazing atmosphere and great for the kids, fast friendly service. Best of all there’s a cinema inside just for the kids showing films daily. Amazing bring your family here. Will be back- thanks to all the team.

Popped in for lunch. Food was great and service was brilliant. A fun and lively atmosphere especially given as it was a random Tuesday lunchtime.

Clodagh was our waiter for the night and she was incredibly friendly and always had a smile on her face

Me and my wife had gone for the sharing platter for two. We found the meat very dry particularly the ribs, chicken wings and the beef short rib. This made the meal unpleasant as it was the main part that we were looking forward to. The coleslaw had an unpleasant tangy taste and the pickled cabbage was also the same. I would probably go as far as saying the rack of ribs was the driest rack of ribs I’ve ever tasted. The jalapeño sausage was probably the best item in the platter along with the fries and tater tots. However we’re also very disappointed that we didn’t receive the gravy.

The food was delicious and our waiter was lovely but unfortunately we were seated near the kitchen. The door was constantly banging closed and the staff even had an argument in front of us.

Service is really good, attentive and friendly staff. It does get very busy, so I’d recommend booking in advance If you want to try a bit of a few things, then the Platter is definitely for you, but I’d also recommend the Ribs, the meat literally falls off the bone! The rump steak is also delicious, really tender and juicy; and the peppercorn sauce has a good kick to it! The slaw is really tasty too, and the onions rings are crispy and chunky! The chicken tenders were a bit of a let down, a bit watery when you bite into them and not as crispy as they should be! For desert, defo try the Crunchie (brownie and cookie dough)

My third time visiting New Orleans and it was extremely disappointing. I wanted to take my two friends to this venue because I have enjoyed it every other time. Today was straight up embarrassing. Starters were okay, came out quickly but a little bland. The mains however extremely bland and cold. Our burger arrived and was thrown across the table, and no remake was offered, just expecting my friend to put it back together herself, leaving us to awkwardly try and ask the waitress for a fresh one. we didn’t get this, but a “fresh bacon. We had to wait for the final main to come along side this, and the bacon was somehow cold. The brisket was so fatty, barely any bark to be seen and also extremely dry, it was literally inedible. We also ordered two sides of charred broccoli and we received barely even microwaved broccoli. Cold fries, tater tots, the mac and cheese at least had a warm cheese crust. Took around 15 minutes to get the managers attention, our waitress karys bless her was struggling with a big table and we were literally being ignored by everyone else. I had to in the end ask a glasses collector to grab his attention for me, he was too busy chatting with this blonde girl whose name began with a K and ignored all of his customers. He came over and asked if we wanted new meals, which we didn’t it was nearly 8:30 and he scoffed when our discount wouldn’t work on the bill. It was a truly disappointing experience and we all feel so let down, but also let down for karys because she was so genuinely upset that we hadn’t had a great time and she was busy she is a great asset to your team she at least made us leave with a little smile

Cant find fault. Attended with my daughter, had great service (Waiter called Will), great food and really enjoyed the whole evening. Will certainty return

I visited with my partner on a Wednesday afternoon we came an hour early and they were still very accommodating. We was greeted by a lovely waiter named Ruby who looked after us the duration of our booking we was given water and sweet popcorn on arrival. The menu was a wide variety the drinks starters mains and dessert came out very quickly our tables were cleared in between and we were constantly checked on the food tasted really good my only complaint was that the first option I chose for my mains tasted really bland and Ruby insisted it was taken back to the kitchen and I was able to choose something else instead which I was given extra fries with for free we also got dessert for free too by signing up for the newsletter email updates cocktails were really strong which was nice . The atmosphere was quiet and calm and the toilets were extremely clean and smelt so nice. Overall experience I was so pleased money well spent and will be back again

Will was a great server. Ordered the buffalo wings for starter which were really nice. Up until this point everything was great and so the expectations were high. Until we had to wait about an hour for the food, quite disappointing. Ribs were very dry and brisket was tasteless. Even the chips weren’t good, 3 stars for the service and decor really.

Overall, great service and great food. Connor was a great server 👍

Today I have visited with my family and my friend for our dinner. My husband ordered the dirty burgers and me and my friend had steaks . The meals are so delicious and we enjoyed very much. Also service was so good and thank you for Harris and she was so helpful and great service for us.

I ordered the Southern Feast mac n cheese and they forgot the bacon. The flavour was ok, but it didn't wow me. It is nice they give you some popcorn while you're waiting for your food. We also ordered some dessert and they forgot. We waited for more than 30 minutes to get our pudding.

The restaurant has a nice vibe but why the cutlery is placed directly on the table? Surely having a napkin underneath it would make it more sanitary.

Came here for Valentines . the bbq pulled tacos as a starter are gorgeous. i had the half rack of ribs which you can never go wrong with and was amazing. other half had beef brisket burger which looked fabulous. and mac&cheese and tater tot side . nice range of beer and signature cocktails were really good. Danielle our server was lovely & very attentive was very happy with service overall and the bubbly atmosphere and good price range for food . will be coming again :)
