Living in Headingley I've drank in the Oak on and off for a long time. It's been a while but called in the other night. I've got to say well done to Richard who's the pub landlord because the Guinness I drank is the best I've had in years, and I enjoy pubs and know my Guinness! Best in Leeds and dare I say better than any Guinness I've had on trips to Dublin and Belfast. Please don't be a one off as I'm looking forward trying again soon!

Indeed, it is the eighth wonder of the world! With the biggest fixed outdoor pub screen in the uk! This truly the best beer garden in england! Traditional pub downstairs with THE most impressive beer garden in exsistance "I wish this review was a joke but alas, this is truly an iconic venue. Visit, you'll never want to leave." Also the guy with the pony tail that works there that is always smiling is always so nice!

man with the pony tail and sunglasses is repeatedly rude (think he’s a manager), never had a good experience with him. never polite or smiley, doesn’t treat staff particularly nice either. everyone else is lovely tho

What has happened to this place?! Lawn replaced with fake grass, soulless interior, all magic of a previously amazing venue lost, and silly prices.

Lovely atmosphere and great people

I attended a private function with my 5 year old autistic son. Unfortunately he experienced sensory overload which caused him distress. The staff went way above and beyond by providing a quiet space for him to calm down in and giving him a drink and some crisps free of charge. Being a parent of a child with his needs can be challenging, especially when out in public, so to receive the support I did was extremely humbling and appreciated. I would like to extend special thanks to Joe and Simon for the care they offered.

I work here and it's great for students and anybody Else who likes a drink and a meal 100% excellent service and the Best customer service ever.

The bouncer wanted to search me on suspicion of doing drugs in the toilet. I said I don't have drugs, but I don't consent to a search, so I'll leave. He said I either let him search me, or he will call the police. Then I told him to call the police, to which he let me leave. I'm fine with being asked to leave, it's the bluffing about calling the police and not letting me go at first that left a bad taste in my mouth. It's a shame because the food was actually good.

Brilliant pub in a lovely area. One, if not the most impressive beer gardens I have seen, with a massive outdoor screen for sports, with several outside bars. We were here for a gig and stumbled across this pub, and it is definitely a must visit! We arrived early in the day about 3pm, and my partner wanted some food to snack on. The chef was running late, so no food was available, we were about to leave when one of the staff members, Joe. Offered personally to cook us some chips to tide us over. This was a small gesture but much appreciated as we were running late for our gig. He was also very friendly and was happy to help with anything we needed. They are quite busy each weekend with students, but it seems there is a room for the students and one for the regulars, which I think is a great idea Beer was good, guinness was good. Overall, it was a lovely experience from a friendly pub.

Karaoke was a laugh but I bottled it

Just nipped in for some nibbles, excellent food and quick service, sat in the beer garden on a lovely sunny day.

Me sentí muy bienvenido en este pub debido al personal servicial, especialmente la hospitalidad de la camarera Caitlyn. Los porteros estaban en plena forma, impidiendo la entrada a todos los borrachos desordenadamente. Los precios eran competitivos pero no extorsivos. La comida era genial y cocinado a petición con mucho cuidado para mi alergia a los frutos secos, que de nuevo fue atendido por Cailtyn. En general recomendaría encarecidamente este pub a todo tipo de familias e incluso dejan entrar perros : )

Went in before a rhinos game so it was fairly busy. Good selection of drinks, friendly enough staff and a lot of space. Best place for a pre game drink in my opinion. Dropped a star because I asked for a fruit shoot for my kid and they have me j2o

Lovely beer garden and drinks, was disappointed on the day that they weren't serving their full menu but only doing a BBQ which was a bit pricey for a small beef burger that wasn't that tasty.

Nearly £9 for a shandy and a coke.... Toilets without soap and non-working hand-dryers. It's always just a bit meh. Poor pub, vastly overrated

Decided not to allow people doing otley run because of the football even though they’re the ones who keep you running every week and the football comes around once every so often.
