Origin Coffee (Scoresby Street) in Southwark

Necesitábamos un café. Encontramos esta cafetería un poco por accidente, así que no tenía expectativas previas. El café de temporada para el expreso era simplemente perfecto. Muy sabroso. Uno al que volver.

Visité con un amigo esta semana, que gran lugar. El café era excepcional, me recomendaron el vertido sobre que era tan suave y muy delicioso! Mi amiga tenía un chai latte que dijo que era genial. Estoy haciendo vegetariano así que me encantó la selección vegana, tuve un delicioso dolor vegano au chocolate, y un lindo pastel helado también. Mi amigo tenía una espinaca y pastel feta que era muy sabroso. El lugar tenía un flujo constante de clientes y el personal era amable, bien informado y muy servicial, una mención especial para Tom que se tomó el tiempo para explicar el origen del café que había pedido, y recomendar un segundo para probar. ¡También su arte del café con leche es increíble! Sin duda volveremos, nuestro nuevo lugar de café favorito! ¡Oh y definitivamente prueba el chocolate caliente! Teníamos un par para llevar ya que estaba helado y sin duda nos calentó en nuestro viaje! Muy recomendable

Just last year I would have given this coffee shop 5 stars. However after each visit in April I have left underwhelmed. Following yesterday's visit I will not be returning. The wait was over 15 minutes and one member of staff was exceptionally rude. Cold coffee is not worth £3.50.

After seeing the reviews the experience our visit was rather disappointing. The coffee was nothing to write home about and the despite arriving before 09:30 the pastry was stale, and when we raised this with the staff they were not interested, did not offer a replacement, alternative or refund. So would not recommend a visit and will not be making a return.

Skuffende. Rigtig god avocadomad og også god kaffe, men det pocherede æg var hårdkogt (det er et no go!) og vi fik aldrig den røgede laks, vi havde bestilt. Så til prisen er det ikke i orden.

We dropped in for coffee and stayed chatting under no pressure. The coffee is exceptional and the individual blends are distinctive. The coffee is ordered at the counter but brought to you hot and fresh. The staff are friendly and attentive even when the place is busy. We didn't eat but other people's brunches looked lush!

I’ve been amazed of the consistency of the quality of the coffee I’ve got with Origin’s . Indeed I had my favorites caffees in London, yet , over time, a lot of the so called speciality caffe’s do not keep the quality of the taste over time, with new staff coming in and leaving. Yet with Origin’s coffee , even if they new have had staff coming in , the managed to get the good quality all the time. The food is just really good and worth the price!

This is the best matcha in town by far. I am a matcha avid drinker and I have tried multiple locations but this beats them all. It would be perfect if you wouldn't have to pay extra for the oat milk.

We stumbled across Origin in Scoresby St on our way to another coffee shot. We decided to give it a go & for the last few months we've come 2 or so times a week. We love it. The food is good to great. The coffee is good - often great. The staff are fabulous. Warm pleasant helpful. Love it. It's a favourite. The only down side is the poor air con. For a few days in the summer it was intolerably hot - terrible for staff & poor for customers I can't see why the owners can't sort that out.

I'd heard good things about this place so thought I'd try it for lunch. It's a cool, relaxed space under the railway arches on a quiet side street. Staff were friendly enough. A lot of time has been spent getting the little things right, like style and shape of cups and glasses, so all very stylish. Coffee was decent though the blend was a little on the "sweet" side for my taste. I suspect it's a trendy enough place that they change the blend or you can ask for a different one. I decided to eat too and had their trio of salads. It was a good salad combo albeit it suffered from having been brought straight from the fridge so the flavours were impacted by temperature. Still reasonably tasty though. A good place to hang out. Not sure I'd chill here with a book to a rap soundtrack though.

This place takes its coffee serious and that result is super - and I am very particular when it comes to this. In addition the food we have had here has also been absolutely splendid. How often do you find this combination in one place? Hardly ever. The service is very friendly and professional, and the interior spot on. The only downside in my opinion, if I may nitpick, is the rather busy and stress music. Personally I would always rather be without background music. Not that this will keep me away. No way!

Lovely ambience & stylish cafe tucked away but boy is the coffee bitter! Didn’t matter how much additional milk I added, it was undrinkable. Scrambled eggs were lovely though

Probably the best place for cofein lovers. The most delicious matcha latte and cappuccino. Very friendly staff, food also looks good, unfortunately didn't have time to try. Strongly recommend that place.

Two mins walk from Southwark tube, tucked into a railway arch is this little gem. Went for the coffee (I’ve become a convert to Origin Coffee since visiting the Euston Road branch) and found really friendly staff and huge pain au raisin. Didn’t have time for lunch but the menu looked excellent!
