Had a standard cappuccino here and it would've cost me less to get a taxi to Lidl and make it myself. Probably would've tasted better too.

Ate here today and will definitely be back, delicious fresh ingredients, imaginatively put together with a result packed with flavour. We had a toastie, stew and roasted carrots with flatbread, all really good and good value for money. Loved loved loved my orange and pistachio polenta cake.

If you are only looking for a full English this probably won't appeal, but anyone wanting something a bit different this is a perfect breakfast/lunch spot. The two menus I have attached below are so unusual but the food is delicious. On my first visit I had the turmeric polenta with garlic mushrooms and leeks. It was so amazing I decided I couldn't leave without having the espresso loaf, ricotta and chocolate peanut butter sauce. Both were incredible. I didn't even think I liked polenta or peanut butter. Really friendly staff.

As usual the coffee at Origin is fantastic. Great service, laid back ambience, relaxing place to meet and chat. Great!

Visited on Afternoon Saturday 30/10 to grab some coffee.Young man and woman serving me saw fit to make derogatory and disrespectful comments about an innocent young lady stood outside. They are a disgrace to themselves and the Origin company they represent and I would say they have no place in the hospitality industry and need to grow up.

Dropped in here for coffee but wish we hadn’t bothered. The cups were extremely small and the coffee was lukewarm all for the price of £3 per cup ! Will not be returning

The food menu here is delicious, all fresh and locally sourced with some very unique options. It changes each week but I had basil mushrooms on sourdough with an incredible peanut brittle which I still think about today! If you are a fan of fruity black coffee you should definitely try their batch option 🍓 otherwise the espresso coffee is always good and changes from time to time. I’ve read some reviews that say it’s expensive. But I think it’s a good price for lovely service and knowing that origin coffee pay their farmers properly!!

The worst, extremely bitter tasting coffee I have ever experienced. Quite a trendy little place but if you want a decent coffee the McDonalds isn't far away

We had a flat white, which was possibly the smallest flat white I have ever had; good but small. We had a breakfast tea that came on a board with three "parts"! and two doughnuts - £13.00. Service was very slow indeed and although it was nice the price left me breathless!

Go here often due to lack of options in the area, but they never have much for vegans (some menu items but theres never cake). Always a great coffee though and most of the staff are awesome. On the whole it's always an OK experience but it's a shame they don't bother baking anything vegan- everywhere else puts the effort in so I usually go elsewhere for a coffee and a cake. In 2020 it's weird not to have picked up on the growing demand and notice the vegan Population!!

The food is fine but there is clearly a problem when it comes to the service, as others have noted. Further, I literally had my worst café experience ever here with an exceptionally rude (male) member of staff, so no, we definitely won’t be going here anymore.

Visited Origin with a friend a couple of Sundays ago. The iced lattes that we had were very nice and the food was lovely, I had a dish consisting of creamed spinach, toast and a poached duck egg. Clearly prepared with a lot of care, the chef brought out our food himself and deserves a pat on the back for his efforts. We both enjoyed our food and drink very much. The service from the ladies out front is not quite there though. Very slow and not particularly friendly. Unaware that we had no cutlery (the chef eventually brought us some), had to go on a hunt for salt and pepper, oblivious as to whether we had enjoyed our food and drink as we were not asked. I'll visit again, but hopefully service improves a bit.

I came here when it was relatively quiet - a late lunch on a miserable wet day. There weren't many people around, but I really loved the place - contemporary, smart and a comfortable place to unwind. Rather than have a coffee, I opted for the Thai Broth - which was aromatic, spicy and had oodles of flavour. Would love to come back.

Nearly always lovely coffee. One particular member of staff has totally forgotten my order a few times for as long as 40 odd minutes (i.e. ordered, paid, sat down, waited, smiled, even been asked if I was ok, thought the memory had been jogged...nothing). Maybe I should have asked sooner as to where it was but I didn't want to add stress to the situation. Has happened a few times. More staff needed to handle the early shifts.

Really enjoyed the menu choices and decor of this place. Had a delicious Granola with rhubarb and gooseberry compot. SO happy that there were multiple df milks to choose from. Will definitely be returning soon!

£6 for tea for 2? That would be expensive but if you got a nice pot enough to add extra water then you wouldn’t mind? ...however the tea came in a small glass vase (which was lovingly brewed for 3 minutes with leaves not bags ... I was spoken to like this is a new concept ) the cups were Chinese style and dinky. You could get one NORMAL sized cup out of it. So in essence £6 for a cup of tea (not s mug of tea may I add a cup!) You had no way of making it stronger or weaker as the leaves were drained. You have to remember that you are on a road on commercial street. You expect it to be a reasonable price and a little more down to earth .... you would use it more. Unfortunately I was asked if I would recommend and I have said no to a lot of people.Shame decor style is lovely. What I saw of portion sizes are tiny not a place to take anyone who is hungry.

This is the second time I have nipped in for lunch and again it was amazingly tasty food, really fresh with interesting food combinations. It’s pleasant inside, so you can eat as a couple, single or a small group. The position of the place isn’t the best and parking is a pain but it is worth the effort.

First time visiting after being highly recommended by friends. Popped in with a friend for coffee, and (as coffee enthusiasts) we were both very impressed! Delicious and beautifully presented. Lovely staff. Very cosy, modern, welcoming interior. Tried some of the Portuguese tart also and it was amazing. Will definitely return!

We visited this pub twice during our short visit as the food was so good and very reasonably priced. On our first visit we had the freshly caught cod and chips which really did look like a whale on a plate. Would highly recommend this place and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Very expensive for what it is!! Dry baguette with ham (tasty ham) and cheese, a bit of salad and coleslaw (not very fresh) and a flat white came to £13.70!!! So stunned at the price I just paid it. I live in Truro and certainly won't be going again!
