We were on holiday in Wooler. Got a Takeaway from here. I have to say that the English meal of Chicken and chips with mushrooms and gravy, is the best that we have ever had . It was absolutely delicious .

Visited here whilst on holiday nearby Phoned order in and was available within 30minutes Very large portions at a reasonable price and very flavoursome Would definitely recommend and will be back next time we’re in town !

We visited a few years back and the food was fine but what really made it was the ridiculously large portions at a reasonable price. Things change though. The portions now are standard size, the price has rocketed and the food was indifferent - apart from the chilli beef which was tough, over-salted and inedible. We were pretty disappointed.

Tried calling the oriental kitchen unable to get through, so decided I would take a drive along, stood in a queue waiting to order my food, they served the lady in front (who was a local) told her it would be 20 minutes, then my turn and he announced they would be taking no more orders for 2 hours😡😡😡with a line of people still waiting to get served. No apology for the trouble this is totally unacceptable business practice would not go there if they were the last Chinese on the planet

Ordered the food, told it would be 20 minutes which it was. Just about enough time to read the whole menu. Not the most refined Chinese cooking but a good feed all the same. Would we go back? Yes, hopefully on Saturday.

We had a take away from here one evening whilst on holiday. Chicken friend rice, sweet and sour chicken and beef chow mein were all nice. Loads of meat in them. Lacking a bit of taste which I cannot say for the crispy chilli beef. Wow! That will knock your socks off. We ended up throwing most of it out as way too hot for any of us. Not a long wait Was ok but not as tasty as our local in the south West.

I had the juiciest chicken breast meat I had ever eaten from a Chinese restaurant - cooked in the kitchen behind the counter. Very friendly service and swiftly cooked. Just the thing after a day in the hills.

Fab take away. Just right after a day on the beach. Would definitely recommend it. The gentleman taking the order was charming and very friendly.

Staff lovely food hot and tasty value for money we had no issues ordered and ready in 15mins... We had chicken fired rice beef chowmaine curry chips all red-hot

Tasty, massive portions, large spring roll exceptional. Very friendly staff, all round very pleased. Staying in Wooler and will definitely be back before holiday ends.

The worse take away we’ve ever had. The man on the phone was so rude, the food was honestly disgusting, binned most of it! The worse Chinese we’ve ever experienced.

My husband was amazed at his chow mein. Noodles were exactly as he likes them and the bean sprouts were still crisp. He said the beef tasted like steak and there were more King Prawns than he would have expected from a mixed dish. I had King Prawn, Chicken and mixed vegetable Sweet and Sour with fried rice. I really enjoyed it snd it was cooked beautifully but I would have preferred a slightly stronger flavoured sauce, although that is personal preference. Order was ready in the 15 minutes quoted and I was waved into the shop as soon as it was ready. My husband was disappointed we hadn’t gone earlier in our holiday so he could go again but it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Great takeaway! Have to say if you enjoy a spring roll these are the best ever! Massive, homemade and full of vegetables, a meal in themselves. Disappointed to read in other reviews that allergies aren’t catered for- this is simply untrue. The owner is excellent and hugely accommodating when it comes to allergies. My father is allergic to onions and the owner takes great care with his food and packs it separately. I, personally, am anaphylactic to fish and he takes the same great care with my food and I’ve never had any problems at all., in fact I prefer to come to this takeaway as I can fully trust that our allergies are treated with great care. The portions here are always generous and plenty of good quality meat in them (not the usual imitation stuff you find in some takeaways). I have been a regular customer here for years and will continue to be for many more to come.

Don't order the beef in oyster sauce. It is all bean sprouts with very little beef. Spare ribs are far too oily.

We were super impressed with our take away. We had Kung Po chicken and chicken in black bean sauce. Both were really tasty with huge chunks of good quality chicken. I didn’t try the noodles but apparently they were amazing!

Matched with some reviews I seen. Really low quantity and quality meat and portions produced on the cheap. The food was relatively low prices (£32 for a takeaway for 4 adults and 2 children) but the taste justified it. It's for tourists only (you wouldn't buy twice) and I'd recommend local bars or chip shop instead

Recently had a takeaway from here. The sweet and sour chicken was one of the best I have had. My wife had green chillies with mushrooms. Would recommend it and if we're in the area will visit again.

Really nice food, friendly owner. Highly recommend. It was all really good. The roast pork was amazing 😀👌🏻

Overall it was a decent experience. The chicken black bean was very strong (which is good!), the chicken balls were well done, the sweet/sour sauce was OK (a bit thin as other reviewers have commented), the boiled rice was good and the noodles were bland (again, as other reviewers thought). £18, for decent sized potions. So, we were happy with the whole thing.

This is the worst meal I have ever had in my life, how can you make a mess of House Special Chow Mein, How can anyone say this is good food Can not even rate this takeaway as disgusting is not a choice

TIP cash only!! We were staying in a cottage nearby and got a nasty shock when we tried to get into various restaurants and were told that the kitchens closed at 730/745/8 on a Sunday. Luckily this place was open. 3* for the food, 5* for value, 5* for service. The guy who took our order was super friendly, prices were very reasonable. The spring roll was in a thicker deep fried batter rather than the usual thin filo, but still tasted good! Kung Po chicken was a generous portion but could have done with more cashew nuts and chicken vs the veg. Nice to see boiled rice included in the price. Overall recommendation.

As a group of vegetarians we came across this online saying they catered well to vegetarians, so decided to give it a try... we shouldn’t have bothered! They had no interest in helping find the vegetarian options. If you’re vegan or have any food intolerances don’t even bother!

On holiday in Wooler ,2 of us had a take away meal from this establishment.I am.not a fussy eater,but i can honestly say it is the worst chinese meal i have ever tasted.The chow mein had absolutely no taste at all,a mixed meat cantonese style dish contained tough chunks of beef that looked like it had been roasted at some point,then chopped up and tossed in a pan.I ordered a spring roll,it was huge,with soggy batter.The meal for 2 of us cost £20 and most of it went in the bin.

We ordered from this takeaway whilst on holiday. The portions although generous were lacking in flavour, the chow mein was pale and had little taste whilst the curry sauce was thin and watery. Maybe we caught them on a bad/busy night?

Staying in Wooler for a week and thought we would try a takeaway.Really impressed with the food and the service.Our daughter loved her prawn curry, my wife had a really tasty chicken, chilli and black bean dish which she really enjoyed.My house special hot chilli was spectacular- spectacularly hot ( I could have ordered extra hot for 50p more!!) And full of lovely flavours and textures.Friendly service and well presented food.Thank you!

I ordered 2 portions of noodles, portion of curry sauce with chips. All separate. Only costed £9.75 and it tasted delicious 😋. The gent on the phone had excellent customer service

First impression was not good but ordered my meal and Wow!!!. So impressed I went back next day, by which time the restauranteur was much more chatty, and ordered a different meal half expecting it not to live up to expectations.. Boy was I wrong. Another Great meal and huge portion. Give it a try. {NB. Cash only}.

Rang my order in and a friendly chap took my order. I.d ordered nothing exotic ...Sweet n Sour Chicken with fried rice and Chicken Fried Rice + gravy (!) It was fine - just the same ss my local so okay for us. I.m not a regular Chinese take-away eater only tending to use them when on a cheap few days away break so not an expert (as my order shows) £15 for the lot. Good volume ...

Arrived at wooler staying at riverside leisure site. The caravan park. Was going to cook but cba. So looked at where to eat nearby. Chinese was opted for and ordered for 4 people. The food was picked up and we sat down to tuck into Ribs, garlic mushrooms, special curry, mixed meat with garlic, kung p.o. chicken and king prawn, king prawn black bean green pepper , and side of bean sprouts all with boiled rice. The food was tasty albeit the sauces were a little in the watery side. Very tasty tho. All went down well. Not gourmet but nice enough. Despite paying over £45. No free prawn crackers or anything else. Anyway worth a visit.

We had barbecue spare ribs to start, very oily, oil lying on top of what very little barbecue sauce there was. Sweet and Sour Chicken was chicken balls with sauce separate, sauce very vinegary. Beef in black bean and chilli sauce. Not much sauce very oily, the chilli was as if chilli flakes and very little black bean, Chips, very overcooked. Prawn crackers and fried rice were ok but a bit dry when you eat them on there own. We were at the local caravan site for a weekend, which we go to usually a couple of times a year, however we will not be visiting the Chinese take away next time we are there.

We ordered a chicken curry and a chow mein when visiting Wooler. The place was busy, this is always a good sign but the food was diabolical. The curry was watery and full of chicken lumps. The chow mein was greasy and again with full of lumps of meat in grease. It really wasn’t good at all.

We always look forward to coming to wooler just for the Chinese! Always so tasty and great portion size. Been coming for years now wouldn’t go anywhere else :-)

Shut Mondays except bank holidays!!! Shut Tuesdays. When open this is an excellent chinese take away, the portions are bursting out their containers. Well cooked food and I would recommend without hesitation.

Estuvimos en el parque de caravanas y fue a tan solo 5 minutos a pie de ir lejos. Una buena selección, algunos de un poco inusual y servido con una sonrisa. El chico detrás del mostrador era un personaje y los parroquianos todos le conocían por su nombre.

Pedimos comida en un fin de semana festivo. Me preguntaron si me hecho de pollo con sal y pimienta y nos dijeron que no. Que no estaba mal, el dueño es muy amable. Fuimos por los platos bien conocido. Chow Mein, dulce y agria Pollo y curry. La comida estaba bastante bien y rápido. Es un estándar para llevar chino. Yo no tendría prisa para volver, pero no puedo ponerlo.

Después de leer las críticas muy variadas en esta comida para llevar, que nos ponderó la oportunidad? Lo que pasa? . Nos topamos, y me alegra decir que no nos decepcionó. Comprar 3 comidas (no todas para mí me adhiero), y todo era delicioso, no...

Nada especial. Decepcionante comida insípida. Parecía tan concurrida como otras personas, obviamente. Quizás no a mi gusto.

No es excelente, pero no está mal y los precios son aceptables. Usaremos de nuevo, pero no será cantando sus alabanzas.

I was told that this Chinese take out was a bit hit and miss, however I thought i would give it a go!! And I'm sorry to say it's the worst so called Chinese take out I've ever had!! Don't miss understand me I did not expect fantastic or theatric Chinese food. I did expect the normal English designed menu for the English palet! Well I bought 3 dishes a satay a black bean mixed veg vegetarian and a garlic dish !!!! What a disaster !!! Satay dish was like a chip shop curry sauce even chips were rubbishy ???? Garlic dish was stale dried garlic no real effort to make it genuine Black bean dish was stale garlic used Ver disappointed I threw the food in the bin !!! I can only think that they get away with this poor food as no one knows any better I was so disappointed I felt like going back with the food and complaining which I would never normally do. They really need to up there game !! But maybe they don't need to as there is no competition any were near!! I wish the food had been so much better just mid range would have been fine, I don't expect the best in the world, I've traveled a lot and have eaten food in China Hong Kong and I would not expect the food from a take out in wooler to be any were near the quality of some of the restaurants I've eaten in!! However this take out is so poor it's a insult!!

Great takeaway. The food is good all at a decent price. The service is brilliant and friendly. If it is not busy you don't have to wait long

Wouldn't recommend this place. Very poor takeaway experience sadly. Didn't taste freshly cooked, noodles were the kind made with a kettle of boiling water and it just all made for a very poor meal!

Have been a regular for a long time and have never had a bad meal yet. Prompt service and great tasting food with good portions.
