Service was good, but the food I had was disgusting 🤢 The chicken was very chewy

Had spare ribs in capital sauce over cooked and couldn't eat them. Spice chicken in spicy sauce. Hard and could not eat them to. Called and made me out to feel like a lyer about the food. 33.30 order and I could get 10%of my next order. Next order is not going to happen.

Absolutely disgusting, called to say it was so salty we couldn’t eat it but they didn’t care at all. Don’t even bother with this Chinese.

Being a visitor to Ipswich,I decided to order a meal from oriental gourmet, and I must say the food was absolutely spot on. One of the best dishes I've tasted in a long while . Will definitely order again from here, next time I'm visiting . Brilliant service .

Went for a pickup order on the recommendation of a friend. I have heard good things. Ordered Szechuan Crispy Lamb, crispy shredded beef and special chow mien. I picked up and the order was ready on time, the staff polite and friendly. I arrived home most excited and plated up and had a fantastic meal watching cooking on youtube lol. My fam arrived home and I relayed my enjoyment insisting we have to eat from there again. Absolutely banging!!

Our new go to Chinese. Wonderful flavours, more spicy than other take outs, but that’s to our taste and there is an option to order less spicy. The Singapore noodles are the best we’ve had, and the satay sauce is amazing. Everything we’ve tried has been so good. Food was delivered on time and hot. We will be ordering again soon.

Food was the best..... I've tried quite a few Chinese takeaways in Ipswich, with some not tasting so good ended up being a waste of money 😔😮‍💨... But the food here 🤭🙃 oh my goodness it makes you want to eat your fingers. I have to say this is my new favourite🥰😍🤤

I was told there would be an additional charge of 50p for a purchase of a meal less than £10! Ordered quite a bit as recommended by a friend food was chewy crispy chili beef chicken was dry. Chicken curry was chewy. Chicken balls had some sort or green and brown colour within the batter. Phoned and complained a few days as wasn't a priority later just to say and tell them to be told too late nothing they can do won't be going back will stick to my normal takaway

Ordered special curry ...got onion soup very disappointed.

We ordered using the app but there was a fault and they emailed me. I rang them to confirm our order and they were so good to us - they delivered it and it was earlier than planned! Thank you to everyone at Oriental Gourmet for being so helpful and quick.

Best vegan chinese in Ipswich, be sure you ask for stuff without egg etc... and they will deliver. Delicious, value for money, incredible tofu. Seaweed good, spring rolls good. Blackbean tofu good. Vegetarian set meal for two good. Hot and sour soup goooood.

Really bad customer service and management . We have been using this take away for two years as regular customers on most Saturday evenings but during the last month they have been a real let down , an hour and a half for deliveries to arrive , incomplete order and what really topped things off this week is that a dish we ordered came as something different to what we had ordered , after calling them up to explain that we didn't have the right dish we were told that they would only bring another dish out if we paid the 80p difference between the dish we received and the original dish , we tried to argue this as the order was a large order of £60 and being regular customers but the person on the phone wasn't backing down so we just agreed to pay the 80p . When the delivery guy arrived at the door half an hour later with the New dish he explained that his manager wanted the old dish back or we were required to pay £4.80 for the new dish ! We actually couldn't believe our ears ..some of the meal that they previously delivered had been eaten as we weren't expecting to have to return a dish that had been cooked over an hour ago . It seemed very petty and no way to run a successful business . My husband told the delivery driver to tell his boss that we won't be giving them further custom .It appears that the company has new owners which is a shame as they don't seem to have the customer service of the previous owners . We will not be returning and will take our business elsewhere .

food arrived and everything was cold. Prawn crackers were rock hard, probably old. Food was overly greasy. I'm not a fussy eater this was genuinely bad. Phoned up to complain and was told I was lying, staff didn't really care and said "I just work here I'm not the boss" no help whatsoever. 1 star is generous

I'm a loyal customer to this place and tonight I ordered some food on just eat. It said on the app that the were open, when I finished my order it says they were shut. So, I ring up the place to ask a simple question and all I get is a torrent of abuse and shouting from the woman down the phone 😮😮.. I've never been so shocked in my life. I had to ring back twice because she put the phone down on me. Even when I said to her that I was speaking calmly and politely and only wanted to know if they were or were not open for delivery she shouts at me telling me I shouldn't be telling her and should talk to just eat. I'm absolutely shocked to be honest. I won't be giving them my money ever again. Shocking customer service and shocking behaviour.
