Great food, very good service amazing value. Friendly staff, my regular Chinese wouldn’t go to another one!

Disgusting, awful, dry and cold Nothing to enjoy Will not order from here again - don’t waste your money

I haven’t ordered from Oriental Express in a while but decided to try them again after many many disappointing experiences from other Chinese Takeaways. I’m so glad I did as it was the best Chinese takeaway my husband and I have had in ages. The food tasted authentic - not like some others I have tried. It was lovely and hot, the spare ribs had plenty of sauce, the chips were nice and crispy, the prawn curry had just the right amount of spice and the chicken with Chinese vegetables was lovely as well. Reasonably priced - will definitely go back there.

I have used this takeaway for over 30 years.It has always been excellent. But not last night. The kung po chicken was completely tasteless- no spice to it at all. Completely different to how it should be and how it usually is from here. It was also full of diced carrot. I completely accept the difficulties of the industry in these times of inflated energy prices and food costs but any company cutting corners like this risks losing their reputation. A really disappointing meal, I would hesitate to order from here again.

2 hour wait for delivery, told 30 to 40 minutes. Food cold, lacking meat in all dishes, crispy duck un-eatable. This is the second time and will be the last.

I order from this restaurant regularly and it’s always fast pick up and excellent food and great value , I wouldn’t go to any other restaurant

I ordered a takeaway at 5.15, was informed it would be 45 mins. I was still waiting over an hour and told the driver is on his way? If I had known it was going to take that long I would have picked it up myself (20 mins for collection.) If you are hungry make sure you collect it yourself !!! When the food finally arrived it wasn't very nice the mushrooms in one of the dishes tasted like their sell by date was overdue, the chips had seen better days too. Won't be ordering from there again!!!!

Great food, great service, good value. I have had Chinese food in many locations here in the uk and abroad and this rates amongst the best. My family are quite fussy eaters but they loved it. Highly recommended.

The worse Chinese take away food I ever had,.spare ribs no marinade or sauce as it should had come with the looked like the been served several times and came back old! sweet and sour pork where hard as a rock,the prawns where like rubber and the letters it came in I would not give to a rabbit.Absolutly disgusting , would have been better of to give the 30 pounds to charity

Granted was a Tuesday but is that an excuse? Chow mein was all stuck together in a big lump, seemed reheated maybe. Chicken balls where more like dough balls. Definitely reheated. Go to lucky house down the road. Far superior.

Family ran clearly, they have delivered to us several times during lock down, delivery was fair every time, we had one time there was a hold up and they let us know and sent us an apology, the review option flagged on notifications and I saw one before that was strange to read, we have enjoyed every meal, the service was polite, and they gave us descriptions, dishes were changed for our kids fuss, and that one time it was explained and understandable that from being quiet to suddenly over run over night, they rang us and sent us a free dish, we got fortune cookies which were a great surprise for the kids esp. at this strange time, we are new customers because our local was closed, we had no problem with any of the food, cooked right before we received because our crispy chicken was amazing. we added extra spice a time and it was spot on. the rice fresh, all dishes were fresh and tasty. I forgot to order the prawn crackers and was pleasantly surprised that we got some free too. Thank you was sent after because it was due. Proper troopers & found out on ringing after its a long serving takeaway, kitchen staff have worked so hard. Has been a pleasure and you've gained new customers in us. Such cheap delivery and good price of food too, Quality. Thanks to you all. key workers wearing masks and gloves too, considerate with distance and payment. seems standard attitude to us by all of the staff. Thanks again.

I would award this takeaway with a 0 star rating if it were possible. Our takeaway arrived 2 hrs after ordering. It was extremely soggy. We ordered crispy beef as one of the mains. We were told it was our fault that it was soggy because the delivery time was 10 mins drive away. It had gone soggy in 10 minutes of it being delivered. Seriously beyond a joke. The noodles were vile. Full of oil. They argued the fact that no one ever complains. But by all of your terrible reviews I beg to differ. We should have checked reviews before ordering. I ask for a full refund but they refused. The whole takeaway went in the bin and we are £25 down. Stay away!!! Big foodie who we ordered through were no help what's so ever. Terrible service.

I don't do reviews but felt I should. My husband and I have used this shop for 18 years. The curry sauce is obviously fresh and with the right spice, they have changed the heat for my daughter before. I forgot to add a sauce that we usually change and the staff remembered from a month before as we order for a treat not weekly. Our chips have never been anything but delicious as with the rest of the food, the salt is always left out of a dish for my Son with no question and we often order smaller portions when my husband fancies some chicken balls, Oriental have such a flexible menu, Is clean, an open kitchen looks always fresh and quality meat always I feel compelled after reading some quite bitter remarks to say that in 18 years we have not had one ad experience. And the prices have hardly changed. Some shocking others have been experienced but if you can't say anything nice and all. This was not a stretch to be kind. Lovely people. Fortune cookies for the kids great new addition.

olutely awful Chinese, the crispy duck was so over reheated it was rock hard, the cucumber was all soggy and had obviously been sliced some days, the curry sauce tasted of aniseed it was horrible and the yuk shung was smelly of steamed veg it was overall the worst takeaway I ever had and the only reason i went was that my usual takeaway doesn’t open on a Monday ;( would rather go hungry than order from there again.

Ordered many times before, only decided to do a review here as there is only one review and it’s absolute false making me think they just of went to some place else. We ordered a set meal A and all I can say is that everything was as we expected as per usual. The rice was very nice and not oily as the review before this mentioned. The shanghai chicken was excellent mixing with the rice very well. The spring rolls was once again great as it was big and crispy as I expected it to be! I’ll be surely back again some time soon no doubt!

Chips too salty, chicken fried rice too greasy, isnt tge 1st time i have mentioned putting less salt on. Doesnt seem to have been listening. Oh well
