Ordered collection today, food was ready in 15 mins and 15 minute drive home food was still piping hot. Don't listen to the negative reviews it's just broke chavs on benefits that are crying that they didn't get a refund for free food. Highly recommend, food itself was really good, huge portion me and my partner was barely able to finish the food. Don't let the atmosphere of the place put you off

Ew ew And ew either they’ve had new owners or completely given up as the last time I ordered a few years ago it was beautiful. Now I don’t know what to say

The food was decent overall, but the duck was too dry, and even the plum sauce couldn't save it. The portion of duck was also small; for £8.60, you get less than half of a small box (whereas you can buy a whole duck from the shop for £9.) The house special chow mein was a bit tasteless; I had to add soy sauce and pepper to make it enjoyable. The pork had a very strong taste, likely due to an excessive amount of vinegar or a similar acidic ingredient. Delivery took around 45 minutes and arrived on time. This was our first and probably last time trying it, as we were not impressed at all.

Ordered for collection. Smallest main meal portion I've ever had from a chinese. Food was prepared quickly, staff were polite and the waiting area was good. Reply: my order no was 869568742. The main was a crispy beef. It came in a small plastic container which was barely half full. The same with the crispy duck appetiser. I will say it will very nicely cooked and I enjoyed the flavour. The only issue being the portion size is not sufficient to be selling and costing as a main.

Very tasty and delivered at the promised time (via Just Eat). Szechuan prawns were just nicely spicy, spare ribs were smallish pieces but perfectly cooked. Sweet and sour chicken balls were enormous, hot and crispy.

Duck was driest I've ever I love aromatic duck so extremely disappointed after food arrived and it was cold and over an hour late. Rude replies when given feed back. I never ask for refund but fortunately when i sent uber pictures they refunded it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

I love aromatic duck. Can safely say this was the worst ive ever had, it was all way too crispy overfried fat. What little meat was there was also dry and overcooked. The food was 35 minutes late and cold when it arrived. The five in one combo with chow mein, spring rolls, chips and rice was the only saving grace. Overall wish I could get my £25 back Replying: Im not lying. Awful customer service as well I see. I did take a picture it wont let me add photos though. uber eats saw it and gave me a full refund. Bye bye anyone reading this order elsewhere 👍

Thrid time of ordering here. The food tasted great as usual. The only thing that let them down was that we ordered at 6pm and it didn't come until 8pm. No update or anything. Other rake aways jave managed to ring when they are running late. I do understand tale aways can get busy. But it would be nice to know they are actually going to arrive. I did ring up at 7.20pm to which the lady said she was just starting to cook the food.

First time ordering and the last, disgusting chicken curry, taste and looked like it been watered down curry isnt suppose to be light at first i thought it was sweet source, so bland its rank.mushroom chow mein no flavour not impressed worst Chinese ive had,

Some items are a bit hit and miss.. the vermicelli veggie option portion sizes are always different mostly its half a container sometimes a bit disappointing considering the price however I have to say that if they gave out awards for the best curry sauce ever they definitely would win.. overall a good experience

Five stars every time. The food is so delicious, made to order with our custom request every time and dispatched/delivered really quickly. We recommend them to all our friends and would never order from any other Chinese.

Absolutely fast service and the food was fantastic again 👍 after recently moving to the area I’ve tried many… this is the best by far. If you order relatively early in the evening the service is excellent… I find it disappointing that people have left negative reviews ?. I guess they get busy later at night and people get impatient especially after probably a few drinks . Unless you’re staying at the Savoy Hotel in London… I don’t see any reason to make complain to these guys during busy periods. 10/10 from me 👍 keep up the lovely food …. Recommended

If you want a typical Chinese/Cantonese takeaway, don't even bother. I had chicken chow mein & it just tasted of salt. Not a typical chow mein flavour. My other half had a special curry, & there was nothing special about it. It was red & you could tell there was a lot of thickener in it, again, not the typical Chinese curry colour or flavour.

Tastes nice but this is meant to be a main. Unbelievably small portion. Almost a quid a strip.. starving!

The food was beautiful but a few hours later I was bringing it back up with diarrhoea. I am disgusted in this place and I'd like to go as far as closing the place down because it's just unacceptable. 1 stars DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Absolutely amazing food. Best Chinese food we have had in a long time. Extremely tasty. Delivery was fast and service was excellent.

Never ordered from here before even though I live 5 minutes away,the food portion was hug,red hot and bloody beautiful, definitely be ordering from here again....ignore the negative reviews!!!

The crispy duck was just pieces of fat and that put me off eating the meat in our special curry , the egg fried rice was very dark in colour and had a strange taste to it, meal was a whole £8 more expensive than our usual place for exactly the same order , but on the upside the delivery driver was great! Maybe it’s jus our tastes but definitely wil not order again unfortunately, see how much food I left in the photo and that’s not like me :(

New Champions Kitchen order by Just Eat for delivery was on time and very very tasty, large portions, the chicken in lemon sauce was splendid

First time ordering and won’t be doing that again! Lemon crispy chicken was hard, sausages were pink inside and the rice and chow mein were inedible. Everything smelt and taste exactly the same! £40 in the bin! The only thing that was ok were the chips!

Absolutely will not use again chicken not cooked properly had set meal for 1 disgusting 14 pound ended up in the bin 😑

Absolute rubbish, have ordered food from 3 times recently, ordered today 20/11/22 and it didn’t arrive, was told driver rang 20 times but hadn’t don’t why they couldn’t be bothered to even ring the doorbell, when we rang the Chinese take away was met with very disgusting attitude, I would only say I’ll never order again and would advise anyone else to avoid like the plague

I ordered a few weeks ago and I was really impressed. I ordered again today and unfortunately I’ve got to say I was quite disappointed, it tasted nice but nowhere near a full serving. Bit annoying, especially when you’re on a tight budget.

Absolutely disgusting, sent us king prawn instead of salt n pepper chicken they rang us and told us to take it back...black pepper sauce tastered like clogged gravy, Singapore fried rice was bland, all food was luke warm, will not be using champion kitchen again...

Fantastic food however let down by the disgusting attitude of the delivery driver who refused to apologise for her disgusting manner in which she askied me to move my car because it was apparently blocking her access from the vacinity. When complained to the restaurant the establishment Didn’t seem too bothered by her attitude and it didn’t seem a to surprise them. If this review was Based on food solely I would give them full marks but this review is based on the whole experience and the establishments customer service is extremely poor given the surprise to the driver attitude. Given the competition Order elsewhere I would advised

First and last time every thing was pinged chips where hard and not very nice avoid waste of money

meal ordered for 6pm came on time . ordered vegetable fried rice,chicken chow mean, shredded chicken in a honey glazed sauce and chips .. came very hot..fresh .fantastic meal as always ..well done to the owners and staff ..

First time having food from here, was very nice; however, the chips and chicken balls were quite dry (over cooked)

Had to wait almost 2 hours for food. when it came we had to reheat it as it wasn't hot.. really disappointed in the food and service. when I phoned up to inquire where it was, it was like they had forgotten about us. was quite rude over the phone. the delivery bloke well he was lovely.

New Champions' Kitchen still only takes cash, they mention this when you place an order, new menu since our last visit and the prices have increased, but the quick service and very tasty dishes are worth an order. Kung Po Chicken splendid.

Best Chinese in the entirety of Derby, since finding this place last year I've ordered dozens of times and never ordered anywhere else and even got family ordering from here as their main place as they all agreed it's the best Chinese they've ever had. 10/10 every time.

Very disappointed with the service from Champions Kitchen. We order regularly as we work long hours and the convenience suits us. We placed an order and asked for delivery. The food arrived hot as usual. No complaint there. The driver asked for £17.00 and we paid £20.00 as we always tip. Shortly after tucking in, we had a call from the owners to say that we had been under charged and they asked to send the driver back for..... £2.00. We always over pay and quite generously. Not any more. Sorry Champions Kitchen. I’ll no longer be ordering food from you again after being so loyal and over paying your drivers every single time.

Its rank got food poisoning chicken slimey and noodles were off rank

Just had a chicken curry from here I must say it wasn't good the chicken was full of water and uncooked

First time i order from here and food was amazing. Fresh hot the lot. Came on time. Great prices. Only 1 thing, dont put to much salt on chips. Other than that was 5/5 Thank you.

Friends recommended New Champions' Kitchen and glad they did, the ordering process online or by phone was easy, placed order and collected hot tasty food. Plenty of choices on the menu and cash only payment when collecting.

This is our no1 favourite Chinese takeaway and refuse to order anywhere else. Food is always fresh and delicious and delivery is usually fast. Even on busy days we do not mind the wait as it’s worth it.

I work here and I eat here. Its absolutely amazing, staff are brilliant and friendly and the food is the best I've ever had from any takeaway place I've ever been too. 10 * if I could.

I used to work here. Both couple were really accommodating and polite. Never let me down. I hope the Best to both of them. The food here was super delicious and filling portion sizes. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could... Thanks so much!

Terrible food. Tastes like it's been reheated. Chips were not fresh tasted like they had been cooked in microwave. Chicken balls not cooked properly. Contacted them and they don't want to know. Rice was mushy and tasted old Avoid! Edit: the response below is just further evidence of poor customer service and what you can expect. Returned the food along with a picture of the rest of the food in a bin.. Shop needs to learn that things can go wrong. But it's the way you deal with it. Telling me driver will. Pick up. Some time in next 4 hours is clearly unacceptable. I wouldn't serve the food to a dog, so please don't try and say we ate most of it. The food was disgusting and what had been dished on plates thrown in the bin. You do realize arguing with customers as I can see from your other poor reviews makes people want to avoid you more?

Food was not as good as expected. Customer service could do with some work. They did refund the order in the end so that's one positive.

The menu item, C1, meal for one can easily feed two people. The crispy chicken in sweet and sour sauce was phenomenal. I would recommend this take out for people nearby.

I ordered a chicken chow main and they brought us chicken cope suey so we called back and asked for chicken chow mein in sauce and they brought it dry... really rude when I was talking on the phone to them. then they said I'll ring you back in 5 minutes

This place is a disgrace do not order anything from this place. Customer service not want to argue with the customer? Refuse to refund and just eat should stop using this place .

I've been ordering from from here for awhile now it's the best Chinese take-away around what we've all had in this household. We order every week with no problem what so ever, and look forward every time we order. I would recommend New Champions kitchen to my friends and anyone I come across because they're missing out on this delicious food, chief and staff. :)

Nice food I recommend the noodles and spare ribs are ESPECIALLY GOOD they are cooked with care and taste delicious if you do buy food here I bet you'll enjoy YOU MUST TRY
