AMAZING food and service thank you!!!!!!

Food was very nice and good quality great selection lots to choose from will definitely visit again. Really enjoyed the dumplings and the chicken curry good flavour the Thai green curry had just the right amount of spice.

Lovely food but ridiculous prices 2 wonton soup ,roast pork chowmein for one ,prawn crackers and 2 pancake rolls came to £32,ordered via uber eats,recently gave a positive review but this is stupid!!!!!!

Restaurant cancelled my order Edit: Excuse is wholly disappointing, much like the service, or lack thereof. The option should not be presented to the customer where the vendor cannot fulfil their obligation.

Used to love this place! I usually order the chair siu pork because it's one of the few places that does it but this time I don't even know if it was pork but I don't know what else it could have been. Rice was good but chow mein was very bland too, probably won't order again which is a shame because of how close by and reliable they've previously been

Ordered a box of food. Contained bbq ribs, spring rolls ,chicken nuggets things, some other item I didn't recognise, chips sweet and sour sauce, curry sauce. It was awful. Every item dry and over cooked. Looked as if they'd chucked everything they couldn't sell during the day into box rather than bin. (I threw in bin) Lesson learnt

Great customer service as I had ordered the wrong thing and a phone call from New Golden House put it right. Crispy duck is amazing. Food quality and quantity superb as always. Thank you.

Lovely food and Chinese but not great on delivery time. Came 45 mins before ‘Just Eat’ estimated and didn’t tell me it was on its way until have it had been arrived for 20 minutes. Lovely food though

We fill in the comments section every time we order but they didnt read it and we couldn’t eat the food due to having prawns in the food and being allergic, just eat won’t even give any compensation

I stopped going into this establishment when I saw a very large fish on display that was housed in a very small tank. So small it couldn't turn around.. I now have been informed this poor fish has died.. What a very sad shirt existence this fish had

Would not give this even 1 star. Ordered a chicken chow mein without carrot even though on ordering said no carrot. Beef curry absolutely disgusting rang & complained about the beef being so tough said we only use topside of beef..... Absolutely rubbish would not feed this to a dog. Complaint not dealt with efficiently Would not buy from this establishment ever again DISGUSTING!

The sweet and sour chicken was great but the chips were not very satisfying but on the whole this is one of my favourite places.

Always order from here, but this time it wasnt very warm and i had to microwave all of it.. chips were beyond saving.. not impressed, hopefully next time it will be back to normal..

Egg fried rice tasted and smelt stale we all left it. Chips were old. Usually good here but not this time.

The food was not great. My chicken chow mein meat tasted old, was very oily and bland. The pineapple fritters batter was soft and so had to peel the batter off to eat it.

All food was cold, chicken balls and chips were soggy and needed to go in air fryer to get crispy, crispy shredded beef wasn’t crispy at all. Very disappointed and not worth the money

Order was late. Food was cold and tasted bland and not very nice. The chicken in the chow mein was tough and didn’t taste very nice.

Food was awesome very filling , cooked on point, chips were lush , prawn crackers were nice and crunchy , chow Mein was very tasty , delivered early definitely coming here again! Compliments to the chef ☺️

I have been using this Chinese for a long time and up till now I've been a happy customer , lovely lady always answered the phone politely and helpful and when asked for sea food to be removed from a dish she took the time to check it was because of an allergy , however tonight I order after not ordering for a while and a man answered the phone with not the best customer service skills just "Hello" so I have to ask as they normally tell u is this golden house also when asked them no prawns in my dish I wasn't asked if It was an allergy , feel there standard's have slipped ☹️

Not happy that the delivery driver as per instruction did not call me to say they have arrived with my food I ordered. I live in a shared house and being occupant in a upstairs room cannot hear the front door being knocked. I have never had this problem before and I hope this was a one off.

Really very sad for the very large fish in the tank .please do the decent thing and release it . It is a shame the way it lives. Anyone reading this that can help it please ASAP.. Thank-you.

just had the chicken chow mein... wow by far the best chow mein I've ever had

I really don’t like to leave negative reviews but after driving round half of Derby looking for a Chinese that was open last Wednesday having just returned from holiday we settled on this place not to far from where we live. I ordered crispy shredded beef, yeung chow fried rice, Singapore chow mien, curry sauce and chips. It was quite reasonably priced at around £21. When I got home and opened the crispy shredded beef I was very disappointed, it looked grey in a light brown sauce (not the red/orange I’m used to) and there was a slightly off smell about it. I couldn’t eat it. The fried rice was ok (pretty standard) and the noodles were good (very spicy), the chips and curry sauce were ok too but overall it was very greasy and seemed abit off. I wouldn’t go here again. Note to customers the go in to order they only accept cash not cards. Also they have a fish tank that made me sad as there was a huge fish it it, way too big for the tank (like half the size of the tank) and a lonely turtle among some other sad looking fish.

The food is excellent well worth going to for a takeaway the staff are very friendly and helpful good value for the money

No complaints about the food. However their current delivery driver seems to think it’s ok to take your money and walk away without giving you any change. Made my meal a lot more expensive than I was planning on. Phoned the takeaway to report it, they said they’d speak to him but didn’t get back to me. Puts me off ordering to be delivered again.

Best Chinese food I have ever had, and it is consistantly good...

Always well cooked food and quick to collect. If you become regular they will go the extra mile to accommodate your preferences even if you forget to put them down while ordering. An example : last night we forgot to mention no onions and chili flakes on our platter so when I got there to collect they already knew my preference from previous orders and that made me feel very happy :). Will visit them again and again every week !

Not sure what's happened but this used to be a really nice Chinese full of flavour full of ingredients, rice is very bland , chicken satay was very watery consisted of mainly onions, chicken was awful, tasteless and was not worth the money. Delivery time was brilliant and food was hot that's the only good things I have to say on it really.

Very good Beef Fried Rice and House Special Fried Rice (Dry). Very nice lady at the till. Can order by phone for pickup, but can only pay cash for that. Can also order online and that takes card.

Used this chinese a few times and always had good quality food. We pre-order and it always arrived when they said. The portions are not the cheapest but are of good size and quality. This has become our go to restaurant for a Chinese.

my mum oreded a meal 2 b deiived 4 her t who as been very poorly lately they sent her the wrong food when she rang the shop 2 tell them they was very rude 2 her and twice but the phone down on her

This place has delivered well before stated. Hot food. Fresh food. And well that tasty i could have eaten until i was ill! Not 1 complaint from me nor three of my kids who finished my order because i was over full which means portion sizes are huge! Definitely ordering again

Tried to order set meal on phone explained I CANNOT eat rice asked for noodles instead only one portion completely plain was told no we don’t alter set menus at all this is offensive to people with allergy’s and as a chef noodles cost a lot less than rice I think their set meals are ready made and microwaved to be sent out Offensive and impolite staff said they are a company but advertise as family business Really just look after your locals who are perminsnt residents trust me they are making a big mistake if they are looking after students this year think Covid lockdown 2

I found the place dated and need of a good clean The lady serving was very nice but had a cough which put me off. The food was average. I wouldn't go again.

Beef in black bean sauce ordered tonight. It was unedible, the beef was raw and the sauce was absolutely tasteless. Complained via phone, but got no customer sevice whatsoever, they just wanted to carry on with churning out awful home delivery meals. Not recommended!!!

Food was brilliant and nice and hot

ordered from here a few times and never had a problem with the food, however on this occasion we ordered a 1.5l bottle of coke and received a 550ml one, to which we rang and complained and the woman (who was very nice on the phone) told me she'd send a delivery man out ASAP, we waited half an hour and eventually received a call from the delivery driver saying he'd be '12 minutes', within 5 minutes he rang me shouting down the phone that i was wasting his time and he had other things to do! demanding to know which flat i was in (living in student accommodation i told him we would go down as he cant get past the barrier for security reasons). my boyfriend then ran down to get it only to be met with the delivery man shouting at him and swearing at him in polish (which he knows) handing him the coke and then walked away talking under his breath. the food here is lovely but the delivery customer service is appalling

Ordered spare ribs (plural) and got 'a' spare rib...black pepper sauce was colour of tar and tasted the same... I'm local and tried it when my my local Chinese is closed... I'm willing to wait for Dragon express (mackworth , derby) to open and order on those days when I can get there food

I've heard mixed reviews from a lot of people but this Chinese is my favourite in Derby the food is delicious always delivered within the time given and if any problems staff are fantastic

I absolutely loved the food. The delivery was on time and the staff were friendly. I'm usually quite picky when it comes to takeaways, but I couldn't find any fault with my order. The food wasn't greasy at all. Will definitely order from gere again.

Never once have they delivered within the 'promised hour', after 3 phone calls chasing our delivery, and being told they were very busy, we finally got our order 2 hours later!

Over an hour and a half deliver time, 4 frustrating phone calls later and a driver who drove off rather than get the receipt he was asked for,,, It was actually nothing but stress and hassle, wish id read the bad reviews here first.

I have always found the staff helpful and the food is always of a good standard, granted its not brompton road London quality, but we are in Derby. I feel its good value for money and they are a lovely young family who run it.
