Oriental Delight in Gravesham

This is genuinely the best Restaurant I have ever been to. The food at this restaurant is so scrumptious, fresh and rich in taste and flavour. It had a wonderful aroma and the menu is great for anyone that's a bit picky, since they have like a hundred dishes to choose from. The food is always immaculate, and the service is even better. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and I have never once heard them say anything rude or out of the ordinary. I bet the owners are just as lovely, if not lovelier. I have probably ordered food from here 10 times now, and I am glad to say I will definitely continue to. The dishes that I recommend, would be: •Satay Chicken on Skewers (with extra sauce, it's soooo good) •Egg Fried Rice •Singapore Vegetarian Vermicelli (my personal favourite) •Vegetable Curry (with tofu) •Mixed Vegetable Chow Mein (with tofu) Everything about this restaurant is amazing, and I have never had any problem that have occurred. I hope this restaurant becomes well-known and expands into a bigger shop, since I definitely think they should. Now, it may seem like I am overreacting, but honestly, this is the best Chinese Cuisine in the UK. I can't imagine a place better than Oriental Delight. It should be a 5 star Michelin restaurant at this point. I'm not sure how to post a picture, which is sad because I had a picture ready to add to this lengthy review. I can't wait to eat from Oriental Delight again. This concludes my review, and I am also proud to say that this is my first ans only google review (probabaly). And only for Oriental Delight, because it's the best.

I have no clue what's going on but I've ordered from here for years but after last night's order I'm not ordering again from here the chicken was tough curry sauce had hardly any curry flavour rice was dry and chicken balls the coating was over done nothing felt or tasted fresh I was sick a hour later after eating it and had bad tummy all night could not sleep properly

Great meal as most times..but tonight we bought chips for the kids .they were rock hard .tasted rank .think they reheated last nights one's. Live and learn .

First time ordering from here. I would say value for money. The chilli oil is the best in the Gravesend/ Northfleet. The chilli oil was soft not hard and flaky like other competitors. The roast duck with boiled rice was a good portion but if ordering next time I will ask them o make the boiled rice a little softer and opt for more sauce. The sauce was too scarce. I ordered Singapore fried rice. The best I have had in the area because they got the curry powder taste I like but the ingredients aswell was a little scarce. Overall I will try them again the food was good,

Sadly everything was either over cooked or probably double cooked and rubbery or very greasy. The rice wasn’t great and I’ve never tasted vegetable chow mein as bad.

They didn't get me the beef and black bean sauce and thinking that we already paid the meal they charge us more for it.

Quick delivery, was very hot and tasted delicious. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the rice but everything else was sooo good!

Ordered a plain omelet for our vegetarian daughter unfortunately they sent a chicken one which she realised once she ate a bite!!

Early Sunday evening when I dropped in and placed my order. Service was good and did not have to wait long for the food. Dishes were of a good size and tasted good - no problems at all.

Ordered here 20 -30 mins before we came to pick up they got it wrong put it as a delivery so we waited for food to be cooked only to come home get the order wrong and miss item we ordered phoned them up and they denied we ordered that item overall very poor service

This is a very good Chinese takeaway that should really have a higher rating on google. Have ordered from here a few times and found the food to be fresh, tasty and with quality ingredients (the tofu is of excellent quality) with friendly staff who I’ve spoken to on the phone. Will order again soon.

Liked there food used twice recently for delivery about to order again and says my address is to far even though charging £3 and I'm in gravesend so can't order again

I would most definitely recommend this Chinese without a doubt!!... our food was not only piping hot & taste AMAZING but looked fresh and clean! I honestly couldnt rate it any higher. FAB:)

First time of using and will definately use again. Great, friendly delivery driver, the food was very hot and tasty as it should be. Ribs were amazing, definately recommend those. Best we have had in a long while.

I ordered here after Writing both good and bad reviews I said I wouldn’t order from here again But my brother and girl friend got one from here a few months back n boy delicious Ordered one tonight 15th feb 2020 n the sweet n sour HK style was bland the noodles and egg fried rice both tasteless the salt n paper chips where ok Although there was plenty of meat not much point when it not tasty Also for near on £20 without my valentine just eat discount and a can of coke 😀 Far Tastier at lucky jade and believe it or not far better value Great shame really as this place could be great what is it do you have different chefs in different nights really sort it out!!

I must say that this used to be a very nice Chinese takeaway but after not ordering from here for a while I was very dissatisfied Wondering what has happened??? the ribs were very salty very bland the sweet-and-sour sauce was just very vinegary n tasteless Also tasted of cornflower the special curry was lacking in meat as other reviews stated I must agree Even the rice wasn’t great n I’ve always defended this place Pull ur finger out n sort it out guys not worth the money on this Occasion and waiting over an hour for delivery

Was looking for a decent chinese takwaway. Oriental Delight Rochester Way was suggested by a friend who told me it was good and also under new management. Knowing myself and realising how i am fussier than most, i was apprehensive, yet willing to try. Well, so very glad i did. Its got my 5 star rating. I have never written a review before, but Oriental Delight Gravesend deserves recognition, so here it is!

The food was delicious and hot. The portion sizes are not as big as other restaurants, though not small, but I think this might be reflected in really good quality ingredients.

Went here today as it’s under new management, well, had a special curry a few lumps of meat 1 prawn, onions served in this runny brown stuff which tastes of raw stock cubes accompanied by a layer of reddish fat I think it’s meant to be curry sauce? Had special fried rice, nothing special here, very greasy with a few bits, only thing I could recognise was the peas. As a side I had satay chicken on skewers, the chicken was perfectly square all four bits were exactly the same size obviously processed, the sauce was surprisingly good, had 2 tiny bits of green pepper and a small piece of onion which probably fell in the pan! I don’t like putting people’s business down but this has to be said. Staff were friendly, service good! If you like satay sauce this is the place!

Best Chinese yet always fresh and always hot

Been ordering from here for years and the food has always been good. Not sure if it’s changed hands or just got a new chef but the food I had tonight was even better that usual!

I clearly said dry with no sauce untop, spicy and soy sauce, they decided to give me plain rice with sliced green peppers untop. It was a disaster, chucked it in the food bin and ordered from elsewhere.

This restaurant is disgraceful and disgusting I ordered a bbq sauce which turned up as a bbq ketchup... I ordered a mushroom chow mein although this wasn’t that bad it was swimming in grease which I had to blot with some kitchen towel and my favourite part was when I called the restaurant to say my crispy shredded beef was chicken as the meat was white she then replied we don’t do a chicken version so that’s beef ... I replied that I have opened several pieces and all the meat inside is pure white she then began arguing with me that it was beef even if the meat was pure white so instead of actually being helpful I now have just chucked what I can only describe a £5 worth of mystery meat in the bin! Bad food even worse customer service!!! 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Put a message to restaurant requesting no beansprouts as I detest them, and foo yung was overloaded with them, totally ruined my meal.

that should say chow mien with a few bits of tiny meat and half container of vegetables. the food was very overwhelmed with vegetable inc cabbage which is disgustingly cooked. I counted 8 small pieces of meat with 2 shrimps in my dish. whoever cooked this is not Chinese. This is a MEGA insult to Chinese food and culture in general. Disgusting.

Where to start! Food took over 2 hours to arrive (a Monday eve). Apparently "the delivery driver didn't know where he was going". The food was all cold. "Crispy" seaweed was soggy. Salt and pepper chicken wings tasted of powder. Shredded beef was so hard it almost broke my teeth. Had to throw my entire order away and all I got from just eat was a £5 voucher. The restaurant offered nothing. Awful. Awful.

I can't rate the food as it arrived cold after 2hrs and I've been waiting 3hrs now as I asked for a replacement and it's still not arrived ,and after speaking with them and being told to wait. So i would not recommend at all .

Great tasting food, have used quite a few times and always been spot on.

They don't read instructions asked them not to do the door bell that's what they did and banged my gate as they left. Chicken chow Main had a tasteless big chicken piece in it with a little noodles. The other dishes had no flavour just could not eat it what a waste off money.

Given a delivery time of 1 hour 15 after ordering and was 50 minutes late so took nearly 2 hours! Rang and response wasn't the most helpful. Food was lukewarm but tasted nice.

The delivery time was fine. But the food wasn't. It was hot, I'll give them that, but it had zero taste. Like so bland. The ribs were dry to the point of being crispy/burnt. I had to add so much salt to make it edible.

Absolutely disgusting food, came cold and more then 2 hours late. When I called to ask where our food was the woman was very like ‘I don’t know and I don’t care, we are busy’, terrible disgusting restaurant, stay away, worse I have ever known. And the rice was burned and the curry was inedible due to so much salt. Worthless Chinese restaurant, will never use it again.

The food tasted quite nice and was only ten minutes late so nothing to moan about really. The lady that delivered it was really nice and friendly. Being single ordering minimum amounts means anything I buy from the Chinese restaurants on Just Eat also have to pass the reheated for breakfast test. Happy to report this one does 😁

Chow mien tasted burnt, carrots in chilli beef were rock hard and it looked like we'd only received half a portion, crispy seaweed was soggy, and we ordered a drink and was sent the wrong one. Waited an hour for food that I could of cooked better myself
