Oriental Chef in Redbridge

I come here all the time as it's one of if not the best Oriental takeaway places around. Always get a friendly welcome. Food never disappoints. It tastes like they care about what they serve to people. 12/10

It is Discudting in there they was doing my food dropped it on floor and went to serve it up . the fat guy on the frount I said I want my money back he said it would go on card never did. No wonder they Allway's have pest control in there. I would give it 0

My favourite Chinese takeaway in the area!

Today very disappointed on a £70 takeaway 8/7/2023. 3 dishes were not up to scratch. Prawn balls inedible, had a brown tinge inside the batter, not normally like that, threw them away to avoid possible food poisoning. Char Sui reheated, tough fry pork, and house special noodles beef was very chewy, so couldn’t eat it. Will be visiting tomorrow in person to obtain a refund, as tried to call and phone was put down, not a happy customer.

Not great! You should tell us if you give thin noodles which we don't like - most places give thick noodles and I forgot to clarify. I ordered sweet and sour mixed vegetables but received sweet and sour onions and pineapple - no peppers no mushrooms no spring onion or bamboo shoots! Chicken balls weren't crispy. Ribs were good though.

Best Chinese food around the area. I would recommend their Kung Pao Chicken and Sea Food Fried Rice! Tasty and large portion

the prawn balls will not crispy at all all the curry was quite watery there was hardly any me in the mix shaolin or whatever it was I had the special chow mein and the meal was cold if you want a decent Chinese I would eat somewhere else this is the last time I'll be eating at the oriental chef

I love this place. Been going for years and I've never been disappointed.

Food was great, I had no wait for almost 20 minutes to get it delivered. Service was great. They do offer delivery too. You should definitely try them out.

Take away, does deliver. Good portion size, very tasty will use again

I give the place a 2 for food 5 for service. Too many onions for my liking. If you like onions this will be 10/10 but not for me. I had the chilli beef and S&S Chicken so I think I got a good overall picture of the place. The egg fried rice was really nice though. Service was spot on. My photo shows half the onions i picked out when I couldnt take it anymore. I guess I could ask for no onions. But my other Chinese place nearby suits me fine so I'll stick with them.

Incredibly slow service, waited over half an hour for my order which only came to £15. If you have to get food from there order over the phone and go in to collect later

Amazing grilled dumplings and squid dishes. I prefer to call the restaurant direct and order. Why pay extra on just eat etc!! My favourite Local Chinese Takeaway 🥡 😻

This Oriental Chef! South Woodford! Has a rubbish customer service! I ordered a pork in black bean sauce....and they gave me beef curry!! It's against my religion NOT TO EAT BEEF! so I had to go back and pick the pork dish...while the rest of the food was getting cold! They didn't even credit me to say sorry for getting my order wrong! Made me SICK!! I would steostro advise to check your order....! Also bad time keeping....they said a pick up order would be 15mins.....I had to wait 30 mins for the order.....other customers were angry.... waiting for food! I wouldn't even give this a star. Avoid if possible......

Great food for a take away. Plenty of choice on the menu. Staff friendly and helpful Pictures on the menu are similar to what you get. Am a repeat user and would recommend.

My first time eating this place that my friend introduced to me and it is fresh and good really good.

Food is cooked fresh and if you need a special (I have family members with food allergies) they are happy to make it for you. Their crispy beef is lovely

Asked how long delivery vs collection as I didn't want to go out ideally but said 20 mins max. Waited 20 minutes then left so took me 25 in total. Got there and waited another 20 minutes. Whilst there I asked if I get free coke for orders over 30. He said no its 35 and I spent 32. Even though they kept me waiting all that time they wouldn't even compensate me for the sake of £3. Then when I get home I find two portions of spring rolls. I realised they give free ones for orders over 25. Instead of telling me that they charge me for one and give me one free. Disgusting. Food not all that anyway.
