Food never arrived. Number invalid. Shambles. From reading previous reviews, it happens often. AVOID!

Oh dear. Same low quality stuff you’d get in any kebab shop, but double the price. Nothing remotely Korean about it. Incredibly disappointing.

Driver gave my order to number 85 and claimed that's what the order said, can't get my food and he's refusing to help

There was no update on the processing of the order. The food arrived just within estimated delivery time and was lukewarm. Flavours were good.

100/10, food is GORGEOUS, came really quick despite the awful weather. Delivery man was lovely and absolutely so friendly and chatty, came right to my door in the flat.

The delivery guy asked me if I was Chinese and phoned me after I had gotten inside my house with my food so I reported him but the food was enjoyable. It could have been better if the driver wasn't weird

Food was not as I expected, as my chicken satay ,chicken chow mein was very salty and dry and crackers was oily ,overall not worth for the price we payed .

Amazing food and very generous portions! Love their chow mein! Only downfall is the wait time, you can be waiting atleast 45mins/1hr later as only 2 people who work here.

Ever since moving to Southampton, I’ve been looking for the perfect Chinese takeaway, and now I’ve found it! Oriental serves authentic Chinese takeaway with such a wide, varied menu suiting all tastes! It even has a British offering. Great food, brilliant service, and seating too! 10/10. Very happy.

The chips were very good. The burger didn't taste like it had any of the sauce on it. The chicken wings just tasted like chilli and ketchup, not how i expected them to taste. They also weren't battered, but that could be just how they choose to do them.

Food was over a hour late so thought wasn't coming. Then got left on my doorstep to go freezing cold and wet in the rain. Very unsatisfied! Totally waste of money very disappointing

Unfortunately we were really looking forward to this meal but it was cold, soggy and over cooked chicken and undercooked chips. It also was very late. Will not be ordering form here again

After 1 hour waiting for the food I call and they tell me food is not coming because they have an issue with the driver. I wonder if they ever meant to contact me. Ridiculous

I never received my order, the phone number for the restaurant isn't a valid number so you can't call them, I really liked this place but now I'll never order from here again, I'm so dissapointed :(

Taste 3.5/5 - A bit salty Texture 4/5 - The beef was soft Size of the dish - Medium to Large Service 4/5 - Added rice for me when I finish my rice on the dish. No water given though. Environment 3/5 - Warm and small. Basic design, felt a bit sweeshy Temperature - Hot Others - / Comment - Need to try out the no salt approach before recommending it Overall - 3.5/5 22/10/2020 Terence the Food Judge Further review found that their sauces were super salty. Hence changing their score to a 2/5.

it arived eventualy. food was ok little cold but pretty tasty otherwise better than other korean have tried but not the highest of bars to clear. nice a spicy an kinda sweet but nothing outstanding was accetable an edble.

I was quite disappointed with my recent experience at this Chinese takeaway in Southampton. Despite being promised a 30-minute wait, my order took 1 hour and 20 minutes to preper. Moreover, communication was challenging as the staff seemed to have limited proficiency in English. Additionally, their menu mentioned complimentary spring rolls and crackers for orders over £30, but I did not receive these, nor was there any acknowledgment or apology for the oversight and long wait. I would advise potential customers to consider other options and avoid at all cost. Food is below average.

Had Chinese food from here on and off for over 20 years, always freshly cooked and tastes amazing, nothing anywhere has ever compared.

Terrible burger. More like half a burger. The chicken piece was so small. Half the size of the bun. Absolute shambles. The chicken tenders were great though. Next time I'll just order the tenders and make my own tasty full sized wraps.

Food quaility was excellent, delivery was late and they got lost, but resolved it well. Food was still hot when arrived. Excellent flavours.

The food was really nice and the quantity was huge. It is cheap as well. Recommended. I tried their house special fried rice and pork with black pepper. With only one chef, service is a little slow.

Food was brilliant, in fact for the first time ever we actually had to wait for it to cool down it was so hot. The delivery took longer than expected but because of the distance and time ordered it was to be expected. The delivery guy was apologetic and pleasant. Will definitely order from again, thank you.

Took forever and the driver apologised and said that it was because I lived so far away…I appreciate that this is a new business but don’t offer delivery to postcodes when the food is going to suffer. Chips were soggy and covered in black bits, burger was absolutely saturated with sauce, so much so that the bun had completely disintegrated. The wings were okay but had very little sauce by comparison. Wouldn’t order again personally, I’m sure this place has potential, they’re just working out some kinks.

I was quite looking forward to eating 'Korean' chicken this evening. Instead I received your typical chicken shop wings with soggy breading, saturated with grease. A tough chicken burger (also not crispy as it states) and the portion size was that of a child’s. The buffalo sauce was non existent, chips were tiered and soggy. Unsatisfying tho say the least.

Tasty alternative to other chicken places, lovely flavour, really enjoyed the BBQ flavour, next time I will try something spicy. Thanks

Food was great but had to wait 30+ minutes JUST for chips. Thought I was gonna die of old age waiting. Far better things to do with my life than wait that long. Won't be going back.

One of the better Chinese takeaways. Quality of food is good. This restaurant is run by only 2 people. I think people should have more realistic expectations on how efficient can a small takeaway run with only 2. Don’t expect a 5 star grand hotel service from a small Chinese takeaway.

The food is ok but service terrible. Ì ordered in actual place and my order took 1 hour and 5 minutes. Ì was very patient but after 45 minutes I knocked on counter, then called through 3 more times and he didn't even have the manners to come out and explain. Have been there before, always a long wait but this time has proved it's not worth the wait

Very disappointed with the food I ordered and the service. Difficult in being understood which led to wrong food ordered which was bland and tasteless. Certainly will not be returning to that Chinese Takeout. Why are all the 5 Star reviews written by Local Guide’s???????

The sweet & sour pork and egg fried rice were very filling. I was only in Southampton for one night, and this was my meal of choice, regardless of how much takeaways competitors there were nearby. Definitely worth a visit 👍

The meal was disappointing. We waited ages to have the food cooked, one of the meals that we ordered was the wrong dish and worst of all there were multiple hairs in the food! When we went to ask for a refund, we were denied as "we had eaten the food'. This is really poor hygiene and has been reported to the Food Standard Agency for breaking basic hygiene standards. You should not eat here

Delicious food, well prepared and good portions.

The food was delicious and tasted like it was freshly made! I am definitely revisiting. Will take photos next time 🙂

favourite Chinese takeaway in town

Painful ordering as I was barely understood. How do I pay ? That will be £blah blah please. No how do I pay, can I pay by card? Yes that fine it will be £blah blah. after promising 45 minutes delivery it arrived 1:30 later. After two phone calls chasing and told to ask the driver for a discount as it was so late, I didn’t get that discount. The driver arrives and we can’t pay by card and we had no cash. Only some friends visiting had cash happened to bail us out. Shame as the food was good. But never again.

This has to be the most delicious food I've had in an age. The chilli beef, barbecued spare ribs and the curries were DIVINE. Thank you to all involved

The best Chinese in Soton. Portion sizes are very generous, the staff are really lovely and is incredible value. Ask about the foods on the non English menu as they really are the stars. Double cooked duck or steamed chicken. Ask for recommendations, you won't be sorry!
