Service was ok but food terrible. Seems to of gone downhill recently.

We placed a large order of lemon and orange chicken which was dry, sauces which were watery, duck wraps which were salty and scrapy, chicken chop seuy which was watery, chicken curry which the sauce was congealed and chips which were dry. We definitely won't be ordering from here again.

Hi. We ordered our takeaway at 4.45 but there was a mix up at the restaurant. The owner finally delivered our meal at 7.00. He was apologetic and said to contact just eat for a partial refund. He couldn't do it but said I could contact yourselves.

Ordered Satay chicken but when I collected it and got home it was chicken and pineapple. It tasted good but was not what I ordered

Don’t get customer service like this anywhere else, the guys are so lovely here and go above and beyond. There is a plethora of Chinese takeaways to choose from in Lincoln and we have tried many over the years but never found one that beats Orient - we are glad it is our local! Tonight they forgot to pack one of our items in the order but called us to let us know before we’d even got home and came out to deliver it to us straight away all within 5 minutes. Would highly recommend! Thank you :)

Been coming to this Chinese for the last 24yrs and tonight will be our last take away. Last couple of meals wasn't that good, so tonight we said we would try again and was really disappointed 😞Was told there would be an hour and a half wait as they were busy and we were ok with that. The Chips were very soggy and didn't taste nice, beef chow mein was very salty, chicken balls were tasteless, dry inside and very tiny and had hardly any chicken in them. Pancake rolls were tiny and full of pepper which was very strong and couldn't eat them.

We order from these guys near enough every week. Never had a bad meal or any issues with anything. Excellent menu choice and always delivered hot.

Had good meals before but not this time. Chicken totally dried out and inedible. So it was rice and prawn crackers for dinner... :( Estimated time was 45mins, it ended up being 90.

Was given a wrong order, asked for a special which was egg fried rice, chips and gravy but was given curry sauce. I think they need to cut back on the salt too as mine and a friends chicken chow mein was over powered with salt and couldn't eat it all.

Awful! Cold, greasy and tasteless.

Ordered salt and pepper chicken and ribs. Whilst they were nice. They appeared to just have the seasoning shoved on top of them as they were packaged. It wasn't mixed in as it was cooked/heated. Food was edible and fine but just how it should have been served. It's a shame really as we came to you due to the reviews. Delivery was on time though.

Good food excellent service well worth the money

due to unfortunate circumstances our order arrived late this was through no fault of the restaurants, however we was kept updated and our food arrived hot, tasty and the staff were amazing! I would highly recommend. 5 stars all round!

Delivered perfectly on time. Order was nice and hot, we just found it very salty, particularly the chicken and black bean. I season things heavily and I couldnt handle much at all much so I don't think it was just a question of taste. Sorry :(

Foods always great and always hot. Usually delivery times are spot on but this time it was a little late. Olly the chef bought a chow mein out to us thinking it was missing from our order, which it wasn't and apologised for the lateness. Lovely man? Thanks Olly

food was burnt and been refused a refund, been ordering from here for years but no never using them again as they have treated us really badly

Even though the delivery was late, it was still very hot. Food was tasty , no issues would order from again.

Rang to say can we deliver early which was what we wanted. Food was great as normal.

Been coming to Orient for year but tonight’s was even better than usual. Szechuan King Prawn and Special Chow Mein were especially good. Fresh veg for the satay and perfectly done sweet and sour chicken.

Food ISN'T AS GOOD AS IT USED 2 B !!! S&S pork balls WERE not even fully cooked. 1 on bailgate WAS always d best "but closed now unfortunately"..

Incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food, don't usually have any issues but the chips were overdone and had clearly been sat there, the rice was dry and the curry sauce was tasteless and congealed. It's an expensive Chinese restaurant nowadays which makes it even worse.

Not orded for a few months usually very good however just had a delivery on time but not as good rice was like porridge the rest was average and all was luke warm shame as we did like this Chinese takeaway.

Fab little take away never had a complaint or issue with any of their food. The staff are always friendly and the food is always piping hot. I especially like the salt and pepper chips but they do a fantastic prawn curry.

Awful not usual standards, chips appeared like left over re headed and chewy, Cantonese sweet and sour chicken was dreadful dry and chewy, beef curry well the beef if that's what it was just could not eat it made your jaws ache trying, we have had better, very very disappointed to the point we will not be ordering again

The best Chinese takeaway I have EVER been to. Tasting food like that I will definitely order from here again, I live half an hour away from the restaurant but the food is too good to miss out on. The food was gorgeous and tasted so fresh, service was great, staff were polite, food was done in good time. I loved every part of my meal.

Worst Chinese take away I've ever eaten, arrived in about half an hour so suspect it wasn't freshly cooked as we're a 15 minute drive away. Duck was dry, chow mein tasteless and about 6 pieces of chicken, was lukewarm at best just overall disappointing.

Food not to bad .meat in special curry very tough needs cooking more where was the prawns???.had one .good job i likes mushrooms

meat was dried out huge chunks and inedible in 2 different meals . It all went in the bin as definitely wasn't fresh . Standards have definitely gone downhill .won't be returning .

Ordered the meal at 6pm for collecting. It was ready when got there 10 minutes from ordering. The meal was not freshly cooked, the sauces were gloopy, the beef tasted burnt, the chicken balls were stodgy and the chow mein just wasn’t good. Over all very disappointing, I won’t be using again, it used to be a great takeaway definitely gone downhill.

Will not be ordering from here again, from ordering my food and putting the phone down and for them to arrive at my door it was 11 minutes. Considering We live 5 miles away. It doesn’t take a genius to work out the reason for the dried out meat etc is because it isn’t fresh and it’s re heated can’t wait for the s**ts tomorrow thanks guys! Top dollar 👍

Poor. Quality was awful, dry ribs and a beef dish that was 99% veg. Had to go back after collection as they forgot part of the order. Won't go back.

Notice a few negative posts,try calling in and see just how busy they are. If its busy thats a good sign, ive used the Orient since it opened,about 1980. I have chinese meals all over the country and I can say I only use the Orient in Lincoln as it IS the best by far. When you are as busy as they are mistakes happen,we dont like it but its a fact of life.

Friendly staff and tasty food. Collection is nice and easy and covid safe.

If I could leave 0 stars I would ordered food 3 hours ago rang to check where it was and the manager lied said it was 5 mins away another 45 mins and still not here rang again and cancelled still no refund. Awful service don’t order just go with the Phoenix instead.

Food is good, variety of choice is very good. Wait time is about 15 minutes for 3 meal choices. Only downside is with regard to how some of their delivery drivers use the adjacent layby, parking in a very inconsiderate manner. Sought this and you have a 5 star rating

Not been in a while. I always love their Sweet and Sour dishes and it is still as delicious now as it always has been ❤❤

First time from there the food was brillant although it was very late delivery but still hot and the amount of food was huge i couldnt eat it all so ill have it for lunch tomorrow

Food is decent but we were told the delivery would be with us within the hour.. an hour and half later it still isnt here and when I called the person who answered apologised but tried to say it hadn't actually been that long.. not good enough.

Just ordered a meal for four of us. This is the worst Chinese takeaway we have all had. Telephoned to complain. Which I normally wouldn't bother to do. They sent their driver to collect our remains as they didn't believe us. Told us that it was our tastes that was wrong...... I would not recommend this takeaway to anyone, be warned!!!!!

I we had a meal was very disappointed wish I'd taken it back.. chicken ball better very soggy inside like not cooked .. beef chow main smelt burnt as if it had been cooked in a burnt pan & cold .. chip were like they'd been reheated.. not be returning..

I went there last week and there was a really kind girl called Lizzy Behind the desk and she welcome the customers like it was home which we need, the food was great and the service was good with it, if it was up to me the girl behind the desk made my day and she get an pay raise for it

Haven't been here for a while and maybe it's changed hands but the food was terrible. The delivery was very quick for 10pm on a Saturday night - just 15mins. The chilli salt chicken was very dry and incredibly salty with the only chilli flavour coming from a couple of slices of chilli pepper. The chicken fried rice looked anaemic and was tasteless, and the sweet and sour pork balls were very greasy and doughy/almost raw towards the middle. Pancake rolls were also greasy and tasteless.I regret buying this meal as neither of us enjoyed it and most of it went in the bin. I'm only awarding one star as the delivery was fast.

We ordered early (around 6pm) for a 7:30pm delivery on NewYear's Eve after having checked that they were taking delivery orders. The order didn't arrive, so we rang at 7:50pm to be told that our food was about to leave and would be with us in 20 to 30 mins. Still it did not arrive. A further phone call around 8:25 informed us that our order had still not left the shop - so we went to collect it. We arrived at the shop 8:35pm to find out not only had the order not left the shop, but it had not even been cooked. After waiting for over 30mins a person who came in after us for an order at 8:45pm left with his order before us. Finally at 9:15pm we left with our food, which was quite nice. However, the service was nothing less than appalling - apart from the lack of delivery and unbelievable wait we were lied to. Keep away!

Been using this for years. Was awful curry salty and far too hot like they had put in too much curry. Told this was normal when called to complain. This wasn't as its always been good. Not any more and certainly won't be using them again

Have been ordering food from here for years but since its been taken over by someone else it's gone down hill rapidly. Smaller portions, lack of actual meat and over cooked / under cooked. The sweet and sour sauce is virtually glow in the dark and very vinegar. Not buying from here again unless they up their game

Ordered 2 set meals with chicken curry and the sauce was awful it tasted powdery. Tried calling but engaged. Very disappointed as used this chinese for years and was not expecting this standard. 😑
