Orchid Coffee, Flower & Deli in Welwyn Hatfield

4 of us went to The Orchid for a birthday tapas meal. We ordered a variety of dishes and a paella. Everything was freshly cooked and really enjoyable and the service was friendly and efficient. Full marks to Simon for running this business which is such an asset to Cuffley. It is lovely to feel so welcomed even if you just pop in for a coffee earlier in the day.

I only ever come to Orchids for mt fried breakfast. Good quality food, tasty, authentic, well priced and cosy atmosphere. I’ve just visited for Thursday night Tapas and what a revelation! Thanks Simon, great venue, food and hospitality! 👍👍

Second time here, went for a selection of meat and fish tapas - all very good! Sangria too was great. Lucky to have this in the village.

I stumble across this elegant flower café from the station and went to explore it. As a guest in the area on a short visit prior to commencement of my new job, l was very impressed with the quality of food (very reasonably priced) and service l received from Simon and another lady. Simon made sure that l was comfortable, adjusting tables around to accommodate my gadgets. Hence, l felt welcomed on my first day. He made my day! On my second visit, l was served by Elisa and Ella who were also very nice and kept checking to see that l was okay. I have found my entire experience on both occasions a moment to cherish. In view of the above, I would like to extend my gratitude to the leader of this elegant café in the hope that they will continue to value their customers, produce top quality services and maintain excellent facilities in all areas (including clean restrooms), all qualities very rare to find in other restaurants and cafés these days. by Frank ( Maths teacher)

Fabulous little hidden gem. Food was delicious, setting was lovely and service was fab. Lots of dishes to choose from and the paella (meat) was outstanding. Definitely recommend.

I ordered flowers for a friend and her road was flooded on the delivery day . not only were the flowers beautiful but the delivery lady made sure she got her flowers despite the flood . her car was too low to get through the flood but she got a lift from a very kind man in a high vehicle to deliver the flowers . exceptional service and s BIG THANK you to her. My friend loved her flowers.

Just like being in Spain. Very very tasty tapas and paella. Service was attentive and polite. Knowing the chef was Spanish our expectations were high, we were not disappointed. Food was delicious, expect to pay a good price for very good food.

Outstanding Cafe & Florist Outstanding Food Outstanding Service Simon and Agnieshka run a beautiful Cafe and Florist , they and their staff are welcoming and accommodating something of a rare find . The Spanish influence menu is unique just like them! The covered outside heating eating space is a lifesaver if like me you are Immunocompromised . Here you can feel normal ❤️ Don’t miss a slice of Chocolate Guinness cake with your coffee !

Absolutely a hidden gem ! I have been a regular at The Orchid for coffee/lunch and beautiful flowers and have always been very happy with all my visits. Then decided to book a table for dinner. When we arrived it felt like a completely different place - tables set, candles twinkling, music playing and a wonderful relaxing ‘vibe.’ The menu is varied and apart from Tapas and paella there was also steak & fish. We had only lots of tapas each dish was delicious!! The staff were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend a visit!!

Have visited several times since we discovered this fabulous little restaurant. Usually have tapas which is excellent but we were in the mood for steak today …. This was superb!!! Definitely the best steak I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere, service and food here is simply excellent.

Lovely little hidden gem in Cuffley. We tend to go at least once a week whether that be for coffee or lunch. They are very welcoming to families as we have a toddler and their menu is delicious no matter what you choose. I don’t know why this isn’t number one in Cuffley on Trip Advisor!

Had an amazing evening at The Orchid. We ordered 7 of the tapas dishes and then shared the house paella. Everything was fab. Lovely little area at back too with twinkle lights. Highly recommend to pay this lovely local cafe a visit!!

Outstanding cafe. Simon is so attentive to all of his customers. The food is delicious and great value. The chicken and bacon sandwich doesn’t get any better in my opinion. Great coffee and if you have any room make sure you grab some Cannoli’s(Sicilian dessert pastry) which are fantastic. Best eatery in Cuffley by some distance.

Had a great breakfast on my wife's birthday. Super food, lovely coffees and excellent service. We also picked up some flowers which looked fantastic - we've had a few big tied bunches before - but wilted a few days later. I alerted Simon who immediately responded and said he would replace them. A wonderful arrangement at least to the same value came this morning. Very well done!

Really lovely cafe offering light lunches and very good coffee . Lovely staff and great atmosphere . It is wise to park in the local car park though as although there is parking for a couple of cars on the forecourt it is by the train bridge on a main road and as the traffic can get very heavy it is difficult to manoeuvre when leaving .

So lucky I live around the corner from this little gem of a cafe. Great menu. Customer service is absolutely first class every time. Personally always go for the Chicken, Bacon and Avocado sandwich which is delicious. Won’t be long until this is the number 1 eatery in Cuffley which it deserves to be. See you soon.

If The Orchid had not been recommended to me when I visited Cuffley recently I would probably have driven straight past. Parking is restricted between 11.00 and 1.00 because of the railway station nearby but outside of that time, there were plenty of spaces. The cafe offered a great choice of sandwich fillings on lovely fresh bread with hot food choices also available. The staff were welcoming and efficient and I would definitely return on another occasion.

We have frequented Orchid on many, many occasions. It is a super place with excellent food and coffee and a lovely atmosphere. It is really friendly as well. The best by a country mile around here.

Went for lunch here with my Mum and will definitely be back. There are some nice seats inside, but it was a hot day and we sat outside on the patio behind the flower shop where there was a good mix of light and shade. The staff were very friendly and happy to accommodate special diet requests. Everything was very fresh and we were not hurried to leave, we stayed chatting for ages. We both went for salads and they were very tasty. I had a yummy Portuguese style custard tart afterwards, and they do milkshakes and San Pellegrino drinks. It was all very clean and I liked looking at the flowers while we were there. I'd be in this place all the time if it was near to me.

Well what can I say. Found a little gem in Cuffley not only do they sell amazing flowers and plants but their food menu is amazing and healthy and tasty. Wonderful ambience and service and just great tasty food. Do yourself a favour and try you will not be disappointed.

Realmente impresionado con la comida y el café (mucho más de mi agrado que el genérico cosas high street que normalmente te dan). El personal me pareció genial, muy servicial y erudito. Tanto así que terminé comprando un gran ramo de flores, así que pasamos un infierno de mucho más de lo que me esperaba jajajano puedo ver lo que los otros reseñistas acerca del wc: "No estar limpio". . . Estaba impecable, de hecho, parecía nuevo. Estoy acostumbrado a estar en un asiento sólido inodoro de oro en casa, pero yo no puedo esperar que cuando fuera. Quizás es un poco "especial" como yo. . .De todos modos, si tu alguna vez en la zona: dar el lugar. Recomiendo encarecidamente este hotel y volveré la próxima vez que esté en la zona.

En visitar este lugar encantador puedo decir honestamente que el personal no podría ser más servicial y amable, el establecimiento estaba limpio y ordenado, el jamón y queso croissant de palma era para morirse. Pedí un bouquet atado a mano y no fue decepción personal flores hermosa se convertirá en un habitual en el Orchid

Recently visited this café, poor customer service, not friendly, and coffee was not good. Also toilet was not clean. Would not recommend this café.

Como tenía planeado caminar a Cuffley con un amigo el martes 25 de abril miré en Tripadvisor y vimos este café. Había sólo un par de comentarios pero eran favorables, así que hice una nota y fuimos a ver al café. Fuera, que no parecía especialmente atractivo, así que miramos por la ventana pero no podía ver nada mucho del interior sin embargo, como no había menú fuera o cualquier indicación de la comida disponible fuimos muy contentos de haberlo hecho. El menú del almuerzo era variado y parecía una muy buena relación calidad-precio. Mi amigo tenía humus con aguacate y pan italiano que dijo era delicioso tuve un panini con pimientos asados rojos, queso de cabra con mermelada y una ensalada verde. Fue muy, muy bueno, tan sabroso y abundante. Incluso mejor ambos estaban a sólo 4 libras. 95, que es muy buena relación calidad-precio y lo recomiendo de corazón este café a todos los que visitan la zona.

Beautiful coffee and snacks with a background of superbly arranged plants and flowers..clearly by an expert florist..a lovely way to while away an hour.

This is a very pleasant place to enjoy a meal, have a coffee, buy some flowers or special deli food.
