Shocking food The absolute cheapest poor quality ingredients. Terrible latte, undrinkable) Weak tea not to mention the CHEF!!! Effing and Jeffing at the lovely lady who forgot to ask customers for cash only. WILL NOT BE BACK.

I knew as soon as I walked in ….the smell of fat and grease was overwhelming and I regret that I didn’t walk straight back out ….. Friendly staff but my god , the food and drinks !! Full English was swimming in fat and I do not know how you can serve the sausages that you did . They were clearly the cheapest frozen sausages just chucked in a deep fat fryer ( hence the smell ) The butter that arrived within the toast was cheap margarine filled with toast crumbs from previous breakfasts . The drinks ( lattes ) were just watery and tasteless . I didn’t want to cause a fuss in front of my children as we were on holiday so I got up and left. The quality of your food is really poor and I am not fussy , but it was truly awful . People save to come away on holiday and treat the kids to dining out . It’s a luxury , a treat !! I shall not be returning and I think you really need to look at your suppliers etc as this wasn’t acceptable!!

I visited here for breakfast as I was staying at a hotel nearby which didn't offer a cooked breakfast.I was very glad I did, as it was very inexpensive, but also very nice. Good bacon and sausages, and I was able to swap my egg for an extra slice of bacon with no problem.Well recommended.

Most definitely came here for breakfast with my mother every thing well cooked and hot, staff (sorry I didn’t get your names ) but both lovely especially young lady who served us. The place is spotless they do lunch as well, did not have to wait to long to get our food, well worth a visit. They cater for vegetarians, however no soya milk. Which possibly could be changed. Thank you for making us so welcome .

We were looking around for a quick bite to eat for lunch. This tea room was cosy, had a really good menu with many homemade dishes. My daughter had a jacket potato with cheese and beans and it was huge, it also came with a salad and coleslaw. My homemade cheese and onion pie was delicious with chips and beans. Its not very often I eat pies but I'll glad I did. My husband had an omelette with chips which was delicious. With drinks it only came to £21 which was an absolute bargain. Service was friendly and efficient and if we are ever in the area again, we would definitely go back.

I miss this type of caff. In a world of starbucks and cafe neros, we ahould treasure places like this. Good ol' english menu (fry-ups, breakfast sarnies etc). My wife only wanted sausages, mushrooms & toast (not on the menu) - no problem. Warm, friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. To be honest, the place smells a little of cooking fat, but that should prob be expected, and you get used to it. Long live the orchard tea room, and all places like it.

We regularly pop into the Orchard Tea Rooms for our mid morning coffee and snack. At other places we are constantly having to ask for' extra hot, coffee, and even then it comes with no rising steam visible. Here at the Orchard I only had to ask once to realise that I would never have to ask again It's a wonderful brew! We usually just have toast and /or scone which are really tasty, and from what I can see of other people's orders those too are steaming and visibly yummy lol!

We go to St Anne's regularly for days out and no visit is complete with out a visit here. It is a proper family run business and the staff are really friendly. The food is amazing and not expensive! Our favourites are the toasties (they are to die for) and I must mention the jacket potatoes - no scrimping on the toppings, they pile it on. On a recent visit to St. Anne's we saw a menu board outside this cafe for homemade cheese pie chips & peas/beans - price seemed good. I have a special liking for homemade cheese pie so after a quick look at other offers in the area I persuaded my Hubbie to have lunch here. Not a good decision - the man who I think was the owner spoke as little as possible and for a meal that turned out to be microwaved pies etc we had to wait ages despite the cafe being fairly quiet . If they say the cheese pie was homemade without demanding to see the pies being made I can't disprove that but very disappointing

We stayed at the St Ives in St Annes, and I really did not feel happy at the £7.50/head buffet breakfast. I suppose that I really should not complain about that as we had a really good room only deal, but if you are prepared to spend no more than 10 minutes of your time in search of true value then visit this place. After visiting Gabriella's (same business owners) across the road and being informed that they had no breakfasts available at midday (wtf) we decided to visit Black Sheep and regretfully I won't be returning. Order placed relatively simply but this is when it went wrong. Waitress took our drinks to wrong table. Waited overly long for breakfast which was also taken to the wrong table. Then no cutlery. No offer of sauces or salt and pepper. I had to go and collect cutlery from another table. Food was cold, poached egg overcooked, bacon undercooked, toast buttered (I'd like to choose whether I have my toast buttered). Honestly was incredibly poor and we chose a local business over Wetherspoons up the way. AVOID!
