I noticed it while walking by from the outside, and it caught my eye. It’s such a pretty building, perfect for taking photos. I’m sure it’s also beautiful inside, but unfortunately, I didn’t have time to go in.

This large neoclassical church was completed in 1884. It is located in the Knightsbridge area, next to the Victoria and Albert Museum. The full name is Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary or Brompton Oratory because it is closely connected to the London Oratory School. It serves as a parish church in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster. After walking past it so many times without noticing it, I finally visited it this year and was satisfied

Went on a tour with our parish priest, all I can say is that it was indeed beautiful. Being inside this church stirs up a sense of peace and Gods presence 🤩 There’s this wow effect it gives from being bigger inside than outside😁 it’s a must-see 💯

I was in London, I think, for the only time in my life on a Sunday and I chose a place to go to mass close to the hotel where I was staying. I thank God for having attended this Tridentine mass, because everything was very beautiful.

Large and beautiful Catholic church. Religious services in pre-conciliar style. Celebrant with his back to the people and distribution of communion kneeling at the balustrade. At the back of the church there is a large and well-kept garden. An oasis of peace

I believe anyone, regardless of religion or culture, would encounter the most divine spiritual experience and peace when sitting inside the London Oratory. So rich in history. A must visit.

Easily the most beautiful church in London, surpassing that of St Paul's (personally). Come here when the sky starts to darken at around 5pm. It's stunning in the inside. The candle smell and smoky interior paired with the darkness of it makes you blink with shock. Truly a masterpiece. Essence of an Italian church.

Brompton Oratory is a stunning architectural marvel with a busy programme of masses. Its grand facade and intricate marble detailing capturing an awe inspiring beauty—elegant columns and ornate decorations, and stunning Catholic art, provides a captivating backdrop for the Traditional Latin mass, elevating the spiritual experience like only TLM truly can. The solemnity and reverence of the Latin mass and the sound of scola resonate deeply within the walls of Brompton Oratory, offering worshippers a profound sense of connection to centuries of tradition and faith. The only disappointment is that the bookshop has never been open when I have visited—I would love to see what wonderful works it stocks.

In my view, the Brompton Oratory is the most beautiful church in London. Most importantly, it offers plenty of reverently celebrated masses on Sunday and on weekdays. The music at the 11 AM mass is out of this world. Long confession hours, too, which is not that common in London. Definitely a must for Catholics and for anyone seeking the Good, the True, and the Beautiful.

Priest is an uninformed fool, abortion is not mentioned as a sin. Confession was judgement, it’s God’s place to judge, not his.

Went to a concert and listened to Bach’s St John Passion. Lovely venue.

What an amazing church. I went for a holy week's service it was very nice. Most of the hymns are in Latin so I didn't understand 😆, however the readings and homily was in English. It's a very beautiful church. I should say the mass is very traditional. Attend a service if you can. The service is bit different to what I know from the Roman Catholic generic mass. However you can follow without any problem. They got mass books if you need one at the entrance. If you love music, mostly a traditional kind you would love it. The website details the type of music they have on each day. I will definitely go there again. Loved this church.

Extremely beautiful church located innocuously on a busy street. It took a good ten minutes to explore the church hall, as each nook was filled with intricate designs.

A special place, although note that the 11am Solemn Latin Mass is a Novus Ordo, not 1962 Missal (Tridentine). It is offered as a Low Mass early on Sundays. St Mary Magdalene Parish church in Wandsworth offers a Tridentine Solemn High Mass on Sunday at 11am.

Located on Brompton Road, this church is also known as The Oratory of St. Peter Neri is a worthwhile visit if you are walking past. You don't have to be of the Catholic faith to admire the Italian architectural style of this 19th-century place of worship. Every inch of the church's interior is emblazoned with ornate carving of biblical iconography.

The midnight mass and carols singing was a unique experience. Thanks to everyone and glory to God.

As a Wedding Photographer/ Videographer The London Oratory Church is my Favourite. I love everything about this church specially for a wedding. One thing as Photographer to be aware is you are not allowed to use Flash, Also you are not allowed to walk around during the ceremony. The Priest also not allowing you to put any audio on them during the ceremony.

Muy bonito y recomendable. Se reza muy bien. Además está el Cardenal Newman, un sacerdote anglicano que se convirtió al Catolicismo y que entendía que el gran motor de la Iglesia católica son sus fieles laicos, si rezan y si tiene buena formación. Y por supuesto si son un ejemplo de vida en su familia y en el trabajo. Pienso lo mismo. Además está en una zona muy interesante para visitar al lado de Harrods. Hay mucha paz en este Iglesia. Me encanto la Piedad que hay al entrar a la derecha.

Ausgesprochen sehenswerte Kirche im Stil des römischen Barock.

Beautiful, very grand with dome. I was lucky to visit whilst organ was being played in the afternoon which really added to the atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

Mass in a fabulous setting, sung in Latin but the usual mass in English. Choir are well worth the travel.

This is a well kept secret and never on the tourist list but should be. Never knew this was here until I was passing. What a surprise when I entered. One of the largest Baroque churches in London. Truly impressive and a pure gem. Highly recommend if you like churches.

Si has estado de compras en Harrod's o te has pateado el museo Victoria & Albert, antes de reponerte en el pub Bunch of Grapes puedes visitar el Brompton Oratory. El templo de Londres es la catedral de San Pablo, pero esta otra iglesia seguro que no te deja indiferente. Y en la capilla de San Wilfredo, a la derecha del altar mayor, se encuentra una fiel copia de la Santa Cecilia de Maderno (basílica de Santa María en Trastevere, Roma).

Vicino al nostro Hotel, nel prestigioso quartiere di Kensington/ Knightsbridge ci siamo recati alle ore 11 nella chiesa " Brompton Oratory " . Con nostra sorpresa abbiamo assistito ad una bellissima Santa Messa solenne in latino come accadeva in passato anche in Italia ed accompagnata da uno straordinario coro e musica dal vivo. Siamo rimasti particolarmente stupiti della grande ed intensa partecipazione dei fedeli di tutte le età ( tutti elegantissimi e compiti ) i quali anche dopo la Santa Messa si sono soffermati a lungo a pregare con intensa fede e grandissima partecipazione cosa di grande esempio anche per noi. Such a special Catholic Church with wonderful music at Saturday 6pm, Sunday 10am and Sunday 11am featuring world class choirs - regular concerts which shouldn’t be missed. Architecturally beautiful and a place of real peace.

Son lugares que a mucha gente no les gusta, otros solo entran para hacerse fotos o tomar fotos porque son lugares sitios muy divinos coloniales por su arquitectura en fin, más no se dan cuenta, quizá por falta de conocimiento, son lugares muy importantes que dan paz armonía en el alma por es Dios quien está allí, en todas las iglesias que podáis entrar y aún más si escuchamos la Santa misa que nos sana el alma y regenera nuestro espíritu. Y cuando paséis por delante de un Altar por favor por respeto al Creador del Universo hacer una reverencia, por lo menos bajar la cabeza. Es precioso lugar 💕.

I attended mass here for Christmas: midnight mass, 11am Latin mass and Vesper Christmas Day. The choir is perhaps the best liturgical ensemble in the entire world regardless of denomination. The excellence achieved by this choir is an international phenomenon. If you are in London and they are singing: Go. As a Catholic you will be transformed by the power of music. If you are not Catholic you will understand the universal humanity this liturgy can inspire.

I went here to receive the sacrament of reconciliation. The church was closed but the oratory house was open. I plan to go there again to visit the church. The staff was very polite and helpful and I had a very good peaceful time there.
