A really lovely cafe with very friendly staff and lots of wonderful cats. The food is great too, although obviously not the main attraction here! All of the cats are really friendly to visitors, but the three white cats (two of the are twins) are my favourite cats at the cafe. They have my heart. Soooo cute.

It was quiet when we visited, but the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. The cats were happily roaming or snoozing in strategic locations, and it was fun to find them (though, understandably, some were "peopled-out" and were taking a well-earned break in a private location!) My gf is a professional cat-sitter in Portsmouth, and a visit to Shakespaw was part of her birthday weekend treat. She was positively in her element, with a cat on each side, and we absolutely fell in love with Horatio! Coffee was excellent, and we intend to visit next time we're n the area.

Good cust service, good food, theraptic being around the cats & stroking them, well looked after cats, defo recommend a visit

Me and my best friend decided to spend some time together today as we hadn’t see each other much lately and decided to go here. What an amazing place this was!! The cafe was so clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful, the cats were all so cute and you could tell they were all so so happy and very well looked after, the cake was lovely and we really enjoyed spending the afternoon here, I think bottom was our favourite as he spent our whole visit asleep with us, will definitely be back again soon!! X

Lovely visit as always. Food delicious and was only a short wait. Drinks delicious, I had the mango dragon special and definitely think it should be a permanent menu item. Cats were gorgeous and friendly, staff helpful and attentive. Paid for the birthday add-on and the tote bag is cute but sadly didn't include keyring (didn't notice until we'd left).

Visited today with my 10 year old daughter who absolutely loved it. The food is fairly limited but of good quality and reasonably priced considering it's in Stratford , where lots of places are expensive. The cats are very friendly and well looked after. The only thing that lets the place down is the unfriendly (and at times rude ) staff.

This is a lovely place, and the food is far better that you'd expect - obviously the cats are the main attraction, but the food is really good too, and all made on the premises.. The decor is really interesting and the very opposite of cookie cutter Ye Olde England corporate stuff that a lot of tourist places have. You definitely need to book though - they're really busy, and a bit understaffed!

We visited Shakespaw cat cafe after hearing about it from family.It was a great experience the cats were very attentive and one ( bottom ) made good use of my wife’s coat as a cushion. The staff were friendly and the food , scrambled eggs bacon and pancakes for me cat shaped crumpet with nuttela and banana for my wife was purfect !

I was given an Afternoon Tea Birthday Gift , so I took my niece , it would have been two nieces but due to age restriction of child to be over 10 years , I had to disappoint her sister . Food was lovely , I go to try Bubble tea and all the Cats seemed very chilled .waiting staff excellent and really careful when letting people in and out of the main door.

Lovely quaint place, great host who was very welcoming and attentive. My daughter Jemma bought us this treat for my birthday. We had afternoon tea which was great. And blue Hot chocolate 😋 The cats and kittens were so cute. Some were sleeping,One was looking at their reflection in a mirror 😻 and 2 were waiting for their dreamies treat. A very enjoyable time. Will definitely visit again. It’s a must if you love cats 😻 We bough some cat pins as a reminder of our day.

Me and my Son had a great time today at this lovely cat cafe! I like how the cats are obviously very well looked after and treated like normal cats, as in respecting their home and not picking them up etc. The cats seemed very happy and content. My son enjoyed his cheese on toast and I had a very tasty and hot coffee! Staff were super inviting and friendly. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to visit again soon! X

I've visited a few cat cafes which have always been lovely, this one was a massive disappointment, more so as it was my birthday and had really been looking forward to it. We had to go looking for the cats there were that few of them and the ones we did find were the big fluffy house cat type which were asleep and unresponsive. The service was slow and staff not particularly friendly. Most boring pointless place we've ever visited.

The rose hot chocolate is highly recommended as is the macaroni cheese - both are nice. However, the sandwiches are pretty basic - bog standard thin sliced bread in triangles with paper thin ham. The 'garlic bread' was just a slice of thin toast (same bog standard bread) with butter and garlic bits on it. The Mac cheese is served in dainty (small) teacups, so we came away still hungry and ended up going to Tesco to buy snacks and fruit to fill up on. (We couldn't get cake at the cafe as our time slot had ended). Bigger portions or fancy bread would justify the £8 price tag - heck, I would happily have paid double if the food was higher quality. Much as we love the chintzy decor and the friendly cats, don't think we'll be visiting again.

My son and I were warmly welcomed into this adorable cafe and introduced to the cats. He happily spent an hour and a half playing with them and stroking them. We had a wonderful time and delicious treats. Highly recommend visiting here on your way through town!

We visited Shakespaws as a group of 5 friends. The welcome was warm, the food and drinks were delicious and the ambience was utterly charming. It felt like something straight out of Alice in wonderland. The cats were super cute ( I have to confess to not being particularly a cat person generally) Special thanks to Rebecca, Molly and Grace for looking after us so well. If its on the menu I'd recommend the flowering tea. A first for me but something a bit different. Although we didn't try the afternoon tea this time it looked sensational. Next time we visit Stratford upon Avon we will be back. Many thanks and great job!

Lovely little quirky cafe tucked away from main street. Booking only so full but never crowded. Attentive staff. Fab homemade cake. Goes without saying, beautiful, relaxed cats who are always allowed to be cats. Cat safety on entry made a priority. Recommend Shakespaw Cat Cafe 👍

Having never been to a cat cafe we thought we would give it a go. We saw this place the last time we were in Stratford and thought that’s the place. This was an early Mother’s Day outing. We originally went for cake and tea, but push the boat out and had sandwiches too. The food was great and the tea was second to none. I was a little worried about having the cat wondering about but they were totally brilliant. Be allowed to walk around and see the cats was great. It’s like no other cafe we have been in. It’s a place we will return to. You have just got to give it ago.

Friendly place to visit and the food was very yummy! Cats are very friendly and playful. If you want a bit of attention take a nice warm coat for them to snuggle in and they will be very happy! Staff really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. We really enjoyed our visit.

What a lovely hidden gem ! We are big cat lovers so couldn’t wait to try this concept. We booked a table for 3 and we’re greeted by friendly staff . There are 8 resident cats plus foster kittens and we loved the info card telling us all about each individual cat. The lady who served us also answered our questions and was very helpful answering our questions xx unlike other similar places the atmosphere was very relaxed and the cats were roaming around very at home and happy to interact with us which made our day ! Will definitely be going back for some food as we saw a couple with an afternoon tea which looked amazing.
