Nice place to eat at when visiting star city really great service from maryam she was very quick and helpful.

Unfortunately we had one of our worst experiences dining out here. Nothing happened, the food was just so sub standard that I'm scoring it one star and I never do that. We have dined here before, many years ago and enjoyed it , however the quality has really fallen. The good points were they were busy, the place had a welcoming atmosphere, we were seated relatively quickly, the management were polite and the food was warm BUT there's nothing else nice to say. Unfortunately it seemed there was an underlying lack of quality in the preparation and quality of ingredients and everything seemed rushed. A common pitfall of a successful business that sadly becomes complacent We ordered noodles, shrimps and milkshakes We were told the chosen noodles came in two options only, mild and hot. We ordered both. The mild too bland to eat and the hot too hot even for me and I have a high tolerance to spice. The preparation seemed rushed as there was no consistency to the broth and noodle texture in both plates. When raised to management afterwards I was told they can make an off the menu option but our waitress didn't inform us of that option. She seemed rushed under pressure to take the order and move on. As we had left more than half the food untouched, the manager insisted on recooking the food for us to takeaway so it's more flavoursome. That was kind but its concerning that the chef has to be told to cook with pride and care and consideration. Is the chef under pressure to just get the food out? Is it even a chef? Similarly the milkshake seems rushed, it didn't taste like real Bueno according to the kids and wasnt even cold at the top. Again a little extra time and consideration of quality of output as well as higher quality inputs wouldn't have gone amiss. The dynamite shrimp tasted ok to be fair but it didn't represent good value at all. £11 for 6 tiny shrimp coated in batter equal to the size of the shrimp made it an instantly regrettable choice. Avoid this menu option, if you're thinking of PF Changs then think again, this isn't even close. I think we will avoid dining here again. We only went as we were travelling past and decided to dine in star city due to proximity to the motorway however I wish we had spent the extra time going to lady pool road and braved the parking situation. When sharing my experience, a local friend remarked this place is like a fast food outlet masquerading as a restaurant but that statement is quite offensive to fast food places.

If you are looking for some delicious Chinese but now the sweet ones that you can get form a Chinese takeaway, then I would totally recommend Oodles & Oodles. They have dumplings what I know as steamed momos (for you Indians out there) I have been visiting this restaurant for over a decade! It never fails to hit the spot :) Miryam was amazing when we were there for lunch on Saturday. She paid attention to what we wanted and took cared of us well.

Came here for the first time, served by Maryam. We had no idea what to get but she recommended us good food based on our preferences, she was very helpful and professional, would come here again.

Wow. That was a horrible experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. As soon as our group of eight arrived, things felt off. The woman at the front desk wasn’t welcoming at all. The place didn’t feel warm or inviting, it felt more like we were an inconvenience. Once we were seated, the experience only got worse. The waiter who took our order was incredibly rude and lacked even the basics of customer service. We mentioned that one of the children with us had a food allergy, and he immediately told us we’d need to sign a document. Fair enough, except they had run out of the proper form and asked us to sign a blank piece of paper instead. When we questioned that, he seemed annoyed. We asked him to at least write something on it first, but it was clear he wasn’t interested in being helpful. Who in their right mind would sign a blank piece of paper? We asked him to continue taking our order while they sorted out the document. As we ordered, one of our friends asked for the spicy beef noodles, and the waiter smirked and said, “Will you be able to handle the spice?”to a grown 25-year-old man. His tone was rude and condescending. When we asked him questions about the menu, he literally walked off mid-conversation. A few minutes later, we overheard him complaining to the manager about the kids at our table laughing. Since when is it a problem for children to laugh in a restaurant? Now, the food. Honestly? It was terrible. They overloaded the dishes with chopped chilies to the point where it was barely edible. Most of us could only manage a few bites before giving up. The only thing that was remotely decent was the steak. To top it all off, the bill included an item we never ordered. It took over 10 minutes for the front desk staff to fix it, and even then, there was no apology for the inconvenience. All in all, one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Terrible service, bad food (except the steak), and a staff that seemed more bothered by us than anything else. Never again.

The food portions were disappointingly small, the milkshake tasted awful, and the meal including the chicken steak, chips, and noodles was undercooked, making my family and me unwell, even causing us to vomit.

After a fun family bowling session at Star City, our evening took a sharp downturn with a truly disappointing visit to Oodles Noodles. Adding to the initial frustration, despite attempting to phone ahead to book a table for our party of 13 (8 adults and 5 young children), we were met with the now-familiar response that they don’t take bookings. While somewhat understandable for a restaurant of this size, it inevitably led to a significant 40-minute wait, which was far from ideal with hungry children in tow. The fact that the table we were eventually offered barely accommodated our group should have been a sign of things to come. However, the real issues began once we were seated at an unset table – no plates, cutlery, napkins, or even glasses were present. Despite being ready to order immediately, our server was nowhere to be found. Eventually, we managed to get her attention, and she took our order. What followed was a comedy of errors in slow motion. Ten minutes later, another server brought a partial set of plates, cutlery, and napkins – not enough for everyone. More requests were needed just to get the basics. Finally, after further prompting, we received enough crockery and cutlery, but the six glasses that eventually arrived were a mismatched collection of various shapes and sizes – utterly unacceptable for any restaurant. While the food arrived relatively quickly, which was a relief for the increasingly hungry children, the quality was mediocre at best. The three chicken platters lacked any discernible flavor, two of the four noodle dishes tasted identical, and one was remarkably bland. The Sambal rice was particularly offensive, tasting burnt and like it had been scraped from the bottom of the wok. The plain noodles were passable, but that’s hardly a culinary triumph. Throughout our meal, there was no check-back from our server to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. Once we had finished our uninspired meal, the staff seemed equally uninterested in offering desserts or even a simple tea or coffee. We couldn't wait to leave. Having visited Oodles N Noodles multiple times purely out of convenience due to the lack of alternatives in Star City, this experience has solidified our decision to seek other options in the future. Thankfully, the upcoming openings of Afrikana and Shrimp Shack offer a glimmer of hope for better dining choices. If they aren't open by our next visit to Star City, we will undoubtedly be heading to Nandos instead. My recommendations to the management of Oodles N Noodles are stark: 1. Reconsider your booking policy: For larger groups, especially families, the inability to book adds unnecessary stress and waiting time. Perhaps a partial booking system or a dedicated area for larger parties could be implemented. 2. Prioritise basic service standards: Ensure all tables are fully set before seating guests. This includes adequate plates, cutlery, napkins, and matching glasses for everyone. 3. Improve staff training and attentiveness: Servers should be readily available to take orders, conduct routine check-backs, and offer additional service like desserts and drinks. 4. Address food quality issues urgently: The inconsistencies in flavor, the blandness of some dishes, and the unacceptable quality of items like the Sambal rice need immediate attention in the kitchen. 5. Focus on the customer experience: It's clear that the current focus seems to be elsewhere, likely on expansion. Management needs to reinvest in the basics at existing locations and ensure a positive dining experience for their customers. Perhaps a visit to this branch during peak hours would be insightful. The combination of the no-booking policy and the subsequent poor service and mediocre food made for a truly disappointing family meal. With new options on the horizon in Star City, Oodles N Noodles risks losing loyal customers if they don't drastically improve their standards and customer care. Basic hospitality should not be a luxury.

Food is delicious however the manager (woman in black suit) is extremely rude. We ordered takeout and she behaved in a way as though we were paying less for the food. She told us to get up from the table we were sitting in and to sit in the outer area. She did not ask as nicely but told us angrily. The place was right under the heater and my little brother was feeling sick sitting there. We waited more than 30 minutes after which when my husband asked the man at the front how long it will take, he had no idea and told my husband to go to the back counter again (where we originally had sat). My husband then had to go to the kitchen staff himself to ask if the food was ready and then got the food. Never again will I spend my hard earned money to buy such rudeness. We were regular sit in customers before, but we will never go back there again after this behaviour.

Absolutely appalling, the food was disappointing, made my belly really hurt.. not only me but my kids as well! Food was cold and chicken did not taste fresh! Tbh gave us all the runs! Service is crap and rude waiters. Really need to fix up.. if you have an allergy they make u sign a paper? Never have been made to do this at any other restaurant.. will not be going back!!

I have visited Oodles N’Oodles a few times and I am always impressed. The place was buzzing with people, which is always a good sign. Despite how busy it was, the service was quick, efficient, and friendly — a smooth experience from start to finish. The food was packed with authentic flavours and everything tasted freshly made. From the noodles to the mains, each dish delivered on taste and presentation. It’s also worth mentioning that the prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size you get. If you’re looking for a tasty and affordable bite in Star City, Oodles N’Oodles is definitely worth checking out.

Shrimp Tempura is just fried shrimp.. I believe they don’t know what is tempura. And we (three people) ordered medium well steak, we got three ALL well done ones.. their Diet Coke is also not coke cola or Pepsi, tastes weird

Ordered the Malaysian chicken curry and egg fried rice. Asked for it to be made hot spicy but it was not. Asked for tap water and did not receive it. Asked for salt and did not receive it. Abysmal service. It wasn't even busy. The bell peppers in the chicken curry were hard. Just thrown in and uncooked. Really disappointed about the whole meal given the price paid. Also ordered chicken chow mein but not spicy or tasty. Very bland food altogether. The dynamite chicken wasn't too bad. Probably, will not visit again.

The reservation was long however it seemed promising when my name was called i came to ask at a table however she had given instant attitude and she was saying i have to sit next to he toilets seats as its policy and i asked if someone had booked the nice seats. She said no and then i asked to see her manager and the manager came up to me really rude as if he had just dealt with another customer that complained and he had said if you dont want to sit there you can leave. I left really i dont recommended .

Had a terrible experience here. Food is extremely mid especially for its price point. The seating is very cramped and the service was terrible and not family friendly. Will not be returning here, you are better off spending your money elsewhere.

We’ve been going to this place for years but never again, I don’t write bad reviews but from this experience I don’t have a choice my younger sister and brother both have speech delay and development delay. My brother wanted to stay in his pushchair and we kindly asked the staff if he could but the lady said no as she doesn’t want to open another section as it wasn’t busy? Basically declining are request even tho my mum explained to her that he won’t sit down and she just suggested to try the high chair. We tried the high chair and my brother started crying which caused both staff and people to look at us. My mum had to walk around with my brother around the restaurant to calm him down but there was still no sympathy from staff. Maybe at this point we should of walked out but we decided to order food which take long cause the staff wouldn’t come to our table, once we ordered my mum spotted the manger and went to have a word with him if we could move he brushed my mum off and had no remorse using another excuse saying the chefs are eating there but when I looked there were no chefs eating in that section. My mum explained her situation again yet they still didn’t care which resulted my mum to have her food packed and walk out the restaurant with my brother while me and mum sister eat due to the food already being served. This is absolutely upsetting that in there big restaurants they couldn’t find a table suitable to having a pushchair. You haven’t just lost us as customers but my entire family and friends and hopefully others that have sen and development delay children. Fear Allah you could end up in the same situation. Won’t be missing the food anyways x

Noodles were average the spicy noodles i would not call them noodles at all!!! the egg noodles lacked flavour and tasted a bit burnt the kids meal chicken nuggets only four nuggets whereas all the other restaurants give at least six!!! Drinks nothing special

First thing I noticed was how worn out the seats were… I mean they were awful. Food arrived quick, noodles were ok but beef was rubbery and lacked flavour it was very obviously not fresh. In fact it tasted and looked 3-4 days old and had simply been reheated. Staff were just waiting to go home and never really showed any customer service. Poor all around.

Food was delicious, service was 5* Maryam the waitress taken my order she explained about food allergies maryam was friendly but we had a lovely time was nice speaking to maryam my daughter has many allergies she didn't eat but I was made aware due to she is autistic my favourite thing maryam had the knowledge and was really caring she spoke in a gentle manner to my daughter. Abit shocked what happened did they change the cook , worst chicken soup like jelly , chicken taste not flavored, mains were equally bad , we returned all the soup , sweet sour chicken like made in tomatoe sauce , stir fried rice equally bad . I think the chef was no good for lunch time .

We had an amazing experience thanks to a young lady named Maryam! There were ten of us, and she handled our chaotic pick-and-mix order with such professionalism and patience. The food was fantastic and served hot, and we nearly finished everything. We were served in just 15 minutes. Thank you so much! x

Dined here with my family on 1st April 2025, overall wasn't bad but not the usual standards in food quality. The chicken shashlik was a bit dry and they have started using chicken breast strips for it. The rice that came with it was cold and very clearly not fresh and also very dry. The crispy beef was amazing as always though. Crispy chicken rolls were also good. Both noodle dishes we got were good, Malaysian spicy noodles and Oodles fried noodles mild. Service provided by staff was excellent, very polite and attentive. Great family friendly atmosphere.

I was really looking forward to trying Noodles and Oodles after reading so many good reviews, but my experience was nothing like what others described. I ordered the Beef Spicy Noodles, expecting a flavorful and well-balanced dish, but what I got was oily, greasy, and completely lacking spice. Instead of the udon noodles I expected, they served chow mein. Giving a 1 star is like an insult. I would have rated less an a minus if that was an option To make matters worse, the spice wasn’t even in the dish—they gave me a separate pot of sweet and spicy sauce, which felt like a lazy attempt to fix the flavor. For the price I paid, I expected way better quality. Honestly, I wish I could get a refund. After this, I won’t be trusting online reviews so easily. I won’t be coming back.

The best place to go if you want Chinese the Singapore sweet and sour is so good

I used to come here a few years ago and loved it, but this time it was awful. We came at iftar time and it was full so we waited 50 minutes for a table. There were 5-6 tables free but the staff were not cleaning them, so we could’ve been seated much earlier. We ordered one original noodles and one Singapore style and wanted both medium, but they gave us 2 spicy Singapore style noodles. Once I mentioned it to the waiter he tried to gaslight us into saying it’s one of each, but once we got the receipt we could clearly see it said 2 Singapore style. We also spoke to the manager and asked if they can just take one of the noodles back and remove it from our bill but she said ‘it’s not possible’. Rubbish service and food, really regret coming and do not recommend at all

Food was pretty good. Service was amazing. Served noticed the plates they had given has a little bit of a smidge on it (neither me nor my partner even realised) and took them away and replaced them with freshly washed plates. For what it is and the price you pay I would have expected the food to be a bit better, for example the crispy beef was not saucy and sticky like from a Chinese but battered and fried? But it’s all honestly down to opinion. Was still a very good meal and would visit again

Basura de comida con un servicio aún peor. Fui con unos cuantos amigos a los que no veía desde hacía tiempo. El camarero cobarde y el servicio agresivo estropearon la reunión. El camarero tomó nuestro pedido donde especificamos que queríamos los 5 entrantes primero y luego la red. Se lo dijimos en inglés y en urdu/hindi para asegurarnos de que entendía. Sirvieron los entrantes y antes de que pudiéramos tomar un par de bocados vinieron con la red. El tipo de servicio era grosero y quería forzar la red en la mesa, mintiendo y diciendo que la orden dice que queríamos todo al mismo tiempo. Pedimos que uno de los platos se lo llevaran a casa así que el camarero usó una cuchara sucia de la mesa de uno de los comensales para poner la comida para llevar en un recipiente. Cuando lo señalamos no hubo ni una sola disculpa ni aceptación del comportamiento repugnante. Pagó y se fue con prisa. Comida de basura con servicio de basura

Save your time and your money! Unfortunately the standards of Oodles have very clearly depreciated and the food is underwhelming at most! Can’t complain about the price as it is relatively cheap but there are better options out there, being overwhelmingly disappointed is an understatement.

This place has gone so down hill its ridiculous! They served me raw beef and chicken! Foods now vile! And the drinks are cheap but still charging the same price as the proper ones! They’ve replaced coke with cola but still charge £2.75 for it! Customer service is shocking! Woman with long brown hair in black blazer think she’s a team leader, needs stepping down a few pegs, thinks she runs the place and her attitude is vile! Tried telling me the meat should look like that, but then went on to say she wasn’t a chef so wouldn’t know but couldn’t assist any further, I complained and never paid. Will never be returning and will be telling all friend and family who enjoyed this place before of the changes.

Visited today for my daughter's birthday, and I was really disappointed with the service. They clearly stated that they wouldn't serve my son, who is only 4 and has multiple allergies. This is the first restaurant that has outright refused to serve him. We've been to many takeouts and restaurants that offer alternatives, and he’s had food from places where cross-contamination was a concern, but no one has ever said they wouldn't serve him or that he couldn't bring food from outside. Thankfully, I had already ensured he has eaten something or he would have been starving; he ended up just having fries. I understand they might be trying to protect themselves in case of any incidents, but not having alternative options for someone with food allergies is unacceptable. I've had better steaks elsewhere. At least now I know what this place is like, and I won’t be coming back. Steak looks really dry and the presentation is dire.

King prawns taste rotten. Noodles are salty. Service are not great either.

Ordered grilled chicken and dry beef rice. Chicken was not fresh and definitely couple of days old Dry beef rice was old aswell and tasteless Only had one spoon of rice and it put me off straight away. Waitresses was very apologetic of poor quality of food tho. I also had opprtuinty to speak with mamager ( "basit "on my request ) . Manager acted as he is sales person of primark and he had zero knowledge of customer service and absolutely no knowledge of food and quality of food His only justification to me was " we still have same chef from many years " I told manager ill still pay you full bill but the quality of food is absolutely rubish and he took my insult as a compliment and walked away . He was happy that i paid him for a food which i didnnt eat at all . You can see the payment slip and also the food we returned untouched.

Went here 1st time and I will definitely be going back, the service I received by a lovely lady Mariam was amazing, wasn’t sure what to order she helped me pick. Thank you very much for such great service Mariam and the food of course was very tasty.

First time I came here. Food is a bit hit and miss depending on what you get. Had chicken dim sum, wonton soup, spicy chips, spicy beef noodles, chicken and prawn noodles and got a takeaway dish of beef pepper schetzwan. The chicken dim sum was really good, the spicy beef noodles were amazing, seriously spicy, did what it said, the chicken and prawn noodles were average, could've been a lot more flavourful, and the beef pepper schetzwan was delicious.

I had my second visit. I thought the soup serving bowl don't justify the price. Also the bowl size is different to last time, I queried this to the manager and I am not surprised by the response. I think the food is still good, given the potion size we had, this restaurant is definitely higher on the pricing. And there soup portion bowl size does vary per each visit, which is quite annoying. Rest is all fine.

Rib eye steak was delicious. Mariam provided excellent service to us.
