Onesti's Fast Foods in North Lanarkshire

Visited very briefly at lunchtime. Did not buy anything due to the rudeness of one of the two women working there. Asked for a pizza and chips combination thing that was sitting already prepared and snapped at by the woman stating that there were three pizza options. Without telling me what they were I said I would take whatever was nearest. I’d never seen a “pizza crunch” before but it looked horrible and said I didn’t want that one to which I was met with a huffy retort of “well that’s why I asked you want you wanted”. A list of what you do have instead of “pizza and chips” might help your customers then. The shop was swarming with school kids but I am in my 40’s and certainly won’t be spoken to in such a curt and nasty manner which they may be possibly used to using with their younger clientele that won’t tell them where to go in response due to naivety and lack of experience. Walked out without purchasing anything, which I’m glad about as the food looked pretty disgusting.

A very good take away, they do not scrimp on the portions and are always very friendly, no favorite suppers they are all good.

Superb fish and chips are served here. Some of the best fish I've ever had from a chippy and I've had a few. 2 whole fish per portion. A man sized supper

Was a Friday and didn't feel like cooking remembered we had been to Onesti,s a while back Jumped in the car and off we went busy with carry outs , but sit in was pretty busy to two Mini-fish teas was the order Chips (freshly cooked & crispy) 1x fish (medium size, crispy and fresh ) two slices of bread & butter and two cups of tea all served quickly by friendly female waitress all for the grand sum of 11.20 Clean & uncluttered , toilets also clean and basic recommended for a quick snack or meal at a very reasonable price

I got two fish supers out of this place and when i got home to eat them they were terible the chips were ok but the fish was as if it was re heats will not be back in there

I have used this chippie multiple times and it's always good quality. Staff are pleasant and make conversation while you wait for you food to be prepared. Not a bad thing to say.

This was my first visit to this chip shop in decades and how the mighty have fallen. This used to be one of the best chip shops in Motherwell, but I'm sorry to say, I won't be back. My friend and I ordered their fish supper with tea and bread. When the bread arrived I asked if it was spread with butter - her answer was," She didn't know", yet when my pal remarked on her using butter for everything the waitress suddenly knew they DIDN'T use butter. Strike one. Next I looked on my table for the red sauce (ketchup), and only brown sauce was available, and this was EVERY table and there was no red sauce to be had. A chip shop with no ketchup??? That's like bacon without eggs! The tea was lukewarm and in the smallest cup I have ever used. Two mouthfuls and it was finished. Pass this by and try the Rex, especially if you want red sauce on your chips!

Popped in to get a fish supper because the standard fish suppers from this place are as good as I've tasted anywhere and the staff are efficient and polite. As I have reviewed elsewhere the delivery is a bit dodgy but if you can get up to this place then do it cos the food is gold.😊😊

Onesti's does a good fish & chips & they cook it fresh from when you order. If you are in a rush & want fast food this chip shop is good.

Been going to onestis as long as i can remember .. You get what you pay for big massive portions . Best chippy in lanarkshire

Ok food but I would avoid the donner. Everything else I've had has been good but the donner was too greasy, was grey coloured and soggy.

The food was a great as always, but the lady behind the counter wants to slow down (less haste and all that) and chill out instead of screaming like a banshee at customers.

Looked at Onesties online menu to decide what to order and when I called up to order I was told that all the prices were wrong!!! Some were more than a pound dearer than advertised!!! Get your site updated or get it taken of the internet.... Vey poor.

The pizza crunch is amazing!! Friendly staff and good atmosphere!! I would recommend a visit here to anyone, it's brilliant!!!

one of the best chippies out love to sit in here this has been around for years the staff are all very helpful love the fritters out of here quite expensive but every chippy is nowadays

Good take-away fish and chips, especially the special fish in breadcrumbs. Delicious. Chips could be a little less fatty though.
