I only heard of this place after being approached by a scam AI service that asked me to scam potential clients by rating this place 5 stars despite never being... This is of course to boost the review ratings on this place. Clearly this company is involving itself in corrupt activities to boost Google reviews rather than providing a good enough service to the actual clients going to this establishment. It's for this reason that I rate it a 1 star, simply because they will try to decive people looking for a place to eat from Google.

Visitamos para un almuerzo en un menú fijo y la comida era lo suficientemente agradable, pero nada excepcional. Tuvimos sopa de zanahoria y cilantro y bresaola para empezar, con pollo supremo y lubina para principal. Los postres eran desorden de Eton y arroz con leche. La comida era todo cálido y decente. El servicio fue amable y profesional en todo momento, con personal super servicial. No es mala relación calidad-precio, pero sin duda mejores lugares para encontrar.

Vinimos por un almuerzo sin fondo. La comida estaba bien, pero seguían faltando ingredientes. Mi garbanzo de salmón no tenía huevos cocidos, que se dieron cuenta ellos mismos y sacaron más tarde. El desastre de Eton de mi compañero no tenía merengues, lo que tuvimos que señalar. La camarera era muy atenta y seguía acercándose preguntando si queríamos que nuestras bebidas se recargaran a pesar de que el vaso estaba solo medio vacío. Me sorprendió, ya que el menú decía que las bebidas solo se reemplazarían o rellenarían cuando los vasos estuvieran vacíos. Pero estaba feliz con eso. Pero cuando recibimos la factura (por 12 . 5 % de cargo por servicio, ya que la comida fue prepagada) , entendimos por qué! Cada vez que recargaban nuestros vasos, lo contaban como un vaso lleno y luego nos cobraban en base a esa cantidad total! Creo que eso no es solo descarado sino deshonesto, y no volverá.

My husband and I went for a late lunch for his birthday and was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of the food. The food was tasty and of generous portions. The young lady who served us, Vanessa ,was very friendly. The lady at the front of house ,Jessica,was also very helpful and friendly. Thanks for making it an enjoyable experience.

We came for the set lunch and the summary is the meal was bland. We paid a supplement for the beetroot cured gravadlax starter and we had no complaints about the portion size. However nothing on the plate had any flavour. Apparently there was a citrus vinaigrette - that would have helped but it was either missing or lacking any citrus or vinegar. The main was a pain fried sea bass which was well cooked. The skin was not crispy but otherwise it was good. The sauce vierge lacked herbs and flavour so the whole dish was just coated with oil. It’s a shame as both courses would have been good if the sauces had some punch. The rice pudding was equally bland. The stewed fruit were some crunchy apple or pear. Maybe the plan is not to offend diners, but I expected a lot more flavour and finesse. The lady that served us was lovely and really helpful.

Well cooked food but not a restaurant setting. Go if it's for food, don't if you look for a romantic place.

Christmas Eve dinner at 1212. We went for the 3 course set menu with wine. We were seated at the back of the restaurant which does not have the best of the ambience. Being a set menu the options were limited as expected. But the food was a disappointment. The choices for starters were a chicken pate, salmon or a butter squash soup for the vegetarians. Similarly the main course had a turkey, chicken as well as a vegetable biryani for the vegetarians. The food was bland, looked tired and were very plain. The Christmas pudding was also a disappointment with the pudding being very dense and custard very runny.

We celebrated our anniversary here and the food was so delicious! We had a three - course - meal with a bottle of sparkling wine. There was always a staff member around to fill up our empty glass. The food came after the perfect amount of breaks in between the courses and was a good amount so you didn’t feel hungry or sick after. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

We had a fabulous lunch there on the 11th Dec. I thought 3 courses for £45 was excellent value. I wish I took the name of the waitress we had, she was excellent. We'll definitely return

Booking no problem, but as it's busy you can't just turn up. For food we had the festive menu, of which all dishes looked good. Of what we had, every bit was eaten. The service from Lamgie was perfect, always ensuring we were happy but without over doing it. We would go again without doubt 🙂

Excellent meal, gravalax starter, turkey roast dinner, and Christmas pudding with ice cream, all presented impeccably. Service provided by Lamgie ☆☆☆☆☆, who was attentive and a perfect waitress, made the experience very pleasant, a credit to the restaurant.

Really beautiful hotel and the food was really nice. I had the Quinoa salad to start which was tasty, but quite salty then I had the seabass as a main which was lovely. We went on a bottomless lunch experience and chose the Prosecco which I recommend. The staff were really friendly and helpful from the entrance of the hotel to the restaurant.

Was looking forward to our date night but it didn't meet our hopes and expectations. We got given a voucher for a three course meal with a bottle of sparkling wine for Christmas. When we arrived we were guided to our table, at first the impression was rather good but when the Waiter came around not with a greeting but immediately with the bottle of sparkling wine. When asked if they had any alcohol free options we were given the choice of alcohol free beer or orange juice or coke which was disappointing. We also had to call the waiter for some water which is normally the first thing that a guest is offered at any restaurant. Another thing that was disappointing was the charge on some of the options was which not disclosed on the voucher or told by the host. The price is not a problem but the fact that the menu was limited to a few options to enjoy. The room itself was rather pleasant to look at but there was nothing that appealed to the eye. Food was alright at best, it was rather disappointing considering that we have used vouchers at other places and received a much better meal and service compared to this place. Another point to mention was that the napkin that was used for our bottle was already previously used. Rather unpleasant since that's not what we were expecting. Something else was that they didn't ask at any point if we had allergies or any dietary requirements. They had 3 opportunities to do this and not a single chance did they. Luckily we don't but it's much appreciated when extra steps are taken to ensure that guest have a pleasing experience. The three opportunities were on the phone when I made a query and then booked, at the arrival by the host and lastly the waiter who didn't really explain the menu of what we would be enjoying.

Booked for afternoon tea. Excellent experience, staff are very friendly. Slow service for first 10 mins of arrival from reception to afternoon tea arrival, after that was good. Excellent atmosphere as many people arrived for afternoon tea. Disappointed with the request with certain sandwich, as staff basically said no. As emailed before hand requesting only a certain sandwich. Dress code is casual.

Went to the Royal Horseguards Hotel for a lunchtime meal, which was very enjoyable. HOWEVER, the experience in trying to get the table booked was the worst I have ever had from any establishment. Although the restaurant has its own dedicated number, it must have taken me 3–4-man hours trying to get through. Either the number was engaged, never answered and on several occasions the line was dead, as if the phone had been taken off the receiver. I then tried calling front of house. Again, on several occasions the phone was not answered or I would get an automated message to say that ‘the mail box was full please try later.’ What 5-star hotel cannot manage incoming calls that customers have to keep redialling? Then when I get manage to get through, I would be told that the restaurant was busy serving breakfast or lunch and to please try later. This is not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. I even tried emailing the hotel, but again never received even an acknowledgement that someone would get back to me. I was eventually able to get through to the restaurant and made a booking for 1:30pm. I was told that I would receive a text in the next few hours to confirm the booking. Eventually, 7 days later I did receive a text, but this was confirming a booking for 1pm. Well at least they had the correct date. Now the final straw…. Some of the staff in the restaurant need more training regarding the products on the menu. Because when we were ordering my wife asked the waitress what ‘Double Cooked Chicken’ was. The waitress (and I kid you not) said that it meant the chicken was not served red. EXCUSE me. who on earth would want to consume raw chicken. Royal Horseguards, you really do need to get your act together.

Food was very nice but it was let down by the attitude of the restaurant host. Her attitude was appalling. We arrived on time but were table wasn’t ready, fine, after 25 minutes we asked again and she was very dismissive. We asked about drinks while we waited and was told she’d arrange them. After a further 10 minutes we were seated but no drinks. To be fair we were given complimentary drinks at the table. There was no salt or pepper on the table and we couldn’t get the waiters attention. Desert came but without any cutlery. To top it off the host watched us try to leave through entrance which was now locked and waited for us to ask for help before telling us to leave through the hotel entrance.

We bought a voucher from Buyagift for around £70 for a bottomless brunch for two. This was a bargain in itself as the cost for the bottomless brunch is £55 per person, so we saved £40 ! Making the booking was a little difficult as we found a couple of phone numbers for the hotel and restaurant, one of which rang without answer and the other went to a full mailbox. In the end I filled out an enquiry form online at the website asking for someone to call me and make a booking, it took a couple of days, but they did call me and I was able to make a booking. When we arrived at the restaurant/hotel, we were seated immediately at a very nice table for two. Our bottomless brunch included 90 minutes of bottomless sparkling wine, draught beer or soft drinks. Our booking was 3:30pm, we did have to wait 20 minutes for our first drink to arrive, but they were still topping up our sparking wine at 5:10pm, so we were still getting our 90 minutes worth! I had the fish & chips and my partner had the steak and eggs, the portion sizes were very generous indeed and the food was excellent. Although they did forget the eggs on the "steak and eggs" but we didn't flag this up as my partner wasn't too bothered about the eggs ! We both opted for the waffles with syrup and cream for dessert, it was heavenly ! I would say we probably had about 4 glasses each of the sparkling wine [prosecco] we tried to work out what the individual costs of the meal and drinks would have been and it wasn't far off about £150, so with the £55 per person it would have been £110 but with the buyagift voucher at £70 we were paying about half the price. I would definitely do this again and I would use a buyagift voucher for savings! We did have to pay a £9.37 service charge, but to be fair I was going to leave a £10 tip anyway, so it didn't pose a problem. However, they are cashless, so be prepared for this if you go there.

We had the pleasure of dining at One Twenty Two, a nice restaurant located in a four-star hotel with a relaxing ambiance. The atmosphere is refined and elegant, perfect for a quiet meal or special occasion. Unfortunately, our experience with the service and cuisine left much to be desired, far from flawless service. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty—with only three or four tables occupied and plenty of waitstaff—we had to wait an excessive 45 to 60 minutes between courses. Given the low number of diners, this was particularly frustrating. To make matters worse, basic errors were made, which one would not expect at a restaurant of this caliber. For instance, we were served soup without spoons, and napkins were missing entirely. These simple mistakes reflect a level of disorganization that was both surprising and disappointing. The meal, which consisted of three courses, ended up taking a staggering 3.5 hours. Waiting this long for service in an upscale establishment reflects poorly on the management and coordination of both the kitchen and the front-of-house staff. It’s simply unacceptable for such delays to occur when the restaurant is not even at half capacity. It left us feeling as though there was a total lack of communication and efficiency between the team members. To add to our frustration, during our final 45-minute wait for dessert, a waiter had the audacity to ask if we were "ready." It was clear to us by then that the service was not only slow but also lacking in attention to detail and guest care. As for the cuisine, while it was adequate, there was nothing remarkable about it. The dishes lacked complexity, flavor, and proper seasoning. For a place aspiring to deliver a high-end dining experience, the food fell flat and was missing that extra touch of creativity and finesse. I would not award any culinary accolades based on what we experienced. In summary, One Twenty Two has potential thanks to its pleasant ambiance, but there are significant areas for improvement in both the service and the kitchen. Waiting as long as we did, with so few people in the restaurant, is completely unacceptable. It was an underwhelming experience that does not align with the expectations of a fine dining restaurant in a four-star hotel.

Delicious food cozy ambiance and attentive service make this place special

The service of the staff especially Lee and Glenda cannot be faulted however not impressed with the quality of the afternoon tea itself. Jam definitely not made in-house. Scones quite dry. Patisserie very odd combination of flavours. The sandwiches are average at best.

This was bought as a birthday treat and what a treat is was! You know a place was good when weeks later you think about the real, the restaurant, the evening and it makes you smile! The terrace was perfect for drinks on a balmy London evening. Thwn into the restaurant for fantastic 3 course dining. Service was attentive but not OTT, food and requests were carried out to the letter. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Came with my family for a celebration, food was just ok. The service was mediocre, only saw the staff when they brought the food, but end up with a large amount for service charge. They brought out a slice of cake for the celebration which we hadn’t asked about and found a charge of £9 for it

So disappointed by our meal here. Two of us for bottomless brunch. Firstly 'brunch' is a stretch, it's a normal lunch menu with fish & chips, steak etc, the only brunch like option is an avocado toast starter. Secondly the food was so bland and sub-par that I was tempted to contest the bill. Kedgeree that was just yellow coloured rice/overcooked lentils with a piece of salmon (with soggy skin), not a spice to be found. And the waffles were obviously bought in and heated up - very dry and crumbly, couldn't finish it. The thought of what we could've got for this price elsewhere...!

It would have been a perfect dining experience if it wasn't for the incorrect bill, it took awhile to resolve, wasted my vacation time.

Booked this a gift for a birthday but to be honest I was quite disappointed. No real atmosphere, service was pretty much non existent and certainly not worth the 12.5% service charge. Started well, we were seated shown the menu and then once we had been given our tea and sandwiches we were left. At first that seemed quite nice, but our tea was cold and not replenished, our sparkling wine was flat. When we asked for a second glass, we waited over half an hour. It wasn’t up to the standard I would expect for the price nor for a prestigious hotel competing with others in the area. Needs to work on customer service and attentiveness, if it’s to raise its standards.

Absolutely amazing. We had the bottomless brunch, and the food was to die for. Staff were so accommodating and kind. Thomas, the restaurant manager was so attentive and had a wonderful character.

The food and service was incredible! A great well priced menu. I scallops and prawns, a salmon Thai curry style dish and a crème brûlée style dessert. Was absolute 5* all the stuff went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. A special thanks to Jungha for being so accommodating and helpful for our whole family. Fabulous bottomless brunch at One Twenty One Two. The set menu has 2 courses but you can add another either from the brunch menu or from the main menu at an additional charge. Plenty of delicious dishes to choose from. The staff were lovely, even providing a surprise desert with a candle and sang happy birthday!
