The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Overall, I would definitely recommend ‘ One Twenty One Two’ to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

Really beautiful hotel and the food was really nice. I had the Quinoa salad to start which was tasty, but quite salty then I had the seabass as a main which was lovely. We went on a bottomless lunch experience and chose the Prosecco which I recommend. The staff were really friendly and helpful from the entrance of the hotel to the restaurant.

The food was top class, I would highly recommend. The service was really good after the first 4 minutes of waiting from the reception. Definitely deserves a five star.

Was looking forward to our date night but it didn't meet our hopes and expectations. We got given a voucher for a three course meal with a bottle of sparkling wine for Christmas. When we arrived we were guided to our table, at first the impression was rather good but when the Waiter came around not with a greeting but immediately with the bottle of sparkling wine. When asked if they had any alcohol free options we were given the choice of alcohol free beer or orange juice or coke which was disappointing. We also had to call the waiter for some water which is normally the first thing that a guest is offered at any restaurant. Another thing that was disappointing was the charge on some of the options was which not disclosed on the voucher or told by the host. The price is not a problem but the fact that the menu was limited to a few options to enjoy. The room itself was rather pleasant to look at but there was nothing that appealed to the eye. Food was alright at best, it was rather disappointing considering that we have used vouchers at other places and received a much better meal and service compared to this place. Another point to mention was that the napkin that was used for our bottle was already previously used. Rather unpleasant since that's not what we were expecting. Something else was that they didn't ask at any point if we had allergies or any dietary requirements. They had 3 opportunities to do this and not a single chance did they. Luckily we don't but it's much appreciated when extra steps are taken to ensure that guest have a pleasing experience. The three opportunities were on the phone when I made a query and then booked, at the arrival by the host and lastly the waiter who didn't really explain the menu of what we would be enjoying.

Booked for afternoon tea. Excellent experience, staff are very friendly. Slow service for first 10 mins of arrival from reception to afternoon tea arrival, after that was good. Excellent atmosphere as many people arrived for afternoon tea. Disappointed with the request with certain sandwich, as staff basically said no. As emailed before hand requesting only a certain sandwich. Dress code is casual.

Went to the Royal Horseguards Hotel for a lunchtime meal, which was very enjoyable. HOWEVER, the experience in trying to get the table booked was the worst I have ever had from any establishment. Although the restaurant has its own dedicated number, it must have taken me 3–4-man hours trying to get through. Either the number was engaged, never answered and on several occasions the line was dead, as if the phone had been taken off the receiver. I then tried calling front of house. Again, on several occasions the phone was not answered or I would get an automated message to say that ‘the mail box was full please try later.’ What 5-star hotel cannot manage incoming calls that customers have to keep redialling? Then when I get manage to get through, I would be told that the restaurant was busy serving breakfast or lunch and to please try later. This is not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel. I even tried emailing the hotel, but again never received even an acknowledgement that someone would get back to me. I was eventually able to get through to the restaurant and made a booking for 1:30pm. I was told that I would receive a text in the next few hours to confirm the booking. Eventually, 7 days later I did receive a text, but this was confirming a booking for 1pm. Well at least they had the correct date. Now the final straw…. Some of the staff in the restaurant need more training regarding the products on the menu. Because when we were ordering my wife asked the waitress what ‘Double Cooked Chicken’ was. The waitress (and I kid you not) said that it meant the chicken was not served red. EXCUSE me. who on earth would want to consume raw chicken. Royal Horseguards, you really do need to get your act together.

Food was very nice but it was let down by the attitude of the restaurant host. Her attitude was appalling. We arrived on time but were table wasn’t ready, fine, after 25 minutes we asked again and she was very dismissive. We asked about drinks while we waited and was told she’d arrange them. After a further 10 minutes we were seated but no drinks. To be fair we were given complimentary drinks at the table. There was no salt or pepper on the table and we couldn’t get the waiters attention. Desert came but without any cutlery. To top it off the host watched us try to leave through entrance which was now locked and waited for us to ask for help before telling us to leave through the hotel entrance.

Cozy restaurant with delicious food and fast service. The atmosphere was warm, and the staff made us feel right at home. Definitely a must-try!

We bought a voucher from Buyagift for around £70 for a bottomless brunch for two. This was a bargain in itself as the cost for the bottomless brunch is £55 per person, so we saved £40 ! Making the booking was a little difficult as we found a couple of phone numbers for the hotel and restaurant, one of which rang without answer and the other went to a full mailbox. In the end I filled out an enquiry form online at the website asking for someone to call me and make a booking, it took a couple of days, but they did call me and I was able to make a booking. When we arrived at the restaurant/hotel, we were seated immediately at a very nice table for two. Our bottomless brunch included 90 minutes of bottomless sparkling wine, draught beer or soft drinks. Our booking was 3:30pm, we did have to wait 20 minutes for our first drink to arrive, but they were still topping up our sparking wine at 5:10pm, so we were still getting our 90 minutes worth! I had the fish & chips and my partner had the steak and eggs, the portion sizes were very generous indeed and the food was excellent. Although they did forget the eggs on the "steak and eggs" but we didn't flag this up as my partner wasn't too bothered about the eggs ! We both opted for the waffles with syrup and cream for dessert, it was heavenly ! I would say we probably had about 4 glasses each of the sparkling wine [prosecco] we tried to work out what the individual costs of the meal and drinks would have been and it wasn't far off about £150, so with the £55 per person it would have been £110 but with the buyagift voucher at £70 we were paying about half the price. I would definitely do this again and I would use a buyagift voucher for savings! We did have to pay a £9.37 service charge, but to be fair I was going to leave a £10 tip anyway, so it didn't pose a problem. However, they are cashless, so be prepared for this if you go there.

We had the pleasure of dining at One Twenty Two, a nice restaurant located in a four-star hotel with a relaxing ambiance. The atmosphere is refined and elegant, perfect for a quiet meal or special occasion. Unfortunately, our experience with the service and cuisine left much to be desired, far from flawless service. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty—with only three or four tables occupied and plenty of waitstaff—we had to wait an excessive 45 to 60 minutes between courses. Given the low number of diners, this was particularly frustrating. To make matters worse, basic errors were made, which one would not expect at a restaurant of this caliber. For instance, we were served soup without spoons, and napkins were missing entirely. These simple mistakes reflect a level of disorganization that was both surprising and disappointing. The meal, which consisted of three courses, ended up taking a staggering 3.5 hours. Waiting this long for service in an upscale establishment reflects poorly on the management and coordination of both the kitchen and the front-of-house staff. It’s simply unacceptable for such delays to occur when the restaurant is not even at half capacity. It left us feeling as though there was a total lack of communication and efficiency between the team members. To add to our frustration, during our final 45-minute wait for dessert, a waiter had the audacity to ask if we were "ready." It was clear to us by then that the service was not only slow but also lacking in attention to detail and guest care. As for the cuisine, while it was adequate, there was nothing remarkable about it. The dishes lacked complexity, flavor, and proper seasoning. For a place aspiring to deliver a high-end dining experience, the food fell flat and was missing that extra touch of creativity and finesse. I would not award any culinary accolades based on what we experienced. In summary, One Twenty Two has potential thanks to its pleasant ambiance, but there are significant areas for improvement in both the service and the kitchen. Waiting as long as we did, with so few people in the restaurant, is completely unacceptable. It was an underwhelming experience that does not align with the expectations of a fine dining restaurant in a four-star hotel.

The service of the staff especially Lee and Glenda cannot be faulted however not impressed with the quality of the afternoon tea itself. Jam definitely not made in-house. Scones quite dry. Patisserie very odd combination of flavours. The sandwiches are average at best.

This was bought as a birthday treat and what a treat is was! You know a place was good when weeks later you think about the real, the restaurant, the evening and it makes you smile! The terrace was perfect for drinks on a balmy London evening. Thwn into the restaurant for fantastic 3 course dining. Service was attentive but not OTT, food and requests were carried out to the letter. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Came with my family for a celebration, food was just ok. The service was mediocre, only saw the staff when they brought the food, but end up with a large amount for service charge. They brought out a slice of cake for the celebration which we hadn’t asked about and found a charge of £9 for it

So disappointed by our meal here. Two of us for bottomless brunch. Firstly 'brunch' is a stretch, it's a normal lunch menu with fish & chips, steak etc, the only brunch like option is an avocado toast starter. Secondly the food was so bland and sub-par that I was tempted to contest the bill. Kedgeree that was just yellow coloured rice/overcooked lentils with a piece of salmon (with soggy skin), not a spice to be found. And the waffles were obviously bought in and heated up - very dry and crumbly, couldn't finish it. The thought of what we could've got for this price elsewhere...!

It would have been a perfect dining experience if it wasn't for the incorrect bill, it took awhile to resolve, wasted my vacation time.

I liked this place , the service was excellent and they have really lovely garden where you can enjoy the weather. I loved the dessert choices !

Booked this a gift for a birthday but to be honest I was quite disappointed. No real atmosphere, service was pretty much non existent and certainly not worth the 12.5% service charge. Started well, we were seated shown the menu and then once we had been given our tea and sandwiches we were left. At first that seemed quite nice, but our tea was cold and not replenished, our sparkling wine was flat. When we asked for a second glass, we waited over half an hour. It wasn’t up to the standard I would expect for the price nor for a prestigious hotel competing with others in the area. Needs to work on customer service and attentiveness, if it’s to raise its standards.

Absolutely amazing. We had the bottomless brunch, and the food was to die for. Staff were so accommodating and kind. Thomas, the restaurant manager was so attentive and had a wonderful character.

The food and service was incredible! A great well priced menu. I scallops and prawns, a salmon Thai curry style dish and a crème brûlée style dessert. Was absolute 5* all the stuff went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. A special thanks to Jungha for being so accommodating and helpful for our whole family. Fabulous bottomless brunch at One Twenty One Two. The set menu has 2 courses but you can add another either from the brunch menu or from the main menu at an additional charge. Plenty of delicious dishes to choose from. The staff were lovely, even providing a surprise desert with a candle and sang happy birthday!

We had a late brunch for four persons here booked through Travelzoo. Armed with the booking confirmation received from One Twenty One Two we arrived at our alloted time. Unfortunately the staff were not expecting us and could not fine the booking. We waited quarter of an hour past our meal time before being seated. The four of us were sat at a table located very close to a pillar which frankly made getting in and out of the chair quite awkward. If you're offered a table like this I suggest you ask to be moved but unfortunately we didn't realise until after we had all sat down. Drinks orders taken, starters delivered, unfortunately my wife's salmon still had the preparation paper under it. This was replaced immediately but still no sign of my wife's soft drink but after three requests it eventually arrived at the end of the meal. The main course was nice (sea Bass) and then we had to gain attention to order desserts and coffee. Service seemed to have disappeared. This was a great shame, I had high expectations as previously having dined here it had been one of my favourite places but this time was sadly lacking. My wife had emailed the restaurant directly over a week ago but sadly has not had any response.

Saturday 30th March. Having previously had a really good afternoon tea here a year or so a go, we decided on our easter break to try dinner at 1212. We arrived early so my hubby and I settled ourselves in the bar for a cocktail or 2. Service was quick and the cocktails really good. 1221: Upon entering we were served our wine by a lovely you man. He was chatty and enquired about or day. I believe he was new to the hotel. We were presented with the main menu, but decided to eat from a set menu: Starter: I had the soup starter & hubby had the scallops - Soup was lovely but the scallops were exceptional. Butter soft and very flavourful. Main: We both chose the same main : Pan fried Salmon with Tiger Prawns and a Thai sauce. This is probably the best main meal I've eaten in a very long time, and we eat out a lot. This was a taste explosion. Absolutely delicious and could not be faulted. Absolutely perfect. For desert we both had the Cambridge Cream - Once again this was spot on. All I can say is this was a perfect dining experience. Staff attentive but not too much so. Nothing was too much trouble. Tables cleared in a timely fashion and no rush between courses. Formal but friendly atmosphere done just right. We enjoyed this so much I have re booked for out next visit in July. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the young man who served our wine. We were served out meal by Lamgie & Mohammed. Thank you guys for a wonderful evening. See you again soon

Great spot for lunch. Booked a voucher through Travelzoo for a 3 course meal and a a bottle of prosecco. the food was outstanding. The service was great and our glasses were never empty! They made it special for my partner's 40th and the waitress called Lee was brilliant. All staff were well presented, uniform nice and sharp and all were attentive and friendly.

My steak was tender, well seasoned and cooked to the exact temperature I requested. Table service was impeccable. The check comes with a 12.5% tip included.

We were given a three meal course there. Seems like a lot of people do. Menu choice was quite poor. Fancy names on the menu for basic and average dishes that you can have in a decent pub. Service was slow also.

We went here for Mother's day lunch. We had three course meal with prosecco. Food was well presented and good portions. However we were disappointed with the service we received from staff. Considering this is a 4 star hotel we had to call staff to clear our plates for next course , also they weren't around to top up our glasses. Very unfriendly.. It was a special mother's day treat from my son and daughter on mother's day... Lady waitress was rude to me when I asked to clear the plates as I wanted to take the family photo.. Shame about the service.

Staying here at the Royal Horseguard Hotel, we were very well taken care of by Abdul Mohit with our room service order. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations and appetite! Definitely recommend the room service as well as the morning breakfast.

Nice place and incredibly delicious cuisine! The aroma of the dishes is simply gorgeous! I hope you will forgive my photo of the already started dish, the aroma was so attractive that I forgot to take a photo of the serving! We ordered fish fillet with potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly - crispy crust, just the right amount of spices. I highly recommend this place for dinner. The staff is friendly, interested in all the nuances so that you are as satisfied as possible. Beautiful, antique interior.

The standards have certainly gone downhill. Starter of prawn and scallop was lukewarm and not very tasty. Prawns from the pan fried salmon were bland. Dessert was awful, it tasted like it was mass produced in a factory. This was not the fine dining experience I had previously had. Service was another story, waiters found it difficult to understand what we were saying. We were having to keep repeating ourselves over an over. Very disappointing

Very generous bottomless lunch with two courses £27 per person. We were a group of four and we all enjoyed our experience. The steaks were huge and very tasty as was the fish. Our waitress Ozoda was very attentive and friendly.

My partner treated me to a meal here for my birthday. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and professional. A lot of effort is made to inject flavour into the food. The prawns were perfectly cooked, the best I've ever had. I honestly couldn't fault it! What a lovely evening!

We visited this restaurant using a woucher code and were not disappointed. Service was excellent. Food was good, hot and tasty. Side dishes are charged as extra. As with any hotel alcohol prices are a bit steep. However, for a special occasion its worth it. The ambiance and atmosphere was good. We went on a Wednesday evening, restaurant was quiet.

Have you ever tried blind dating? I decided to take a chance and after meeting it was simple. They invited a girl here, naming her a table and what I would be wearing) the waiters and staff surprised me with their serious approach to this task! The waiter was courteous and very polite, she was delighted, and I was scared but very happy)

Food was really nice but the chairs were worn and shabby and need reupholstering. Also it was very very quiet (which was ok as I was with someone that I had a lot to talk about with). For that I deducted a star.

I am absolutely disgraced that it is impossible to contact this restaurant. I have been trying to book in however when I call the number that is provided on google, it says ‘number incorrect’. I have requested a call back via the hotel and no one has gotten back to me, despite expressing the urgency and leaving several forms of contact options.

Dinner for four last week. Great food/drink and equally slow service due to a large party and limited staff. Two of us enjoyed the vegan Gratinated Cauliflower Steak and the guys loved their Slow Roast Rump of Lamb. It’s rare that I get to enjoy dairy-free desserts such as their Warm Chocolate Brownie and Vanilla Ice Cream. Gin and tonic is my go-to cocktail. It was fun trying their Beefeater Pink gin garnished with fresh raspberries and a bottle of good tonic water. It was a great way to rest our weary feet after a long day of sightseeing. I am glad that we made reservation’s for last Thursday.

The service was amazing throughout our meal, in particular the service provided by our waitress Hortense. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect and every course was delicious and portions were just right. Highly recommend. What a find in London.

Very pleasant restaurant in the middle of a very well decorated hotel. While food was good, it was a little underwhelming- especially for the price. Ordered the scallops tempura with lentil Dahl and wasn't sure what to expect. As the name suggests, the scallops were battered and deep fried and for me, completely lost the delicacy and freshness of the scallop which is a shame. I also thought the lentil Dahl was bland. Ordered the roast rump of lamp for main and I enjoyed this. Lamb was cooked perfectly and was not too chewy. Ordered the hot chocolate fondant for dessert which was good. While I did enjoy the food overall, I probably won't return.

Subpar food, slow service, and the restaurant itself looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. The wine and desserts were good, and the staff was friendly if a little confusing at times. For example, they said we had to wait for a table even though most of the restaurant was empty. Overall, not completely awful, but would not necessarily recommend to a friend coming to visit the city.

Beautiful interiors, not too over fussy, very British and love the design around horses and horse guards...We ate at the restaurant as part of a Birthday treat for my best friend. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and professional as well as masked 😷 up. We even got a lovely personal message on my Instagram page from the Hotel wishing my best friend a lovely birthday and happy to be a part of it...lovely touch

My partner and I had a three course Festive meal at the restaurant before Christmas. All three courses where excellent and where washed down with a nice bottle of Prosecco. The person serving us (I believe called Ayesha) was very good and attentive and the surroundings and decor in the restaurant and Hotel was exquisite. We would definitely eat here again
