Staff seemed lovely but was a bit disappointed as i didn't seem to get the same experience as all the other great reviews. The place itself is lovely and clean..chairs slightly uncomfortable but didn't stay too long hopefully get a better feeling next time we pop in.

Cafe was recommended by family who visited earlier this year. We were 8 for breakfast which was utterly delicious. Our orders of 6 full English breakfasts and 2 avocado on toast with poached eggs arrived quickly and altogether. The staff were super friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

This spot is perfect for breakfasts, lunch or afternoon tea. This family business was one of the friendliest cafes we visited whilst on holiday, their passion for customer care shines through in the way they make you feel as a customer and in their food. The afternoon tea was one of the best I’ve had in this country and the portions will not leave you hungry!

We had breakfast here 3 days in a row, very friendly, quick service. All the staff were lovely. The food was perfect, just what we wanted. We had full English, sausage & bacon barms, yoghurt, granola & berries, All perfect. The cakes looked that good we took some home, can’t wait to eat them, portion sizes are very generous. I’m sorry to have to write a poor review but our experience here was not good. Having seen the previous reviews, we had already decided that we would have Sunday breakfast here during our holiday. It was a good sign that people were waiting outside for it to open at 10am. We queued for a time to place our order and were disappointed to have to wait for 30 minutes for the food to arrive, even though people who came after us were being served. My small breakfast was burned on one side as raw on the other yet still managed to be almost cold, and there wasn’t much of it either. My husband asked for poached eggs and they were best described as ‘bouncy’. Very disappointed.

On holiday this week in Seahouses we decided to try Seahouses Café. We enjoyed delicious meals served by very pleasant staff and we shall definitely return when we are back here later in the year. Out for the day , met up with Granddaughter and boyfriend for lunch , at the moment covered in scaffolding but ignore the outside . Inside is a little gem of a place from the light and airy dining room to the welcoming staff and swift service nothing is to much trouble for them . The food menu is varied and I would say caters for everyone, as to the standard of the food, all our plates were cleared . The only problem was , we had no room to sample the wide selection of sweets available we will try next time . In summary if your are in Seahouses you must visit if just for a coffee and a cake

We booked the afternoon tea with was a beautiful caramelised onion sausage roll, 3 types of sandwiches, a fruit scone with fresh jam and cream, cheese scone with pickle and grated cheese, a strawberry tart each and rockie Road too. It was all high quality, it came with a drink of out choice we both had lattes. I honestly could fault anything from the entire experience. Would not reccommend you take children, didn't tell us there was no highchairs until we ordered our food then asked and they said no there is none. (we probably should of just left then) Our little boy was not going to sit still on a chair while we all ate, I had to go home for his pushchair by the time I got back our food was out and cold. Sat with our coats on as all the windows were open (it was a very windy 13 degree day) basically eat our food and left. How can a cafe not have highchairs and if so on the way in when they see you have a small child why don't they mention it? Won't be returning.

One Coffee 1 was rated as the best cafe in Seahouses, so we decided to try it. We sat outside as it was a lovely sunny day and we had our dog with us. Our table didn't get cleaned after the last customers - even though there was a sign on the table saying not to sit until the table has been cleaned. The waitress took the previous customer's plate and told us to sit without cleaning it. We ordered paninis and coffees - service was prompt, but the bread was hard and the fillings not at all generous. The coffee was also not up to much. We didn't feel inclined to try the homemade cakes.

Vsited on 22nd december. Nice place, lovely looking cakes but no scones. Ordered two coffees and a toasted teacake. The coffee was served and was without doubt the worst coffee I have eve tasted. I do not like very strong coffee, but this was the exact opposite,so weak as to be utterly tasteless. We waited and waited for the teacake to come. The girl who served us was still behind the counter and one girl was busy chatting to friends with a child. Thecafe had by now filled up but this did not seem to bother the girl chatting. Our teacake eventually arrivedand I must say it was lovely. What a pity thecoffre was so atrocious.Mypartner wouldnot let me complain otherwise I wojldhave. The staff need to rouse themselves into action.. The delay in serving the teacake was unnecessary. the cafe being practically empty at the time we ordered.Serving the coffee then a big delay means either (a) drinking the coffee syraight away or (b) waiting for the teacake and letting the coffee grow cold UGH! it wasbad enough drinking it hot.

Stopped in for a mid-afternoon treat on a wet day. Coffees, cake and soft drinks for the kids. It was average at best. The decor is a bit tired and the staff were downright awful. The lady who took our order didn’t smile or make any attempt to engage in conversation. She was curt and disinterested. The lady who brought the tray to the table was even less engaging. While we were in I watched them with other customers and they were curt to the point of being rude at times. Such a shame, a cafe in a tourist spot such as this should thrive on good customer service. Coffee was ok, just black coffees so nothing fancy. The cakes are served in enormous slices, quantity rather than quality I’m afraid. On a side note, there was no soap in the toilets either.

We had been staying seahouses for the week in April and was surprised at good weather we were getting so off we did coming back into town looking at 1st for a bar for a refreshing shandy came across this place advertising licensed premises there's a thought call in for 1, it was on initial sight disappointing to the fact limited choice of alcohol but was soon depressed to the smell of ground coffee and then the sight of cakes and I mean CAKES it would be very hard not to notice them in window chiller it was then that the thought of shandy or even alcohol was forgotten to be replaced by my sweet tooth. Yes please a slice of your coffee and walnut and an Americano with milk along with quiche and pot of tea for the lady and I must say it was a lovely treat and an unexpected change and very reasonably price, not sure how popular the alcohol sides of things would be but sure another couple of lines in the chiller to be addressed but we were happy with the turn out and change on this occasion found staff to be friendly once people were leaving tables were cleared quickly and cleaned although only a few in when we were there they seemed to be kept busy keeping the place spotless would of course visit again the next time we are there without question

Stopped off in the afternoon for a snack and the food and service was excellent. The size of the deserts was amazing and great value for money. Free wifi is available and we will certainly return here.

Visited here for a cup of coffee and slice of cake with my partner. Staff where very friendly, place although quite busy was very well maintained and clean. Coffee was lovely too but the cakes where amazing. We got a Mint Aero Cheescake and a Lemon Cheescake which where both delicious and good portion size. Will definately be back.

Always a friendly feel to this coffee house in Seahouses, with a wide range of very tempting cakes, also nice scones and a very good cup of coffee. Great atmosphere and very welcoming local feel to the place. Free wifi as well. We'll definitely be back!

Sat outside with my dog (it's a shame they don't have dog-friendly indoor areas) and enjoyed an array of breakfast delights. Tasty food, well priced, good service!

Went for a quick lunch. Really nice sandwiches and tea/coffee and the cake is also awesome. Something for everyone the kids had chocolate milkshakes with all the trimmings. Set us up nicely for an afternoon on the beach 😎

We always call in to this tea room when in Seahouses since the welcome is really friendly and the food is "proper".

Played today, Mon 26th August, Great layout, but sadly the greens are diseased and awful, and the tee boxes are terrible, very expensive bar, and no food being served, even though there was a competition on, and the bar was busy, Sadly one to miss in the future.

We visited Hexham yesterday and found this café in the Market Place, after a lovely River Tyne walk. It was quite busy at 1pm but we didn't have to wait long for our table. The girls made us feel very welcome and worked so hard while we were there clearing tables and getting everyone seated as soon as possible. My husband had a bacon sarnie and I had a ham and mushroom omelette which was so light and fluffy, delicious. Coffees were great too. Plenty of choice on the menu and great prices. Doggy friendly too with a treat for pooch 🐾

What a welcoming, hospitable place. If you ever need cheering up, this is the place to go. We were made welcome immediately, and tony the owner had us in stiches from the start. Everyone there were so friendly, and what had started as an intended short visit, led to us staying to closing. Met some brilliant characters, who all just made our day. Dog friendly too, which was an added bonus to us. Can't recommend enough.
