OmNom in Islington

This was very lovely, didn’t realise the chicken was vegan, but even so it was surprisingly nice! My parents loved the dosas. Service was absolutely perfect and everyone seems very lovely. Thank you!!

I visited for vegan afternoon tea with my mum and brother. The food was delicious, full of flavour, and included some lovely bespoke items. My brother went with the à la carte menu. Everything was great, and I’d definitely recommend it. The highlights for me were the vegan masala chai, the vermicelli pudding and the scones with Jam and cream - all vegan.

I had a lovely pre-theatre meal at Namaste. As it was early evening there weren't many diners in. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The meal was filling and the spice guide on the menu was accurate so I didn't get anything that was too hot for me to eat. The food was served promptly so I didn't have to worry about getting to the theatre on time.

Delicious food!! Everything we ate was super tasty, we loved it and will definitely be back. The service was also great 😊

Great spot for Indian breakfast. Everything was really tasty and there were lots of options. Ambience is good as well. It’s a bit of a walk from tube station, but nice location so enjoyed it.

Came to try the new breakfast menu and it did not disappoint! The quality of the food was incredible and such an amazing variety of options, we were spoilt for choice! Many of the food options we had not seen anywhere else! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again soon!

Nostalgic and really tasty vegetarian Indian afternoon tea! Samosas reminded me of Kolkata, the pakoras and dabeli of Mumbai, the Bombay sandwich and chutneys, one cheeky pani puri with a shot glass of tangy paani, a mouthwatering mock chickn kati roll and the sweets ..unreal! Nankhatai, sweet vermicelli, saffron rabri topped with a jalebi!!! Very fun, filling and tasty. Can't wait to come back!

A truly wonderful dinning experience! Krupa served us with a wonderful smile and lost of patience as she allowed us to move and ask a million questions😂 We ordered half the menu and everything was outstanding! The majority of our party was vegan, apart from one meat eater who agreed that the butter chicken was the best version she has ever had! Incredible food and lovely people, could not recommend enough💗

I went to Omnom for a girls afternoon lunch and had the absolute best time. The service was impecable and the owner made an effort to engage with us. What a lovely kind gentleman who even offered some gifts (absolutely free) for my two friends whose birthdays we were celebrating. He even got them the most delicious chocolate cakes (no charge) which we all thoroughly enjoyed. The food was delicious and very well presented. Will definitely go back with my family and would defo recommend.

Food is really good, portions are OK in relation to price, and service is fast. The vibe can be quite chaotic but the place is bright.

Food and service is exceptional! We seat outside on their terrace on a sunny day and it was just perfect. Can only recommend!

Always wanted to come here and was given a table behind the bar. Which lead us to see glasses that were clean however had dead bugs and dead flies. Highly dissatisfied as this is not what u want to see while eating. It was very quite and we ordered some paneer and naan we received the paneer and had to ask them to warm the paneer as it had got cold by the time we received the naan.

I booked a table for a girls meetup. When I walked in I was asked whether I would like Vodkha and Beer. I mentioned I am a non-drinker and I sat down on a back table. The menus were dirty and placed on the plates on the table. The waitress then persisted to occasionally ask me again whether I wanted a Beer or Cocktail. There was a big need to sell alcohol. The food was not as I expected, there were industrial yoghurt buckets on the floor below I could see with open tops, which made me nervous about the quality of the food. The quality of ingredients was not as expected. I really did not appreciate the continuous push to buy alcohol I felt like I was in a bar not a Vedic restaurant.

A lovely dining experience. The only way it could be improved for me is if everything was vegan. Still has lots of vegan options, clearly marked on the menu. I will definitely come here again.

I had the pleasure of discovering OMNOM Indian Restaurant today, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. Nestled in a peaceful corner of Upper Street, this hidden gem offers a serene atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The warm and welcoming smile from the staff set the tone for a wonderful meal. We started with some exceptional starters, including the Chit Chat platter and the pappad and pickle tray. Both were bursting with flavor and a perfect introduction to the rich, vibrant taste of Indian cuisine. The passion fruit juice sharbat stood out as something truly unique—served without ice, it had a refreshing twist that was unlike any drink I’ve had before. For the main course, we indulged in a classic masala dosa. It was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside—just the way it should be. We definitely wanted to eat more, but our stomachs had reached their limit. To top off the meal, we were given two mango bite candies with our bill, a sweet touch that brought back nostalgic memories and left us with a smile on our faces. OMNOM is a must-visit for anyone in the area. Whether you're a vegetarian or not, the food and service here are simply outstanding, and the attention to detail is evident in every dish. We’ll definitely be returning!

Treated my friend for her birthday recently. Although our snack plate arrived quickly, we waited over 50 minutes for our vegetable dish. Every dish was very spicy, therefore not possible to savour the flavours, just hot and oily. I have just read the afternoon tea menu which has prompted me to write this review - in the small print it is stated that genetically modified oil is used for cooking. I was shocked and this has made me really think again about eating at Omnom. This is not what the original Omnom stands for as far as ethics and integrity are concerned. GM oil is the lowest quality and I feel this is something that needs to be addressed. Another thing mentioned in the small print is the 12.5% service charge worded as 'a donation' . It is stated that it is not necessary to pay this, to just ask. But surely that option should be more clearly stated especially when prices are high and the bill already relatively large? I hope these points will be taken into consideration, thankyou 🙏🏻

As a frequent visitor to India, and plant based diet, my expectations were very high and completely exceeded. Incredible food that was a blend of the traditional and alchemy. The food was tasty, the staff were friendly and it’s entirely non-profit. The menu is all vegetarian and most of it is either vegan or veganisable. We especially like the spinach chaat. I look forward to eating here again.

A cute little neighbourhood friendly vegetarian restaurant with all the home favourites! My friend and I dropped in for a few bites, we ordered the masala dosa and the tandoori paneer. Both were nice and tasty & if you’re looking to scratch that itch for a nice Indian meal, I’d recommend a visit for a casual and relaxed dining experience.

We visited today for lunch for my Daughters birthday there was 8 of us. Where we were seated the sun was beating down on the children sitting at the end of the table and it was really uncomfortable to sit there. We asked the waitress if the children who are adults could move to the table next to us, however, the waitress said they couldn’t as all tables were booked and someone was arriving at 1pm. We were there till 2pm ish and no one came to sit there at all. We felt really rushed and were consistently hounded if we were ready to order. Customer service training is definitely needed for their waitresses. The food arrived swiftly but was tasteless. The mogo was so hard like it was stale. The curry was bland. The dosa and pau bhaji was ok. Definitely would not recommend or visit again! Overpriced and Overhyped. Places like Keep Chaating much better!

The food was full of delicious flavours, and the vegetarian/vegan dishes were well-prepared. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, comfortable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back.

We went for a vegetarian afternoon tea, which comes with unlimited tea. Prosecco is an additional charge. Teas selections are pretty good. The starters and mains were pretty good and of good variation. The deserts tier looked better than it tasted, but all in all, it was definitely worth a 4 start. Service us good. Staff are very polite and attentive.

A very nice place where you can enjoy the weather in their winter garden while filling your stomach with really delicious food. Until now my best recommendation is the afternoon tea time. Just look at it!

Went for afternoon tea today, ( the vegan option which is 29.95 per person). Food tasted nice but would have loved there to have been more for the starters. The picture shows what we got for 2 people!

When we arrived I was pleased I had chosen to return, as my friends were excited by the menu and I must say the food was great. They went from already recommending it to their partners, to saying we should not return again due to the oddly rude service that left us feeling uncomfortable and awkward. I specifically said I am vegan at least twice, I always do and I asked for a recommendation to go with my masala dosa. The server suggested a daal and it was brought out with my friends' food. Looking at it, I queried it being vegan as it had yoghurt/cream in it and she confirmed it's not. This would not have been a problem, I was not angry at all,, however the server sneerily told me the others could eat it and I order another one. No apologies or clarification, the expectation was i pay for both as I was being awkward. She continued to speak derisively and gave me side eye for the rest of the time that I was waiting for my food. This was 20 mins, long after everyone else had finished. The other staff also started to respond as if we were problematic and when she asked me if I enjoyed my meal, it was with the kind of malice that made me doubt it's content. It was a totally unnecessary mood changer and an unprofessional attitude. We were really disappointed because it seemed so jolly and bright, with good food initially 🤷

First dine out for Jan 2025 and highly impressed. Enjoyed the plant based butter masala chicken & chick n bites. The black Dhal was rich and tasty & so were the starters. The service was faultless. This place is going to take some beating in my choice of Vegetarian only eats!

Finally managed to get to Omnom for dinner! The atmosphere, service and food was exceptional. Very clean environment with good ambiance. So happy with so many vegan options will need to return to try many more.

Brilliant range of vegan food. Experimental, unusual dishes, very flavourful. It's in a nice setting and warm inside. The staff seem a bit rushed and impatient so was hard to take our time and enjoy but generally a nice experience.

Just celebrated in sister in laws 70th birthday. Atmosphere, food, and staff brilliant. The only complaint I would have is: we pre-booked the dinner but were placed neat the kitchen, which is opposite the front door.. I don't think that was appropriate. They should think about where to place their customers when they pre-book. It's almost like what's the point of booking and it was a special day too. Otherwise, overall.. Great tasty food and friendly staff.

We loved our visit to omnom, the food was DELICIOUS, they have so many great vegan options like vegan butter masalas, vegan lassis and vegan cheese naans! The staff are really lovely and the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice. Defo visit!
